I cannot say enough good things about my service advisor Dawn and the technician who worked on my car. I regret that I didn’t catch his name. I recently moved to Rochester from Louisiana, and this was my first time having my car serviced since my move. My ten year old Civic needed a bit more than an oil change and tire rotation. Dawn and the technician were direct and helpful, offering to show me the physical issues with my car. Dawn made sure to keep me updated throughout the process. Ended up having a pretty bad experience here unfortunately. First they tried offering me significantly less than what my trade was worth and made it seem like it was going to be tough work to get more for it and that they were really going above and beyond for me *eyeroll* Eventually came to a deal and my lease application was approved, but was told they didn’t have it and that they could get it to me “by the end of the month” (which was 4 days away) and that if it wasn’t, they would “go get it.” A week later I was told it wasn’t here yet and given another date. Then that the car was in Ohio and should be here any day now. Then given yet another date. THEN was told that they “don’t know why they said Ohio, it’s actually at the Mexican border.” Not once did they offer to go get it either (when it was supposedly in Ohio) I understand that it’s a hard time for new cars currently, but I wish they were up front with me from the get go that they had no idea when or where they were going to get the car rather than telling me whatever I wanted to hear just to make a deal! Or at least have been consistent with what they were telling me! They had a different color on the lot (that was a bit more expensive but nothing crazy) and wouldn’t match the price for me, they would rather lose the deal all together. Told me “why would we do that ??” I ended up calling a different Honda dealership, they offered me $4,000 more for my trade right off the bat! Before even seeing it in person! No questions asked. Went there and got the new car the same exact day and it was SO easy and quick, reminded me how the experience should have been from the start. Definitely never going back to Garber.

I have been interested in the Honda Passport for a long tome. I was not planning on purchasing my Passport when I walked into the Garner dealership on 8/31/21. However, I was there for about 30 minutes and no salesperson came to me. However, Al Bello came up to me just as I was getting ready to leave and said “How can I help you?” I told him I was interested in a Passport on the lot and he quickly got me the keys, copied my license and I went for a test drive. I fell in love with it immediately and closed the deal. Al took about an hour after the sale to show me all of the vehicle’s features. As a trauma nurse I do t have time to wheel and deal. Al gave me a good price right up front and I got my car the same day and drove away. Garner, Al is a keeper. Thanks for my Passport!

I just purchased my 2nd vehicle from Garber. It’s a beauty. A white 2021 Honda Passport Touring. There were many reasons I came back to Garber, but it can best be summed up as honesty and integrity. Annie was my sales person. She is fantastic. Great personality and thoroughly professional. I was a buyer for 40 years in industry. My mantra with my suppliers was first price, best price. That’s what you get at Garber. No running back and forth to the sales manager 15 times. Everything is up front. She meticulously explained all the features of my new vehicle prior to me driving off the lot. Mike the finance person reviewed my needs, didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need and was able to use some left-over credits from my previous vehicle to create a viable plan going forward for both undercoating and extended warranty. Deb has been my service advisor for the last 4 years with my previous vehicle. She is always straightforward. If I need it done, she tells me. If not, she also tells me. Garber service has always been done right the first time. It’s a pleasure to work with such a customer focused organization.

I visited Garber Honda with my collectible 2003 S2000 AP1. My car has only 37,500 total miles driven. I saw a service writer named Debbie. She saw the same thing I did which was a slightly deformed windshield molding. There was a Technical Service Bulletin which I had which is TSB 00-064 which covered many Honda Vehicles built during that period with the same issue. She said she had been with Honda for 30 years, did not want to see the service bulletin. She told me to just go to a glass shop and essentially go away. I will. Thank you Garber Honda. Never will be visiting again

Just bought a new Honda HR V and love the car. The staff was very professional and friendly. Our experience with Garber has been terrible. We purchased a used 2013 Subaru last year from Garber and we have had numerous problems with it since purchasing. A few months after we purchased the car, it started making a rattling noise, which we realized was coming from the exhaust pipe being completely disconnected from the muffler (see picture). The service department told us that wasnt covered by the extended warranty that they conned us into buying and wanted to charge $1200 to fix it. It took me weeks of calling to get in touch with Adam to complain about this. He never returns calls. Adam basically told me this is what you get for buying used cars even though this was clearly an issue that existed when they sold it to us. Finally got them to fix it. Now, the brakes have completely given out. We brought it in and found out the brake lines are completely rusted through! I may not be an expert in cars, but I am 100% this amount of rust damage cannot be done in one year, even in a place like Rochester where there is a lot of road salt. Which means, once again, that they sold us a car with a known issue and this one put our lives in danger because the brakes failed. Once again, we were told that the extended warranty doesnt cover this because it doesnt cover rust and they want to charge us nearly 25% of what we paid for the car in the first place just to fix it. We also had to replace all four tires six months after we bought it. Dont buy from Garber, especially if you are buying a used car. They will sell you something with known issues and refuse to fix them unless you pay some absurdly high cost.

My wife and I were going to buy 2 brand new vehicles from this dealer. A 2021 Honda Odyssey sticker priced 44K and a 2021 Honda civic type R sticker priced 38K. Then the sales person tells us that they are selling the Civic for 58K (20K over sticker) not the sticker price of 38K due to it being a limited car. So we immediately left the dealership and they lost 2 sales from us. Good luck trying to sell that car for 20K over sticker price! We will never ever shop at this dealership or any of Garber Dealerships after this.

We went to look at a pre-owned vehicle and decided on purchasing one. When we negotiating the deal we noticed that there were dings on both the driver and passenger doors. We stated that we would like them repaired if we purchased the vehicle. Our salesman assured us that they would be and even brought his manger out to look at them to be sure. When I went to pick up the vehicle I noticed that the dings were still there and questioned it. I was told that the machine they used to repair them was too big for the size dings. A few days after purchasing the vehicle I was sent a survey on my experience. I stated that my only disappointment was that we were promised the dings would be repaired and they were not. I then received a phone call from our salesman and was told that they deal with the ding doctor for their repairs and that they could make an appointment for me and it would just cost me what they were charged. So first I was told they couldnt be fixed and now they can be but at my expense, which as I was told isnt very expensive. Obviously it was too expensive for them to fix to make a customer happy. A couple of weeks later I noticed squeaking from my brakes so I made an appointment to have them looked at. I was told that is was just dust and that my brake pads were like new and the thickness of the pads were at an 8/9. When I got home I thought that number seemed of so I looked at my 182 pt. checklist when I received the car and that states that the thickness was a 6. Now Im not a mechanic but I am pretty sure that the pads dont get thicker the longer you drive it. So either the person who did my checklist when I got my car or the person who checked my brakes needs more training.
I started my communications with Ryan through email. After we had the terms mostly narrowed down I came in and made final negotiations with Steve Carroll. Great experience with both of these two. Ryan was straight forward, didnt give me the run around and most important was responsive. After we agreed on the car Steve helped me through the process of getting rid of my first lease and was patient with my many questions. Thanks Garber, Steve and Ryan!

The waiting area is clean and the customer has an option of sitting in the main area with a tv or the work area which is quiet and private enough to read or work while waiting for your vehicle. My wait time was reasonable and if there was questions regarding additional work needed, the service rep always came back to brief and get consent to do the additional work.

I was attempting to purchase a vehicle from Garber and had been in contact with their internet specialist/contact regarding a vehicle. I spoke with a mile and the first interaction was great. He stated he was going to speak with his sale manager on some numbers and get back to me. It’s been a week with no contact at all and I’ve reached out to him with no returned communication. This isn’t how you earn someone’s business spending $45k.

A very pleasant car-purchase experience. We got a great price and financing. Shiv Patel made everything very easy and comfortable. We arrived at 12 for a test drive, filled our the purchase form and loan application, left at 1, and came back to drive it away at 5:30.
Ray Dublin was the ideal salesman. Cut to the chase and was very transparent about the details. He printed the Carfax report for me to look over before I signed anything. The price was good and I love the car. A few issues worth noting. A few days after purchasing the car I had to bring it right back to be serviced because the injectors were misfiring. But it was covered so no charge. My biggest gripe is that they forgot to attach my battery after they repaired the car. The connectors must have been touching just the right way for me to be able to drive it home. I had to call AAA because it was behaving like the battery was dead. We immediately saw that you could lift the connectors right off. Im not a mechanic but I think you guys have to tighten those :)

When I dropped off my car … there was no loaner, then when the part was delayed due to a medical situation, no one even bothered to call me to advise there would even be a delay .The work was 100% but really not sure about heading back to that location . We discussed a fair trade value, which was right where I expected it to be based on my research beforehand. The price of the vehicle I was looking at was a little under the average price around the area for similar units. I could not have been happier with this transaction. My wife recently set an appointment up to replace the driver side visor on here new Passport. This visor was unstitched from the factory and was noticed the day after she took delivery of the car. Garber service told her they would order the part, a service time was scheduled. We received many texts about the appointment that all was good. She showed up at the correct time and date then waited 1 hour to be told that that visor is on a nation wide backorder.. Sorry...I understand the back order, but 1 hour of her time to sit and wait to be told this instead of being phoned and told it was on backorder.I hour wasted in her life, gas to and from. Ray Henton is an excellent sales man. He made process of buying my new vehicle very quick and easy. He was very knowledgeable about Honda and it’s many models.
