A bit pretentious, home made acoustics sound a bit Mid-rangy for 4k+. the shop was small, miss the old location.

Very awesome and friendly family owned shop. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped me pick my guitar. I received a card for 2 free lessons with my purchase as well! They were so accommodating that when I asked about a guitar stand that wasnt in stock, they offered the one they use in their shop. Unbelieveable service you wont find anywhere else!

They have some very nice guitars there. They were of a great quality. I went in to get a tuner and I did, but they showed me a nice guitar that I plan on getting. I highly suggest this shop for your guitar needs.

Dropped two acoustic guitars off to have set up (1 regular and one 12 string). One of them needed a little more work than the other.Both of them came back flawless. Great job thanks

Dropped off my American Strat to have set-up and was asked if I want new strings . I responded yes, when I went to pick up they did NOT charge me for new strings, but put new ones on. I told the owner they did not charge me enough he said it wasnt on the work ticket so I am not going to charge you . Now thats treating your customers right ! By the way, the Strat plays like butter !

This is where you need to come to get the right answers to your guitar questions. The shop moved from the I30 location, and I was really sad about that and had to go to Guitar Center for a while 😢, but I just found them at their new location just off the square in downtown Rockwall, and just in time to help me with a cool Taylor 12-string I just inherited.

It is an amazing guitar store because its just you and the owner, it makes things feel more personal, you pretty much feel like your at home

Update: Brett Morrison gave me a call. He apologized for the misunderstanding and valued my business. Morrison Guitars does not specialize in scratch repair. Because of the misunderstanding he agreed to have another one of my instruments set up for half the cost. These guys care about you and they’ll make it right. If I buy a high end acoustic in the future it will be from Morrison Guitars.Let me first start by saying this is a great. place. The store is run by a father and son. That’s a plus I like supporting local businesses. The staff is friendly and there’s an awesome selection on equipment. I live in Greenville so having a shop closer than Dallas that has Collins guitars is pretty neat. Unfortunately I cannot give this place a good review. I took my Gibson guitar in to be set up and serviced. The father that is part owner of the store quickly told me the scratch on the headstock that I was concerned with could be taken care of. When I came back to pick up my guitar the scratch had not been addressed. Everything else about my instrument was good to go. It played fine and was clean and well taken care of. When I asked his son (guitar tech) about it he said he wasn’t comfortable working on Gibson finishes and that I could polish on it myself with Novus plastic scratch remover. The tech is a good guy and builds quality custom guitars. However, I don’t pay professionals to do 80% of a job and for myself to do the last 20%. I should have been told this before I committed to their service. Look, it’s a scratch on my guitar. It isn’t that noticeable it’s a minor thing I get it. Guitars get scratched. After this experience though I don’t trust Morrison Guitars with my business. None of us are perfect and we’re all learning along the way. It is how we respond to problems that defines us. I want to support this store and give them another chance but for right now I’m going to drive to Dallas to have my work done. I was in a hurry and was tired and frustrated so I did not say anything at the time. If Morrison Guitars cares about my business please leave a response.

Locally owned, custom made guitars, some accessories new and used guitars friendly service. I like to be able walk into a local store and purchase strings when I happen to break one or just want to change gauges. Much better than waiting for Amazon to arrive as they take a cut from the supplier. it is like Walmart once they starve the small businesses to death they are the only game in town and that sucks. if the Banksters would loan everyone in the same manner there may be competition. Capitalism is a very different animal today in fact I dont believe it exists.

Excellent store nice selection, not any junk. They refretted my Martin and it now plays better than new. I will go there again.

Terrible customer service. I went in for a repair, when I questioned their work they questioned my ability to play guitar. The clerk then began to tell me he was sorry but the technician was having a bad day. Not a place I would spend my money ever again.

Pretty good local shop ive gon in and bought a few times from these guys. they are pretty good at helping you figure out wat you need but kinda rude sometimes, not rude but just not really trying to help a lot they will help for a minute but then they move on. they are really smart about guitars they answer my questions but they dont fo out of the way to help if they are not rite there they will just wait for you to come to them so if you are already knowing what you want and need they are good but if you need more help just make sure u ask or else they wont really help.
