The drop off process is quick and easy. They said my meat would be ready in a week, but they had it ready two days later. It was great to have the quick turn around. The meat looks clean in vacuum sealed packages with the burger packaged flat (instead of in round clumps) so its easy to store and easy to defrost. I will use these guys again.
Was very happy with the sausage, processing, and vacuum sealed packaging. It has stayed without frost bite all year!
New to North Texas and after issue with first processor I tried to go to, ended up trying Rockwall. Did take about 2 months but that possibility was communicated. Everyone I worked with was friendly and helpful. Not cheap but that is not necessarily bad. Meat was packaged well and have tried a couple of the types sausage links. So far so good. I would recommend giving them a try.
Does any one sale whole deer meat?
It took awhile for the deer to be processed but after picking up my meat and tasting my dear i am very very happy with them. They vacuum sealed everything and i love the meat choices I picked out. I brought the dear jalapeno summer sausage to work and it is a hit. Good job.
Took longer than expected but well worth the wait . Deer meat my family enjoys . Great flavor and packaging .
Excellent service we have gotten a variety of items from hamburger meat, steaks and sausage.. Their Sausage is excellent.. Our family has dropped of 6 deer this year and service has been quick and timely compared to others we have used in the past. Definitely will use them again..
Great place! Great people! Great price! Had two deer processed shot in two different weeks. I asked if I could pick up both orders at the same time, guess what, I was called and both orders ready at the same time. I will be bringing all my game here for processing that for sure!
I asked to see the way they handle the deer and they had no problem showing me the cooler and how they keep everyones deer separate. Very cool set up and Jordan is very knowledgeable.
Been using this place for 3 or 4 years now, along with NUMEROUS family and friends. This establishment is VERY clean and have friendly people to work with. Meat is always packed neatly, labeled and fresh. Yes, it does take time to get back and the employees were upfront at the time of drop-off on the time frame. Ive had my orders back within 3 to 4 weeks, sometimes sooner. They make sure that each customer gets their own animal back and is NOT bulk processed, like other places, with other peoples animals. Highly recommended!!! You cant go wrong with using Brian & his crew!!
I wish I could give this joke of a place 0 stars. We took our hog meat in and was told 4-6 weeks to get processed. We had planned on having an end of summer BBQ with the meat. 6 weeks went buy and never heard anything, called and was told their person who does sausage isnt working yet because its not deer season yet. Long story short summer was over and didnt have the our BBQ with the meat. 8 weeks go by and called again, talked to Missy again, same story sorry our person who does sausage isnt working since its not deer season yet. Finally got our meat middle of October and we took our meat in in July!! Got our meat and it looked short. Called and spoke to Missy several times and said she would call me back after talking to the owner. Never got a single call back from her to get us money back for the shorted meat! I live an hour and a half away from this joke of a place and told Missy just to refund my money back for the shorted meat which was about 12lbs around $40. I finally said forget this place Missy is never going to call me back and know that his place is a joke at best and will never ever go back. Oh a lot of the meat that we got had freezer burn on it and the vacuumed sealed bags were all loose so I know I got some really old meat and not fresh meat. This place is a rip off, please dont take your expensive meat there because you will be shorted meat, pay full price and probably get old meat out of the owners freezer while he replaces it with your fresh meat.
This is the highest price place in Texas Do not go hear you can have deer process anwere in texas for 100.00 they charded 250.00 for a deer that was quarter up. And ready to cut up Do not go hear
Deer processing- Only took 21 days to get our deer back. We have been using this company for a few years with no problems. This time when I picked up the deer the owner took me for a tour through the facility. It was very clean. Each deer has a tag that follows it through the entire process. They process one deer at a time, which I saw personally one being processed. Every hunter should be confident in knowing they will get their our own hog/deer/ etc. back. The meat was also weighed on the scale and it was complete to order. We will continue to use and recommend this business for processing. Thank you! Todd. Rowlett, TX
Dont use this place. Its a community grind shop. You wont get your same deer meat back when you request ground meat. They also kept most of my back strap. Try using Butchermans Gourmet in Caddo Mills. Small mom and pop shop and get your same meat back quickly.
The people that run this place are very professional. They care about their business and about your business as well. They will go to great lengths to ensure you have a great experience with them and that goes a long way. The pan sausage is pretty dang good too.
Find another place!!!! They don’t know what they are doing. Read the other reviews; I’m not the only one that feels this way. The last straw was when they put a 4 month old rotting dear head in the trunk of my wife’s car. Yes, a full head, never touched since the day I dropped it off.1- I was told 6 weeks for processing. It took 12 before they even called me!2- the links are mediocre at best3- I paid over the phone and I had a friend pick up my order because their hours didn’t work for me. They never gave him the skull cap I paid for.4- I had my wife pick up what was supposed to be a skull cap but instead they put a full 4 month old rotting deer head in her trunk as seen below. It stunk to high heaven as you can imagine. She didn’t know any better. I about blew a gasket when I found out.I didnt ask for a refund for their services I paid for and never received. I didn’t go up there and yell and scream. I just hope that anyone that reads this goes somewhere else with their hard earned money.PS: I just skull capped it myself in the middle of my suburb neighborhood because I didn’t trust them anymore. Had to use a painters mask for the smell.
A great variety of sausages to choose from. Processing takes a bit longer sometimes but you get your deer meat back. They dont mix grind your deer with other deer. They do them one at a time.
Absolutely terrible experience. My deer meat came back with hair in it. My pre-packaged meet were not sealed properly and therefore got freezer burn. Many of my cuts of meat or mislabeled. Not to mention it took almost a year to get my Euro back. I called and explained all of my problems and was promised a phone call from the owner. No one has ever contacted me. If you work very hard to harvest an animal I dont recommend bringing it to this place. It will not be given the same respect you show the animal.
I had a horrible experience. I dropped my young doe off and kept the back strap. When I picked up my deer it had a back strap and weighed more. It tasted like an old buck. I was expecting to get my deer back. I had to call and call to try and get it figured out. Finally they said sorry there’s a mix up that they foundmy deer. Turned out to be a lie and they were going to pass off someone else’s deer to me as mine. I won’t recommend this place to anyone. Horrible service a bad business.
We will not be using your service again. The people working there are very confused and the service is horrible.Despite being overpriced, dont trust your mounts with these people.Paying $180 for basic processing is a rip off. They gave the wrong information to taxidermy and the horns were cut off, that eliminates my uro mount I wanted, the taxidermist says he can fix it, we will see. After all of this, no discount or anything . NEVER AGAIN.
Will never usethis place again. They said it should take 8 wks or so to process 1 pig. 9 wks after pig was dropped off I called to check to see when it would be done. No one seemed to know anything and I was told the butcher was currently processing meat in house that day and it should be done soon. After another 2 wks of waiting, I called AGAIN.... at this point I was told that our pig couldnt be found anywhere. I was then told it was probably accidentally used to make deer sausage. However, they did offer us another pig as a replacement. We declined because it was very well possible that we might be getting someone elses pig.... we had our deposit refunded. Dont recommend and will never use again.
Very good to work with. Reasonable prices.
Outstanding service! Ill be returning.
Look elsewhere! Order was placed 3/18/16. Sign next to the register says 6-8 weeks. Paperwork says 8 weeks. No problem right? Except at 8 weeks when I called to see if the order was ready I was told that it wasnt due to some exotics that had come (excuse #1) in AND they had run out of seasoning (excuse #2). When I asked when it would be ready the guy in the background said, tell him hell get it when its done! Classy. At 10 weeks (5/27/16) I went into the shop and was told only part of the order was ready. Its important to note that the guy checked the freezer twice.Since this was a hog and I could easily shoot another, I asked for a refund and expressed my dissatisfaction with the service. The owner, Bryan, was contacted and wanted to talk with me. Suddenly my order was found and he took offense (actually laughing at me) when I suggested how shady it appeared that suddenly my order was ready. How could I know this was the hog I shot? He asked, Where would I get another pig from? I guess he forgot they are a meat processing service.... and they have a sign that says they sell sausage! Bryan said I needed to understand that we are out of season and things take longer because they arent in full production (excuse #3) He also offered that he owns Envirotech and EnviroAir which have been real busy for him (excuse #4)... Excuses seem to be their M.O. So if youre into excuses, shady practice and uncertain deadlines... this is your go to place!Initially they only would refund part of my deposit (not the processing portion). Stood my ground and they finally refunded the full deposit amount.
I wish I could rate this better but for $300 I would expect at least some Quality control & Customer service. This rating is based on the business and service provided for the price. (The staff members I encountered were all polite and friendly. )Time Management:Called before drop off, was told they were averaging 3 weeks for sausage.Dropped off week before Thanksgiving and waited 8 weeks to get a few packs of sausage.Customer Expectations:I dropped off 128 lbs without head. and received back 40lbs of 50/50 deer/pork sausage and 10 lbs of ground meat, roughly 30lbs of meat back from the buck... Ok, maybe this buck had some thick bones..Quality Control:- When I arrived for pickup I was presented with 1 box and asked to pay. I asked to count it out first because it looked pretty light. Box was only 20 lbs of meat. Seeing that there was quite a bit still missing they went back to the freezer and found the second box.- Labels were missing on half of the packages- 6 of the packages had the vacuum seal broken. I asked if they could reseal them. The gentleman politely resealed them.- Some labels incorrect. 3 packages of Hot links were labeled German Sausage a big deal when cooking for toddlers.- Backstrap quality & size looked as if someone hacked this thing up with a dull knife and threw the rest with the grind. I asked to have the Backstraps packaged separately. I recieved 2 packages 5 X 3.Im used to getting at least 12 off of does so seeing 5 from this Buck was a bit upsetting.Sausage Quality:- 4 packages in and the salt levels seem much higher than last years.- The quality of the 2016 sausage was the reason I came back for a second try (even though I waited 8 weeks last year as well). This time around the sausage was not near as good.Oh well, live and learn. water under the bridge. Guess Im embarrassed I got fooled again.Im much better off going elsewhere or spending the money on a good grinder & stuffer.
