I have been buying point shoes for over 20 years and the personal experience I had with Eric was incredible. He took the time out to try all different types of shoes and gave me his honest opinion. A good shop if you are in a bind and need something fast. 1 of only 2 shops left in the Rochester area!! Prices are a bit high vs the net but it’s a retail shop so to be expected. BSS was bought out a number of years ago by another person or company and used to give 10% off to college students with an ID but sadly do not have this any more :( Staff is friendly and helpful. Tried to buy leg warmers but they didn’t have any in-stock and said it would take up to 2 weeks to order them. Decided to go Capezio online because w shipping I can get them at a cheaper price and in 3-5 days. I recommend calling ahead to see if they have what you need in-stock. They do seem to have a good supply of kid and adult tights, leos and shoes. If you are looking for guys dancewear especially shoes I would recommend ordering them online since they have a limited stock and are more expensive.

After doing years of barre, I am beginning ballet as an adult and I was so excited to get my shoes, stocking and leotard today. The employee who worked with me was so unhelpful, rude, cold and seemed to be offended by my lack of knowledge of the slipper/ leotard sizes (I am a beginner how am I supposed to know exactly what I want, that is why I came to a store instead of buying online). It was not a great experience and it really dampened my excitement. I really hope that this was a fluke and is not what the rest of the Rochester ballet community is like.Honestly youre better off researching what you need and going online to buy it. This was such an awkward, unhelpful, uncomfortable experience and I really hope that this employee is not like this with all of their customers.

They had only 2 gymnasts leotards 2 chose from total in my daughters size. Two total. Not the best.. however staff was very kind & helpful.

Do NOT tell people to pull their mask up over their nose! The CDC says no harassment of customers. You are lucky I have it on as Covid is a hoax! Stop being afraid. Don’t work in public or go get vaccinated if you’re so afraid of other people who aren’t near you!

They had the leotard and tights I needed for my daughter and they always get us the dance shoes we need.

Wonderful staff. Had all the items I needed and if they dont they will order it and are not put out by having to do this. I do feel they could have a better selection of leotards at a more moderate price.

We have taken our daughter here for point shoes for a couple of years now. They have been very nice and worked with her as long as necessary to find shoes that for her correctly. Their process are reasonable as well.

They have everything that youre looking, but the prices are a bit expensive. The staff is so nice and they are always there to help you out and get you the best thing for your money. Love this place ❤️

Its a very small space thats located in a multi-use building. So when you walk in, you have to walk for a little ways until you see it. The place has the basic starting ballerina needs, Leotards, Tights, Shoes ( Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe) and some fun extras. I was very surprised they sold adult leotards not just childrens and some shoes. The prices are reasonable . They do sell some fancy multi- colored leotards that were $80 and up which surprised me. But you can get cheeper at Discount Dance for sure but they sell all the basic needs including adult which is super nice.

Friendly, helpful, and sold me their last rack n roll from the window display. Great source for fringe and stretchy sequined dance trim. Shelves of it. Will return.

For starters I will NEVER shop here again!!!! I am a previous dancer and did all of our shopping here, now as a mom to a dancer we started doing our shopping there. We went in on a Tuesday night (website states they are open till 8pm on Tuesdays) we got there at 6:45pm and they were closed! When we went back Wednesday morning I asked why they were closed early and they said oh yeah, we have summer hours I told them they need to update the website and she shrugged her shoulders. After all this, we get my daughter fitted for her tap shoes and of course they dont have the size in the style that she needs so we have them order them. I was told they would be in no later than next Wednesday. I called because I hadnt gotten a call saying they were in. Long story short I was given the run around for 2 weeks. Once being told they would be in in 2 days, then I was told they were on back order, then I was told they were NEVER ordered!!!!! We ended up going to Inspiration Dancewear out in Webster where she had the exact shoes she needed in her size! Not only were they over exceptional in customer service, but they offer a discount program for future purchases! We will NEVER shop at Baileys ever again! Ever since the old owner has been gone Baileys has gone down the tubes! The girls are very un-educated, act as if they dislike their job (always miserable) and their prices are way more than anyone else!

Smaller selection of tap shoes than I was hoping but a bigger selection than any other place I tried. All told, it was a good experience. Staff were helpful.

This is a dance merchandise store, and they helped us out with the sizing of ballet shoes for my daughter for under $30. Will be going back when we need more items.
