Im just putting this up here but I rely on these kinda businesses cause my mindset has alotta songs stuck there. So Im constantly swapping out guitar strings. I happened to be in town today and its five pm and rush hour traffic and theyre closed. Its Friday.The economy this and that falls on us as people. With fifty thousand vehicles wheeling past idk how in the world I could justify closing shop til traffic dies off. Same words for Music Mart around the corner too. When the streets are dead.so is revenue 101.Alot of these stores have suffocated over the years. I live in small town in NW Wi and its dead all the time cause its a thin crowd. Its a contrast to living in Rochester and all the high horse attitude comes down to earth. My point is you boneheads list a cash and carry sale could have been upwards ofer fifty bucks cause I stock. Im frustrated with the ethics of modern day USA.

Amazing job. I brought in my new Taylor for some new strings and some gear. The guy that helped me find a humidifier seemed to really know his stuff. Then, I believe the young lady that helped me with new strings and a cleaning was Jessica. Not only was she one of the most gorgeous women ive ever laid eyes on...she went above and beyond to make my baby purr and sparkle like new. I will definitely be back.

We went to Schmitt Music for my husband to get information on strings for his electric guitar and other information about getting it checked out. Schmitt is much more reasonable on everything needed than the other store we went to. We will be going back tomorrow with his guitar, to be checked out by someone who really knows what to do and is willing to help with any questions.

Great people and good service. If something goes wrong with an instrument they know just what to do and if youre looking to buy an instrument they know what is just right for you. Theyve got all the tools and gadgets youll ever need to enjoy music. I definitely recommend this place!

I called to get an estimate on cleaning an instrument. That staff member who helped was extremely kind, thoughtful, and answered my questions. After I turned in the instrument for cleaning, I got a call back from a very rude, unprofessional woman, who gave me an undue amount of attitude and verbal abuse, then tried to give me a completely different quote, five times more than the staff member had given me. When I explained what the former estimate was, she said Oh, so you dont want it to /play/.Clearly theres some kind of disconnect happening at the store. The initial staff members were very nice, but the experience with that woman had us taking the instrument back without service. Even if it needed extra work, verbally beating someone up is not how to explain it. And jumping from $15 for recorking all joints to $45. just because its there doesnt mean its good with attitude, is not good service.If anyone knows where I can get instrument cleaning done, let me know.

Ive always had a great experience at Schmitt Music. The employees have always been more than helpful and willing to go above and beyond. Whenever I get my guitar restrung, they are always happy to clean the guitar as well. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and are always willing to do the best they can on topics they dont know about. I always receive a welcoming coming into the store and they are happy to let customers try out products. Overall, Schmitt Music has wonderful employees and great service and products. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

This is definitely a small shop primarily meant for your young school musician. This was reflected by the popular sheet music that was available for all band and string instruments. It was pretty slim pickings for instrument accessories - I would have loved to have seen more options. They have just the very basics for instrument accessories. Browsing through the rest of the store, it looks like you can buy beginner and intermediate instruments for your student. They also seemed to have a variety of baby grand pianos to purchase as well (although I didnt look too closely at these). It appears there is an instrument repair shop in store as well. If youre in need of something basic and dont care about a specific brand, this could be the place for you. Overall, this store is limited in selection but good for your young school musician.

Chris was so helpful to my wife and I. We went in there knowing little and Chris was patient and a genuine caring lad. Recently purchased a trumpet, rented a baritone, and got info about electronic keyboards/pianos. Employees all helpful and friendly. Willing to work with me on a tryout and having music teacher give opinion before purchase of trumpet. Good price for a new trumpet of that model.

Ive always had great experiences at Schmitt. They are the best place in town for pianos - digital or acoustic. They have agreat selection of entry- and mid-level guitars and basses. Often you can find great deals on gear, songbooks, etc. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

I like the set up 100% thats why you get two stars.But your music shop needs more guitars fer sure! Id say it could use like 40-60 more guitars! There needs to be more variety and brand variety as well to pick from!!!!

The staff is fantastic at assisting beginners find their musical strengths and the right instrument & equipment. They have a wide variety of guitars and keyboards and give lessons. They also rent instruments for school bands.I purchased my Vox amplifier from Schmitt after a staff members recommendation and its been a perfect fit.

They take care of my 60s bass and my 6 string BTB846SC. They are very helpful.

The only reason that I would give them 1 star is because of the cashier. The saleman could only tell us he had to leave in 5 mins and look at his watch and telling us we would have to come back another day. When I told him that didnt work for us, he again said he was going to have to leave. I understand people have a life after work, but the store should have someone for customers or close the doors. What I assume was the manager came out of the office while he was doing an interview to help answer a question we had on warranty. After finding it he said so are you buying it or what. I told him yes, he went back into his office, no sorry it is a crazy time of day, thank you or anything. The cashier took care of packaging it up for us, getting everything we wanted and he made us feel like he was there to help the customer. Up to that point my grandson said I sure feel uncomfortable in here. I told him I did too. When you spend $750 in a business you would think that you would feel good about it. A HORRIBLE experience and I will for sure be looking else where for our music needs.

My daughter is going into 6th grade and just starting out with her band experience. Schmitt Music answered all our questions and helped us feel comfortable and ready for her new adventure.
