Wasted my time with a long interview process probably lasted about week to 1 1/2 then call me 2 days after my in person interview to tell me they hired someone more fit for the position? Huge banner out front saying theyre hiring entry level but arent really
I have been a customer for a number of years, and even though their customer service is beyond excellent, be aware that with the ne laws requiring them to collect State and County ales taxes, and their required shipping/handling and insurance, the price of an item you win at auction, can easily increase by as much as 44%. My current $425 purchase is costing me $612, before it gets to my FFL. Just a heads up that what you think is a GOOD DEAL --- may not wind up as such. This was my last invoice.
Absolutely the NICEST people to deal with!! And if you want to see how an item should be packaged for shipment, buy something here! Even our rural UPS and FedEx drivers are unable to damage anything shipped by Rock Island Auction. Took me longer to unpack (which is GOOD) than it did to get here!
Bid on what I believe will be an excellent Class III addition to my colleciton. Excellent pictures along with providing critical additional information through answers to my questions about the gun make bidding with confidence exciting.
Not professionalSent them almost 300 pictures of 50 quality guns to be appraised. They only appraised a few of them. I emailed back that I only got a partial generic list back and was told well that’s what we have?I had called them prior to the appraisal and explained I had to send the pics in multiple groups since there were so many. They assured me that they had them allJust got a call from them asking what my plans are. I explained that I was disappointed in their actions up to this point and was told 50 guns isn’t worth there time to look at??? And that I should feel lucky to have received any appraisalsGood luck others that use their serviceI was really looking forward to using it also up until now
From my experience with the people at Rock Island Auction Co., I have to say that they are a top notch organization, and that this is one of the the best places in the country to sell guns. They sold what remained of my late husband’s collection, and I can’t imagine having gotten a better deal.I corresponded mainly with Keegan Quinby. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He made the whole process very easy for me.My brother-in-law, who delivered the guns, told me that it was a very easy and pleasant experience. I hope that someday I have an opportunity to visit Rock Island Auction Co. because it sounds like an amazing place.I’m grateful to Keegan and everyone else who made this experience so positive, and I highly recommend Rock Island Auction Company.
I can not rate RIAC high enough. All of the lots Ive won have been above expected quality. They dont mess around with their reviews, you know exactly what you are going to get. Their staff is also very courteous and professional. Looking forward to this September auction, there are some fantastic looking lots.
A great way to see many different types of firearms but the buyers premium coupled with EXTREMELY high shipping makes it not worthwhile to buy from them. If you see something from them that you like do yourself a favor and look elsewhere to buy unless you want to overpay like crazy.
My experience with selling an antique pistol, with Rock island Auctioners. was simply amazing. Extremely helpful, definitely concerned with the consigned item, and constantly in communication with me. Even more impressive was this was going on during COVID-19. The end result is the item sold for more than expected, I am very pleased and would recommend them to anyone.
This is my second consignment with RIAC. The experience has been wonderful on both occassions. Any time I had questions and I contacted RICA via phone or email, the response was expedient, curteous, and informative. Since my introduction to the company last year and the positive interaction on the first consignment, I have shared with many others RICAs story. Great people, great company.
If we could give a 0, we would have. Heres how it starts. We have been in the auction business for over 30years. We attend 100s of auctions a year, both in person and online. This ranks as the worst. Besides having a large retail store, we are quite knowledgeable on auctions and how they work. We spotted two cannons to be sold Feb 3, 2021. A week prior, we called to ask a few questions regarding these items. We were told an emailed response would be given in a few days. We received an answer, but had an additional question which we never received an answer to. We entered a max bid via Proxibid, their choice of platform. The day of the auction, upon checking on our bid, we saw the two cannons sold for the bid we had entered. Upon calling to pay we were informed infact the cannons were sold for the same high bid as ours to an INHOUSE client. When the shock wore off and we questioned this we were told, perhaps it was a tie or you were on the wrong foot. WHAT??? Long story short, after 6 different calls with different customer service people we were reluctantly passed along to JUDY VOSS, Vice President of Rock Island Auctions. We have better customer service from our cable company. She not only did not have interest, but lacked complete and utter empathy and understanding to what clearly was their mistake. She was provided proof of our high bid with Proxibid but placed the entire blame with Proxibid stating our high bid never appeared. ???? There is only one way in our experience this could happen, pure sloppiness and a fast hammer by the inhouse auctioneer to make an inhouse client happy. We contacted Proxibid, only to be referred back to Rock Island Auction House. BUYERS/SELLERS BEWARE!Reply to response: Interesting that we get a response to a review, but not a response to our last email. Thats fine. From this response we gather your excuse is your auctions are too overwhelming for the action you get. Thats fine for you. In reading your last paragraph it appears you might look at increasing your auction spotters and/or have the auctioneer take control of slowing speed when necessary to avoid dropping the ball on what was a legitimate bid through Proxibid. BTW...tie bids are an anomaly and easily solvable. Finally, Judys excuse was a totally different one than your reply. You may want to look inward. This is your issue, not ours. We stand by our post, which is what really happened. We will not do business with you again. Integrity is important to us, not this auction house in our opinion.
Sadly, I will most likely never do business with rock island auction company again, because the rating definition complete BS and I spent almost 700$ on something that needs repairs but the rating definition said that it didnt.Note to RIAC: please rate the condition of your items fairly and then I may bid again.
They helped me to get my money back on some modern guns even after their commission. They helped me sell two more collectable guns for a good profit even after their commissions. I would use them again for sales of several guns at once.
Excellent service through a very long and complicated process!Rock Island has very friendly and knowledgeable staff that supports you through the entire process. Paperwork magically gets simplified, the pickup team is just amazing (a fountain of knowledge, and truly appreciated the history that they were packing up), followed by a meticulous in-processing team. When you see the catalogs, they are beautiful, a result of a lot of hard work by the media and photography teams. I missed this auction, but the followup has been just as consistent as everything else. The only things they cant speed up is the time it takes to do an excellent job or anything associated with the tax stamp process.Kudos to the whole team,Thank you !!
Very professionnel, a company you can trust and know what they are doing.
RIA will rip you a new one on buyers premium and shipping and handling. For example you pay $1000 for 1 gun and by the time you get it to your door you will have $1250 invested in it. Bid with caution.Follow up and owner respondedRIA should be proud to be one of the lowest auction houses, you need to stop comparing yourself with others and be your own, GunBroker.com charges 3% sellers fees and thats it! Also the last gun I purchased from RIA, I bid $1000 sealed bid and by the time I got it to my door I have $1275 in it, you all are ripping people. Beside you also charge a seller fee!
Unbelievable numerous promotions of items offered for sale. In my case. I know of no one who could even begin to compare with RIA services! Thank you kindly for all you did and the very pleasing results.
Fabulous process from the first phone call to end of the Auction. Very professional and responsive to all questions. Highly recommend!
Very pleased with my experience here as a consigner! The communication was great, and I was happy with the sale price. Would recommend!
My experience with Rock Island Auction Company has been excellent! This organization is professional from top to bottom. I have consigned twice with Rock Island, and the results have been fantastic! The service is superb from start to finish. I have highly recommended Rock Island to all my fellow collectors that are considering this service. Jessica Tanghe, and her team work tirelessly for Rock Island clients. Thanks to all.
I couldnt be more pleased. My item was only worth $2,500 compared the the millions and millions of worth of items they work with and from start to finish everything was straight forward without a lot of nonsense.
I recently consigned seven guns to Rock Island, five of which sold and two that did not. I was very disappointed to find that two of my guns that sold were sold below the reserves I had in place, one by $3000. Mr Hogan explained to me that this practice is not uncommon in the auction business so the auction house can make money to cover the cost of cataloging and advertising. Since RI compensated me for the full reserves I had set, I had a hard time understanding how the auction house could make money until I worked a small math problem. After the buyers premium is collected (15%) and the sellers premium (16%) is deducted there is definitely money to be made. For example, a reserve of $10000 minus 16%, or $8400, and a hammer price of $8000 plus 15%, or $9200, yields a profit to the auction house of $800. For consignors just be aware of this practice and dont have a heart attack when you see your gun sell for well below your reserve. For just this experience Id give RI three stars, but it is for the next issue I give them one star and an overall average of two. One of the guns I consigned had two minor defects that a buyer would certainly want to know about, and I disclosed both of these defects to the RI representatives. When the catalog was printed neither of these defects were mentioned in the description. Thankfully this was one of the lots that did not sell and the gun was returned to me. I would not purchase any gun from this auction house unless I could evaluate it in person.
So I gave this company a gun for auction. They kept it for six months telling me it would go up for auction. They sent a contract and called saying it was such a great piece it would go in thier BIG auction so I waited. I get there catalog and NO gun. I call and get told I will have to wait for a answer as to why it is not in auction. Why was I told nothing? Why no call saying they wanted to return the gun? They just held it....
Outstanding auction company! Emails are promptly answered. Customer service is top notch, always courteous and friendly. I searched for close to 15 years for a particular firearm. Not only did Rock Island Auction Company have the exact model and in the condition I wanted but it came with the original factory box! Items are shipped promptly and are consistently well packed. If you are having a hard time finding a particular item, I recommend checking with the Rock Island Auction Company. You wont regret it.
Unfortunately, Ive never been physically in this store before. But when I will be in the Usa once in my life, it will be one of the first and most important addresses I will visit. The offer is incredibly broad and interesting! so I imagine the land of milk and honey for men!
You cannot find firearms of this rarity anywhere else. Even for us collectors who spend less than a couple grand you can find some great guns.
The folks at RIAC made my first time gun auction experience easy and reduced my stress drastically. Very professional, friendly customer service, and items shipped are done so lovingly and with great care. Would absolutely purchase through again. Cannot stress how good of an experience I had with them.
Amazing service. I was lost as to where to sell my antique shotguns, and Rock Island Auctions was perfect. They were able to get a more than fair amount!
As a new user of RIAC, I was a bit concerned about bidding on something sight-unseen, because Im not intending to visit in person for the auction. So, I thought, well Ill ask them to run a bore scope in the rifle Im interested in and let me know results. They didnt have a scope, but they DID VERY WILLINGLY give me a more extensive description of the bore than the Lot description! What service! So I encourage people to use the Ask a Question facility. Easy and very informative. Very helpful staff.
Great people work at RIAC. I love watching their videos and reading the blogs posted on their website. The company really cares about history and tries their best educate people about the provenance of rare firearms and old, historically important memorabilia. Keep up the awesome work!
I was amazed at the number of collector firearms they had in that preview hall. The facility is very nice, the people are too. When you purchase something at auction there is a 15% buyers premium added on. Which through me at first until I realized that all of the gun auction houses have the same or higher. So just factor that in to your purchase price. Cool place
Amazing company! I have consigned items on two separate occasions, and both times the staff walked me through the simple process. All I had to do was send a few pictures, and after receiving my estimated Lot value, I shipped my items to RIAC and they handled the rest!
When my husband learned he was dying, he instructed me to contact Rock Island Auction to dispose of the guns that my children did not choose to keep. Once I made the call to Rock Island, - and I choose to have them pick up rather than try to pack and ship myself, It did not take too long for them to come and collect the firearms. The two men who did the work were pleasant and polite and we had a good time organizing and talking. What could have been a tough day for me really turned out to be a good one.I feel good that the guns Mike so loved will be cherished and taken care of by people who know and respect firearms. I am grateful that Mike made this decision before he did, so I would not worry about theft or under evaluating his guns.Thank you, Rock Island,Alice Fonda Henson Workman
Ive enjoyed building my collection with the wonderful people at Rock Island Auction since their first auction, many years ago.Their team is outstanding, and have made our search for prototypes and historically important pieces even more pleasurable.World Class People. . . World Class Catalogues. . . World Class Facility. . . World Class Offerings !What can I say ? If youre a gun guy, and youre not regularly visiting and viewing the incredible collections offered at Rock Island Auction, you are cheating yourself out of great times with great people !Mark and MaryAnn Rayfield
I want to thank everyone at Rock Island for the great customer service. Every detail of the sale was handled with the upmost courtesy and professionalism with updates all along the process. Choosing Rock Island was the best decision.
I enjoyed coming to the auction on Friday, I was able to watch the auction sales live over the weekend as they broadcast it to their website page. Makes it easy to bid and then watch the sales when the item comes up. Its fun, I would like to be able to bid live as the items sell. Can you add that?
Fantastic service. E-mails answered same day. Best auction house in the US for guns without a doubt.
These guys are amazing! I have purchased a number of lots from many of their wonderful auctions, and the only thing I can say is pure professionalism! I would love to get a chance to work with these guys! Any internships for a college student with a business management background?
I have had such a wonderful experience with the folks at Rock Island. They have kept me, as a consignor, informed in all aspects of the auction process and have exceeded my expectation for sales. So glad to have had the opportunity to work with them.
By far the best firearms auction site in the world. They put out a superb catalog with great photos and accurate postings. I always get top prices when dealing with Rock Island.
While I do not understand how my items did not receive NIB ratings by the appraiser since they were purchased by me NIB and I never took them out except to look at them when I first bought them, the rest of the process was acceptable to me. It was a slow process but RIA puts a lot of work into the auction. The payout time frame, post auction, is longer than expected too (over a month).
I have used absentee bidding, phone bids, and went to an auction onsite. Rock Island Auction has always been a first class operation with all of their employees being customer oriented and most helpful. Their fees are the same or less than other major auction houses. You just have factor them in when you are bidding. Items I have had shipped were always packed extremely well. I will be attending more auctions on site as it was a great experience.
Very professional staff, from pick-up through auction, they did an excellent job. RIAC specializes in handling large collections, and firearms of any type. We considered a number of auction companies and determined that RIAC was the best choice for our collection of several hundred firearms. The dont just sell firearms, they preserve history along with some of the rarest and unique firearms ever produced.
As a mostly private antique firearm collector, I made my first auction purchase at Rock Island Auction Company. I was very excited about the wonderful peice I won, and couldn’t wait to receive it. Unfortunately UPS dropped the ball and had some serious issues with the delivery service.Once Kevin ( president of the company) got involved, I was beyond impressed at the process they had in place to insure that not only the purchase arrived safe and sound, but their commit to quality and customer service went above and beyond the fray! I wasn’t 100%. Convinced about buying at an online auction, but as a consistent consumer in the antiques firearms world I can say without a shred of doubt that Kevin and Rock Island is the place to go. They are filled with the kind of people that you want to be in business with.
I would give 0 stars if I could.A friend of mine went to buy and sell guns for the first time and it was a total disappointment.Everyone there treats you like they are doing you a favor talking to you.He called to ask a question but of course the person that he needed to talk to didnt answer her phone and never bothered to call back.DONT TAKE GUNS TO THEM!! THEY ARE VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL
The staff of Rock Island are all professional from the individuals that inventoried and packed the guns to the staff that prepared and conducted the auction. I feel that Rock Island is the preferred auction dealer in the United States.
Attended the last day of the 2018 3 day Annual Premier Spring Auction. Sold an inherited rare colt pistol. We had never been to a Collector Firearms Auction. We were very impressed with the professionalismshown by their employees and the manner in which they auctioned thevery large number of firearms. Their pre-sale advertising was impressive, their pre-sale catalogues are outstanding. Just a great memorable experience.
It has been a great experience, buying & selling at RIA. Almost infinite range of shooters to very rare collector pieces. Very accommodatingtrustworthy people
Very professional. Kept me informed, and they earned my confidence. I highly recommend them.
I recently won an expensive, hard to find item from them which has more than one serious issue. The issues are obvious enough that theres no excuse for not noticing them. The compensation they offered wouldnt be enough to fix the problems in the best case (>8% of what I paid/ 30% of their cut). They did let me return it for a full refund so I wouldnt loose any money, but it was still a major disappointment and waste of time. I dont plan on buying anything else from them.
They have a lot of great items and I have purchased a few things from them. The other day when I called and paid my invoice I was asked if I wanted to make a donation to the NRA. I am sorry, but a few things.1. Dont the buyers spend enough money on all the fees and shipping.2. How about money for hurricane relief instead of the money hungry lobbyists like the NRA.3. My new items I purchased are wonderful.4. You aret offending me so dont even go there. There are a lot of things you could do matching donations for other than the NRA.
RIA trys to do best they can with the overwhelming amount of items that come into their property. And giving them as much information on the item can be helpful to them to get the best bang for your buck. The more documented a item is the better off you are.
I have attended 2 auctions first time was a good experience I won several lots the second time I won several lots they all posted to my won page on there Web site that was Thursday I was very excited so each day I looked over the guns come Monday morning one of the lots was missing I contacted RIA several times and they did admit something happened they said the floor actually won yet it showed I won at the time of the live auction and four days after. The lot sold for under the low estimate and I was ready to bid higher. So after believing I won for 4 days I just got a confusing excuse as to what the error was .I just wonder if after 4 days if I said I never hit the bid button and did not want to pay for it how that would have gone for me.There are 2 major rules you dont break at a auction #1 if you bid and win you pay! #2 if you put a item up for auction and you dont get what you think you should you still let it go .disappointed
Unbelievable incompetence. As a first-time client, I called RIAC well in advance (2 months?) to register for a specific auction lot. I was told I would receive a phone call the day of the auction. After the service representative took down what I thought was the necessary information, I called again that same day to clarify the bidding process. I was told I would receive a phone call the day of the auction. Fast forward to auction day, I called AGAIN as I watched the live auction. My lot was getting close to bidding time, so I called roughly an hour beforehand to absolutely understand that I would receive a phone call to begin the bidding (As a first-time client, you can see Im making every attempt to get this right). NO PHONE CALL, ITEM SOLD. I immediately called RIAC again to voice my utter disbelief this company could be so inefficient. I was told that not only was I supposed to leave a payment option on file, I needed to place a bid when I initially registered. Thats wonderful news, except no one bothered to tell me ANY of this during the 3 times I triple-checked to ensure preparations were complete. They had my basic information AND a record of the lot# I was interested in. Apparently I just called them 3 times for fun and they took down my info with no real purpose in mind. Im now expecting a call from the Vice President of RIAC. This review stays up pending the outcome of this complete waste of my time.
RIA has been the consummate professional in the process of consigning my firearms. They are well organized and efficient and continually communicate very well with their clients. I would feel comfortable having the RIA handle any of my firearm related transactions.
The experience with RIAC was simple and stress free. They took care of everything from start to finish.Excellent performance, excellent results.
Fantastic!
Very easy to deal with Rock Island Auction company they answer all my questions
I dropped an opening bid at the level that was required by RIAC on the Proxibid platform and basically waited and watched the lot of two very nice Winchester Model 70 Rifles that the description states have 3x9x40 Nikon scopes.I kept a close eye on this lot as I personally wanted one of the rifles and had a client looking for the larger caliber rifle and for some reason no other bidders challenged or ran the bid up. So, both rifles were won for $1000 and I had one of them sold for $900.The auction ended on June 23 and thats when things started to go wrong. I recieved a email immediately about the win and called RIAC to make payment, provide my FFL dealer and ship to information and the phone number on the email went directly to voice mail and the voice mail box was full. This went on for days and I finally emailed them on June 26th with my cell phone number and other information. Its now July 9th and both myself and the shop have called them dozens of times and the phone is overloaded. I did finally hear from someone, the FFL license was immediately sent and they still havent shipped my rifles. I went back to calling the same number they provided and it again just goes to vmail. The morning of July 9th I sent another email from the same string of emails that was started from the win notice with my cell phone number and my disatisfaction. That went ignored and I finally sent a complaint to Proxibid and they were able to connect with them. Late today (July 9th) I spoke with a clueless customer service person who just said they have hundreds of customers that havent recieved there firearms yet. I stated I wasnt calling about the other hundreds of unserved customers, just me and she wasnt interest or able to even find the emails or the FFL info.I asked to speak with her supervisor (Cassandra) and that ended up being a nasty women whos primary focus was clearly anti-client care who accused me of being unable to read the email, the phone number and then stated that the FFL didnt come through the first time and they (RIAC) only recieved it something like 4 days ago.My reply was thats impossible as that would place it over the July 4th Holiday and that the individual who handles it was on vacation. So, simply a lie.I insisted to have my property ship immediately and to paraphrase it her reply was its not going to happen. I asked for her manager and she just stated it was a VP in a threatening way and I stated, thats not a name. She then gave me the name Judy Voss, but she was out this week....go figure.I said I really dont care if someone even needed to get into a car and drive my property to me, I want my goods by this Saturday and she also said their are hundred of unserved customers ahead of me and again its not going to happen. I stated that I would file another complaint with Proxibid and BBB and her illustrious response was so what, go ahead and you better read the T&Cs.Awful experience with Cassandra!!!!So, Cassandra and RIAC, Ive sent Proxibid another complaint, Im posting this and will be sending a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in Illinois on July 10th.
Such a professional company! Very pleased with the results of the firearms the company sold for us.
BEST FIREARMS AUCTION HOUSE EVER.I ALWAYS GET MORE MONEY THEN I EXPECTED .STAFF IS GREAT TO. THANKS RIA. FOLLO GUNS LLC.
I was informed at each step as to the national advertising that was done on my behalf. My item sold for the amount that was anticipated by both myself and RIAC and I received prompt notification of that amount. RIAC handled everything from my initial contact to my final payment in a completely professional manner. I was completely satisfied
Recently consigned an item. Overall the experience was good with exception to the service i received after an item did not sell. Very unprofessional. Everything up until that point was great. Which makes me believe they really are just after a total volume of consignements and arent concerned if your items dont sell. Also they tell you your item is worth WAY more than it is just to get your consignment. They are a solid auction house just be aware of these facts. Most likely wont do business with again.
Absolutely the best packing and shipping in the collectible arms auction business.
A1 service! RIA took care of me from beginning to end keeping me up to date throughout the entire process. I highly recommend RIA if you want a safe and secure way to sell your firearms.
Always happy with RIA! Exposure is #1 Thank You
Website is well-designed, easy to use, and makes ordering a breeze. I did have an additional question about my order, customer service was polite and prompt.
Everyone has been most helpful from pick up of Bobs collection, cataloging, and completion of sales. Any questions were quickly answered.
Very knowledgeable, helped I. D. Guns I wasnt sure of and Im pretty damn good!we South side Chicago guys stick together!
Dont do business with these guys, they charge 15% buyer premium, then they charge you 2.5% if you use a CC. The seller gets hit with a 20% selling charge... then they hit you with a shipping material Cost/ Shipping in the end these A-holes are making 40% on every dollar you spend. I asked for a break on the 2.5% credit card fee on 20K and was told Nope. they need to make a profit... really 40% isnt enough... stay away. Bunch of crooks.
Look no further my friends...you have found the right place with Rock Island! Absolutely the best at what they do!
These are good people. I have bought and sold thru them.
This is the most well run auction house for firearms in the world. Professional people and they sold my guns and did very well for me.Thank you RIAC!!
Very much satisfied. RIA came near to where I live to pick up my item. I did not trust UPS, FEDEX, or USPS. Meeting and speaking to Dick Hogan was a plus. Item sold for more that high estimate. Thanks Dick, Keena and RIA.
Phenomenal! RIAC did everything right. My initial contact at RI kept regular communication with me. RIAC personnel delighted me by picking up my guns, as I was concerned about shipping. The organization kept me informed, provided advertising information and brochures. One small hiccup -- a typo in the description of my guns, but corrections madewithin days. The final result exceeded RIAC and my expectations, and I received an email and snail mail shortly after completion of the auction. Thanks to all the folks at RIAC. Nice job!
Really impressed with how knowledgeable they are. I know we made the right choice to have them sell for us.
I have consigned firearms twice to the RIAC for auction in their Premiere auctions. Most recently, in their September Premiere auction. In both events I found the personnel that I worked with to be extremely knowledgeable, and a real pleasure to work with.Prior to shipping my firearms, I was provided an estimate price range that each firearm would be expected to bring. I found their estimates generally exceeded my expectation. Upon shipping my firearims, I was provided a confirmation email the same day my firearms were received by RIAC. This was a huge relief, knowing that my firearms had arrived safely.Prior to each auction, I received complimentary copies of the auction catalogs, showing all Lots scheduled for that auction. The catalogs are a work of art in themselves. Some of the finest I have ever reviewed!Upon the completions of each auction, I was quickly informed of the closing, final bid on each of my items, by Lot number.Over the past 40 years, I have utilized several premium auction houses, and was very happy with them. However, I have never employed an auction company with such professional, knowledgeable, pleasant personnel, and of the highest ethical standards.I will continue to utilize RIAC, and I would recommend them highly, and with confidence, to my friends and colleagues. If you are concerned about entrusting your treasured firearms to just any auction facility, you can rest easy with RIAC! Awesome company, because of their awesome personnel!!Regards,Dallas C. Finch
#1 firearms auction house. You wont be disappointed.
They are very good at what they do. I have had many great experiences consigning my guns with them!
Once you realize that bidders determine price, it is easy to see how professional this operation is. RIA exceeded my expectations.
Completely professional, kept me informed every step of the way.
Very pleased with how my consignment was handled.
This is the absolute best auction house I have ever been to. Honest people and professionally ran with the utmost attention to every detail.
RIAC does an outstanding job for their clients and customers
Bought a gun through theyre auction service, could not believe how well I was treated by the staff, great transaction!
The best auction house to do business with, whether it be buying or selling.
Excellent!
Worst bought two trapdoors one was not a firearm but a movie prop i guess and the other was a chrome drill rifle .will never buy agian.
Very professional and honest
Associated with leftist producers of forgotten weapons.
Very nice place
Overwhelmingly professional !!
Fantastic.
Fun to visit
THEY ARE LIARS THIEVES AND A TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH THEY QUOTE YOU ONE THING AND CHARGE YOU ANOTHER I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF DISPUTING THE CHARGES WITH MY BANK
Great service
This will be a two languages review.Rock Island Auction Company easily deserves its 5 stars! Why? For the exceptional quality of auctioned products. For the easiness of bidding live online 4,200 miles away and a 7 hours time difference. For the great communication with staff members after the auction especially when theyre shipping international (Paris, France in my case). Willing to start, grow or expand your colection of fine, unique or antique firearms or edged weapons? Rock Island Auction is the answer. (Always make sure you are aware and in compliance with your local / country laws and regulations prior to bid for such items).Rock Island Auction easily deserves its 5 stars. Why ? For the exceptional quality of the items offered for sale. For the ease of bidding live online even at over 6500 kms and 7 hours of time difference. And then there is above all a great team after the sale. Always available to answer your questions, especially when it comes to shipping internationally (to Paris in my case). If you want to start or complete your collection of fine, unique, or vintage weapons, I sincerely recommend Rock Island Auction Company. (French friends, Attention! Be particularly and really well informed. Always be in good standing with French law and regulations before bidding online on the items offered for auction. For my part, the simple importation of 2 old knives gave there are a few administrative surprises and additional taxes.Keep clearly in mind that not everything can be imported, be a little bit serious and dont imagine for a single moment that you can bid on category A weapons ... thats right common sense.). The 2 knives have finally arrived and Im impatiently awaiting the next sales.
