Fantastic place to find all sorts of parts and components for electronic experiments and projects. Best of all is exploring the store, see what you can find. If youve never been there and are into electronics, this is a one-of-a-kind store worth spending time in.

Probably one of the last electronics parts places in our area. Limited parts selection. Most prices are above average. Good parking and average service.

Great little place. They have stuff you cant find in the big box stores. Also theres someone there thats knowledgeable about what youre looking for.You can find individual components like resisters, capacitors, etc. If you need a part to repair that one of a kind piece of electronics you should visit this place.

Awesome place. This is Radio Shack on crack. Its amazing all the replacement parts, and adapters you can buy here. I absolutely will be a lift time customer. The owner is a really nice and interesting guy too. I had a conversation with him regarding health, and some printer talk too. If I wasnt there for work, I easily could stayed and talked with guy for hours. Really nice guy, very open and entertaining. And again the options of stuff he carries, no one in retail does anymore. It incredibly refreshing to finally have a place to go when I need parts.

End of an era. Last electronics store in western New York going out of business. Used to be fun hunting for parts in that back room.

A wide selection of many many different electronics items. Prices are a bit high, but many of these items would require a large order to obtain otherwise. The person there is knowledgeable about where things are which would certainly help if you did not have time to just browse around.

Since Radio Equipment Corp. in Buffalo went out of business, I now make the trip to Rochester if I cannot find the part in the Buffalo area. Goldcrest is a great asset. Most of the time they have the part I need, and if they dont have it in stock they will order it and call me when it arrives. Their prices are very reasonable. SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING

Lots of electronics parts not found anywhere else, centrally located, and very knowledgeable. Great for audio/video and commercial electronics as well!

One of the last places to purchase electronic components. If you do it yourself and remember the good old radio shack, this is that on steroids. Huge inventory and very knowledgeable staff. It’s a little known gold mine in the city.

Need to find that hard to find plug or electric component or random part? They have it or know where to get it. Very helpful, found a solution to my problem with a series of adapters that worked perfectly! Very friendly and the regular customers are friendly too.

I went there to find a cord for my laptop production keyboard. The man had at a very reasonable price! Would go back for further electronic component needs. They seemed to have everything necessary for electronics builders and tinkerers.

Goldcrest Electronics is like what RadioShack used to be back in the day. They sell a wide variety of electronic items and parts and are not a bad place to pick up a stray bulb or battery that you might be in need of. If its a battery that youre purchasing here make sure that they test it before you leave as some of them have sat around for years.

Been going to Goldcrest for 25 years... More electrical parts than electronic parts. Worth going because theyre the only game in town.

It was a good place for electronic components... a few years ago. Now the stock is low. Is good for old pieces though.

Perfect place for spare parts for electronics, or to browse for ideas. Staff are very friendly as well.

Went in for an analog multimeter and got one at an absurdly cheap price and picked up a $10 used transistor radio and a magnetic screw tray. Didnt want to leave because browsing was so fun.

This store is not what it used to be. All they sell now is high end electronics and large parts. Never found anything I needed from this electronics component retailer. It was once a booming hobby shop and now its a gloomy imitation of RadioShack stores but without cellphones.

Goldcrest is local and has everything one needs. Radio Shack is now gone but Goldcrest persists because there is demand for being able to buy locally and have it TODAY.

If you dont have the time to wait for a part online, Goldcrest is most likely your only option for the Rochester area. Staff is helpful and they have a variety of electronics goodies. And they have RGB strips!

Love it every time I come here! Went the other day looking for a few LEDs and random parts (for a Ghostbuster Halloween costume) and they were super helpful setting me up with the proper parts and configurations to make it all work for a novice like me.

They have every thing I love this place excellent customer service one of my favorite places.

Selection is not bad. It could be a little more organized, stuff feels tossed on the shelves. It is a little expensive.

Place to buy parts for your doomsday device, or whatever else you want to build!
