They charged me $47 to put a tub in my snow blower tire. When I asked if there was a cheaper fix, they said they couldnt stand behind their work if they didnt do it right. I will drive further next time. The only positive thing is it was done relatively quickly (the next day). Customer service 101, do the smaller jobs cheaper and people will come back to you for the bigger jobs.

Nice little shop close by. Had exactly the part I needed for my mower at a reasonable price. The woman who helped me was terrific and funny! Will be going there to have my mower serviced.

Stopped by looking for a throttle cable to my old snowblower. They had it. Installed it and realized there was more needed to my old girl than just a cable. Ended up buying a used one from them. It was gone through completely and starts on the 2nd pull. The guy at the counter with glasses (I’m terrible with names) was super friendly and very helpful. I will be back for all my small engine needs

Took my Cub Cadet to Titus for service. When I got it back it looked and ran like the day I bought it. Sure they are not the fastest, but I see a lot of reviews where people just seem to think that the can turn these things around in a day when there are a ton of other machines ahead of theirs. This is simply an old school business that does things the right way.

6 months ago I gave a great review to one of my favorite local businesses, see below. Bad news now. Went in yesterday and bought a can of fuel $36. Went home and couldnt remove the cap. 2 of us tried but no luck. No big deal, lid was defective. So I punched a hole in the cap and tried to pour the fuel into an empty can. Ended up spilling 90% of it onto my driveway, no big deal. Took it back for a refund or exchange. I was asked somewhat sarcastically if I expected them to buy back the item from me. No it was defective, not their fault, an easy exchange would be fine. Nope. He offered to SELL me another can at cost. That meant I would have to pay almost 150% price for what I needed. This should have been an easy transaction to a good repeat customer. I left with a $36 lesson and no gas and disappointment.......previous 5 star review = I have used this company several times in the 6 years I have lived nearby. Always for repairs on my lawn mower and chain saw. Every repair was done as explained and never had to return it. Time frame was acceptable considering it was usually the busiest time of the year. The prices actually have never been over $60! Once there was a minor dumb on my part repair and they charged me less than $10! And each staff member has been very friendly. I will continue to use them for repairs and probably will use them to buy new equipment in the future.

This place is an absolute scam! Don’t bring anything here to get serviced because they’ll hold on to it for a week and do nothing with it and you waste $50. Also if they don’t have something in stock if it has to be ordered they’ll charge you for shipping. Uh no you have tools that require attachments it’s your responsibility to have it in stock.

Titus mower recently completely refurbished my snow blower. Im a complete idiot when it comes to machines, so of course, I couldnt figure out how to get it started this winter. Tim, a repairman, came to my home and gave me a complete tutorial. My old snowblower works like new, and they went out of their way to help me learn to use it. I recommend this shop!

I needed a special mower bolt that was difficult to find even on the internet, so was not sure a local shop would have it. When I went to Titus, I was promptly greeted by two friendly employees. One of them looked up the part and retrieved it from their storeroom in about 30 seconds. The price did not seem bad, certainly cheaper than buying online and paying for shipping.

Brought my lawn mower in to get fixed. said it would take 3 days. two weeks later i get a call to come in and pick it up. They bring it out to me. Thankfully I started it before loading it into my vehicle because it ran worse than when i dropped it off. they said to leave it and they would get it fixed at no charge(go figure...i already paid for it to be fixed and they didnt do anything). two weeks go by and i get another call that my mower is ready again. i come to pick it up and...surprise, they have no idea where my lawn mower is. I wait 30mins as they are running around trying to find where my mower is. so not only did it not take 3 days to fix my lawn mower like they said it would but i made two trips to go get it and a month later i FINALLY got it back. they made excuses left and right for why it took them so long to fix. they couldnt even own up to the fact that i shouldnt have had to make two trips to pick up my mower. it should have been fixed right the first time. they tried giving me a lawn mower back that wasnt fixed. the owner was a complete jackass. he didnt care about anything. i would never recommend this place to anyone. customer service was a joke and they did a terrible job fixing my mower.

I live in Irondequoit but will definitely go someplace else next time. The woman who answered the phone was very unfriendly, borderline rude. They did not return my mower with the mulch cover and when I called they did nothing to resolve the matter. They said they would never have removed it and that maybe it was in my garage somewhere. The one gentleman there begrudgingly offered to find out how much a replacement would be but of course never called me back. They also said they would call if it would need anything more than a tune up. They didnt and proceeded to replace the mower blades without asking me first. I have a brand new set at home they could have used. So now Im out the money for the blades and have to spend my time and more money to buy a new cover so I call mulch my grass. Absolutely the most terrible customer service I have encountered in quite some time. Do yourself a favor and go to another shop.

Dont do it!I will NEVER return here.First fix on my tiller took over a month (two weeks past the promised finish date), when I finally tell them I need this now, I have customers waiting to have their gardens done and pick it up, its still leaking oil and Im promised that itll be fixed after my busy season at no cost to me. I bring it back, they promise 3 weeks, it takes 6 weeks, and then shake me down for another $25.

Over priced, If I could rate no star I would! I will no longer be going here for any service! I understand being busy but for one when its a state of emergency quit working on mowers and snowblowers or walk-in chainsaws if theres people without power coming in with generators! Im sure other customers wouldnt mind if you helped someone get heat in their house first. Also gives you a finish date then extends it because they couldnt get to it! Leaving you high and dry. Ive brought simple push mowers to them in the past and had similar issues. If you dont think you can get to it by the time you say then dont give a time! Or instead of taking peoples money let them know!!! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!

I called last year when my snowblower wasnt working. Guy who answered the phone told me it was $50 for them to pickup & drop off..I explained Im literally down the road!!!!!! Im at Culver & Titus. Dbag wouldnt budge. And people want us to support our local businesses? I will but not that one! No thank you. 2.7 rating tells all. Beware!!!!!

You can do much better. Dont put yourself through this.I was charged for unwanted repairs that cost more than the oil leak. After having my machine for three weeks they said sorry, those come with it. You cannot just get the oil seal fixed. To have an oil seal replaced I was obligated to have cables replaced, a new spark plug put in, and oil changed! I was treated rudely by their receptionist when trying to receive my machine back after it was 2 weeks over due, and charged again when they couldnt fix the problem the first time. Class act!

Bought a used chain saw from Titus mower, brought it home it would not start, there was also gas leaking from rubber primer. they replaced primer.I brought the saw home and again it would not start. Brought the chain saw back to Titus Mower told them I still could not start the saw, this time one of the mechanics waited on me and he tried to start the sawand he could not get it started !!!!! He told me they would again take a look at the saw. About a week later I got a message the saw was done a women there told me to see another mechanic when I came back for the third tiome. What happened next was totally unbelievable, when I saw themechanic I asked him if they had to replace any parts in the saw to get it to start? He said no there was nothing wrong with the saw, he said I was the problem not the saw. I could not believe he said that to me, I guess his ego was more important than his customers. At that point I had had enough I told them I wanted my money back. Never would I buy or haveanything fixed at Titus Mower!!

Unauthorized repairs, 11 days to replace a drive belt and fix a slow tire leak. I was charged 60.00 to fix a idling problem I wasnt concerned with or asked them to look at. They told me that my tire didnt have a leak, I had to ask them to replace the tire tube as I think a tire that needs air every week quality for a leaky tire. Then I had to wait 6 more days for that repair and oil change. They wanted payment up front that I thought was odd considering our family has used Titus Mower many times over the years. I owned a auto repair and body shop and found the lack of faith an insult. We have tried to continue to patronize them mainly because of the location but I have had enough. They dont even know who their customers are.

After seeing the reviews I was reluctant to bring my snow blower here. They were the only Toro vendor near me and I wanted to have something checked out that may be under Toro warrantee so i had to bring it in.When I called to make the reservation I was pleasantly surprised by a informative and knowledgable agent. The agent was able to troubleshoot a little with me while explaining Toros warrantee policy.The agent was able to make an appointment to see the snow blower within a day or two and was very courteous and forthcoming with their repair process.Drop off was easy and the agent was, again, polite and courteous. He was able to explain in detail what needed to be done, how long it may take, and any charge they would have to apply.Pick up was quick and easy again.Each time the agents were informative, polite, capable, and professional.I dont normally post or give ratings but this 2.6 rating was very different from my experience. I will be bringing my machines here from now on.

My husband purchased a belt for his mower, and after receiving the wrong belt, he went back and was given a refund. He then asked if the man would help him locate the correct belt, as he was trying to take care of some last minute outdoor tasks. As my husband explained what the initial issue was, and what might work, the man just ignored that he was even speaking. Then said to my husband, Can I help you? He said, Ive been talking to you this whole time. To which the man responded, Oh, I cant help you. He clearly was too bothered to even listen to the issue, let alone try to help resolve it. I guess some companies just dont need local support like they used to.
