Such amazing pizza! Its like Im in napoli! Love the pizza, pulled pork and meatballs. Shannon was our waitress and she shared the heart of the owner. You can taste love in this food. Seriously amazing. Fresh, house made ingredients. Ridiculous eats.

Most of us got pizzas and they were across the board great. I got the meat lovers and it had the perfect amount of meat and nice fresh thin dough that I rolled up New York style. My daughter got a salad and grilled cheese sandwich and she ate it all, which is almost unheard of. highly recommend this place

We had the Mediteranian Salad, Chicken Wings and the Mushroom Pizza and added the Italian Sausage.Everything was amazing!Cant wait to come back to try the Ruben and the Burgers.Well done!

First time here. I found an item on the menu that I wanted but with a sauce change, they were more than happy to accommodate my request. The food was hot, taste great, and had excellent portions. Love this place. Has a somewhat feel of a mom and pop restaurant with that personal one on one touch from back in the days. If you get a chance to stop in youll understand from the moment you walk through the front door. Oh and they have an actual woodfire oven cooking up your pizza! Top shelf all the way! My first trip to Riverside and I tried this place. Needless to say, I was not impressed. My girlfriend and I both ordered well done burgers and they came to us raw (really pink). Also noticed that the chefs were not wearing gloves while preparing the meals. One chef wiped the counter with a rag, then used the same rag to wipe the spatula used to pick up the burgers.

On Friday February 21, 2020 around 6:30 PM, my family and I arrived at Woodfire Cafe (located at 3965 Market Street, Riverside, CA 92501) hungry and tired after a long day at work. We were excited to try their Pizza!To start with the parking was a bit complicated... there was no parking on the street so we decided to park in the back and drove along some creepy dark alley. Many warning signs of towing were posted. It seem that that parking belonged to the sex shop Romantix located adjacent to the restaurant. Since we didnt have any other place to park at, we took our chances but were nervous and worried that our car would get towed throughout our stay!We walked in and the restaurant was about 75% full. We found one table open towards the back wall and sat. About 5 minutes later a young lady (approximately in her 20s) with curly dirty blonde hair shoulder length greeted us. She asked for our drinks. My husband ordered a Budlight and my son and I ordered water. Soon she was back and dropped off the drinks (so far so good). Five minutes later she came and took our order... we ordered calamari for an appetizer, one Cochinita Pizza, one Hawaiian Pizza and a Stromboli.Here is where the nightmare starts... 15 minutes later my husband finishes his beer, my son his water and the server has not stopped to check on us. We patiently waited another 10 minutes and still no server. My husband finally flagged a male server (he was wearing all black and had a beard) he asked him for another Budlight and he was kind enough to get it. 15 more minutes passed and still no server and no appetizer :(We are getting antsy now. Again we waited 10 more minutes and still nothing on our table... no plates, no utensil, no napkins, no refills. We are feeling ignored. Finally the same male server confusedly brought our appetizer (he almost gave it away to another table). We were grateful to have something to eat! 15 minutes later we finished the appetizer and still our server has not checked on us.I walked up to her and told her that we needed service and felt neglected. As she typed on a computer screen she said Im sorry about that and continued typing with no eye contact and no real remorse. Then I asked her about our pizza. I told her that the two table next to us that came AFTER us already got their pizza and we still havent gotten ours. Then she said Oh it should be up in a minute and continued typing.So I returned to my seat and we waited again another 10 more minutes and still no pizza!! Ugh we were really angry by now. I went up to her again and that is when she discovered that she LOST the ticket! That our pizza order has not been placed. Urrg! I wanted to scream but kept my cool. She said I just informed the owner (a man with a sturdy body, white hair and glasses) and he is placing it now I saw the owner shaking his head and was obviously upset about what just took place, but still didnt come and apologize to us.We sat at the table hungry and mad and still waiting for our pizza. The server comes and gives us a lousy excuse that she was busy with other customers and I told her We are customers too! We told her to cancel our order and she still took another 10 more minutes to get our check for the beer and appetizer we ordered.Overall we waited about 2 hours and got no pizza. The service was HORRIBLE. I honestly think the server was on drugs because she was not all there. She kept messing up and was inattentive. She also messed up on the tickets of the table next to us and had to fix and refix their receipts and it took her about 30 minutes. I am so disappointed. Will not come back again!

Updated...This place used to be excellent. Then the atmosphere declined to a point that taking your order to go was a better option. Now, Im disappointed to say, the food seems to have joined that slow steady decline.----I call in my order and grab it to go. The food at Woodfire is very good. In fact, often its excellent. However, the atmosphere is terrible (most of the time). When its hot outside, its really hot inside. It can be very loud. The grill cooks yelling to each other or just yell for no reason at all. Often they have a portable radio playing at a volume that causes everyone in the dining area to talk just a little louder than is enjoyable for conversation. Did I mention that the food is excellent.

Great pizza. Try the mushroom lovers. Crust is not very heavy and sauce is light but well seasoned. Some nice local options for brews. The seating is different but good, creates a more open atmosphere. Good service too, better than last time we went (over the summer).

This place is a hidden gem! We were surprised by the number of vegan options. I had a pizza with homemade tofu ricotta and it was delicious! We will definitely be back. The restaurant needs a face lift though to help the ambience.

Great pizza, and great sandwiches. This place was a recommendation from a co-worker and it didnt let us down. We had the cochinita pizza, the meatball sandwich and their signature hamburger. All were amazing. We plan to go back and try more food. The owner also was very helpful and very nice.

Our friend recommended this local cafe and it did not disappoint. They have a large selection that includes burgers, sandwiches and oven-fired pizza. The appetizers were delicious. Everything tasted fresh and they make their own mozzarella. My wife had the pulled pork tacos and they had a lot of flavor. I had a burger and the patty was thick and juicy. The fries were the good greasy diner fries. We also had the parmesan cheese garlic fries and you could taste the fresh garlic, they were so good. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. The parking is limited, but we will be back when we are in Riverside.

My girlfriend and I decided to go here because my girlfriend found it on Yelp and it appeared Vegetarian friendly. They were out of a couple beer options and they were out of the meat that my girl wanted on the Reuben. Once we got our food though, no complaints. I had the Impossible Burger that was totally Vegan. I was a little hesitant as I am only vegetarian and some Vegan food is really bland but it was really good. I was glad I ordered it. Their fries are a little unusual but pretty good. I prefer mine more crispy but that is merely a personal preference and not a knock on their cooking. All around well worth checking out. I will return to try their pizza and a couple other items on their menu.

It was our first visit to Woodfire Cafe. It wont be our last. The food was delicious. The service was great, too! We met Jesse, the owner, and he is very nice and takes time to visit with his guest. He brought us a sample of his pork recipe - I wish I could remember its name. It was so good. We had the pulled pork sandwich - different from the sample he gave us. They were delicious, too. I saw the burgers being delivered to other tables and the burgers were huge. Other diners on each side of our table continued the praise for Woodfire Cafe. The menu has lots of choices plus he has specials for the day. Try Woodfire Cafe. You wont be disappointed.

Server was really courteous, great service. As for the food, like the pizza we ordered, good flavor, variety of toppings which were fresh. Theres is one minor detail that couple of slices were burned at the edge. Other than that, I would it gave it five stars. Thank you. Next time we go to Riverside we might just stop by again.

Love this place!!!!! The staff is incredible and the service is quick!!!!!! The woodfire-cooked pizza is absolutely the best. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. It makes all the difference. Very generous portions of guacamole and chips. A large antipasto salad (with big cuts of homemade mozzarella) is definitely large enough to share...again, generous portions. Not only does everything taste fabulous, it also looks as good as it taste. Wonderful presentation. (Everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious). There is a large variety on the menu which includes pastas, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Many reasons to keep coming back. Dont be fooled by the small exterior appearance, for there is plenty of room inside. New favorite place!!!!

Started going to this place a year ago. Fell inlove with their burgers. The meat was so tender and flavorful. We went back a couple weeks ago only to discover they had changed their burger meat, I tasted the difference with the first bite. It was the only place we would go to for a hamburger.....now its just another burger you can get anywhere. Please bring back the original burger meat!

My wife got to choose a restaurant for her birthday and she chose Woodfire Cafe! The burgers here are great and they have the best onion rings in Riverside! We have never tried the pizza because the burgers are so good. They always have a good variety of beer on tap and the prices are not bad. They get busy during events downtown and there are not very many seats but we always manage to find a spot without a reservation. Food A+ Service A+ Beer A+

The guacamole was seriously the best Ive had in awhile. Unfortunately their pizza oven was having issues so they tried remaking our pizza order at least twice. They let us know the pizza would be comped. Then they came back and asked us to order something else because they still couldnt get the oven working. They ended up comping our whole meal. Was really looking forward to trying their ghost pepper jack pizza because my boyfriend has been raving about it. However the Western burger was truly tasty and I was stuffed for the rest of the day. Plus you cant beat the customer service they had! We didnt even complain once and they made up for the oven not working!

They know how to prepare the meats at this place for pizza, sandwiches....flavors are so robust...its like the icing on a cake! Come definitely for the pizza but be open to trying any of the daily specials and the Mediterranean salad with a wonderful vinaigrette is a perfect go to when I am wanting something light and fresh! The food IS divine and the service is good...my only complaint is that when it gets crowded it gets very loud inside the restaurant. So if you are going for lunch get there early!

Very similar of my experience visiting Italy about 10 years ago in that their menu items might seem simple but then the result is the simplicity makes each ingredient really standout. Im not enough of an expert to claim whether or not this is a pure Italian pizza, but rather my point is its prepared in the spirit of Italian cuisine. A mushroom pizza appears plain on the menu but when you take a bite it has way more flavor than expected and really accentuates the best parts of mushrooms, cheese, and fresh bread.

They have awesome food here. Decent specials and the unique food is awesome. I had an awoken burger that was to die for. I like this place but they took a while to figure out how to take a credit card payment. Also an air conditioner would go a long way to cool off the hot lobby.

We absolutely love Duanes steak house. We dine 2x a year anniversary and Christmas. The service is excellent. The good is superb. We couldnt ask for anything more. For fine dining, I would definitely recommend Duanes!!

So my son wanted to go to this place, a relatively new spot. It is by White Park which historically doesn’t have the best reputation so I admit to being doubtful. It also is two spots away from an adult bookstore which was a worry as well for me to bring my family too, but that shouldn’t be the decision maker and I am glad it wasn’t. We had some trouble finding parking which was the only real problem I had with the whole experience. There is parking behind it but there are big signs that say “Romantix parking only” and the parking across parking the residential street is only available after 5 pm, which fortunately it was. The other option is across very busy Market street.

Been here so many times i love a lot of the food on the menu. Theyve always got something new to try. You can taste the freshness in every thing. Home made mozzarella, the best homemade banana Ice cream with about 5 ingredients (just ask them to blend it well sometimes theres big chunks of banana which I dont mind but my kids love a smooth ice cream). And the watermelon limeade is sooo good.

The food was okay. I was amazed that they ran out of Dough and ingredients, and was unable to fulfill our orders, instead we had to eliminate three meals and combine our orders to share. The Waitress, although very nice, was clumsy and was dropping everything and spilling drinks on our party. Then come to find out, there is absolutely no parking at all, unless you park on the busy street, or on a side street; as the parking lot out back can not be used as the neighbor in the same building will have your vehicle towed, which will cost you at least $300.00 bucks to get your vehicle back; however, they have no signs at Woodfire, to warn patrons not to park in the parking lot directly behind the business. Now, on a positive note: The food was pretty good, but not greatest; however, for what the place is the food is as good as it can get. The staff, was nice and accommodating as possible, considering that they ran out of Ingredients and Dough, and a patron’s vehicle was towed away and cost them over $300.00 bucks to get it back (me). The waitress did go next door and ask them to get the vehicle back and the neighbor (A Sex Shop), and they refused. (I SUPPOSE I SHOULD HAVE WENT NEXT DOOR AND BOUGHT SOME CONDOMS OR JELLY, TO BETTER TAKE THE SCREWING I GOT ON THE TOWING).
