Schewels on Ferncliff Ave. is delightful. The selection is fantastic, and the staff is helpful and efficient. Cornell helped me pick out the perfect couch for my living room, giving me space and time to look around the store on my own and being available for questions when I was ready. Furniture shopping isn’t always stress free, but my experience was easy and pleasant.

Well first of all my business was conducted over the phone with Kristi and George due too personalreasons.However, I can tell you that both Kristi and Georgewere both outstanding. George especially went above and beyond by going over both sets of mattresses with me. Since I wasnt able too be there and wanted too make the right decision, George took the time too listen too what I needed. I am so appreciative of this because now days you dont get this service. You see I have some bigger boys at 64 and weigh in a little more than 250. So I needed a great support mattress for them but as a SURPRISE. And after several phone calls my purchase was complete without anyone knowing other than the three of us.So I thank Kristi and George for getting this taken care of so quickly and cant wait for the delivery. My husband and I both suffer with back pain pretty bad! So today going in we knew what we wanted, as soon as we hit the door it was a super friendly gentleman right there to greet us! And he also gave us a $100 gift card towards our purchase great surprise 😃😃Shortly after a young lady Batinnia approached us with an open arm and a smiling face willing and ready to assist us in finding the item that we were looking for which was a mattress. Let’s just say because she was so kind and so helpful we walked away with that mattress, box spring and a mattress cover she was amazing!Not only was the in person service amazing but so was the guy’s who dropped off our item’s they came super fast and was willing to put everything together 💕💕💕💕💕💕 did I mention this was all in the SAME DAY? Kenny greeted me at the door and got me a wheelchair and took me to see recliners, the item for which I was shopping. He listened to me as I explained what I was looking for in a recliner. This was the first place I shopped and needed to compare quality and price. I looked at all the other stores, i.e. Ashleys, Grands, Ashleys Outlet etc. After researching these other stores, I returned to Shewels and purchased not only the recliner but the whole living room set which included a loveseat and couch. Delivery charge is also reasonable compared to other stores and they deliver to inside your home. Kenny was very courteous and not pushy. He also knows about the furniture he sells. Kenny answered all my questions, he was professional, never rushed me to take on another client. I guess I cannot say enough good things about thisSalesman. The customer service was wonderful. The delivery was in between the times that was giving to me and the delivery men were nice and careful.

I explained what I was looking for to the salesman and he lead me to a beautiful and comfortable sofa and chair for my livingroom. It was a perfect match for my patterned rug. Unfortunately I did not find an ottoman I liked to go with the set. Sofa was not in stock but should arrive mid March, and the set will be delivered to my home then. Quality was good and pricing reasonable.

Schewels has a great selection and quality furniture for the price and is always running deals and having sales. I was lucky to get a great salesman for my bedroom furniture purchase and went back to him for my mattress purchase. I highly recommend you ask for George he is knowledgeable, has great customer service, is honest about products and goes above and beyond!

My wife and my experience at Schewels in Roanoke was smooth and enjoyable. Scott worked with us to show us several dinning tables and one that fit our size and style. We chose to pick it up and once home it appears to be solid, durable and fits nicely in our kitchen.

They were friendly and offered help, but did not hound me. The store atmosphere was very nice, and most importantly to me, they were very non condescending. I will definitely shop here again!

I went to the Roanoke, VA location to purchase a new mattress. I was greeted at the door by Beverly Osborne, who graciously brought me back to the department. She listened to my questions and kindly answered them. She then showed me some mattresses that met my choice. I got to lay down on them - the final two, several times. She explained the warranty and guaranties. I was also very impressed with the store’s policy of free delivery, set-up, and removal of my old mattress. I purchased the same day. This was my first time shopping with Schewels, and I will definitely go back for my next furniture purchase.

Great selection had the dining room set I was looking for! I also bought a gorgeous buffett server for my dining room as well. The price for both was less than just a table at Grands! The financing is easy, short application easy approval process as they have their own in house financing. Charles was my salesman and he is terrific! He is very knowledgeable, honest and not pushy like the sales people I encountered at Ashleys and Grands. He listens to the customer and is not just out to make a sale. If you need new furniture go by and ask for Charles, he will take good care of you! I will definitely be going back there for all of my furniture needs!

I have been shopping at Schewels for years now. I work with Cornell, and it has been an enjoyable experience. And the staff is pleasant to work with.

I was greeted at the door by Beverly, my sales person. I told her what I was looking for and she took me to the recliner section. She answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. She didnt hover around like alot of sales people do she just said Ill be over here if you need me. This gave me the opportunity to shop freely without feeling pressured. Not only was Beverly a pleasure to work with, but the whole process was easy, quick and pleasant. Financing was quick. I had recently purchased furniture at another local store and I waited almost 2 hours for all the paperwork and financing to be completed. Another great selling point is their quick delivery service. I bought my recliner on Saturday and will get it on Tuesday. Wow thats fast.Before you buy any new furniture, go to schewels first. Those other guys arent that friendly 🤣 and their prices are WAY to high

I went there just to look around a little bit, not sure what I was looking for. The Sales person (Scott) approached me and offer his assistance if I needed it. I was grateful for him not being pushy and giving me space to just look on my own. I ended up finding a beautiful bed and a small dresser. He held it for me until I could go home and measure to make sure it would fit. I will definitely be shopping here again. I loved the experience. It was certainly different.

Even though I came in minutes before they were to close she didnt rush me and let me make my own decisions and wasnt pushy as all.
