My daughter got her wedding dress here and the experience was amazing. Kendra was very helpful from the first visit to the last. My daughter found earrings that she loved and wanted to find a necklace that would go with them. Kendra knew the designer had a necklace that would to with it. It was delivered in gold, she wanted rose gold. No problem. It was the wrong length, no problem. We were able to get finish she wanted and the length she wanted all in time for her wedding. As for tailoring, Fatima is the best! She is knowledgeable and professional. Both women were always kind and full of complements whenever we were there. Wonderful experience all around.

Kendra is one of the sweetest humans you will ever meet. With being from out of town, I crammed quite a few bridal shops into 2 days during a visit so I could purchase my dress with enough time to have alterations done. Again, Kendra was so friendly and accommodating with me being from out of town AND having to postpone my wedding. She was able to make my appointments at Silk fit in any time I had a visit home. Fatima (Thimble Tailor) did my alterations perfectly! It was so nice to have the alterations done at Silk so I did not have to bring it back and forth to another tailor, and they stored my dress for me until the week of my wedding to ensure it stayed in perfect condition.

The dress selection was beautiful but the customer service was what made this absolutely terrible. It was my first dress shopping experience. My time was cut short because one of the employees friend showed up and she wanted to fit her in earlier it seemed. There was already another girl trying on dresses before I got there and still there by the time I was told that My time was finished and I was denied to try on any more dresses. They made me feel my special occasion wasn’t worth their time and made me feel less important. I took my money and went to Scarlet Bridal boutique, and they were so much more helpful and made every moment so special and personal.

I had an amazing experience at Silk. The space itself has a great atmosphere and I felt comfortable there throughout the process. The best part was by far the person who helped me find my dream dress, Kendra. I was unsure of what I wanted at first and she listened to my comments every step of the way. I felt very heard by her and this was reflected by the beautiful dresses she pulled for me to try. I never once felt rushed or pressured in any way. Kendra is incredible at what she does. I am so happy that I was able to find my dress at Silk.

I had the most incredible experience at Silk! This review is way overdue. They were the only bridal shop in Rochester that carried Pronovias gowns which is how I ended up there. It was the first and only shop that I went to. I showed Kendra the photo of the gown that I *loved* and minutes later we had pulled 4-5 gowns that she thought fit the ticket. The first gown she recommended was it and the one I ended up walking down the isle in. I quite literally have never felt more beautiful in anything in my life and received so many compliments on the big day. Fatima did the alternations and when I say they were *exquisite*, they really were. She took her time to make sure it was perfect and I was comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Silk.

If I could give them a ZERO for customer relations I would. They refuse to respond to my questions regarding an issue that was unprofessionally handled by their management. Evidently, they felt they had the upper hand and refused to honor their part of the CONTRACT or at least offer an adequate solution. They have chosen to completely disengage. People can be deceiving...buyer beware!

My daughter went wedding dress shopping here mid April with her 2 maid of honors and really liked the third dress she tried on. Then she went shopping with me. But she knew that third dress was the one. BUT SHE TOLD ME SHE COULDNT SAY YES TO THE DRESS WITHOUT ME ‼️💞

My wedding was last week and I wanted to share with future brides my nightmare at Silk bridal. The alterations of my wedding dress were a disaster and at no point did the seamstress apologize, but rather blamed me. I came in excited when my wedding dress arrived. It was supposed to be my size with limited alterations- this was not the case. At my first alterations appointment It was very large, and I was told the alterations would be $700 dollars. 2nd alteration appointment, I was yelled at for losing maybe 5 pounds and was warned if I lost any additional weight (Im a bride, come on), they would charge me more for alterations. Now fast forward to my 3rd fitting, and the dress was way too tight. I had not gained nor lost any weight. I started to cry, my wedding was in less than 5 days and my dress was uncomfortable, I could not breath. Fatima (the person doing the alterations), was not a nice person at any of my appointments (any advise i can give, avoid her like the plague). I came into the store for my 4th fitting, and now the dress again was way too big and now i was 1 day away from my wedding. My strapless dress needed to now have straps added (at my cost btw of $75) so that the dress would not fall down. Also, the dress was way to long, and I was told nothing could be done to fix this. At my wedding I was tripping over my dress. I picked up my dress the day before my wedding it was in a garment bag, I was told it was pressed and cleaned and not to open it until my wedding. I saw a black smudge through the garment bag so I open the bag when i got home to see the dress and found massive black stains all over my dress and strings hanging from everywhere. Again they did not take responsibility for the black stains saying i stepped on my dress- which was not the case, since i didnt try on the dress after i was told it was ready for my wedding. Oh to top it off, I paid over $250 for a vail and they told me the vail was ready to go and pressed- refused to show it to me. Turns out, on my wedding day, they gave me the wrong vail. Avoid this place like the plague. Terrible customer service, and horrible tailoring craftsmanship.

The place is beautiful, functional and comfy.Both my experience and Kendra was amazing!She knew what worked for my body and what I wanted more than I did. My second dress I tried on was the one! I instantly fell in love.You will not regret coming here! :)

It was an amazing experience for my daughter to pick out her wedding dress.

I went a year ago with my future daughter-in-law and my daughter. We had an appt. (Which you should have anywhere) We were greeted kindly and told to get comfortable and she served us Champagne. We were told to peruse the racks to see what we liked. This then gave them a style she liked. The staff were patient as she tried a few on and then retired her favorites. When she chose her dress they put her hair up and tried a veil. Yes!We were ecstatic to find it was to be in a sample sale a week later and we could have the same price!6 months later she decided she wanted the veil. The salesgirl had saved it in the computer! Easy, ordered and done.Recommend this shop for any one!Thimble Tailor is the best for alterations, cleaning and preserving!

How this place has so many good reviews blows my mind, but then again the employees of the place also reviewed themselves so that explains some of it.. and usually Im the type of person who gives everybody that benefit of the doubt and dont do bad reviews ever. But this place I wouldnt wish on any other future bride. The first time I went there and picked out the dress that I wanted it was great Kendra helped she was awesome great personality loved my experience at first. then a week went by I found a cheaper place to do my alterations I called Kendra and told her I need to cancel my alterations with you guys Ill be picking up my dress she said okay I called two days later and said Im on my way to get my dress she said no you cannot you need to call you cannot just show up and pick up your dress which I found a little funny because why. So I made an appointment to pick up my dress went and got my dress got home to show my mother who is bedridden so she wasnt able to see it the first time when I picked it out was all excited pulled my dress out of the bag in the zipper looked like it was intentionally ripped apart. I have been to the boutique three times before this and tried on the dress and there was no problems with the zipper at all go pick up my dress after canceling alterations and my dress was tore apart I even have pictures. I called Kendra asked her about it there was nothing she could do unless I did alterations there. Thats not all either I had to order straps for my dress to get custom made. I ordered these straps before May was told my straps would be in the end of July Im getting married August 31st didnt get my straps until August 3rd and I never got a call when my straps did come in I had to call and keep asking if they were in and every time I would call and ask if they were in she was very rude. Very upsetting I was excited and Kendra completely ruined my experience with this completely rude and careless... Oh and one more thing the day I bought my dress my bridesmaid noticed my veil had a hole in it Kendra said ok we will fix it when I went to get my dress Kendra sewed it for me in two seconds and it looks horrible now.. like really! Beautiful dress but horrible place it came from

All of these ladies’ customer service, especially Laura, made it a 100X better experience than anywhere else I’ve been to. I recommend this place to everyone. My experience with silk bridal was awesome! My mom and I went there a week before making a final decision, and tried on a dress and found one I loved! Kendra was great, she saved my measurements and saved all my info so if we did come back, I could easily order the dress. I went to two other bridal shops just to make sure there wasn’t anything else out there, and the whole time I kept thinking of the one from Silk! Absolutely loved my experience at Silk Bridal! Not only did they have an amazing selection of unique dresses and veils, they were very helpful in helping me find exactly what I wanted. This place is so poorly ran it doesnt even deserve a half star. Kendra is an absolute liar, manipulator, and a disgrace to the bridal community. You are so highly judged from the moment you step foot in her shop judging you as to whether or not you belong in the store or not. Weddings are absolutely expensive and an investment and when you are planning a wedding the dress is a womans dream her entire life. It is the center of attention. When you are spending thousands of dollars on a wedding you try to save money where you can. When you decide to use another company for alterations whether its based on personal preference or to save money, Kendra takes a personal vendetta out for you and destroys your dress promising only to fix it by spending your money in her store on the alterations. Now you can have a button sewn on a dress and its going to cost $30, so when she personally ruins your special dress to make money costing you additional money, stress, and heartache, it is not only disgusting and rude but its fraudulent. Shes caused many brides unpleasant memories due to her malicious actions and I wouldnt recommend this store or Kendra to the anyone. Be sure to think twice before stepping foot in this store because Kendra will play sweet and nice to get your business but turns your experience sour the moment you decide to take business elsewhere such as alterations.

There are two bridal podiums, on separate sides of the salon, allowing two brides to have separate but special moments with their family/friends, who can sit on beautiful plush couches - the interior design was exquisite and classy - made me FEEL like a princess!There were LOTS of dresses to pick from in my budget (under 2,000) and the staff was amazing!The ladies at silk are LOVELY! I did not feel pressured AT all to make a decision AT ALL when in their salon. Making decisions are very difficult for me most times, but the ladies allowed me to think about my dress, and SUPPORTED me wanting to leave and maybe come back.Turns out, while at ANOTHER salon, I couldn’t STOP thinking about my dress and Silk EVEN allowed me to come back THAT SAME DAY and have my very special “say yes to the dress” moment with my mom, dad, and soon to be mom. I brought my wedding dress from silk in 2017, and when I think back about my wedding experience, silks customer service is the most terrible part out of everything. I didnt want to leave any bad comment but I feel if this memory still bothers me after 2 years, I probably need to share it.My husband lived 2.5 hours away from Rochester and I lived in Wisconsin back in 2017. When I received the dress, the lady worked there said it shouldnt be a problem for the alterations that I am remote. But later on, they ask me to come in for fitting almost every week and also bring a friend (which is understandable). But when I explain that is something hard for me to do, they got upside. (The girl roll her eyes and left me with myself in the fitting room for a while) I think she just assume silk should be the the most important thing in my entire life, when I tell them that is not true, they start to judge on me. I can see they are not happy that I am not bring in a friend and I am not able to pick up a dress on a weekday. They dont understand that each bride is different. They definitely did not make any attempts to understand my situation. They definitely did not try to help me, or make things any easier for me.They almost didnt finish the alteration by my wedding date, I pick up my wedding dress the afternoon before my wedding. I need to work so hard with them to make sure they are doing their job timly and properly. I dont know why they delay it that long, I think they just didnt take every customer seriously. They only think they are the center of the world.Compared to ~$3500 I spend, I think the customer service I received is just not worthing it.

My friend is getting married and we have gone to several different bridal shops. Silk Bridal is definitely on top of there game. The customer service was out standing to the whole team. However if you are trying to keep your budget more on the lower side ask about price before you book your appt.

My experience with Silk Bridal Boutique was wonderful at first. Things could not have been better! However, once my ex fiancé called off our wedding, and I canceled my dress (no refund on down payment), I thought I had heard the last of the reminders of my heartbreak. I was very wrong! Nearly four months to the date from when my ex fiancé canceled our wedding, Silk Bridal Boutique called to say Kristen, your dress has arrived and I am looking right at it! It is beautiful!! I held back my tears and politely said I canceled my dress almost four months ago. After a brief hold they came back on the line and said oh it was our mistake. We were able to stop shipment on the dress. That was all I got! Not an apology for making the mistake in the first place, but also no apology or remorse for bringing up the heartbreak I have endured for the past few months. This was unacceptable and I could not resist placing this review. Like I said, the first experience with them was lovely, but after this absolutely unacceptable mistake (oops), I have nothing good to say about Silk Bridal Boutique.
