Good spot, good prices. They have a selection of various snack items, alcohol and liquor.

DO NOT GO HERE! It is NOT friendly as the name suggests. Also owned by Chinese or Japanese or something like that. They charge you for everything including a bag and also if using a credit card or debit card its an automatic $1 fees regardless of the amount of purchase. I ended up paying almost $12 for a 6-pack of Bud Light. Im telling you these guys are crooks....please dont go there. You will regret it. I would give it Zero Stars if it was possible.

*See Update below. This place should not be Named Friendly Liquor. The couple who run the store are not friendly whatsoever. They dont accept EBT. They sweat you if youre a penny short. They never welcome or really acknowledge you only if your a minority then they watch your every move. They also never thank you for your purchase. Anyways on the positive side their prices are lower than other liquor stores in the area.UPDATE!!!:Ok, so I am so happy that Friendly Liquor can now officially be Called just that. Sam is now the new owner of friendly liquor on University in Riverside California. Sam is a nice man and has really renovated the store. He greets you with a smile and always acknowledges you when you enter his store. He listens to you, is considerate and has compassion for others. Believe me anyone who enters Friendly Liquor will feel the difference. I dont know what was wrong with the last owner the couple, but they were miserable and so rude they kicked out about 80% of all the locals there in the area for stupid reasons, me being kicked out for being disrespectful because I asked her if her name was June or Jane after hearing someone called her Jane. Thank you Sam and Somar (his cousin).!

Just moved downtown so I figured I’d try this place despite bad reviews. Everyone is right: the clerk is very rude and the prices are high. Better off going to 7/11 off 14th street for beer.

Went to buy myself a pack of cigarettes. The people behind the counter told me that I dont smoke, Ive smoked since I was 14 years old on and off, and refused to sell the cigarettes to me. Then told me never to come back in their store. Very weird experience. Unfriendly Liquor Store is more like it!!

This place is very rude as expensive. They complain about the Driffters and Drunks tha keep them in business. Ill drive the extra distance and avoid this place .

An average liquor store with adequate prices.

This is my go to place one Ive started drinking and need to walk to get more beer. Their selection, while expensive, is better then Maxi Foods next door.FYI, they charge $1 for using your debit card.
