Its a great place to play board games, magic, pokemon and other things. You can buy cards there and hang out with you friends and family.
I was disappointed by this shop. I am from out of town, just looking around at local shops. And photos of the store are very misleading. First photo visible on google maps has a citadel paint stand. Thats exactly what I was searching for. So going in willing to drop some money for a couple of lots of paint. Not the case. No paints whatsoever.Looks like they just moved or downsized. I dont know, but you should update so as to not mislead as too your stock. Found a limited selection of Wizkid Miniatures. So I still left with something I like. But not what I needed.
Friendly owner and overall great local place! I wished I lived in NWA so I could come back often :)
Pretty much just MTG. Other than that there is a very tiny selection of dnd books (like 5) and a few miniatures
Theyre always knowledgeable about their products and i always have my questioms answerred
This place seems nice. The employee was friendly and they have all kinds of board games. If you need anything magic card related this seems like it would be the place to go on this side of town. If youve been to small game stores you probably have an idea of what is here. They also have people that meet on certain days to play certain games. No video games appeared to be sold here.
First of all there is no sign. I didnt know if I was at the right place. Second, the website says they carry Yugioh cards, but when I asked at the store the man said they didnt carry any at all.
I went there and it was amazing they had everything I need to run a good D&D game and amazing amount of Magic The Gathering. They had great knowledge of the place and next time I go there I will bring my friend there. 100/10 👌👌
If you want to play magic the gathering this store is the most friendly and welcoming of all the shops around. Events are well organized with good payout. Would highly recommend.
Went in there in person and often call over the phone; they always have been able to either guide me in the right direction. Even taking the extra mile and reserving large orders over the phone after getting to know them well, they have always presented themselves as helpful first and friends since the very first time I stepped in the door. 5/5 because they have always done right by me and others as well.
Their cards are so well organized. They can tell you right away if they have what you need. They grab what you need and you dont have to search through anything. Friendly and easy going.
Great shop! Great people that own and work there! Really enjoy everyone that plays here! I guess my only wish would be that they had music playing on low volume haha
I went to your store and you seem to have a fair amount of product. No one greeted me or my daughter or even acknowledged that we existed. You should really work on your customer service skills and get more product and have board games and card games that people can try to see if they want to buy them. Not sure if I will be back for the only Game store in town... YOU SUCK. Sorry that is my opinion.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great inventory. Even has game tables to play games, like Magic, DnD, and Warhammer 40k, on. Lots of fun.
Really bad service. Was with a couple of friends and didnt feel welcomed. They didnt have anything that we wanted because it was out of stock. Came back two weeks later and they were still out of stock. Never coming back. Go find another game store.
Best gaming store in the area. Lots of cool stuff with a welcoming environment. I only wish I had more time to hang out and get to know more of the gamers/associates there.
As with any FLGS these days, if you like M:TG youre set, as thats where the money is. RPGS, not so much. No organized play for D&D, or Pathfinder, and a sparse, but not totally anemic selection of manuals and figurines. Decent amount of boardgames though.
The shop made a good first impression. It has a variety of expansions and pieces for card, tabletop, and board games, and there are tables for those who wish to sit and play. I was dissapointed, however, that the only way to access the bathroom was through a very messy backroom, and the man at the counter (who I was later told was the owner) was very rude and impatient whenever we wanted to buy stuff or ask him questions. During my couple of hours there I saw several would be customers walk out due to his disinterest in assisting them. While this shop does have a decent, albeit small, variety to choose from, if you want to do anything there that involves speaking to someone at the counter be prepared to be brushed off and treated in an unwelcome manner.
Games and miniatures and more and helpful 👍👍
They have the same stock that theyve had since they were in Frisco Mall and havent bothered to buy anything new it seems. Everything is cheaper online and you wont have to smell the owners armpits in the summer if you just dont go in there.
Great place. Just recently got into MtG, and the staff has been so helpful and generous. I look forward to more game nights there.
They had the game I wanted at a good price
Has some stuff but isnt very helpful. The collection of Magic Cards seems to be pretty solid especially if you are interested in high dollar foils but the commons and uncommons and non foil rares feel to be hit or miss. The store can be difficult to locate because of the tiny sign on the building and the overall feel when dealing with staff is an poor experience.
Friendly owner. Answered questions very well. Sticks to roots of the gaming community. Great first time visit!
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the turnout for FNM is usually very solid. The selection of products is varied and includes role-playing books and guides, comics, and tabletop miniature game supplies, but the main offering is the selection of Magic cards. The prices are fairer than most in the area, and they refuse to go above MSRP on any sealed product. The only complaint that I can think of is the parking lot, and thats a minor issue at worst. I highly recommend checking it out.
The gentleman behind the counter was very knowledgeable, the prices are respectable, and everything is easy to find. Definitely my new gaming destination.
Great selection. Great prices. Huge variety of MTG booster packs.
Air conditioned, standard tables, next to food, snacks available. Great/knowledgeable owner.
Shannon has a vast knowledge of all things nerdy. Almost always has the cards Im looking for when I go in. Prices are average and the table space is great.
Looks like a cool place with a lot of stuff for any card game but yugioh! Really disappointed. Wal-Mart offers more options
Legit place with the best selection of MTG in NWA. The side that works there is cool and helpful
Took my son and is friend in to acquire some Magic cards. Guy wouldnt get up from his TV in the back to greet us or help us. My sons friend finally asked for help. He begrudgingly got up and helped. Pretty sure it was the owner. Same guy that was in the news paper clipping hanging up about the opening of the store. I would not let my son spend a dime. It seemed like an inconvenience to the store for us to be there so we went to a shop in Fayetteville instead. Other than the terrible customer service, pretty neat store.
Was in there a little while ago with my brother. Place seemed sketchy before we walked in the door, and confirmed within a minute. Guy wouldnt get up from behind the counter for anything. Place had a bad odor, merchandise was limited, most of the stuff felt like it came second hand from somewhere else, and there was junk everywhere. I asked him if they just opened from the mess everywhere and he said theyd been open for months.I doubt the owners gonna read this but get your act together dude. I swore I would never go back for any reason.
My son recently got into MtG so I have been checking out local places. I have been to this store before, they have a decent albeit small selection of rpg and tcg stock. The entire time that we were waiting to purchase something the man behind the counter was talking to couple other guys about patreon or backer rewards for something. I guess they were brainstorming ideas (the other fellows had their kids left unchecked who kept harassing my younger son - but that is no fault of the shop. This conversation went on for at least 20 minutes until I finally put back my selections and had given up- I will just order on amazon.I saw at least 2 other people spend their entire visit looking, waiting at the counter, and then leaving without word one said.Bottom line if you need something today then you can probably go here. However you better know where/what it is and be ready to interrupt to try to get some attention.I will week out other local shops in the area.
Friendly owner. Good prices. Big selection.
Misleading pictures.
Cool place. I was looking for dice, and they have a small selection there.
One of the Best Magic the Gathering places in a 200 mile radius. Knowledgeable staff and a good games selection.
Tried to check this place out on a Sunday. The doors were locked up tight, even though the hours are listed as 12-6pm. No signs up saying why, nor are their hours posted on the door.
Went by your store yesterday (saturday) with my wife and two daughters to buy all the items needed to start playing D&D with some friends. We went inside, looked around for the D&D stuff and found it after about 5 minutes. We were looking at the dice etc while we waited to be helped. We didnt see anyone at the counter, so we waited patiently and just test-rolled different dice in the mean time. After about another 5 minutes or so, I walked around to see if I could find someone. I saw someone in the back on a computer and talking on the phone. I looked at him, he looked at me, and he carried on with his phone conversation. I walked back to my family and waited another a while longer. During this last bit of time I had a chance to go online and look at other dice, manuals/kits, and other stores in the area that I could visit.Look, I know as gamers we can tend to be introverted, or busy doing more important things rather than socializing. Also, Im not saying I am demanding immediate service or anything of that nature. But, here you have people coming into your store and they get 0 help. I didnt know exactly what I was looking for, and didnt even know what all I needed to get started in my families quests inside the world of D&D. I would really have appreciated some helpful advice and all of the items needed for my family to enjoy this, but instead I stood there looking at things I wanted to buy behind a glass case with no one there to help me or to talk to me about what all I needed.I knew this quest in getting into the world of D&D would be an adventure, but I guess now well be adventuring next week to Fayetteville to another store who will (hopefully) help their potential customers. There was some nice red dice inside of that glass case that my wife wanted to have for her character, and I really like the metal ones but I guess Ill just have to find those sets online somewhere. Because there no way I would support a local business who didnt even care enough to ask How may I help you?
Had no inventory, not many singles, the owner smelled like he hadnt showered in a month, wasnt friendly at all, dont waste ur time there n u can buy same stuff cheaper online n at other gamer stores. Im a serious gamer but will never go there a again
A tabletop store done right. Plenty of free gaming tables, including a Warhammer setup. Weekly Pokemon and MtG nights, extensive role playing books, comic wall, snacks, and tabletop games you wont find in a big box store.
Have gone a few times. Each time I have gone I get worse and worse services at this place. Went today and he was not open at 12 as stated. Had 2 workers and the owner doing something inside. Saw us standing at the other and went back to what ever they were doing. NO sign or anything stating they were not open that day, and would not come to the door to say anything as well. Think that will be my last visit to this shop.
Happily answered questions I had about building a Magic deck, very knowledgeable.
Best place Ive visited in NW Arkansas so far!
Great place to buy and play Pokémon and other trading card games. Not always the easiest place to find the cards because most of those things are behind the counter on the wall but always fun to play when the Pokémon league happens on Wednesday.
Great place to have fun magic the gathering on friday and Pokemon on Wednesday
Very nice local card game shop offering a large variety of products and great service.
Love gaming w my pals their!
When Gamer Utopia was in the Frisco Mall, it was hands down the place to shop for all your gamer needs. I recently visited the area they moved to and was in awe as to the condition of this place and the severe lack of inventory. The place was in array, there is junk piled upon junk behind the counters, no miniatures, paints brushes and hardly any gaming books. Its a sliver of what it used to be. The employee there was not helpful and when i asked if they still carried any paints, or brushes he said sorry we discontinued all business with GW. --thats it. I wont be going back to a room of junk and tables. I dont know what else to say... see it for yourself..
Shannons shop a.k.a gamer utopia is awesome...... I was recently introduced to magic and was not all that interested until I played a prerelease at gamer utopia..... the atmosphere of the store combined with the willingness of the owners to explain some of the finer points of the game have made me a magic junkie! See you at the next pre-release.
Great place to buy singles and play MTG!
Not bad of a store, just wish there was alot of Yu-Gi-Oh players. They do sell some of the cards but not a lot cause they barely get any Yu-Gi-Oh players.
Layout is a bit weird and the customer base is small but I see potential, in all honesty the owner has been super helpful and pretty fair with prices.
The owner can seem a bit harsh by in the end he is still a caring guy. His store is well set up and comfortable enough to hold the groups that sometimes flood the store. Amongst the event here some are Warmachine/Hordes, Magic The Gathering, and even role-playing group can be found here. Other than videogame, this place has a everything a replayer, boardgamer, and miniature gamer needs to have a fun filled day.
This place is the best and only game store around here
Great store and great staff
I walked into the store yesterday around 5:00 to pick up an expansion pack for Cards Against Humanity to take to a New Years Eve get together. Since I didnt know where they would be, I walked directly to the counter, using my power of vocal communication, I called out to the gentleman sitting at the computer. I will summarize our conversation here by paraphrasing:Me: Good day sirHim: Good day to you too, my fine fellow! How may I help you this evening?Me: I seek expansion packs for Cards Against Humanity, do you happen to have any here in your shoppe? Perhaps in the storeroom?Him: I am sorry to say we do not. The supply of them has been quite taxed and replenishment of our stores has been disrupted due to the holiday season.Me: Quite disappointing.Him: Yes, quite.Me: Oh well, nothing to be done for it, I suppose. If you dont mind, I shall peruse your wares.Him: Just so, please do!I then continued to walk to the other side of the shop where the bookshelves are and began to browse. I noticed a bewitching young lady helping another customer, and thought that I would see if she could offer me some assistance when she was done with that guy. When she was finished helping him, she promptly asked if there was anything she could help me find. Again, I will summarize the conversation:Me: Good evening, mlady. Her: GRAND evening, isnt it? The chilly air and the smell of Chickn Quick on the breeze make me believe in magic on days like this!Me: Quite so! I am attending a gathering tonight, and would like to purchase a game of merriment that is not terribly time consuming or difficult to understand. Pray, might you have something like this? Her: Oh yes sir, allow me to show you this card game.At this point, she began to explain the variations of the Munchkin card game. My mind was spinning as I listened to her voice and maintained a respectful amount of eye contact. The game sounded great, precisely what I was shopping for! I picked up the standard Munchkin box and thanked her for the time she spent explaining it to me. We parted ways, and I finished browsing through the Warhammer and Star Wars miniatures. When I was ready to pay and exit the store, she was at the register helping another customer with his purchase, and the first gentleman was still sitting at the computer, I could tell that he was busy with inventory or product research. After the customer in front of me paid for his items and left, the young woman left the cash register area, so I filled the time by looking at the D20s and other items at the counter. When she came back to the counter, she had a box. I finished browsing the counter area and walked to the register. At this point, she really earned the review that I left for the store. As I approached the register, she picked up the box and offered to show me how the Munchkin game worked. She spent five minutes dealing cards to me and to herself, going over the various options presented by the cards, and describing how the gameplay cycles were carried out. During the course of this, the gentleman at the computer was helpful and engaged in some refinement of her explanation. She answered some final questions that I had lingering from our previous conversation and then I paid for my items.I then wished them a good night, a Happy New Year, and I exited the store. This experience was very pleasant and I will definitely return to this store should my quests bring me back in need of any gaming items.
The place is awesome and great staff
Staff feels like youre inconveniencing them by wanting to give them your money.
Based on the rude phone etiquette, bad customer service, and poor selection of merchandise I opted to go a different direction for my board game and RPG needs.
Shelves are somewhat sparsely populated, store is heavily geared towards Magic. Lots of play room for that and/or board games. Has monthly board game days.
A great, understated, local gaming store.
Was there today, said they were open today (Sunday) but they were closed... heart breaking first impression.
Very helpful owner nice collection
Great magic the gathering destination
Rude and unhelpful staff. Very much a figure it out yourself attitude.
Havent been there
I hang here all the time!
Live the game selection
Friendly staff. Still moving in so not a whole lot of items yet.
Staff didnt acknowledge me. Why is a gamer store selling litter box scoops? No focus on merchandise
Friday night magic!
