Always a good, healthy experience here, including customer service. I didnt find the variety of seasonings in bags that they used to carry, but I did find some new jellies/jams to try in the pictures. I love making my jams/jellies, etc. from April to Fall when fruits and veggies are in season and plentiful.

Food is fresh and pretty good. Cashiers make up for slow Deli and meat service. A little over - priced. But, usually the quality is worth it.

Beautiful store with unique options. Beautiful flower selection and decent prices. The pricing for the food can be expensive and I wouldnt do my normal grocery shopping here but I like the unique finds. The employees are very nice and friendly.

Probably my favorite grocery store! More like a specialty store with fantastic desserts, huge selection of fresh produce and many other unique items in their bakery and deli. Also, their package meals for Valentines Day, Mothers Day, summer picnics and many others are incredible!

A bit pricey, but wonderful choices. I shop on Tuesdays to get their $2.99 specials on chicken beast and hamburger meats! Clean and very helpful workers! They have a wonderful deli and bakery.

Fresh Market was splendid as always. I love their meat department. The butchers are friendly and quality of meat and seafood does not disappoint. I Seared Tuna tonight. It was frozen when I bought it. YouTube Chef said dont use frozen, guess what? Frozen was delightful. Oh and the dark meat ground turkey makes wonderful burgers.( If grilling they need extra support.)

This is the place to go for super good food, especially fruits, veggies, and their deli food selections. A little pricer than Kroger etc, but worth it. Store is always clean and nicely organized. I shop here when I want something special..the desserts are fantastic!

If you are looking for freshly prepared goods to bring home, this is definitly the place. Great selection of wines and craft beer too. Ive always found the layout of Fresh Markets kinda odd, but it also lets you get exactly what you want real fast if its a dry good, and then kinda freely browse if its like a deli meat or prepared food. Id say its like the grocery store for grabbing a special meal at home or stuff to take to a party or cookout.

I truly hate that I only gave Fresh Market 3 star rating based on a very RUDE cashier. We were standing near the opening where you put your buggy for them to start ringing things up & she took her hand and shook it at us & told us to move. So we backed out of her line went to another line.

Love the sushi and all of made fresh pasta salads. The coconut shrimp is so yummy!

I used to love their prepared foods selectionfor a quick dinner fox on the way home, but was sadly underwhelmed and left without buying anything. The quality has gone downhill in the last year and a half. Probably wont be back

Shopping in the meat section is like shopping in a candy store. So much to choose from and its fresh.

Generally I really like The Fresh Market even though theyre owned by Kroger.But lately when Ive gone in on weekend evenings I can hardly find anyone to help me at the meat counter. I stood there for a good 8 minutes waiting and saw a person in the back behind the glass and tried to get his attention to get some assistance. He looked up at me several times and though I tried to get him to come out he kept doing whatever he was doing. This has happened several times and each time I had to go to the deli counter and have them find someone and a couple of times it was the manager who came and assisted me. Not sure what is going on there these days but until about a month and a half ago I was getting great service at the meat counter but now now. I hope this isnt Krogers way of doing things filtering into Fresh Market. 😔

Every visit is great. Everyone is so helpful. Their bakery is especially amazing if you need a treat.

In general the store is clean and the people are friendly. The bakery lately has overcooked many of the pastries that I used to make a special trip to get when I have a certain craving. I also wish they would bring back the empire state chocolate cake. My review is based on the past 3 months and literally walking out with an empty basket to due to them not having what I went to get or it was overcooked. I will revisit and update my review if things improve.

I prefer it because its small and not so bright as most stores are. I easily go here before Earthfare for any specialties or etc that Im looking for. Its comfortable at Fresh Market.

Clean and nice market where I did not go for a while.

Fresh Market was my favorite grocery store for many years. Moved on the other side of Roanoke a couple of years ago so hadnt been on that side of town on the regular. Had a little time and wanted a cut of meat that you normally dont find at a Food Lion/Kroger but always had @ Fresh Market. When I went in it was still as friendly and clean as I remembered. Problem was that many of the shelves(meat/fish cases included) were depleted/bare. Also didnt have many of the selections that you would have go to a speciality store or Amazon to get but could normally be found at Fresh Market. Again, the employees were more than helpful, they just couldnt provide what they didnt have access to(in this case skirt steak). Maybe its just the fact that us coming back into an open world has business trying to get back used to live shopping. Will stop by again in the coming weeks to see if it was just an off day.

Love the $5 chicken, pizza and sushi on Thursdays.

The staff is the best Ive ever seen. They are all so very helpful and even thanked me for coming in to the store. The store is clean and the produce was excellent. Its a little pricey, but it looks like they have quality items. A wide assortment of coffees and candies. So glad Roanoke has this store!

Recently purchased what were supposedly prime meats, one filet and one ribeye.. Both were mostly inedible. At $30 and $25 per pound this was unacceptable. Photo attached is part of ribeye leftover. This is latest in many disappointments and I am finished with this store.UPDATE: Managers response below was true to her word. Received a full refund today Upgrade to 3 stars as a result.

Very impressed with this bakery. Fresh products. I had ordered a red velvet cake from honey baked ham and when I went to pick it up...even though I had my confirmation information, they had sold my cake and there were no others. Thankfully, fresh market had one...it was fresher and much better than the honey baked ham cake would have been. Glad it worked out this way but my review of hbh isnt as nice as this review. All I ask is for what I order to be what I get! Fresh market did that!

So, I actually think this place is fantastic. However, you cant see anything in the butcher fridge because of the Covid protocols. So, when I get in line, I feel like I am being rushed because I never have an idea what I want. So, I dont go there. But if you know what you want and what they have, I bet it is five star all the way.

There are definitely more healthy options here than some other grocery stores. The only dissappoiment was in the lack of variety in the prepared foods section. Its a smaller store, so I understand this; though I would have liked to see more items for all dietary needs instead of so many dairy and meat based meals. I ended up finding an orzo salad that was absolutely delicious! So I cant complain too much.Other than that, the staff was great. My cashier, Devin, was super friendly.

Staff is always friendly. Store is always clean. They have the BEST coffee. I work at Mission BBQ, so im at Fresh Market getting coffee just about daily. Love the variety.

Good stuff but its expensive

We traveled over an hour from Clifton Forge to go here. The vegetable and fruit selection (especially mushrooms) would have been enough but the sake and Narragansett are the real reason for the trip.

The staff is always friendly, and their food is always delicious. Safety is taken very seriously here. Im glad I dont live closer because I would spend far too much here.

Always an excellent selection of fresh foods (produce to deli to meat), a surprisingly good selection of beers and wines, and a relatively full selection (for the store size) of typical things a foodie needs for preparing great food at home.If I had to complain about one thing (because why bother writing a review if you cant add constructive criticism), it would be the excess selection of various olive oils and the relative dearth of different types of oils or vinegars.

The sushi and bakery are great, but that uppity classical music always grates on my nerves, everything is overpriced too, not my favorite store, just going into a grocery store should feel uncomfortable.

Different variety of items you dont see at other stores, But they are rather expensive too so pick your battles.
