I actually had quite a different experience than the one other review on this site. I knew that Rome Electric was not the place to shop small items like a pool pump, broken baby motor, what have you. Now, when it comes to that in which they ACTUALLY do business, they are MARVELOUS!!I needed something along the lines of a 250 horsepower motor with some very serious modifications - I dont really understand the mechanics of electric motors, but Rome Electric certainly does. Bill, the salesman that helped me find a replacement for the motor I needed, was both a pleasure to work to work with, and he also got my new motor to me MUCH faster than I anticipated.When it comes to trouble with your pool pump, dont call Rome Electric. If you need help with something of a march larger magnitude, however, Rome Electric will ALWAYS be my first call!

Purchased a 1 HP motor to replace a similar motor on my table saw. The new motor the salesman, Jerry, sold me overheats and trip the circuit breaker every few minutes. I was not told at the time of purchase that there is no return or exchange on motors once they have been run. Upon explaining that the motor they sold me was not doing the job of the previous motor, I was informed of their not return/no exchange policy and refused help of any kind. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!
