As a wedding photographer, I am not a big fan of this venue. It is old.. yes old.. even front doors are too narrow to carry my equipment into the building. The reception area has super high ceiling and all walls painted dark. Only thing I liked was those spotlights illuminating from the top side of walls. Again, the dining area was too small if there are more than 7 tables. It might be a good venue for a small wedding though.

The Mansion and the grounds themselves are beautiful. However the wedding booking coordinator is rude with an attitude and chip on her shoulder. Not very customer service friendly at all. Or helpful.

I came for one of the specialty teas and it was wonderful. The tea sandwiches and pastries were delicious, as was the tea itself. The presenter telling us about the different kind of chocolates from his shop was informative and entertaining. I was also impressed by the COVID precautions, the spacing to keep people socially distant, the cleaning, the efforts to contact trace, including offering clean pens and keeping used ones separate. The staff all wore masks and gloves and maintained distance, only coming by to replace tea when called over. They really provides a great experience in a space where I felt safe. Thank you!

Always a pleasant visit. Of you are not into the art on display the house is a wonderful experience itself.

We used the outdoor space for a picnic. It was so peaceful that we are going again for my husbands birthday.

Elegant building and grounds set on a hill which at the the time of visit was hosting International Miniature Painting exhibit. Venue is a manor house, not large, but a pleasant and intimate setting. Worth the visit... Check out the the exhibit schedule to find out more about the current presentation. The photo attached is a large metal abstract bear on the landing of the grand staircase.

A really nice small museum, especially if you live in the neighborhood

Strathmore is Montgomery Countys cultural landmark. The modern concert hall has excellent acoustics and runs many interesting cultural events as well as housing music instruction. The Mansion is used for small events, such as pre-concert talks and workshops with visiting artists, as well as outdoor events when weather is nice.

Have had wonderful teas here - before Covid19. Lovely old mansion worth seeing on its own. The museum shop there is excellent too.

This is a bit of an undiscovered treasure. Many come to the Music Center but fail to take advanatge of the intimacy of the Mansion. Seating less than 100 people, one is up close and personal to outstanding musicians and singers. Great variety of talent, all at the highest level. Plus, they usually have interesting art installations for viewing before, during intermission, or after. Great gift shop too

This beautiful mansion has been serving the community for very many years. My wife and her sister had their bat mitzvahs here long ago. We went recently for an exhibit of Montgomery County artists work with a blue theme and were really impressed with the art but also with the staff: We felt very welcome. The gift shop is remarkable in that it is very well stocked with a wide variety of fashions, books, toys and decorations including affordable items for the kids, fine prints and jewelry and scarves. The mansion is clean and well preserved. It has two stories, a lovely staircase and an elevator.

This lovely old mansion houses a unique gift shop and rotating art collections. We went for the Downton Abbey tea. The period music and costumes created an enjoyable afternoon. Teas are catered by Ridgewells so the food was pretty and delicious.

Convenient location, metro accessible. However, flying bugs are terrible 😣 for outdoor concerts. Otherwise great venue, friendly staff.

Sometimes small and intimate is the best for an art experience. The Mansion holds art exhibits and small concerts. I went to hear a Broadway singer and was able to visit the temporary art exhibit right after, all in one evening. Great for a classy date!

Great place for young artists to take their talent to the next level. Strathmore is one of the best things to happen to north Bethesda.

The mansion at strathmore is Performing arts hosting place that has great music concerts. I enjoy coming here on my free time .

Beautiful building with art exhibits worth seeing and other special events

This place is a must-see for anyone living in or near Montgomery County, Maryland. While its not the Kennedy Center of the Sydney Opera House - this is a world class cultural facility right in our own backyard. Something all Marylanders can be proud of, the Strathmore Concert Hall and Mansion are great venues to immerse yourself in history, music, & the arts.

I havent been insidenthe mansion or to shows here, sobthis review pertains to the grounds. Theyre well kept, with interesting sculptures, and Ive never been bothered by staff for walking around the property. If youre a Pokémon Go player, there are 3 gyms and a bunchbof Pokestops on the property.

Great art shows held here in a wonderful old mansion. Also a great gift shop with unusual, beautiful items for sale.

Amazing place. Excellent art on display, featuring desserts. There is a parlor with an excellent Steinway grand piano.

This place has a small exhibit hall. It seems to be known for cimmunity events. On my visit there was a pop up art show for schools and a piano recital.

The Mansion at Strathmore at Rockville, Maryland is a must see when you are on a visit to Washington. I recommend spending a weekend with family and friends.

We heard Robin Steinbergs piano concert. It was a wonderfully intimate setting for a concert.

The Museum Shop Around is held there every year around this time. Its nice, but very crowded.
