As i pulled into work, Had a big piece of metal stuck in my tire and it was leaking fast ...after driving to the two nearest auto shops on detroit road in Rocky river and being told no they dont have enough time..i was desperate as i didnt wanna come outa work to deal with a flat at 10pm...my boss referrd me to Darren at river automotive and he had me back on the road in less than 5mins understanding my minor inconvenience as a big deal...after being denied at other shops in the area in a urgent emergency for a job that takes less than 2mins..Darren and his staff showed compassion and im grateful and appreciative for that..in the future they will get my bussiness for that alone, i highly recommend river automotive!

I had a whirring sound that I didnt know what was -- frankly Darren didnt either. But he researched it and discovered it was under warranty. He had already ordered the part, but made all the calls, suggested a free towing service ( because he didnt think it was safe to drive) . Although Darren didnt do the work, he couldnt have been more fair and kind. I paid him for his time because nobody should have to work for free. He has earned my business and my recommendations.

I have been taking my familys vehicles to River Automotive now for several years. Darin and his staff have been nothing but professional!!They do timely, high quality work at a fair price.

I took my truck there to fix the power steering not only did they not fix it. They made it even worse. If I could give 0 stars I would. They even threatened to get my truck towed away because I was busy with work and couldn’t find time during the week to come get it. So unprofessional it’s not even funny. So many times in my life I wish I could just quit on something I couldnt do. So if you’re looking for that these are your guys...

Darren, the owner of River Automotive, is the most honest, competent, and all-around best mechanic I have ever met. He fixes the issue at hand and never looks for problems only to unnecessary upsell a customer to make more money. He has been working on all of my cars since 2009. His prices are always reasonable, and his work is quality. I have referred many people to him over the years, and all of them are happy with his work. The man at the counter was so rude to a customer because he needed to use the restroom. The customer was an elderly gentleman and was using the restroom and the employee was talking loudly about it while my husband and I we’re sitting in the waiting area. The elderly gentleman came out and the employee kept saying rude, inappropriate things about him. The elderly man had on a mask ( as required). I will NEVER come to this establishment again. Word of mouth is the best advertisement!
