Im in Rochester for medical care and wasnt familiar with grocery stores that were within walking distance of my hotel. While I like going out to eat, it isnt my first choice for ALL meals. (I also like to have snacks available)While searching for places I found this delightful store just across from my hotel. I told the young man who directed me to the grocery area that I read it is locally owned. He said the current owners have owned it since 1974.I can only assume that the gentleman helping check me out was the owner. While talking with him, he told me that his family was from South Dakota (like my mom and dad), but he was born at home in rural North Central Iowa.I wish I had taken a picture of him. He looked so daper with his bow tie and the sparkle in his eye.Im not related to anyone associated with this store. I believe in supporting locally owned mom and pop businesses. If you happen to be in the Mayo campus area, please check them out.
Great family owned store. Friendly, helpful and reasonably priced. Very close to Mayo. If you forgot something, this is the place to go.
Really nice store! The employees are great and cashier really nice not worrying about the spare change I didn’t have. Thank you!
A wonderful family owned store. Please shop here, you wont be disappointed.
It was 10 mins to closing when I spotted the store and realized I might find that one item I forgot to bring on my trip. Found it right away, super friendly store clerk rang me up then when I asked for the quickest access to the skywalk he walked me to the door to point out the way. Awesome customer service!
Mayo employees please support this great downtown Eagle store more? This Eagle store has Been in downtown Roch for over 100 years. And if Eagle store doesn’t get more business traffic those of us who live downtown Rochester will have extremely less options to buy very basic goods than we already have in downtown Roch. Eagle store is Still family owned and they have snacks, beverages, OTC meds, that mayo employees could grab quick over lunch. And yes Eagle even a prescription pharmacy and Eagle has fun tourist gifts and nick knacks. Thanks so much for reading a decent single dude’s random post That lives in nice downtown Rochester MN. Enjoy the day. Jared A.
Convenient, local, friendly... lots of Rochester memorabilia
This store is great! Desperately needed a Button battery and to my delight, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
This is a great corner drugstore in the heart of the city. The employees are friendly. They have lots of little gifts if you need something in a pinch.
I have shopped here for years and everyone is very helpful and friendly. And the selection is excellent for a store this size.
Lots of treats and neat trinkets. Superb customer service
Its was super close to Mayo and had a good variety of foods and bottled drinks.
The man behind the pharmacy desk was extremely helpful, these guys are excellent
Nice convenience store...family run... very helpful staff
Great unique little store with many collectable items.
Ive gone here for years to get my prescriptions filled. Just like every other place in the world, theres the occasional hiccup in service, but all in all the service is quite favorable. The staff is friendly, and its locally owned and operated, so they actually care about helping out the customer.
A landmark of Rochester. Sorry to say they no longer fill prescriptions because so affordable compared to other pharmacies but they continue to be committed to the community with their other services and they always make you feel valued.
If you need something for personal use, they probably have it. I go here for. Bus passes.
Great selection and wonderful owner!
This lame place only take cash. They wont take credit cards or checks.
Nice little place
