The arrangement was beautiful but I was pretty disappointed with the delivery and customer service. I placed my order just before the end of same-day delivery window. The flowers were not delivered same-day - no biggie. I received an email confirmation that the flowers were delivered the next morning (they were not). I called several times both days to confirm the recipient would still be at work at the time of delivery. After finally getting in touch with someone, they placed me on hold and hung up. After calling back twice, they told me theyd call back after calling the driver & never did. The flowers were finally delivered several hours later without notification.

I was kinda nervous because I couldnt speak to someone on the phone here and I ordered 1 day prior. I was ready to book a flight to MD to see what was going on!! But they actually did deliver and did an awesome job. Thanks

Do not recommend. I order flowers for a friend yesterday at 9am. My friend never received them. I have called many times from last night and this morning as well as email them. I have received no response back from them via the email and no one picks up the phone when you call. Unfortunately do not live in area, so I cannot even drive to the shop to figure out what happened.

Oh my goodness! I got these beautiful flowers for my ex boyfriend! He really enjoyed them!The only reason why I got him these flowers was because he gave me my stuff back in a respectful manner- although it was a horrible break up, he was nice about returning my items. Ill miss him but the break up had to be done. I am never disappointed with the easiness of ordering from here. Its been hard this year with the Covid19. My family was to make a surprise visit to Germantown, but had to cancel. I sent my mother in law arrangements, that she loved. Plus a few days later a basket for her birthday as we were supposed to be there. She loved the basket. They NEVER DELIVERED the flowers I ordered for my sisters birthday. They dont answer their phones, they dont return calls, and they dont give ETAs on deliveries. I spoke to a man named Randy who actually told me to go yell at my husband because I was upset that they never delivered the flowers. I had spoke to him the day that the flowers were to be delivered and he refused to give me an ETA on delivery, said he would give me a call later with the info, and then never did. The delivery was for the day before Valentine’s Day and he kept blaming it on Valentine’s day. That’s not an acceptable excuse. He had such an attitude with me and insisted they are not in the business of not delivering flowers. WRONG. Im just hoping Ill get my refund now but Im skeptical considering the terrible customer service and yelp reviews that say they never got theirs. I will keep you guys updated on that progress. Overall, terrible business that should be shut down, period.***Update - I did get my refund, although it was late. Randy never took down my information or lost it (I can’t remember what his excuse was) the first time I asked for the refund, so I had to call back again for it. He apologized for what was said but nonetheless provided an abundance of his excuses again for the non-delivery. He did offer to send free flowers to compensate for the mistake but I will not be fooled twice. Overall, don’t be fooled by this business. Click on the the individuals that are leaving the reviews and you’ll see they are leaving almost the same reviews for other florists in the area....there’s one account that says thanks for the flower delivery on Valentine’s Day for this florist and another....obviously something fake is going on here. PLEASE DON’T ORDER FROM HERE! I wish there is a zero star. My husband ordered a flower for Mother’s Day(Sunday) but it never got delivered on that day. I called next day and spoke to a lady who said that she saw my order in the delivery truck and it will be delivered on Monday. I called again at 7pm that night because I still didn’t get the flowers. The same lady said the same thing, she saw my flowers in the truck and it will be delivered soon. Nothing delivered on Monday. Frustrating and poor customer service. I called Tuesday early morning and spoke to the owner. His excuse was COVID-19 but I see their reviews on Google and Yelp saying that people complained about their orders not being delivered during Valentines Day and even similar complaints from last year. Who are these people leaving 5 stars reviews? I asked the owner to cancel my order and he suggested taking delivery fee off from my order. No apology after two days not being delivered. I cancelled my ordered this morning over the phone but after 4 hours later, I see “withered” flowers in a cheap glass vessel in front of my door. Half of the flowers are withered and turned brown color. I called again but no on answered and their voice mailbox is full again!

I ordered a floral arrangement to be sent for Mother’s Day. A message on the order said that the arrangement may be substituted for a designers choice that would be of similar value. Instead of sending an arrangement, Gene’s sent a small hydrangea plant with a sagging ribbon. It wasn’t an equivalent value or even close. I’m sad that this florist felt that was okay to send this as a Mother’s Day gift when it was clearly not what was ordered or paid for. I have called every day with no answer and the mail box is full. I have also sent a message through their website and have received no response.

I ordered flowers for Mothers Day that were never delivered yesterday. I tried calling every number associated with this florist but every mailbox was full -- they have several locations. Received an email around 7:00 pm on Mothers Day saying they were busy and still delivering, but my mother never received her flowers. I cancelled the order stating that the day after wasnt Mothers Day. I called the Flower Shop Network to confirm my cancellation earlier this afternoon stating that today wasnt Mothers Day, so I expected a refund. I heard NOTHING from Genes Rockville Florist all day after trying again and again to email and call only to find out that at 7:30 pm THIS evening -- Monday, May 11 -- flowers were delivered to my mother even though I had cancelled the order very early this morning -- 3:00 am, in fact. Not only did they just go ahead and ignore my emails, the flowers delivered werent what I had ordered -- ordered a bouquet and a hanging basket was delivered. Despicable customer service and very shady business practices.

I ordered online shortly before 10 a.m. when the shop opened on a Saturday and they delivered the arrangement by 2 p.m. with a notification of delivery. She lives in an assisted living facility and they delivered it to her room as requested. They also had better prices than others in the area that I looked at. Great service that required no follow up on my part and great communication about my order....HIGLY RECOMMEND TO ALL

This place did not deliver my sister’s flowers as promised. I was charged and never reimbursed for lack of service. They are located near my sister’s house so I got sucked in. Taking more time to read through the reviews, it’s clear the positive reviews are fake. What a shameful business.

Do NOT trust them!While the flowers were extremely lovely, the experience was far from it. I ordered flowers to be delivered by no later than 3 p.m. I called at noon to check the ETA and was assured theyd be there right before 3 p.m. That was the first of 15 phone calls that took place (most made by me!) before they were delivered after 5 p.m. The only example of decent customer service was from a young woman whos a trainee: she asked me to confirm when I FINALLY got the flowers. The owner never checked with me (or, it seems, the delivery person) to see if Id received them.I checked my credit card to see if theyd been proactive in refunding (at least) the delivery charge. Nope! So I called and requested it. The owner grudgingly said he would refund the delivery fee after not really apologizing . But he hasnt refunded anything. Why would I think he would?!This review would be different if, at any point, there was any attempt at service recovery. There never was.

The service is great with this shop. I didnt know what to order and they said they can make something for my friends birthday. I was blown away with what they can camp up with. Defiantly worth the money. Ill be ordering from them no on.

I posted an earlier review that unfortunately was premature so now I’ll post an accurate up to date review:After 2 previous phone calls relating to a specific floral and balloon arrangement a beautiful vase of flowers were delivered.My only frustration was centered on attempting several times that day to contact the shop to only repeatedly receive a recorded message saying “mailbox full”. There were also no balloons with the flowers ( this was for my daughter’s birthday) and an added flower I specifically had asked not to include.But I will add after contacting the owner the following week he was apologetic and issued a credit back to my account with no hesitation.Overall I must say the floral arrangement was beautiful and very appreciated.

Flowers delivered 7+ hours after scheduled. We called & left NUMEROUS messages - no response - went to the florist to pick up the flowers - the address on google & website proved incorrect. The flower that arrived were beautiful. Giving a 2 because the flowers did show up. Email sent so I could review for their website yet wont let me leave a review unless I give a 5....

I ordered flowers and they were never delivered, there was no follow up etc. When I tried to call them multiple times they never picked up. Seems like an either fraudulent or grossly incompetent business (likely both). Their yelp reviews are much worse, I would trust those reviews. Please save yourself the money/headache and never give these charlatans your business

Genes delivered a beautiful, unique arrangement to a loved one in the hospital. She was thoroughly pleased with the unusual, elegant bouquet. Id highly recommend this florist for quality and price.

Horrible experience. Ordered a standing spray and two bouquets for a funeral. Specifically asked for orange lilies as those had special meaning for the family. There are NO orange lilies, I was never sent a receipt, and the delivery came at the wrong time. The total I was given over the phone was $370 and then I was billed $418. I called in to inquire and told it was due to a credit card surcharge?Communications are non-existent. If you cant get the flowers I request this time of year and called to tell me... Id understand and wed pick something else. If you want to deliver a day ahead of time and call to tell me, I can make that work too. If you tell me there is a delivery fee and cc surcharge... again.. wed be ok. But to bill wrong, deliver wrong, and get the wrong flowers to boot is about as bad as you can possibly get.Edit: after this review they called and told me that most people know that theyd deliver the flowers a day early and most people knew that there would be surcharges for delivery and credit cards. Oh and orange lillies arent in season.... All of that could have been handled with a simple phone call!! I ended up buying a ton of orange lillies at the grocery store myself (so much for being out of season) and adding them for the grieving mother.Edit 2: They offered to refund me $60 if Id amend the review. Thats just not making up for this terrible experience. Also.... I still need a receipt of the original purchase!Edit 3: I got a receipt today. It looks like they just made it. The numbers still dont add up to what Ive been charged. Its not that I was overcharged so much as they just arent the same.Edit 4: Whomever is calling me from the store is furious that I wont take down this review in exchange for $60. I told them to charge my cc back up to the full amount if they like but I just want to be done with this one. He then sent this threatening text ..I too will let the word out on you !...even your personal name is a fraud ! I dont want any money back. I just want to never deal with this place again.

I have contacted all the provided phone numbers from online attempting to reach someone about a floral arrangement I purchased this past weekend. I even called the manager Randy no response. No one ever picks up any of those numbers except for once to provide the managers number, completely unprofessional. I should have read the reviews for this company I’m not the only unsatisfied customer. The floral arrangement I purchased was never delivered to the recipient location or person even with me listing the instruction on my purchase. I wanted to surprise my wife with flowers on Valentine’s Day while I was away oconus that opportunity was taken from us due to poor planning and lack of communication from this company.
