Its always a great experience visiting the shop. Seeing how the hobby has exploded post pandemic has made collecting a little aggravating at times but places like this make it much better. I live a couple hours away and dont mind the travel time to visit this shop. Excellent staff and very friendly and knowledgeable.

I went in to Grand Slam a few weeks ago for Trade Night and had a blast. I had fun meeting some awesome people and talking with them. I could stay in the store for hours. Josh was very nice and had some cool stuff planned such as breaks and raffles. Was fortunate to win a Tatis Signed Jersey. I will definitely be returning when I make the trip back to Rock Hill. Thanks Grand Slam for being an awesome business. I will recommend to all my friends and family.

By far one of the best card shops I’ve ever been to they have some of the best prices for Pokémon cards including XY cards in stock all the time you can pick up in-store or go through each box individually at a specific table without being bothered or trying to be sold anything. great for kids as well as sports collectors they have a lot of nice single sports cards at super reasonable prices as well as a big inventory of sports wax to choose from.

Good deals to be found on vintage as long as youre willing to negotiate. Tons of new unopened product hobby and retail fairly priced. They have to make a profit, but theyre not gouging imo! A+ Wouldve spent more time and surely money if wife and kids werent waiting to get to Carowinds lol.

Josh and his team have helped me from day one get into, stay interested, and grow into the sport card collecting hobby. They always find the time to teach me about a new product or talk about a favorite team or player. Easily one of the best local card shops in the Carolinas.

Hands down the best card shop in the Charlotte metro area. Great group of guys working there and a loyal customer base.

Took some Pokemon cards in and they basically said he wasnt interested before he even looked at them. When he finally started looking through them he said I had some good cards but they werent in good shape. These cards are mint, better than ones he showed me. Also had some baseball, basketball and football cards. Shaq rookie card, also Emmitt Smith, Karl Malone, Ervin Johnson rookies and draft picks. Never wanted to see them. They were interested in one thing, bragging about their own Pokemon collection and looking for very specific cards to complete it.

We absolutely love grand slam and have been going for years! My kids think it is so much fun to shop around in there and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable!

Took me three years to find the best sports card store in the Carolinas but after going to all of them I can truthfully say that Josh is the most humble and best card dealer any collector could ever encounter. Not only are their prices to good to be true but Josh is genuine and sincerely always out for the customers best interest and is not a shark. The worker was nice and helpful. They seemed to have a decent selection of Pokemon cards. But, there were a lot of younger people in the store using bad words and I was surprised that the worker did not reprimand them. We were continually hearing the f word. I dont think its a good place to take a younger child. My son is six years old.

Played Saturday night Commander there. The group was cordial, easy going, and casual. Easily the most comfortable I have felt playing Magic at a store in Rock Hill. (Not that the others are bad, just much more competitive than I aim for.)Owner was awesome, and the players were too. Definitely reccomend!

An amazing places to get all your trading card needs. They carry many sets and a wide selection. They also have D&D books and figures! Tables and tournaments as well. The best spot in rock hill for your gaming needs!

Dennis is a great, honest, and respectful man. I really enjoy dealing with him and his huge dog. (For Halloween he really should get a Sir Didymus from the movie Labyrinth to ride on the back of his dog!)I order my comics from him, and if they are damaged from shipping, he orders replacements, no questions asked. I highly recommend using them for your local comic book needs.

My 11 year old daughter and I pick out her Pokemon cards in the store. We have never had anyone be rude to us. My daughter doesnt go poking through anything she shouldnt though, which might be why we have never had a problem. We were checked out by the owner once, who was never anything but friendly with us, and by one of his other employees, who also was very helpful. Its nice to be able to sit down and not be bugged to death about stuff we are not interested in. Id say having manners, and your children having manners in the store goes a long way.

Unique locally owned business thats been in Rock Hill 30 years! Previous owner fought stage four cancer for four years. He worked up until the last four months of his life. Sorry if he seemed rude. He was very sick. We love children and have enjoyed growing into having a Pokemon league. Have great selection of sports and gaming cards, as well as many, many comics. Please come check us out.

A nice little shop with plenty of seating and walking room and lots to look at. They have vintage toys, games, comics, and of course trading cards. It is clean for the most part, not dusty or cluttered. Not a fancy place but it is warm and welcoming. I think that the price is really reasonable for the comics and games. Ive bought 2 games here and so far they have all worked just fine. :) Ive also picked up a few Indie Comics and for the price it was worth it.

A clean and tidy place to look for cards. Plenty of space for all dueling fans. They even have a huge collection of basketball, baseball, and football for collectors. Kind amd helpful staff who have a lot of knowledge on the cards they offer and will answer all questions. Just today I saw one of them helping 3 kids with their Pokemon decks. Great place to meet new people and is also a great place to find cards from Magic to Pokémon. The Pokémon tournaments are a lot of fun. Also in the free time friendly people there can help you learn your card game. Employees are also very kind and are always ready to help when you need it.

Grand Slam is the best card store in Rock Hill, hands down. All of the workers there are very knowledgeable, and price everything fairly. I absolutely love going to this place when Im in town! Not to forget they have been in business for almost 30 years for a reason.

Sat here for 15 minutes and I was looking to buy some stuff. Didnt say hi or give me a minute and I will be with you. As I was walking out he then realized he lost customer. Key to success in any business is knowledge customer. I can see why he been getting bad reviews. If you dont want to help customers out or work, dont go into customer service driven business. Also very collection of sport cards!

I was visiting family in the area and came across this store. Very friendly and welcoming... forward enough to sell but not too pushy. I went in to find some MMA/UFC cards but they stopped carrying them a while back due to lack of demand. They had all the new MLB and NFL cards that just released. Ill check back when Im in the area again.

Prices are suuuuuper high. A product at Collectibles corner was $100, here it was $125. They will bold face lie to you that they have the best prices in town.

For the only comic book/collectible store in Rock Hill its actually pretty decent. Nice size, decent layout. That might not sound like much, but when compared to a place like Rebel Base in Charlotte, which has a superb selection, but has an almost cluttered feeling. It really does make difference to be able to walk around easily, or even sit and look through comics or cards. The people in the store have been friendly with me. But I dont go to a comic book store for customer service. I look for the selection and for negotiable prices. Which this place has, mainly with the latter. More than once Ive gotten reduced prices on comics and magic cards. The real reason I wanted to post this is because I saw someone complaining about not being able to use their e-cig/vape in the store. This should be a no brainer. A great enemy of comic books, and most collectibles like baseball or magic cards, especially in the South, is humidity.

Do not pay attention to the negative reviews on here. Especially the most recent one. I have been a customer of Grand Slam for over 10 years and like it better with the newest owner.Most of the negative reviews on here are from people that did not get there way for items they were wanting. Most recent example is individual tried to buy a box single cards that are marked $1 each (most of the cards in this box book $3 to $5) - there were aprox 300+ cards in the box and the guy offered him $35 - that is .10 cents per card - these are not common players! I sell common players at local sports card shows for .10 each. In short he was trying to rip off the store.Then the others recent issue of a comic book he bought for $20 and marked $200. Rick marks all items at book value or double ebay and then discounts from their. Anyone that goes into Grand Slam would know as he plainly has signs out 1/2 off. I asked how much he wanted for the comic in question and he said $35 to $40 due to condition.For the others that are complaining about paying ebay prices they are wanting to buyer cheaper so they can sell on ebay. Rick is the only local card shop in the Charlotte, NC area that I know that sells at ebay value. All the others (4) want full book or close to it for their singles.
