I would like to summarize most of my experience with rockledge mowerWhen I met Jay black he was a swell guy I purchased two mowers from him he even gave me a in store Credit, Then he had a employee turn over I was going to do a trade with JayBlack trimming some trees in exchange for some repairs to my 34in Exmark and 48 inch Mower well I did the tree work even rent a boom lift to do safety BUT! His employees never put the New motor on my exmark but junked the mowers instead ! Yes! This review has come very late and I would like it to be noticed and rectified with great credit back to my company!!

This place is awesome! As an owner of a professional tree service I have been to many repair shops. Today I needed some parts and service on a Honda motor while in the area working and stopped by. Jay was super helpful and treated me like I have been a customer for 20 years. All parts that I needed were in stock and their turn around time on the repair was more than quick. I will surely be a return customer for their Honda parts, Stihl parts, and more importantly their friendly handshake kind of service. Thank you
I love their service. Had a 35 year old plus chainsaw. They were able to get the parts correctly the 1st time. Very satisfied with their service I would highly recommend them and I will be using them in the future .
Everybody has their own opinion on what makes good service. Before visiting the shop I read several negative comments. Whether they are valid or not I do not know but I can tell you I had a fantastic experience there everybody was more than willing to help well-educated knowledgeable. With fewer and fewer resources in the area for this type of service its great to have these guys around
Staff not very friendly. They seem to avoid being upfront with you and then costs are higher than expected. Just shady characters not showing much honesty. Other mower shops in the area are much friendlier and show a willingness to help and not just get the most out of you as this place does. Avoid it.
Purchased a blower here 2 months ago at the most. When i purchased it the man said your total is 438 and change my bank statement a few days later said 456 and change. Brought the blower in because after 2 months it wasnt working well they charged me $25 to fix it in the 5 minutes I was there. I dont feel like I should have charged period the blower was less then 3 months old. Revcut doesnt charge anything to fix newly purchased equipment within the first few months. Ill stick with revcut for now on.

I recommend Rockledge Mower for your small engine repair needs.After seeing the negative reviews (when I checked for their hours this morning) I wanted to offer a differing point of view. I dont usually write reviews but if Id seen some of these reviews first its very possible that Rockledge Mower might not have had the opportunity to earn my business as a new (and now loyal) customer.I have a lawnmower and a generator that Id let fall out of proper maintenance and I didnt want to work on them myself. I like to support local businesses and I randomly decided to give Rockledge Mower an audition with my lawn mower.Their policies were clearly explained before accepting the mower for repair and I was called with the estimated repair price when promised. I was greeted by name when I returned for my lawn mower; was offered the old parts for inspection; and the repairs were demonstrated prior to helping me load the mower in my truck. I now have a lawn mower that runs even better than when it was new for the repair price I was quoted.Based on my first experience with them, Rockledge Mower earned my generator repair business. I got the generator back today and I am still a happy customer. Ill be returning to Rockledge Mower for all of my small engine repair needs.ps: Appeal in this context is a small, locally owned business with friendly service, pride in workmanship, and convenient hours and location for my needs.

This has been several years ago but I bought a belt for my mower and it was the wrong size when I took it back to exchange it I asked how much for them to change it and he told me $20 I thought great I might as well let him do it so when they called me back to pick up the mower he told me it was $170 I’m like what you told me that it was $20 I know it don’t take long to replace a belt and he told me that they had to drop the deck which I know because I had changed it before he asked me did he look at the mower when he quoted me a price and I told him no and he said he always looks at the mower before giving a price and I told well i brought it it based on the price you gave me and how can you justify the price he did knock the price down to $90 but that’s still a long way from $20 I feel he got me in the door then screwed me over but I can tell you it won’t happen from this place again beware the guy in the wheelchair is a scammer you have been warned

Overpriced and horrible customer service. I have tried to reach out to your company more than a few times, and without fail you guys are very unhelpful. Re: called you twice (from cellphone) this AM. Neither time did you pick up the phone. Ive called you all in the past and youve been over priced this is why you dont have a transaction history because I wont shop with you. I have heard from other professionals in this town not to deal with you all.

We took our weed eater in, paid a $40.00 deposit and 2 weeks later, it still hasnt even been looked at. Called yesterday morning and was told that it was on the clipboard and we should have a diagnosis before the end of the day. When I called this morning, I was told that it still hasnt been looked at and that they were looked at in the order they were received - unless there is a commercial account or the item was purchased from them. These customers get their items looked at first...guess they have enough business that they dont need mine.Picking the weed eater up and taking it someplace else.I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!

Took my Walk behind edger in to get it repaired. The pull cord would not engage the crank.I had to leave a $50 deposit. The Mechanic pulled on the cord and determined that the engagement spring was broken. I was charged $50 for half hour labor for mechanic to pull on the start cord .cost of estimated repairs $130 unit cost $175. I have contacted the Florida dept. of consumer services.My bill says $50 diagnostic service no labor involved according to the dept that is illegal.Had to give one star to post.Should be negative 5
I brought my generator in for repair because it wouldn’t start. They gave it a tune up and cleaning, cost of $400. Then told me it was another $800 to fix the broken part. Who does that? Why not troubleshoot the problem first? Took back my nonfunctioning generator and sucked up the loss.Response,Correct, haven’t been back since then, April 2017. Just now getting around to the review as I’m shopping for new lawn equipment and thought others may benefit from this.
Bad service They are not customer friendly
WOW! I called on the phone and talked to Jay and ask if he had a part for my 8-9 old generator with a Briggs and Stratton motor. Jay told me where to find the model number and ask me to email him a photo and the part to make sure it was the right one and it will be here in a couple days! Great service!!

Went here to see if my generator would be taken care of by briggs and stratton warranty, some of these reviews had me worried, but upon getting there my worries were laid to rest. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman at the counter and told him my issue, he handled it accordingly. the staff were all helpful with a good sense of humor. unfortunately the generator is not covered by the warranty, but after this pleasant and professional experience i will defiantly be giving Rockledge Mower & Services my future business.
Home of the even though we didnt fix it, you still have to pay guarantee.Jay keeps getting Google to remove the negative reviews, but he cant hide from his lies and thievery. I have nothing else to do while I wait for the stump grinder he fixed to charge anyway, so I can do this forever.He leaves your stuff out in the rain for a month before he gets around to fixing it, and when it is finally ready, it doesnt work. He knows it doesnt work, but he tries to make you pay anyway. Good luck with this one if you need anything done right.
If i could give 0 stars i would. This place returned my (under warranty) chainsaw to me in 15 different pieces. They even cut the pull cord? (See pictures) then they wanted more money to reassemble it. They made a huge list with 12 different things of whats wrong with my chainsaw thats is 2 months old and used once. Their employees have no clue whats going on there and no one seems to care. Please read reviews before buying anything or having any work done on your machines.

I gotta say, these reviews sure are negative. I recently bought an ignition switch for my husqvarna riding mower. Was the cheapest in brevard. While buying it, they were very very kind and informative on what to do with my mower next since it had been sitting. He explained water and gas separation. I gotta say, my experience was better than other shops around here. And no, im not an employee or a friend, just a happy customer. Though the purchase was small, I was able to mow my damn lawn finally
I took a pressure washer in saying that it was bogging down and no pressure when spraying and I thought it needed service. When I left, I wasnt happy with the outcome. However, Greg, the Service Manager phoned me to discuss what happened. He asked me to bring it back in and, no matter the issue, he would fix it correctly. And he followed through with that promise. My take on this service call is that not everything that happens goes as you would like. But these guys followed up and made sure the service was taken care of to my satisfaction. How many companies can you think of that do that with an upset customer? For me, its not many and no surprise its a locally run business rather than a large box store.
This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They are extremely slow. Way over priced. The wheelchair bound guy Jay is unbelievable rude and not helpful what so ever. I would discourage anyone from doing business with these people.
Never use this place. They overcharged me! I came in to buy a part for a small toro lawnmower.They told me to bring the lawnmower to the shop. First they asked for a $50.00 deposit. No one ever called to give me an estimate, when I got a phone call it was to say the lawn mower was ready and billed me $169. When I disputed the charge the lady, who is very rude, told me I either paid the amount or could leave the lawnmower there. They charged me $96.95 to clean the carburetor, which my neighbor had already done a few weeks before. They are a rip off!! Very dishonest. Their hourly rate is $80 but they dont tell you when you ask for an estimate.

After waiting five months for a warranty repair on a new generator I find out they are keeping it until they receive their payment from the manufacturer. Apparently they aren’t getting the money they are asking which leads me to question if they are asking for too much or, wait, it’s not my concern because I AM THE CUSTOMER!!!!!
Needed part for our Stihl weedwacker and a new edger blade. Visited store on 5/20 and was immediately greeted when my wife and I entered store. Having just moved to the area we found the customer service from Jay and rest of team to be nothing short of excellent. Thanks and we will be back!
Very bad. Avoid at all costs! Go anywhere else.I brought in a broken mower under warranty for service. They wanted a $40 deposit in advance just to look at it and said they would refund it if it was a covered repair.They did the repair after 3 weeks and said it was about $80 total and not covered by the warranty. I called Honda and they immediately told me the repair claim was never submitted and it should have been covered and they would contact Rockledge Mower. Rockledge Mower called me back again and said Honda would pay for the part but I would have to pay about $18 for shipping a part!!!I called Honda and they said that was ridiculous, called Rockledge Mower again and they finally said no charge.
Brought in my Sthil BG 55 Blower with high speed inop. Mechanic was able to diagnose exactly the fix needed from my explaining the issue and repair the same day at very reasonable cost.

I bought a used mower from them.Tne mechanic Doug came outside and said it was in good condition. I got home and it broke. Went back and Jay said to bring it back and he would take care of it for No Charge and give him a week. 2 weeks later i go to pick it up and he tells me he is not covering the repairs. $280.00 later. Jay is not a MAN of his word. REAL PEICE OF WORK. Stay as far away from Rockledge Mower as possible.
My mower wouldnt start. Had purchased two year protection plan at Wal-Mart when I bought it. Wal-Mart said to call manufacturer. Manufacturer told me to take it to Rockledge mower. When I dropped it off they said I needed to put a 50 dollar deposit down to cover any parts that werent under warranty. Called today and Greg was very nice and said mine was next to be looked at. I told him I didnt want to spend any money as I could take back to Wal-Mart with protection plan. He called back a few minutes later and said there was no oil in there and that was the problem. When I go to pick it up it cost me a total of 68 dollars for 8 minutes of work when I told them I didnt want to spend anything on the mower.I know the no oil is my fault but I just spent 68 dollars for nothing on a 120 dollar mower.How is this Loving your neighbor?

Absolutely horrible!!!!!!!Went to jay for a part for my mower and he ordered the wrong part, I came by a few days after picking up the part trying to explain that it was the wrong part and he didnt even look at me. Just swore it was the right part, came back the next day with my broken part and the one that he had given me and asked him to show me how they are the same part and he finally looked at it and admitted to his mistake, I had to wait another week for the right part.
Poor customer service; does not stand behind warranty for parts or service; and claim defective factory part(s) is somehow my fault. Hostile, smug attitude toward customer. I will not go back. A one star rating is way too much! You have been warned; take heed!

Needed a part for a Stihl chainsaw, person who answered the phone wouldnt check to see if they had part I needed. I asked and answer was, We have a bunch of diff fuel lines. I wouldnt drive 25 miles only to find out they had to order the part. I called another dealer a little further away and they confirmed part in stock.
I decided to give this shop one more chance after bad experiences in years past. They still dont carry any inventory of supplies for what they sell on the floor. Everything I come in for anything (mower blades, filters, etc) it has to be ordered and I end up having to drive all the way to Melbourne to get what I need. They also promise equipment back by certain dates and say theyll call if repairs will be higher than the original quote, but lo and behold nope twice the price as quoted with no phone call for authorization and didnt get eqipment back for 2 weeks instead of 2 days. Terrible experience on everything. Staff at front desk has no clue about anything. Wont be back here again. As a business in cant afford to be lied to about time frames.
I had the worst experience ever with these guys. I brought a Homelite trimmer in for repair first they said replacement parts were unavailable. I went to the vendor they use for said parts and found they were available ordered them and brought them to the shop. After two weeks waiting for the repair after I supplied the parts they call to say repair is complete but they can not start the trimmer. When I brought the trimmer in it ran fine I only dropped it off simply for a starter cord repair. After two weeks in the shop they say it is repaired but now the engine will not run and they can not explain why. I called Jay (owner/office mgr) to ask to explain, he was unable to and promply said ok dude then hung up on me, very unprofessional. I strongly discourage anyone from wasting their time and money with this business.
Worst customer service ever! They deserve ZERO star if that was an option.Six times, I had an appointment with this guy to deliver me a new riding lawn mower. I took time off work six times to be home for the delivery. Six times they were a NO SHOW, six times they never called me to apologize and reschedule, six times I had to call them back to reschedule, six times, Jay was very rude over the phone and each time hung up on me, the customer... I gave them a last chance (7th) last week for delivery, but they were over 20 minutes late, no call to let me know they were going to be late, and when a guy showed up with my new lawn mower in his trailer, he had an attitude, argued with me, was rude to me, no apology for being a no show 6 times before, and finally, I told him to go back to Rockledge with my equipment and I cancelled my order!Unbelievable that these guys are still in business with their crapy attitude towards their customers, that they are Toro, Home Depot and other companies authorized and certified professional dealer!Do NOT go there if you want to be treated like a person.
They charge almost $8 for a quart off oil when a mower does not even take 3/4 quart. Then Jay the owner says its more in stores. I put Royal purple synthic in my car the most expensive oil on the market and it cost me $8.75 at walmart. Not only that but if you ask them their hourly labor they will not tell you a dollar amount. But I did find out they CHARGE $80 AN HOUR. This is the most expensive shop is Brevard county
They are not a good business to go to left mower and they said a week out stop by and they still didnt know when they would get to it. I ask why they didnt call and let me know it would be longer,we dont have time to call people. Pick up lawn mower and bought a new one. Not a way to run a business
When i first met jay i thought he was a good guy, he seemed nice enough so i bought products from him, . my problem began when i dropped a mower off that jay said he would try and sell for me. we agreed that he would not take anything less than $1500.00 for this machine . i called him about every week or so to check on the sale, and he kept telling me that it was still outside and had not been sold. after that last call i decided to go pick up my mower, seeing as it wasnt selling anyway. once there i could not find my mower, jay told me someone must have sold it. he looked it up and told me it sold for $300, i just about dropped over ! i said we agreed on not selling it for no less than $1500 what happened ? he had no excuse. then even though he screwed me he took an additional 20 percent off leaving me $240.00, talk about getting robbed, he then wanted to give me a store credit instead of paying me. BAD COMPANY! WONT EVER GO THERE AGAIN !
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! In spite of the many bad reviews that I read about Rockledge Mower, I took my trimmer in to get fixed because they are the local authorized repair center for that brand. This was the WORST DECISION! After being told 3 times that my trimmer would be ready in the next 2 days, I finally went to pick up my un-repaired trimmer and my refund after 2 weeks. They returned the trimmer (which was still sitting on the shelf from when I brought it in) but refused to return me the refund. When I confronted them on their lack of timeliness, communication, professionalism, and customer service. They told me that they were too busy with larger repairs and that they didnt need my business. So, they will get what they asked for... THEY WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS AGAIN!
