Left our Remington 1100 for a complete cleaning, new rings and oil. Expected it to take a week. three weeks later still not done. Paid $100 for it to find out gun started to jam at the range. Took it to another gun shop. Was told there was no way the gun was cleaned thoroughly. Very disappointed.

Johnathan is the best gun store owner around, friendly, easy to work with, helpful, and funny, all while being extremely fair and informative. I exclusively do business here whenever possible, hes taken good care of all the arms ive dropped off for work and is great on price.

Went in with an old Beretta 70s The trigger mech was binding on the grip. Grips are no longer available. Jonathan showed me where it was rubbing on the inside of the grip and advised me how to fix it. Took me 5 minutes and the gun works like new.Great knowledge and service!

Red Dot and Johnathan are wonderful. Although selection is limited, the basics are there. Mostly I buy powder.When it comes to gunsmithing, I can write from experience Johnathan is a top notch armorer and gunsmith. His expertice is well worth the investment.

Red Dot Shooting was able to solve a rifle go to extraction failure quickly and corrected the problem with minimal delay. Jonathan found a nearly invisible burr holding the extractor open so the bolt didnt pull the shell case out of the chamber. Once removed, the bolt worked perfectly.

Selection seems aimed at the target audience of USPSA/IDPA/3gun/etc shooting community. Lots of whizbang trinkets for the gamer-type shooters, and lots of stuff for pistol guys, not so much for precision rifle guys. Not my cup if tea, but if youre into the gaming scene then this is probably a good place to shop.Dude at the counter wanted to talk my ear off, but I honestly didnt give a hoot about anything he was saying. Probably gets lonely though so I was polite and let him talk until he hit a decent stopping point before leaving. I can deal with oddball people though, I mean we all have our quirks about us, but the selection wasnt a good fit for my style of shooting and its a bit of a drive for me so I rarely visit.But if youre into the gamey stuff then this shop is for you.

Cant beat the NRA basic pistol course. Glad I did not take a 2 hour course somewhere else. Jonathan made everything so easy to understand. He patiently gave those of us who needed, the knowledge and confidence to safely handle, clean and shoot. He offered different techniques to complement different strenghts. Walked in and knew what I wanted. Was ingored even though there was two employees and only one customer inside. Looked around and waited next to what I was looking at. Not once was I asked if I needed help or if they could do anything for me. Shop looked well under stocked and not much to look at. Was asked if I needed help once I reached the door to leave. A simple hello would have made that sale. Ill shop elsewhere

Excellent experience all around. Very helpful/friendly staff they spent a good deal of time answering questions (from very basic to technical), discussing different features in manufacturers, handling different types of pistols and not feeling rushed at all. After my pistol was selected ran thru the gambit of accessories for it- no pressure to purchase one way or another basically as with every fire arm and accessories they are unique to the individual and the staff def portrayed this attitude over the course of the sale- what works for you the user. Will be back staff was great, personable, and didnt feel that I needed to be an editor for guns and ammo to be on level with them which is rare based on other local stores.

Weapons-grade weirdness--never again. Not knowing them, I had the store handle an FFL transfer (my mistake). I called the store and asked Amanda how to begin. Following her instructions I had my friend send the item to the stores address. The morning it arrived, I called and asked when I should come by to finish the transaction and was stonewalled. Exasperated, the owner told me to come by at 3. When I arrived, I was chastised for not calling ahead (which I did) and arranging the transaction. I didnt want to get Amanda in trouble, and at this point it seemed as though the owner was looking for an excuse to send the item back to California, so I bit my tongue. While waiting on the paperwork, my friend called and asked me how things were going (he knew of the weirdness earlier that morning and knew Id be there at 3pm). I turned around and was quietly relaying to him how it was taking longer because the clerk didnt initate the transfer and nobody knew about it, when Amanda started butting in on my private conversation in an attempt to defend her inaction.Overpaid ($50 for FFL), and got the hell out of there. Complete twilight zone, that place.

I have been on a hunt for a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 for some time now. I called all of my local gun shops in the Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware areas to see if they could order one through their distributors, but was told that they could not because they are so difficult to acquire.I then contacted several gun shops located near the Kel-Tec factory, thinking that I might have better luck due to local relationships with the manufacturer, but was told that they could not help me either. Generally speaking, these shops were quick to brush me off when I asked if they could order one for me or the few that actually had my model in stock said that they would not sell it to me because I am a Maryland State resident. Apparently, that was just their policy and prerogative, when I inquired why?I decided to try Red Dot Shooting, as a last ditch effort before just giving up altogether and so glad that I did. Amber and Jonathan were amazing; their level of customer service was impeccable! They are very friendly, knowledgeable, took time to patiently and thoroughly answer all of my questions, followed up with me as promised and kept me apprised of the entire ordering and shipping process. They acquired exactly what I requested by the very next day and had it shipped.You just dont see this level of service and integrity these days! I just cannot say enough and could not be happier with my experience and purchase!!!

I started going to Red Dot Shooting when they were down the street in the small store on Eyster Blvd. Actually I tried a lot of stores in the area before going there, but since the first day I walked in the door I knew I had come to the right place. The owners Jonathan and Rachel, are competitive IPSC, USPSA, and 3 Gun shooters. Johnathan does the gunsmithing and sales. Rachel does the concealed carry classes, runs the financial end, and also does sales too.As you can imagine they arent your typical gun store. They concentrate on products for competitive shooting disciplines that include tactical pistols, rifles, and shotguns typically used in these events or very useful for personal defense. They are also a NFA dealer so you can buy suppressors (aka silencers) and SBRs from them or have your machine gun transferred to them from out of state dealers.So if youre looking for a skeet or trap gun you might do better elsewhere. They are one of the largest stocking dealers in Blade Tech holsters (the whole west wall is nothing but holsters!). They are also Dillon Precision dealers and I just bought a Super 1050 from them. They currently have a plethora of consignment guns if your looking for something rare or special (sorry, but no KSGs!) like an unfired 20 year old Weatherby or an engraved handgun.Amber is their daughter and she handles the problems with getting stuff into the store and also knows how to shoot well and does sales when things get busy.Zak (the young man that just graduated from High School) is an accomplished competitive shooter and well versed in various shooting disciplines. He also likes tactical toys like belt fed rifles and is quite friendly. I have seen him shoot before and hes fast and accurate. He also likes to reload ammo in his spare time and dream about getting his first machine gun. ;-)Dan is friendly as well and also likes tactical toys like souped up AR-15s and the FN F2000 bullpup designs. He is also a reloader too.Of course I have to mention Maggie and Moe (dogs) as I always stop to pet them and tell them how they dont get enough pets. :- )As you can imagine they can get quite busy as there are a lot of tactical and competitive shooters in Brevard County so you might wait a few minutes to talk to the staff. If there busy I say hello, make myself a cup of coffee, and read a gun magazine or see what new toys are in the tactical accessory area. I also talk to customers there because a lot of them work for various gun manufacturers in the area and you never know when you might need to get some help. :DCons: They seem to have the same problem all gun shops have in getting ammo and the high quality guns I like in the last few months. However, you can blame the Democrats for that problem....
