The entire staff are always professional and friendly. On a previous visit they identified a major issue with my eyes that I am now getting treatment for. The frame selection is great. The service is fantastic, always willing to help you find a great frame and getting you the best deal by comparing store discounts to your insurance. I have been going to this location for over 10 years.

I had a wonderful experience at this location. A friend referred me. I always went to Reed Eye and now I will only come to Pearle Vision! The staff was so kind, friendly and knowledgeable and I was so pleased with the personal time, attention and care that was given to me! I truly felt like they welcomed me into their staff “family”! I worked mainly with Kim who was absolutely AMAZING but the entire staff joined in to “help out”! They made me feel so comfortable and I never felt rushed in my decision of picking out just the right pair of glasses for my needs! I visited this location a few months ago when I was having eye pain and light sensitivity. The location that I usually go to didnt have any appointments available for several days. This office is quite a bit further from where I live, and driving any distance with eye pain & light sensitivity is not the safest, but I was desperate. I called and explained my symptoms to the receptionist, and she immediately asked if I wore contacts. When I told her that I do, she said they didnt have any available appointments, but she was going to talk to the doctor to see if they wanted to squeeze me in. She immediately called me back to say that the doctor agreed that I should come in to be seen that day. I was so impressed that she knew to ask if I was a contact lens wearer, and that she recognized that this meant the symptoms I was experiencing could be an indication of a severe problem. Not only because the office I usually go to didnt do this, but because this really speaks to her level of knowledge. When I got to the office, the staff was so kind & accommodating. Instead of having me sitting in the bright waiting room, they directed me to one of the exam rooms and turned the lights down so I would be more comfortable. I ended up being diagnosed with a corneal abrasion (scratch). A few short hours after the pain started, I was walking out of their office pain free. Thank you to the exceptional receptionist (I wish I remembered her name) for her knowledge & compassion, and to Dr. Outinen for his willingness to squeeze me into his busy schedule. Even though there is a location significantly closer to me, the exceptional care that I received here is worth the longer drive!

I arrived not knowing I needed an appointment but they managed to squeeze me in anyways. Fixed my frames quickly and were very kind and professional. 10/10

I chose Pearl vision since my health care provider covered part of the expenses of my new glasses. The people working there were always friendly, knowledgeable and caring. I picked out frames and lens and after a few weeks went back since I was not sure they worked for me - I couldnt get used to a much larger frame -my problem! I stayed with the glasses and went back today and had decided I did not like the frames, and wanted my prescription put in my old frames. After a discuss we worked out a compromise and I am looking forward to getting my new glasses. I will advise friends and family to head to Pearl Vision when they need new glasses.

Great place to go if you want to be concerned about Glaucoma… on two separate occasions. I’ve heard from others that have paid for the optic nerve testing here and have also been told there was concern for glaucoma. There must be an issue with their exam technique. Do you yourself a favor and go to Flaum Institute. You’ll save time, stress and worry.

This place is the best! I walked in a week ago not knowing I needed an appointment. Karen managed to squeeze me in with an optician so that I could pick my glasses and sunglasses. A week later, both prescriptions were ready. No complaints, excellent service.

The staff here is awesome. They went out of their way to fit me in on short notice for a quick fix on my frames, and they even went out of their way to make sure the frames and lenses were sparkly clean when they gave them back to me. The lenses are so clean its like looking through a brand new pair! I can actually see how scratched my lenses really are now!

I had a wonderful experience! I hate picking out glasses and only buy them every 4-5 years since I mainly wear contacts. Pearl vision had a great selection and Sarah D’Auria was so helpful while trying to pick out both a style I was looking for, as well as a pair that was flattering on my face. I received my birthday coupon days after spending almost $400 on glasses and Co-pay, called them to see if they would honor it and I was told no! Very disappointed!

Absolutely awful. Poor customer service. Not straight forward with pricing and the price magically went up when we let them know we have insurance. Had a contact lens fitting. The trial came and the right eye was blurry and not staying in place. They argued they already ordered me lenses. Still working on resolving the contact issue.To update: Another employee apologized about the contact confusion and ordered new trials. This then fixed the above issue with the contacts. Then I received a call stating I had left a review and therefore the owner did not want to do business with me. The funny thing is all they needed to do was make it right, which one of their employees was already working on and this review would have been updated for the better. Definitely would not be 5 stars but the eye exam experience was great and the contact lens experience was being fixed. What was a misunderstanding and an employee that mishandled it was made worse by an owner who then had an employee call to tell me they did not want my business. One of the strangest interactions with a business ever and once again proved my statement about poor customer service.

My family and I have been shopping here for at least 5 years now and the team never disappoints. Jessica always goes out of her way to make sure we are completely satisfied with our selections and even goes as far as researching other options for us based on what we are looking for at that particular time. With health and safety as their number 1 priority and they stop at nothing to make sure everyone adheres to COVID restrictions and sanitizing the entire store & merchandise between customers. WOW! Super fantastic group of people there. Warm greeting into the store and exiting the store. The conversation beyond the service is just such a home/friendly feeling vs a patient feeling. It was welcome to hear that I could get the sunglass style frames I like in a daily wear perscription without the sunglass tint but still have that option. Other places would just shut you down and say no and sell you something you didnt like. In the midst of Covid no less they were very hygenic as well. AWESOME GROUP! I Almost want to go back just for tea, biscuits and conversation.

I scratched my eye and Pittsford pearle vision worked diligently to get me seen right away. They were booking out far but managed to squeeze me in. I have a weird insurance and they took the liberty to research it for me so I could save some money. They genuinely cared about my eye issue and were great through the whole process from the very first phone call to the actual exam. All staff and the doctor were awesome. It was my first time there and will now be a permanent customer!

Originally purchased my eyeglasses from your Victor, New York location, which is about 11 miles from my home. Today, January 23, 2021, one of the small screws that hold the lens in place fell out and the lens fell out. Because it was snowing fairly heavy, I did not want to make the drive to the Victor location.After searching the internet, I found a Pearl Vision location 2 miles from my home in the Pittsford Plaza on Monroe Ave. in Rochester. I drove to the location and asked the young lady at the counter if they would replace the screw to hold the lens. She asked me where I purchased the glasses and I told her the Victor location. She went in the back work area and returned telling me it would cost $5 to replace the screw. When I question why it would cost for the screw as I had purchased them from Peal Vision. She told me it was a franchised location and they had nothing to do with the Victor Store.I can tell you I am very disappointed in the service offered by a national brand optical provider. This service should be provided at no cost, regardless if they are franchised and which location the glassed were purchased.

Pearle Vision in pittsford has the best selection of glasses. Janelisse helped me pick something outside of my comfort zone and i get the most compliments on them! They also have greats deals if you’re getting more than one pair so I was able to get a back up. I will never go anywhere and will be sending my whole family!

Ive been getting eye exams and contact lenses here for years and up until today everyone has been nothing less than kind and professional. Today I called because Ive been having an issue with my prescription, which I found out was ordered incorrectly - not my mistake, thats YOURS. (I was supposed to revert to my prior prescription, which is not what happened) The woman on the phone was very short and impolite and told me that there was nothing she could do about it, told me to have a nice day and hung up. To say Im disappointed is an understatement.

I was seen quickly and given great care. I knew what I wanted for contacts but had some questions about others - everything was addressed and I never felt rushed. This was my second time going to Pearle Vision & at this location. I’ll definitely be back next year.

The day before leaving for a few days of vacation after having had a lifes worth of pandemic, my glasses broke. I would not be able to enjoy the vacation without being able to see, of course.Fortunately, I had a spare pair of frames. I called Pearle Vision in Pittsford to ask if they could squeeze me on short notice in to put my lenses into the new frames. They did so during their lunch hour, which was so very impressive. Not a very good experience. I needed a new eye doctor and prescription. I went in for the exam and brought my old contact cases, I was very happy with my current contacts. I told them I wanted the same things. They told me to try this other contact which I had never heard of before, so I tried it. It was call Brand X or something. They were extremely uncomfortable and felt like sandpaper.After only a week or two I had to get those things out of my eyes and went back. They then wanted me to try a Bauch and Lamb lens. Again, not very comfortable but wanted to give it a fair go. At my next follow up appointment I said I wasnt happy with them and again asked if I could just stick with what I knew worked for me.Each appointment I met with a different tech/doctor and had to go through my whole story again. Finally I was given trial lenses in the brand I liked, and they were very comfortable, but the wrong size.After 5 months of trial lenses and multiple appointments I finally got them to write the prescription. I went online and ordered contacts.Very challenging to work with them. I went to the first appointment with what I knew I was happy with, and they could have easily just allowed me to stick with that. But instead put me through this ridiculously long process only to end up right back where we started.I will not go back.

Had my first visit today. Everything was great, from being able to book online to the actual exam. I was greeted promptly when I came in and seen right on time for my appointment.The doctor was welcoming, kind, personable, and thoroughly explained my astigmatism. Ive never had a doctor explain it so well before, including really cool examples of how it works. He also explained contact lens options and risks really well as Ill be trying them for the first time soon.The woman who helped me order new glasses and contact trials was helpful, informative, and efficient. She also went to the extra step of finding how to best use my insurance to minimize cost.I look forward to my next visit where they will teach me how to properly use and care for contacts.

Best vision center in Rochester!In 50 years of wearing glasses I think Ive been to most of the vision stores in Rochester but Pearle Vision in Pittsford Plaza is the best. I have a difficult prescription to both prescribe and adjust, but the expert optometrist and opticians at Pearle got it right the first time with a perfect fit! (which rarely happens with me). I was so pleased I went back and got a second pair for a spare when my health insurance permitted it. Pearle Vision has a great eye glass selection. I picked up my new eyeglasses and they met my expectation. I purchased a pair of MK designer glasses and there was a defect. The manager worked diligently to replace my glasses. I appreciate the effort Pearle Vision - Pittsford does to provide customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend you check out the selection at the Pittsford, NY location.

Terrible experience. Made an appointment and still had to wait. Ultimately found out that the LEAST expensive pair of frames was $150 with most costing $200 and up. That was with my VSP vision plan. Typical prices to expect in Pittsford.

Update:They were able to accommodate us into their schedule as a followup of this review . Thanks Pearle VisionLast years experience was pretty good. This year we booked an appointment for my two kids with Dr. Edward Sachs and when we got there we were assigned a different doctor. My both kids got a new prescription and after wearing the new glassed they both start complaining about their vision. So I called them back to setup a quick follow up appointment and they took 3 hours to figure out whether we need to pay again or not. Ideally we shouldnt have to pay again as we just paid for the full eye exam 1 week ago but they want us to pay again. This is not a pleasant experience at all. They lost us as clients forever.

Pearl Vision Pittsford location is always a pleasant experience. We stopped going to other eye centers for not good service. Maura is exceptional. She took the time with my husband and me in finding the right frames. She is both professional and very pleasant to work with. She truly cares about her customers happiness and it shows.

I broke my glasses beyond repair. I called for an appointment and was in within two days. They verified my last visit to determine if an exam was necessary and it was not. I picked out new frames with their assistants and new glasses were ordered. I was called two days later with a message that my new glasses were ready to be picked up. When I went to the office they fitted them for me and off I went. This is my fourth pair of glasses from Pearl Vision over the last five years. I have always been completely satisfied.Bill

After researching several eye care options in the neighborhood, I decided to give Pearle Vision in Pittsford a call. From the moment Maura picked up the phone I knew I was in good hands. Customer service is their forte and Maura and company made the entire process from scheduling an appointment to selecting glasses seamless. Doctor Sacks was great as well and thoroughly explained each step of the eye exam.

I have been a patient and customer at Pearle Vision for about 17 years and I have always had a great experience there. The doctors are great, really thorough and attentive. The Staff are always helpful and the selection of eyewear in always pretty on trend and up to date.I recently went in to get some lenses put into a pair of frames as well as get a check up about my contacts.Maura Denning helped me. She was truly amazing. She helped me price out both frames that I wanted prescriptions in, told me about the best Health Care providers that cover eye care, set up an appointment with the doctor to come in and see what is going on with my contacts AND she helped me fix my very bent and almost broken sunglasses. She went back and forth at least ten times to get them just right. It was such a wonderful experience with someone who just genuinely cares about her job and her customers. Could not have asked for a better experience and service.Maura is truly a gem.
