People used to be mean here and bad service. Then they were nice. Now they are back to hating their customers. I pay for parking to the tune of 3000 plus dollars a year with flying j. I paid parking last time I was there. I got the impression that one of the male workers thought I was being short with one of the female workers while I was checking in that night. I was not trying to be angry or rude. They are touchy and ready to find fault with drivers. While doing my vehicle inspection in the morning, I found that my air lines had been cut While I was sleeping. Coincidence? Someone definitely did cut the lines. Who?.... I was just considering stopping there tonight and realized I had made no comment on this. Bad people there now. I dislike stopping there and will not over night ever again.BTW. I have the receipt to prove my cut lines were replaced on a road call to their parking lot. In case Flying J or the owner wants proof of my claim here.I am an owner. So I paid for the damage. 400 plus dollars. I support my family with this truck that I am paying for. Bad people.
Very little space for vehicles pulling trailers. People were great restrooms clean food is good. But if you have a long load go elsewhere
We have repeatedly made this our Rock Springs fuel stop. RELATIVE SPEAKING, the bathrooms are reasonable clean. Reasonably-priced coffee-hot cacao large cups; lots of other munches available. NOTE: coming off I-80 proceed N through the traffic light and THEN turn left. There is no entrance IF you turn left AT the traffic light. We have made this mistake TWICE and it screws you up trying to do a u-turn to get back.!!!
This is the WORST Flying J I’ve visited. Sign advertised 3.65 for gas but was 4.08 at pump, which is ridiculous. RV lane is not suitable for any RV unless you are driving a small pickup pulling a pop up. We pulled in with our RV towing a Jeep only to find it wasn’t working. Be nice to drop a cone so people don’t waste their time. Made it out but parking lot is small and difficult to navigate. Go anywhere but here.
Shout out to the terrific people at Flying J in Rock Springs,Wy. I accidently dropped my ring when making a purchase. I called this morning and spoke with Kim who assured me it had been found. The manager kept in the safe until my husband and I could drive back for it. Thanks to both and the terrific person who found it!
This RV dump is very tight for large trailers. When pulling in to where cars gas take a right then right after pumps to have dump side against curb. If you have a choice use treatment plant instead it is further much much easier to navigate with any large trailer.
Didnt even stop. Their entry signs said auto/rv. It is NOT rv friendly. There is not a single rv spot and the driveway dead ends! Had to back out with a camper. It is a driveway disaster.
This is one really nice Flying J on the inside Defiance things you need is not as big as most of the other Flying Js but it does work very well I like it also because Dennys and a cat scale dislike how the parking lot is set up its pretty uncomfortable probably going to be made a better way other than that is good place so Im stop.
3 years later and this place hasnt gotten better. Awful, just awful. Manager cursing and smoking at front door. Wont give them another chance. Clearly no one with this company cares. The GM was going off on an employee and asked the guy if he was stupid. In front of customers.
Amazing service from Donny ! He is a class act !
TERRIBLE LOCATION! PARKING LOT DISASTER! DO NOT COME HERE!!
Great customer service with the bbq wings 😎
So clean and friendly 👍🏽
Getting in and out is a nightmare, limited parking and filled up by 5pm for semi trucks the food is undesirable. Small stores limited supplies
Their gas pump malfunctioned and didnt stop when my tank was full, while I was cleaning my windows and poured about 5 gallons of gas all over my truck and the ground. The night manager was extremely rude and basically told me to kick rocks instead of refunding me the $20. I have a 27 gallon tank, when I pulled up I had half a tank of fuel, when I stopped the pump from pouring I was at 18 gallons. If you do that math its about $20 that got waisted because thier pump didnt function properly.
The cleanliness was terrible. Pee jugs, over flowing trash cans, female bathroom had trash everywhere and ladies time of the month yuck, in one toilet. Dennys closed. Parking lot is hard to drive truck through due to pot holes, and easily congested.
Clean truck stop. Everything is good except the bathroom is too small for how busy it gets...two stalls and sometimes you have to wait for one.
Dennys breakfast was wonderful.
Employees dont know how to work pump issues. Manager laughs about it. 4 trys still no fuel. Girl named Cat unsure how to do her job either. Ill just get my fuel at loves ......poor service here
It is spectacular knowing that this location has such employees that care enough to take pride in their work and building repore with people that come in. Jacob, Travis, and Dustin are employees to keep they have a great attitude have fun while working and add personal touches that make a weary traveler feel important. Thanks so much for the little things and for all your hard work. Dustin I think showed skills in folding the towels in such a manner of a 5 star hotel. Small touches make a world of difference and cost nothing just like a smile. Thanks again and keep those smiles coming
Do not waste your time, total cluster to get into.
Such an oasis! Fantastically clean, thoughtfully well stocked, staffed with kind people and offering great value… I love this place.
The worst service ever... Cant pay by the pump... Cant skip the reward program... Cant cancel transaction... Spend 15 min on it... Went inside... Line over 10 people... Cashier struggle with payments... Half an hour lost! Ugh
We got here in the afternoon and didn’t have to wait at all for a shower. The staff here is incredibly nice and our showers were amazing! Super clean, super hot water and just what we needed after a backpacking trip in The Winds.
I am a truck driver who stopped for the night at the Flying J in Rock Springs, WY on 1/23/2020. When I pulled into the parking lot I was ecstatic there were multiple parking spaces open and my drive time for the day was almost extinguished. The lot was quickly filling up after I parked and within two hours completely full. I chose one of the parking spaces that was on the perimeter. At the time didnt think much of it. It looked like all spaces were free to park. It wasnt until 3 hours later with the parking lot completely full the manager on duty came banging on the drivers cab and explained the preimeter is reserved parking. If I wanted to stay then I needed to pay the $15 dollars. I explained there was nowhere marked on the pavement or any signage that showed reserved parking existed. I went into the store wanting to discuss with the other employees my situation. There were at least another 10 truckers who were heated about the situation. All Flying J employees directed all of us to discuss the situation with the manager on duty that night whom was the one banging on our cabs. We all explained there wasnt any signage saying the premieter parking spaces were reserved parking only. If we knew that upfront instead of telling us after the entire parking lot was filled we could have chosen to park in non reserved parking. It was very sneaky and unprofessional the timing of informing the drivers whom parked in reserved parking. The manager on duty that night was very hasty and super unprofessional which didnt leave a very good impression on any of us. She even mentioned the signage used to be on the pavement but is nolonger. It would be extermely helpful if the parking lot had reserved parking signage on the pavement or at least on the large barriers around the perimeter. I definitely will not be stopping at that location in the future. I even wrote corporate Flying J and they chose to ignore my email and not even acknowledge the issue. Hopefully this review will help other truckers.****update as of 4/10/21They added reserved signs to back of reserved spaces closest to store. They still havent put signs near the interstate back of lot premieter which those spaces are reserved as well. Only free parking is in the center.
I was at the flying j in rocksprings this morning and saw the way the morning supervisor treated this lady over a winning ticket and then he refused to cash out her ticket I even offered to use my id before she went out to get her Id and the man refused. Very unprofessional and rude I was embarrassed for the poor lady who was treated like a nobody then she went out to get her Id and he had the nerve to tell her because she left its no longer valid. He refused my id I was right behind her he should have told her that before she walked out
Need more parking
To hard to get gas if ur pulling a trailer. Even rv spot is not big enough
Very very small for flying j but the ppl here was patient with me.
Typical nasty greasy flying j I only go to find Jay because I had a fleet card where my boss had go to flying jay walk across street if have any down time it well worth it.
My Grandpa died here but overall good experience.
Tell people inside they have trucks blocking there drive. Oh it happens every night. So lets get people out there remove them making difficult to get fuel
NIGHTMARE!!If youre in an RV or towing Anything - AVOID this station. It is NOT truck stop. Its a pit stop for locals.Go to the Exxon further down Elk St. Lots of room to maneuver and diesel on all pumps not just in the center lane.
Great location, parking is limited but good. Mcdonalds across the street. Allison in the morning is just a sweet heart. Would stop here even if I didnt have to in the morning. Give that girl a raise she is a hard worker and hustles. The reason no 5th star paper towel dispenser was down to one in the drivers area.
Generally a nice place. Currently, there is a construction going on. That being said, there a lot of Crazy volvo and freightliner drivers of course with reefers.
If ever a place deserved zero stars, this is it. The truck parking lot is absolutely horrible and undergoing massive construction right now. Half the fuel lanes are shut down for renovation. The fuel delivery spot is directly in front of the fuel lanes so it blocks trucks from leaving. Understaffed front counter with long lines and management doesnt try to mitigate the problem. Avoid stopping here unless you have to. Pilot should cut their losses and shut this dump down and rebuild a modern facility elsewhere
THEY have their nice breakfast table. The food was excellent. I mean I give you enough to fill you, at a reasonable price. the employee was very respectful and nice. They greet you with a smile. They try to please all customers. When theyre busy it take a little longer, so be a little bit more patient. Service with a smile. Nice
Even if the gas when you stop is slightly more expensive... and it nearly never is... still worth it for friendly and knowledgeable service. Everything in here is clean and fresh... the coffee service bar is beyond compare. This is truly a fun and restful stop on the way anywhere!!
Absolute worst. 3 of 6 pumps down. slowest internet in free world. dirty. filthy. only 2 toilets. drive and lot are so cratered looks like youre on the moon. what are you doing with the money you get from us?
This is open to the public now. Free RV Park. Truck drivers dont matter to Pilot/Flying J AT ALL. I live in an RV & have to pay $460 a month. Think Ill move it in here & park it for free! Downgraded to 1 star. Dennys is only open 6-3. Everybody wants their stuff delivered, but they dont give one sliver of an iota that we are left with only junk food to eat. AND WHERE ARE OUR AMERICAN FLAGS!!!
If you’re a truck driver, at least for now anyway avoid this place. They’re doing construction and replacing pumps. They’re down about half of their fueling capacity. There’s a line of trucks down the road waiting fo get in
Went to take a shower after a long day of work. I waited 15 minutes for a shower. When I got my room I noticed all over the floor toe nail trimmings. EWW! That one picture is just one corner of the shower by the toilet. There were toe nails everywhere on the floor. It looked like new towels were put in and thats all. The shower was still so wet from the last person. So gross. (Oct 2,19)
Sophia is great!! Nice girl, everytime soo happy and attention with everybody. Thanks Sophia, you the best of the best.
Great restroom.
Not a bad stop for the end of the day. Showers were great. It doesnt offer a huge parking lot. Some spots are really hard to get in to. The store isnt overly huge but everyone is nice. The girl cleaning the showers and working back there had some great customer service for us. It was nice that the guys working up front acknowledged her customer service skills even if they didnt know her name because she was new! We dont mind stopping at this one!
Love Pilot and Flying J stores. Theyre almost always clean inside and out. Their point system is way better than Petro/TA. Points work straight from the point card like a credit card. Can use your points at the fast food restaurant located in the store 80% of the time. The app. They have also has great weekly offers for drivers so download and check it out.
We had dinner at 1 a.m, after long travels. Our waitress in the adjoining Dennys was fantastic! I hope that her bosses realize what a gem she is. We overhead her offering help and thanking her co-workers. Really made our night.
Gloria and I believe the other persons name was tao... Were very helpful when we had reserved a spot and someone was parked in it upon our arrival. They quickly remmendy the problem so we could park and get some much-needed slumber . These two went above and beyond there job description and definitely deserve to be rewarded for there hospitality. We will be coming here more often because of there professionalism and experience. Thanks guys for making a bad situation better. 😊
Be advised that, during the construction, the flow of traffic is through the fuel lanes. Watching a lot of chaos with trucks trying to move about in both directions.
Remodeled showers, clean restroomsParking lot could use a new coat of asphalt
Nice bathrooms. The day I visited this Flying J the bathroom was really clean. They have a lot to choose from for road snacking and they have a Taco Bell and a Burger King inside with seating. So, if you need to get the kids out of the car for a while, this would be a good place to do it.
The staff were EXTREMELY polite. Noticeably polite. Great service and selection of food items and clean restrooms. A delightful stop on a long trip.
Full admission, I did work there shortly a my wife has been a manager there for a long time but theres never enough staff High turnover and as a tenured truck driver I would say its one of the worst truck stops Ive ever been to. Some of the staff is super friendly and some of them just dont seem like they care, however, the ones that do do it really well so theres good people there that I think every since pilot obtained Flying J they have done nothing but make it worse than it was before the previous owner tragically died in a plane crash. It was a family business and it was running really well but now that pilot has it most of the Flying Js have gone downhill outside of franchisee independent owners. The guys in Knoxville Tennessee go run the show really need to get it together because its simply no longer a good truck stop, anywhere I go. I avoid pilots and Flying Js which is tragic because Flying J was my favorite truck stop before pilot took it over.
Things you appreceate when on the road this place got 5 stars from us! Great food and service for breakfast at Dennys. Bathrooms were clean, good smelling, pleasant smelling soap, Hot Water, and the convenience clerk didnt charge me for a cup of Ice! Great Friendly Service!
Clean showers with plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Lot is small but overall this Flying J is nice and well maintained.
Great place for a fast stop as youre driving through the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. The gas is priced appropriately everything inside is clean and nice and everyone there was very friendly. Again a great place to stop if you need some gas or just need a little break as youre driving between the long destinations between cities in Wyoming.
I think things are a little over priced... But, for a truck stop I can see why. Wade the sales associate up front is amazing! He is so kind and helpful... You can tell he really knows what hes doing and also you can tell he really loves his job. Its nice to go in there when hes working and see a smiling face.
Ok so I go into Denny’s and I’ve been here often so I expect good things I get the nachos to go and I even asked the cashier if this was all that come with the large nachos as far as the meat goes and she said that’s what the cook told her sooooo I’m done with them this is all it takes for me to be done with a place keep that in mind when selling food you can lose a customer quickly
As a professional driver I appreciate the many fuel stops offered by pilot flying j. They are almost always friendly with plenty of parking for me and my rig. They have been and remain my stop of choice for fuel and taking my breaks. They have a variety of food choices and excellent coffee.
Good truck stop but it could be in a better location. Semi traffic backs up traffic due to the location, especially when Interstate 80 closes due to bad weather. Dennys restaurant inside, has showers, always busy with semi trucks and tourists. Gas is cheap for that area of town.
This place has an incredible staff. We needed help and they did all they could to take care of us. The Dennys staff was nice and accommodating and Sal the night manager of the flying J and his coworker wade were supportive and helpful. If you are looking for a good stop, this is the place to come! Great customer service!
I was stranded in Rock Springs after my motorcycle broke down in the Wyoming desert. Made it to this Flying J, and the manager on duty that night was super helpful and understanding. He allowed me to wait for rescue in the drivers lounge and even brought a travel pillow so I could get some sleep! Very impressed with his above-the-call-of-duty attitude. The showers were also well kept and clean.
I really like this truck stop I wish you would not have taken out the restaurants in all of your Flying Js and put in Dennys I dont like them I want the old restaurants back. It was so much warmer so much friendlier and so much cleaner. On another good note you didnt have any fruit out while grapes out and the ladies were nice enough to make me up a couple grapes so I didnt have to go without my grapes this morning. Thank you to the ladies the coffee lady that area was a mess in the truck drivers left it for her. And I think its so bad that us as truck drivers have to go in and leave it looking like that. To make us look like pigs. Come on come on drivers your mama dont work here and your wife dont work here. Clean up after yourself. Dont leave it for the girls to do I felt so sorry for the coffee lady she is such a mess to clean up. Simple as that you spill it clean it up. Were not pigs well some of us arent
Lots of goodies for Commercial Drivers! Love it! Their drivers lounge is a little small, but the entire facility including showers are clean and nice.
Avoid this place at all costs until the renovations are complete. Most of the diesel pumps and half of the truck parking spots are blocked off.
Im a truck driver by nature so I travel to a lot of truck stops. This one was above average compared to the others. Its pleasant going into a clean restroom.
They need better wolf shirt variety. Black lab, golden retriever addition. But I digress, I filled up my tank for cheap. I also still bought a wolf shirt.
I tend to avoid this place at all costs. Unless I have no other fueling options. Super tight, super busy makes more an unpleasant experience. Good luck getting in and out of here in a timely manner. Fortunately there’s some streets you can park on overnight in rock springs.
The one RV lane is very tight for longer RVs. There are three trucker lanes open due to construction. Avoid until construction is finished.
If they put a bean to cup machine in every pilot or flying j, I would give all the stores 5 stars.
This truck stop has been here for a long time. Needs to be upgraded in a major way. Parking lots gets a little hectic. Arrive early if you wish to find a parking spot. Plan for long waiting periods to fuel up during the day. This place gets pretty busy. Ive waited at the left turn light due to the line of trucks waiting to get fuel. I do not stop here often unless I absolutely have to. You have been warned.
Overall, a nice place. However, of the on-site Dennys left something to be desired. While the food was above-average, the service was not. The person with whom I was traveling, had to flag down a waitress, and then when she took our order we had to ask her 20 minutes later, how much longer before we get our order? In a very matter-of-fact fashion, she said, your order is up next. I saw several customers who came in after we did, get their orders ahead of us. They were served by a different server. Maybe our server was having an off day.
Came in about 2pm for my 30 min break. Checked in at the truck. Was in and out in 18 mins! New record. Had time to make a sandwich and go!! Clean showers ! Small parking lot tho! Get there early!
I enjoy a clean restroom, and a busy place like this, its nice. The floor was clean near the drinks. There was a new guy doing my lottery ticket, learning as he went. He had to do it 2x because he was unsure of the amount, but he did it.
They have work going on the fuel lanes so its kinda tight. But the staff was awesome and the place was spotless. We really enjoyed our stop
I was ignored by the clerk when went to the counter, she was putting tobacco products on the shelf, made one glance over her shoulder and continued to do what she was doing rather than helping me. Customer isnt the priority, or rather, guest, as they say at the flying j. I then asked for a chicken parmesan sandwich, which was one of the dryest sandwiches Ive ever eaten. The bathroom was clean, but its not enough to make me go back; I will drive a little further next time Im in green River Wyoming
Okay, the people there are awesome for the most part. Great customer service. However, this is not a true truck stop. VERY small, hardly no spaces to park and no space to really wait to fuel. Its a busy truck stop due to it being right off of I80. I hate to say this, but better to get your fuel before or after if you can. I have waited in line for more then 2 hours here just to get fuel. Want to talk about wasting D.O.T hours. They need to enlarge their lot if they can. And to be fair, this is during the busy time of day, @2, 3 am should be fine.
Tried my card on 3 different pumps and they all gave me errors. When I went inside two cashiers were so engrossed in their own conversation I couldn’t get their attention for several minutes. I finally spoke to one and she gave me so much attitude I just took my card and left. Too many other gas stations to deal with such a mess. Flying J should be embarrassed if this place
Great choices of aloe vera drinks. Best place to find them
Update; So the Owner Did reach out to me via response on google. I appreciate that. They asked for details in an email and provided a number for feedback. I called the number. The Call Center is closed today. Basically It was OK. The two Stars came from the service. I waited two minutes while an Employee was preaching to the other about mandatory sentencing which I believe one of the two were getting ready to have to serve. I expect service. Period. I paused and told the clerk to finish the conversation. She was a little perplexed.
Its Flying J what can I say its usually clean ans the staff is somewhat friendly and usually good about getting you in and out quickly.
Parking is tight during fuel island construction. Trucks parking without regard for traffic flow.
Quick stop with everything and great people watching! Love the coffee and snacks and friendly service.
It was ok.Atleast the coffee area was all in order. Bean to cup 4me. All supplies readily available. There was soups still out ..,but no roller items, they were being brought out while I was there, mind you 2am ..1 lady doing all of that side & running checkouts. So Hats off 2 her..
Where to begin...The parking lot is a nightmare. The shower was in a state of disrepair.Very few choices for carry out food, not terribly surprising after attempting to be seated at the Dennys and finding two tables more than two waitresses could handle. The staff was very polite and accommodating, as they should be considering everything else. The staff at truck stop turned out to be the only bright side of the whole event.
Very poorly laid out and designed. Trucks waiting to refuel still out on street and theres only one entrance and exit which then becomes bottlenecked.
Clean restroom they had good gas prices when we passed thru.
Gas is usually cheaper here than the rest of the city. The bathrooms arent always the best, but it is a good place to stop. It has the best track record of youre stopping in Wyoming.
The station was clean inside and it was nice to have an RV specific pump but very tight to maneuver through the gas station once you are done pumping.
It sucked I got there at 11pm hungry and nothing out as far as hot food, but lucky for me there was a Dennys next door. one stars to give.
I did not intend to rate your establishment poorly, in fact I enjoyed the food I ate and the service I received. Instead of pocket dialing I must have pocket rated you. Thanks for reaching out, and well be sure to stop by next time we are in town.
Overflow of trash, no management present, prolonged blocked fuel isle,ot weather related. Small cramped, illegal parked trucks, blocking exit.
Im sorry. The further west we got, the worst the Pilot was.My lovely wife said its probably they need more employees working there.
