Beautiful place, friendly staff and not mask Nazis!

The place is huge! They have so many selections, and a good price for the quality you are getting! Huge stone selection, which we need to complete our pond. We highly recommend the staff, as the were able to answer our questions, and gave us advice on the best way to make our waterfall. I am honestly disgusted by their greediness and false advertising. And if not false advertising then it would be called price gauging. My mother is looking for flooring. I sent her to this store because they are advertising “ALL flooring 40% off”, in honor of their founder’s sale. They quoted her the same price, for made in China CALI bamboo, as Home Depot is selling it for without any sale, stating that this includes the 40% off price and on the top of that they included a 5% first responder discount for someone who has been putting their life on a line tending to COVId+ patients for the past year. So either their prices are gauged, because they are charging almost twice the price for the same product sold elsewhere w/out 40% off, or they are laying. In addition, the flooring salesperson, Pam, attempted to kick my mom out of the store because it was 5:02pm, adamantly telling her “you have to leave now”, while she was still finishing up viewing other products while many other people were at the store as well.Are you serious Benson Stone? Is this how you do your business? If you can’t discount something, that’s fine, but don’t advertise that you will and don’t lie about it.Such a shame, because I had high respect for them from previous interactions.I did plan on buying a natural stone for my fireplace from them, but at this point I will be sure to go elsewhere.DO NOT TRUST ANYONE AT THAT STORE. “Family owned” is nothing but a catch phrase.

Terrific store and selection of anything you could possibly want for your home. Friendly and knowledgeable staff on every floor. So many beautiful items from furniture to lighting. We are considering other purchases for our new home (Countertops, mattress and window blinds). My husband wanted a grill that was the floor model at Benson Stone. Sales Rep was very helpful and answered all questions my husband had. We purchased it along with many accessories for it.We received a call with delivery time of 12-2pm for the end of the week. We were basically scolded by the delivery staff when they arrived at 11am. No assembly or set up was required, just pick up and place on patio, no steps. Delivery charge was $75 to drop it off 2.9 miles from store. VERY unreasonable but we had no choice even when we provided the delivery address and I made the comment that we are so close by! I read other review where delivery charge was waived, which only made me feel worse. My husband is happy with his grill which is most important since it was expensive without the Delivery charge.

We purchased 2 light fixtures and a room fan during our last visit. Tamara Talley assisted us and was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. We have now received our entire order, the lights and fan are installed in our new condo and look wonderful! This was our first experience at Benson Stone and it was most positive! Even though we don’t live in Rockford, when we next are in the market for lighting or furniture, we will consider Benson Stone first. It was an enjoyable experience!

Every time I go into Bensons, everyone there is very professional and knowledgeable. Over the years, weve worked with almost every department at Bensons. Each time, we have been so impressed with the quality of service weve received. Their selection is amazing too. Its so nice to have a store like this available to us. If you are looking to update your home lighting, Benson Stone was great to work with. We were apprehensive about purchasing there when many of the fixtures hanging were out of our price range. But, Tamara sat down with us and helped us find similar fixtures with prices that were comparable and, in many cases, better than the box store prices! What sold me was when Tamara said for us not to rush the buying process; she then took the time to further research other models we might like and then emailed options to us. When I need anything else in the future, I will be heading straight to her!

Our service repfor the last several years is River and did his normal excellent job with the redo of our living room!! We had an issue with the carpet being extremely sensitive to foot prints. You could literally lay down and make snow angels in the carpet. Benson stood behind the carpet and replaced it!! Benson did our entire family room and bar last year and it turned out excellent as well. Thanks for the great service!

My husband, Mark, and I have had an EXCELLENT experience with each home remodel that we have had done by Benson Stone Company! When we moved into our new to us home in 1989 (yup, 32 years ago) we had Bensons replace carpet in the bedrooms (that was only the beginning!) - since then they have replaced flooring in the entryway, lower level bedrooms, kitchen and hallway! THEN...a few years ago we decided to change our wood burning fireplace to a gas log, etc.....what began as a simple project grew with the wonderful assistance of Benson staff ... fireplace was redone (including the stacked stone and mantle), living room and dining room carpet was replaced with manufactured hardwood (the same flooring as in the 2nd floor of the store - WE LOVE IT!), main and master bathrooms completely gutted and remodeled, family room and master bedroom carpet was replaced AND finally we are now waiting for the flooring for our lower level to be installed! Each staff member that we worked with was so patient and knowledgeable. The cost of each project was fair and competitive with other stores. We are a real advocate of supporting LOCAL businesses - and Benson Stone Company is the BEST! Mark & Nancy Carlson

We went in thinking prices would be too high we would have to wait a year to get our things. We shopped for floor models and clearance items and found everything we needed. Celi (sell-lee) was awesome to work with. She got her steps today with us. Highly recommend the third and fourth floor crew when ever you go for furniture needs. Bought a beautiful couch and oversized chair. As a first time homeowner, they were easy to shop the store and got all my questions answered - ask for Cynthia! I feel like I got good value for the money; bought a floor model on clearance, paid for delivery and the 5 year warranty. I would definitely recommend this company. It was the first and only place I went to for my home furniture. My boyfriend offered to go to other places but I said why look further when I feel in love with what I found? I was confident with my first choice pick and now two months later, I have no regrets.

Benson was great and worked with us to fit things into the budget. We walked in looking for quotes on fireplace and flooring and walked out with all of those purchased and for prices that were extremely competitive. Definitely have them on our places to go for future renovations!

I would never go back again. There were several employees working with mask wearing customers. The employees were not wearing any masks. We were in an enclosed building. I don’t really get it. So I took my business to someone else. I will never go back again it was obvious to me that they only wanted your money and didn’t care about your well being. I would give 0 stars if you could but I had to give at least 1.

This is our second time using Benson Stones products and services. The first time was to convert our wood burning fireplace over to gas and remote control. They were reasonably priced, and the installation was professional and on time. The product is high quality as is the services. Over a year later we called them because we forgot how to change the batteries and fire the pilot back up. They walked us through it over the phone without hesitation!We were so impressed that we returned to them this year when we bought our next home in Rockford. Guess what? All of the services and products are STILL amazing. You need to stop and visit their showroom and talk with their staff. I guarantee they have something you cant live without. You just dont know it yet.

We purchased flooring from them. The staff was very friendly and awesome to work with. We made a special note we wanted it done by Thanksgiving the whole process only took a week (they did have the flooring in stock that we purchased) which it was 2 1/2 weeks before Thanksgiving!!! We recently built a new home and selected all of our floor finishes, tile, and countertop materials at Benson Stone. Their sales staff were very helpful in showing us products that reflected our interests and finding things that worked well together. We used their installers for our flooring and tile surfaces and are thrilled with the quality of the installations. Our general contractor commented that Bensons installers did a better job than they usually see. Highly recommend!

We had hardwood floors installed in our entire house and the stairs to the basement. From our initial design with the help of Pat, to the measurement with Bill, to the flexible scheduling with Tyler, our experience was awesome! Very knowledgeable, professional, and awesome customer service. They were flexible and were able to work within our budget. Couldnt be more impressed. We also had the best installation possible. The expertise was phenomenal. Dave, Simeon, and Barry were so respectful, polite, courteous, and professional they just were amazing. They more than exceeded any expectations that we had. We could not believe what an awesome job they did. Our house looks great with our new flooring. I cant say enough about the whole experience from start to finish. Benson Stone is an excellent place to buy furniture. It’s the first place I mention when friends and family ask for a good place to purchase quality furniture.

From the initial order to delivery, we had a great experience! The furniture is truly beautiful and turned out even better than expected! Our newly renovated attic, which was nothing more than studs, insulation and a subfloor, has evolved into a music lounge. The furniture we ordered pulled it all together and created two separate seating areas. We LOVE the space created and enjoy having beautiful, comfortable furniture to lounge about on!

We had some large rocks delivered for our outdoor gardens. The gentleman that delivered the rocks was very polite and accommodating. He placed the rocks as close as possible to the area that we were working in. Very much appreciated the fact that he was very careful not to wreck the grass.

What a great place to find lighting fixtures! The ladies who work there are tremendously helpful. The selection of fixtures is vast. The prices are reasonable, and the store itself is a treasure. You can shop for fixtures, then have a bite to eat in the cafe. All in all you will have a pleasurable experience.

Benson Stone was a dream to work with. We wanted a classic limestone fireplace to replace the developer-grade black tiles that previously surrounded our gas fireplace. Kevin was amazing at understanding what we wanted, providing samples for us to bring home to make sure the stone color was just right, and coming over to measure and consult on the final design. The installation was quick, professional, and clean. The hardest part was waiting in anticipation as it was fabricated! We are so happy with our fireplace and with the excellent service provided at Benson Stone! We will be back!

Remodeling our Master Bath was a huge project. The people at Benson Stone were great in helping us at every step. We had a great designer help us select the tile, granite, cabinets, lights and plumbing fixtures to make our completed project something we are really proud of and enjoy using. There was a wide selection of products, which would have been too much for us without the assistance of a great designer. He came to our house and created a design to complement and blend with the rest of our home. We are very happy and would recommend Benson Stone to anyone needing the materials and expertise to complete any project inside or outside of your home.

After renting my mothers house for 3 years we wanted prepare the house to be sold. The renters had ruined some of the flooring so we called on Benson Stone to assist. We were very pleased with the professional and appropriate advise offered. They found an economical solution and promptly arranged installation. Very helpful in advice on tiling and counter tops. I bought my backslash tile here and installed it myself based on their advice and turned out wonderfully. We also choose granite countertops and it was installed professionally and it looks awesome. Countertop pricing was actually below their competition.

The luxury vinyl flooring installation in our lower level bathroom satisfied our expectations for a quality job and a stone tile look. The estimator was knowledgeable and congenial and the installer was considerate and thorough..

I purchased a custom sofa from Benson Stone. Larry Watts was extremely helpful in picking out a fabric that would fit my needs, especially considering I have two dogs. He not only helped me pick out a good fabric for wear but also helped me with color coordination of decorative pillows.When I received my sofa, I liked it so much that I ordered another one for a different area and Larry gave me more of his expert advice.

Tamara helped me pick out lights for our entire house! She was so helpful and informative! I rave about her to everyone I know!!

Was referred to Benson Stone by a friend when they learned we were going to purchase new living room carpet. I was surprised that the carpet that we wanted was more affordable here than at the local big box store The sales rep was very knowledgeable about flooring and even came out to our home to make sure the measurements were correct before ordering. Will definitely come here again when we are ready to re-floor another room!

First time there. They were very helpful and knowledgable. We went in to look at wood stoves and we were given a wealth of information. I would definitely recommend going there for stoves, fireplaces, or grills.

Gorgeous high end furnishings but a little pricey. Bought landscaping rocks one time and had a good experience. So much fun stuff to look at. The clearance items are closer to being affordable.
