We ordered, a counter top from Barrett several months ago. They helped us pick one that was in stock so it would only be a month until it would be ready. After three months of waiting, I stopped by the shop. When I left that day they said everything would be ready Saturday. The next day they called and said they only have half of the order. It has now been another month and a half, I am still waiting for the rest of our order. They do not return phone calls and seem very disinterested when you ask them for information about your order.

I couldnt find what I needed at any of the local hardware stores. Someone recommended Barrett to me, so I went to check them out. The owners are absolutely wonderful, I left with exactly what I needed. I will be using Barrett from here on out!

During the NYS Pause in Covid I had to order a countertop for a custom job. I knew Barrett Wood was under strain like every small business but they came through! Bill made the transaction both about quality work and relationship with the customer. So when I had to start a new project on a different kitchen, after interviewing three places, I chose Bill again. His price was in the middle of my quotes but his personal expertise was what sold me. This time I was on a deadline. I will say I did have to put some pressure on to get the countertops on time but when I saw them today, my heart skipped a beat. They are so beautiful!!! I am beyond happy with the end result. And it feels good to support a local business!
