I love this little bookshop in downtown Roanoke! Not only is their collection in the store expansive, but having the ability to order a title they donβt have in store is amazing. No more Amazon for me ππ»
The staff more than make up for this storeβs slightly limited selection. One young fellow helped me out by giving me an extensive breakdown of several books, and catered his suggestions based on my interests. Definitely worth checking out.
We bumped into this amazing little bookshop. The staff was amazing the guy in the front desk was super helpful and friendly. Heβs very knowledgeable and was able to help us find books for all our girls. Would definitely stop by if your in the area. Loved this place.
Fun, little, local bookshop. The owner was so friendly and interested in each person on her shop.
Great tiny book store. HUGE fantasy collection. A lot of great finds.
I went for Independent Bookstore Day and the staff was enthusiastic and knowledgeable - when I mentioned I was there because of Jenny Lawsons new book, they had read it and had recommendations for other great humor books :D
Randomly stopped here with my daughter and enjoyed the books and conversation immensely. I am glad places like this still exist in the world.
This is a Must Visit if you are passing by Roanoke. Perfectly mesmerizing collection of beautiful books. Three floors of books!! The gentleman working the front desk was friendly, not overbearing, and very knowledgeable about each of the collections. What an experience. The best local bookstore Ive ever been too. Wish I was more local to participate in some of the book events. Very active bookstore with lots of passion. Cant wait to come back!
It is so great that Roanoke has an independent bookstore on the Downtown Market. Featuring a large selection of used books and a good assortment of new, the incredibly helpful staff will also track down other works - newly released, older, obscure and used but in great shape. They have very convenient hours, in-store and curbside pickup and a really good website. I try to visit a couple times a month and always have great chats with the folks in the store about books and life at large.
Great locally owned bookstore. They can order you anything that you would get from Amazon and in about the same amount of time!
This has to be one of, if not my absolute favorite bookstore here in Roanoke. The service is extremely friendly, the atmosphere is perfect, theres not a single bad thing I can say about the place. Bonus points for them having a good selection of Terry Pratchett hardcover books here, too. I would honestly come to this place more often if I didnt just have my legs for travel. I would also give this place ten stars if I could, but alas, Google fails me there. This is a bookstore everyone should go to.
I love Book No Further!!! This charming, independent bookstore carries a great variety of titles, will order anything for you that they dont have, and the owner and personnel are always happy to chat and make book recommendations!
We found some great used hardcover books for a reasonable price. The owners seem pretty cool too.
I am so glad we stopped here during our visit! This store is a wonderful place to peruse a diverse collection of books! It is small but you are sure to find something that speaks to you! The young man working at the front was very knowledgable about different titles and offered us many suggestions based on our tastes. This is definitely worth a stop!
Very knowledge staff, a huge selection, and such a nice looking store. A go to when looking for a new book!
Absolutely delightful
Very tiny book shop but with a good diverse collection of titles. Cool place to check out while visiting Roanoke. Friendly service as well.
An independent bookshop with a great selection. The owner is super nice and helpful. I had asked for recommendations for something from a local author, and she took the time to help me out and I ended up with something I loved (The Brotherhood of the Wheel by R.S. Belcher). Really awesome shop that I wholeheartedly recommend!
Very cozy surroundings. Friendly staff. Great selection. Not overwhelmed with too much inventory.
Had a great conversation with the folks that worked there. Small and quaint place. If I wasnt visiting from out of town, I would definitely go back.
This is a real local bookstore--a great place to browse and find out what to read next. The owners also host book signings and seminars of interest to readers and writers. I love it.
They are letting me do a book signing on March 7, 2020 at 1 pm. I wrote a childrens book called Lou Battles Bullies. Come on out and get a book for you child or grandchild. Its a awesome book for any child to learn that Bullying is wrong.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a good selection of books to choose from and the staff was more than happy to help find or recommend a book.
What a great local bookstore, right in the center of town. Wonderful!
Very nice to me. Helped me find a book I could afford. Let me sit and relax/read for a while.
This store is a gem. The owner is lovely and engaged. So glad to have it in Roanoke.
Really cool place. Nice to see local small business doing well.
This is one of those locally-owned gems of a book store that I wasnt sure was still a thing. Owner Doloris Vest knows her books and loves helping people find the ones that will delight each customer (or whoever theyre buying for), and she goes the extra distance to create opportunities for writers and readers to meet. It has a blend of new and used books and book related fun stuff, and is the kind of place I can easily pop into for a 5 minute browse or spend an hour and take advantage of the comfy chairs in the corners. A must go-to!
A book placed in the wrong spot . When I took it to the cashier, she took the book and told me I cant sell it to you for a dollar. She never offered another price, just repeated that she couldnt sell it and then set the book aside. The lack of customer service skills was very evident. I will NEVER return to this store.
Great bookshop. Great owner. Great guest authors. Also, buy local!
I came to listen to Liza Mundy, author of Code Girls, and she was amazing! Excellent speaker.
Im visiting from Vancouver, and stumble across a gem of a bookstore. The owner Doloris was very nice, and helpful!
