The best butcher shop I’ve ever been too. Literally drive an hour just to get here. The staff are very very welcoming and friendly. The shop has no distinctive smell of old meat like other butcher shops. It’s VERY CLEAN! Not to mention the Meat is ALWAYS top quality, very fresh, oh and you get what you pay for! I’d choose this butcher shop ever single time. I go specifically for their lamb chops and I’ve never been so happy in my life to find fresh, halal, savoring meat. Thank you!

I’ve here a handful of times and every time I’ve had a great experience! They even remembered me the second time I came in even though it was a few weeks later. Everyone is kind and they have a great selection of quality foods, plus they’ll offer recipe advice for the ingredients I’m purchasing or dishes I want to make.

I had discovered MD International Mart as I was heading to another butcher shop. I am glad I went there instead.I found all of the Middle Eastern spices and treats there as well as other items I couldn’t find any where else. Ahmed, Ibrahim, Ilyas, and Maurice are so friendly and very professional. They don’t hesitate to help you with any order you may have. I would recommend going there for quality meat and service :)

Yeah sure, if you have never meant to cheat it, you would not placed the boneless meats on top and bones right under it. Bone pieces was perfectly hidden. Never mind though. Never ever shop from your store again.

Coming to MD International Mart is a joy ride for me, being away from home and having to experience the hospitality of Ibraheem, Ahmed and Elyas brings happiness to my face every visit. They have top notch quality halal meat it’s the best I had in the whole DMV area, not to forget their collection of spices that fit each culture, the diversity in the origin of their products all well selected by the people working there. I always recommend this place and will always recommend it to friends and family!

Been a customer here for many years. Never been dissatisfied with their service and the products they carry. They carry the best halal chicken I’ve bought around here. Other meats are also pretty good. They carry a variety of meat products. The butcher area is well maintained. I usually call to place an order for meat/chicken and end up picking it up towards the end of their business hours. I have always seen them cleaning the meat area thoroughly. Their staff is friendly and the owner is open to suggestions and responds well to feedback. Highly recommend this place.

I have been a regular customer of this shop for my halal meat needs.But that is to end now.Today, the guy refused to sell me fresh meat he had on his fridge and told me he has to first sell the old meat from yesterday.Then I accepted to buy the old meat, and ask him to debone the meat, like always. But he said I will charge extra money for the deboning. I told him it wasn’t the case before and you always deboned for me without extra charge; he had nothing to say.I am not sure, but I think the manager has changed and they are going downhill.Update after the owner’s reply: I increased my star to three, just to be fair, because the owner/manager has always been a nice and friendly person. However, my complaints still remain that first why the butcher refused to sell the meat from today, and then why charging extra for just deboning (as far as I now other mediterranean and middle eastern I shop have not increased the prices).To Br Ahmed: I appreciate your reply but I am not convinced. I will be shopping elsewhere.

Since we moved to the area we stopped going anywhere else. We find all what we want and beyond. We don’t miss our home country anymore as we find all the products we want in this wonderful store. All the staff are amazing and so helpful. The store is clean and very organized, we can easily find what we want. The best and freshest chicken, veal, beef and lamb you can find in town. The people who run the store are always friendly, courteous, and helpful. They always have the ingredients that I need but can never find in general grocery stores, and these ingredients are of higher quality than those on Amazon or other online stores.

I have such a hard time finding specialty cut meats and I was able to walk in and immediately pick up a whole rack of beef ribs for such a reasonable price. To say that I am excited is an understatement. I will be coming back — guaranteed.I love finding new little spots that feel like home. (I’m new to this area.) It warms my heart.

I have been a customer of this place for over 2 years and never had a problem untill today. I bought lamb today and after taking it home, I found out it was smelly and part of it gone bad. I brought it back to return and thats when the problem even gotten bigger. The staff were nice but owner of the store resisted returning saying it might have gone bad sitting in your car while knowing that i just bought it 2 hours ago!! The person was even disrespectful complaining and talking in a different language in front of me. He needs customer service 101 and even beyond, this is borderline harrassment!! Never going back to this store!! Contemplating if i should inquire about their saftey record and food permit and write to the county.

This review is LONG over due and my apologies to the owner for taking so long to post it.Last summer, I hosted a large BBQ first birthday party for my daughter. I could not find a caterer in my budget so we decided to prepare the food ourselves. However, making burger paties for that many people is a big job. The folks at MD International Mart were professional, timely, and trustworthy - and the price was right. They made two types of burgers for my family to taste and we chose to have their house kofta kabobs shaped into burger paties. My guests were raving about how delicious the burgers were, and personally, Ive never eaten a tastier burger or kabob.Now that I know I have this business to turn to, Ill be hosting more often in the future!

This store is an excellent source for meat that local grocery stores may not carry. A couple of days ago I bought an excellent leg of lamb. They deboned it for me. The service was polite and welcoming. They had a nice selection of food on their shelves you will not find in the local grocery stores. I will shop here again.

Staff is amiable, skilled enough to peel off the fats on the meat with great patience, very clean store and NO SMELL unlike many other meat stores. Eversince I visited this meat store, I couldnt imagine to buy my meat somewhere else, meat is so scrumptious and tender. I will be the regular customer until I leave this area. This place feels like family. Very clean inside and everyone is so friendly and personable. The meat is high quality, organic options are available and the price is also very reasonable. On my way out I almost always grab other groceries available too.

I hate the fact when you ask for a lot of items and different kinds of meat, the workers start to give you an attitude. Its my hard earning money and Im expecting more friendliness and better customer service when I spend my money. I gave 4 stars because the place is not crowded and you are in and out quickly. Also, the prices are fair for the area.

Great arabian products great hala meat and chickens

Quality of chicken and meat here is OK, but it is over priced, as others have commented too. The low rating is due to their bad customer service. I am willing to pay a bit extra for freshly cut up chicken, rather than buying chicken that has been cut up more than a day ago. The first couple of times they were fine, but last time, they wanted to sell me one day old chicken. I specifically asked if they can give me freshly cut a whole chicken, but they refused to do so, saying that it is their policy to first sell chicken lying in the freezer. I did not buy the chicken and did not go to this place ever since, due to their bad customer service.

This store is my favorite in the area. The halal meat is always fresh and clean. I always find what I’m looking for as other groceries( dates, olives, cheeses, coffee, all kind of goodies... you name it! ) The staff( Ragheb, Ahmed, walid...) is very helpful and welcoming always. Very pleased with their service and store.

Great selection of spices, beans, rice, tea, and many other Middle Eastern ingredients. Very friendly staff, and fairly clean and well organized store, though shop smells weird because of the meat. Five stars if they can fix the smell.

I am seeing the quality of goat meat products declined substantially. I am finding hairs on the meat cubes often since 3 months. Additionally, prices have gone up. I will not be visiting here until the quality resumes.

I have come here a few times now to get some goat meat. They do an excellent job cleaning up the meat and cutting it up into stew sizes. They have a good selection of meat cuts to pick from.But the money is in the trimming of the fat and they do an excellent job at it.They are a tad bit pricier than other stores but they make it up with the good meat quality and cleaning up of the meat.

I wish I could put -5 stars. This guy is a cheat. We asked for lamb meet but he gave us goat meet instead. On the same occasion he charged us for organic chicken but he gave us non-organic chicken. Previously, he charged us for 6 boxes of biscuits that we didn’t order however when we called him he apologized and returned the money back. Make sure u read the receipt and check every single item!

Complete middle eastern store

Good store for basic Middle Eastern food. The pita bread they carry is fresh. They loose a star because some of the brand choices arent top notch (e.g. tehini, black olives). The prices are decent for the area. I havent tried their fresh meats.
