Its in a strip mall store front, but they did alot to add cowboy charm and feels to the place. The service was super helpful and friendly. When asked my server recommended the watermelon glazed donut. Definitely wouldnt have ordered that one on my own, but totally was happy I listened. It wasnt too sweet, just the perfect blend with and understated watermelon aftertaste. The rest were great as well. We had a mixed half dozen and were happy with every last one of them. Make the time to stop by if you are road tripping through, you wont regret it.

WARNING! Dena at Cowboy Donuts Is a brilliant saleswoman, and the products therein are beyond compare! Very dangerous for maintaining waistlines! Honestly, who would want a ‘watermelon donut’?! Well, she convinced me to purchase one on top of my already-too-many-calories order! It was DECADENT! Honestly, surprisingly, the absolute best capture of watermelon flavoring, outside of the melon itself that I’ve ever tasted - sweet, tangy, donut like air melting goodness in my mouth. There is a reason this shop has been featured on The Food Network, this baking is divine.

Driving thru town, got our sugar fix at this little donut shop. The apple fritters were delicious. Got a few others to go. The staff was fine just not as friendly as I thought they could have been. Especially cause most reviewers said friendly staffWe made ourselves known as just passing thru and were excited because of the food network and they didnt try to converse. No suggestions were given...One lady even counted our box with her bare hands even tho there was a donut tissue in her hand she could have used. We even purchased a souvenir. All in all the donuts were delicious, just need to work on their customer service. But who knows it could have been just a bad day for them.

Absolutely Awesome Doughnuts! We were traveling, and stopped in early for something to take on the GO, and we were not disappointed! They were great, I only wish I had bought a dozen when we were there.

Dang Good Donuts! We took a chance and pulled off Hwy 80 because we saw a sign for donuts this morning. Cowboy Donuts? Yes, please! It was easy to find, plenty of parking, friendly staff, comfortable seating, and then lets not forget the donuts. We were a little later in the morning so one of their donut cabinets was already empty, but that was a good sign. We picked a dozen for ourselves and some donut holes for our youngest. The Banana Nut glazed was a winner though they were all super! Treat yourself!

Awesome donuts! Stayed in Rock Springs on our way back to SW Colorado, and stopped by for a tasty donut breakfast. I must say their rating and rave reviews were spot on. And they add freshly crumbled bacon?! What more could you ask for? I great place to stop for breakfast/lunch/any time you want a good donut...

People rave about this place and I can see why. The regular glazed donuts are out of this world. Definitely compete with my home town favorite, Shipleys. Everyone loved the kolaches too. Food Network was not wrong!

Pretty good donuts! they were good, but not the greatest. the pork bun though was one of the better things weve had to eat this trip. we were frustrated that we ordered a lemon filled donut & got a raspberry one instead. still was yummy!

On a cross country move, my family and I stopped at a donut place in each town we stayed in. Cowboy donuts was the best BY FAR. The texture and taste of the actual donuts themselves is amazing. Definitely worth stopping in.

The only place to get amazing donuts in the county, poasibly the state. Worth every penny, the fritters are perfect the kolaches with meat and cheese, and jalapeno in them are my favorite. Coffee hits the spot and is always hot. Not exaggerating, this place you want to go to if you are coming through or live here! Selection will start dwindling as morning progresses, so arrive before 9 if you want all the choices. Lunch there is fantastic as well.

Always excellent, soft, doughy donuts. Fast, friendly service. It never ceases to satisfy. Their breakfast pastry wrapped sausages are an awesome, quick bite that is both a taste of home, but not greasy--it aint truck stop food. The sausages are not hard, rubbery or dry. They are moist, easy to bite and overall a go-to breakfast food for me anytime I come here.Im not a fan of their coffee--but the coffee is apropos for a donut shop, so I dont want to diminish or degrade it--just not my type of coffee. Its similar to dunkin donuts coffee.The donuts are good--no maple bars, they are all the traditional style. Thats no problem the maple frosting is perfectly proportioned to donut so its satisfying but not mind numbingly/sugar headache sweet. Their bavarian creams have the perfect amound of cream too. Highly recommend you try it out.

I’m changing my old review to say that these doughnuts are really good and priced well. I also recommend the Kolachies (sorry if I spelt that wrong) but if you’re traveling and want a quick bite to eat for breakfast I recommend them!

The donuts and the service are wonderful! They make some of the best Apple fritters and raised donuts we have tasted. The prices are reasonable and there is still a decent selection after 10 AM. Love this place!

I travel all over the country on a regular basis and I love doughnuts. I consider myself a doughnut connoisseur. I am not driving across Wyoming without stopping at Cowboy Doughnuts. These are the best Ive found. I just wish they were open 24/7 so I could get more

If I could give this place 10 Stars I would. I dont know what they put in these Donuts, but I cant live a day without them. I eat them everyday and I dont gain weight. Bonus! If you eat a cowboy donut once you will never be able to eat any other donut again. They are out of this world.

These guys have a great thing going! If you are travelling on I-80 it is definitely worth the stop. Great customer service, and great food. The Savory Kolaches were my favorite, but you really cant go wrong with anything you order because the donuts taste great too.

This is my go-to breakfast spot when Im in town. Locally-owned, known for their good donuts, kolaches, and coffee. I like the banana-iced donut. The kolaches are also good and give a bit of variety for those that cant decide if they want sweet or savory.

The donuts here are fantastic! Their Apple Fritters are the best of the bunch, nice and crispy and full of flavor. They also do not leave that pastey fatty residue in your mouth. All in all one of the best donut shops there is.

Best donuts!

This was a highly recommended place but I found it very disappointing. For a restaurant featured on the Food Network, I expected something outstanding, or at least interesting. The majority of their menu was boring and run off the mill. The doughnuts were fine, but no better than anywhere else. Met minimum standards, and I was not impressed.

We dont get to go here often, but when we do its always a treat. Ive never had anything but good experiences with the staff, and if they come off a little cranky I generally guess its because theyre tired. The product quality is top notch for everything they make. Overall, I would recommend this establishment to anyone! And so would foodnetwork.~

Amazing donuts and service! Its important to note that if you show up around 7am or later theres a good chance the place has been ransacked by many of the early shift workers in the area so if you plan on getting specific types of donuts you should get up earlier!

Great kolaches! The jalapeño popper is definitely the best. Followed closely by the jalapeño ham. I buy dozens at a time and freeze them since i live so far away.
