The gentleman who worked this service station were extremely accommodating and quite honest much to my surprise. Being a woman you always question if you’re possibly being ripped off at a certain business that you may not have knowledge of. When it came to my getting brakes that I thought I might possibly need, the gentleman who inspected my car came out to advise me that I did not need that service yet, and that I could go a little bit further without repairing the brakes which of course as you know can be a considerable amount of money. I was very surprised of the honesty and integrity of this place of business. What that did for me and for that business means that I am confident now to come back there and it boosts They are known level of integrity. I will definitely be using this place of business in the future.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This place is run by a disingenuous hack. Brought my daughter’s Jeep into the place to get checked out for the engine dying when the car is idle at traffic lights. She’s been experiencing it for days. We brought it in this morning and then we received a call from the shop owner later In the afternoon who claimed that he ran the car for over 20 minutes on two separate occasions, for a total of forty minutes and he claimed that the car was running flawlessly (complete lie), I’m convinced that the man never bothered to leave his shop. He suggested that we get a “tune-up” for $475.00, which we agreed to do. We paid the man and left the shop, and I kid you not, 3 miles later, the Jeep breaks down in the middle of Smithtown Blvd during prime time traffic. But this time around, we couldn’t get the car to start back up. We called him 5 minutes after leaving his place, informing him about the situation and he had the audacity to ask if we desired some assistance. He didn’t assure us that he was coming to get us, he expected us to pay an additional towing fee. This dude should not be trusted.

Was in a crunch finding a tire before my trip the next day. They were so helpful, got my tire from the warehouse and got it done quickly. Kenny was super sweet and made our wait actually fun for a mechanic shop lol. My son left saying “that guy was really nice “.And I left thinking how I’d use them for any future car problems.

Not knowing too much about cars finding a reliable mechanic is very tough... Went there with a noise in my exhaust system, Kenny was very friendly and took my car right in and even showed me and educated me what’s going on with my exhaust and I got a warranty on everything they did! Worth every dollar spent. Highly recommend them!

Came in because my car was making strange noises only to find out (thankfully) I only needed an oil change. The mechanics made me feel dumb for not knowing this. I came in for my brakes they were making an noise. and I did not know what was the problem why they were making noise and the mechanic that works their Kenny and Chris showed me what was the noise. and that my breaks were really low to the point they was almost no pad left. they were very informative and knowledgeable within an hour my car sounded like brand new again. thank you so much for all your help Kenny and Chris. I will be coming back for any future problems with my car :)

Even though the customer service was very good, I left and within 10 minutes all my tps sensor lights came on. They were never switched to the new wheels so now I have go somewhere else and have it redone the right way. So I was charged 100 dollars for a job that was done improperly

They have been nothing but good to me. I’ve been coming here for years since I was 18 ( I’m 30) Any obstacle I have came across with my truck they had always find a way to help and fix the problem in a timely fashion. From oil changes, inspections, tune up and replacing my radiator and cooling system. They always had my best interests at heart and safe for my son. Kenny and the mechanic go beyond expectations and I am so grateful.

Stopped by for an oil change, was greeted by the nicest man, Kenny. Took my car to the back immediately. I was definitely in good company. Kenny kept me entertained, and laughing all while working. Service is great. Prices are fair. Mechanic was great (didnt get his name) I ended up needing a new filter for the AC. No one has ever checked that for me. He was able to replace it the same day. I was in, and out of there.

I have been going here for over 15 years. New guys were there this time around. Unfortunately and hours worth of exhaust work was much more expensive then I could have imagined or ever paid in the past for much more work performed. I don’t like to complain but once I got home I still had to adjust mufflers myself to level them and even had an exhaust leak that was supposed to be fixed... Im sorry to say I’m not confident to return in the future, and will looking into a new shop for basic maintenance.

Was greeted by Kevin and was told he would call me before he did anything on my car. Within 10 minutes I received a phone call with the problem and an hour later I was able to pick up my car. I would definitely recommend this shop. Very friendly and my muffler came with a guarantee which made me feel a lot better.

Car started to sputter and misfire and my smooth running car sounded like a big diesel truck with no muffler. I thought it might be an exhaust problem..went to Meineke. It needed a coil pack. They fixed it.. it runs like new again!!

Very unprofessional and very rude. Charged me almost $1000 and still didn’t fix the problem. They had my car 2 full days and check engine light went on after I picked it up. Brought it right back and they said I would have to leave it with them. YOU ALREADY HAD IT 2 FULL DAYS AND CHARGED ME A FORTUNE AND STILL DIDNT FIX IT. Then I’m told it’s probably the timing chain. Are we guessing here? Let’s just keep charging people until we get it right? These people are crooks. They are nasty. And on a side note they don’t wear masks. None of them.

I drive a 2007 Chrysler 300, I try to keep my car in the best possible looking & running condition as I possibly can. Sometimes mechanically that’s not always the situation. My check engine light had come on a couple of months ago and I found out that the 3 codes that caused the light to come on were due to an”Evap leak”. I was really dreading getting it taken care of because I feared that it would cost a a lot of money to get it fixed. I made an appointment for 9am on Monday April 5th. The manager greeted me with a pleasant “Hello” and asked how he could be of service. I explained to him about the check engine light and the codes and my car was brought into the shop right away and up on the lift in no time. Two of the mechanics I believe their names are Jay and Alan and even the manager who I had come to find out his name is Singh were under the car looking for the cause of “Evap leak”. In less than the amount of time that it is taking me to write this review they were able to pinpoint the culprit, it was a bad flex pipe. Singh even told me that he would NOT be charging me the small diagnostic fee because they found the issue so quickly. Yes you read that correctly, he wasn’t gonna take extra money out of my pocket!!! Anyway the flex pipe was replaced and the codes were cleared then it was my turn to do some “work” of my own. I needed to drive the car 50 miles for the computer to reset itself or possibly have the check engine light come back on. I was praying that it wouldn’t and thankfully it didn’t!!! I returned to the shop and was able to receive my new inspection sticker!!! Listen I’m just an ordinary guy just like most of you but I wasn’t treated like an ordinary guy. I had a very pleasant experience today thanks to the really nice guys at the Ronkonkoma Meineke Car Care Center located at 458 Portion Road. Now of course I did have to pay for the new Flex Pipe and the “labor” to have it installed and also the $37 inspection fee. But I did get a 1 year warranty and I have a new attitude towards mechanics because some of them actually are HONEST!!! I Highly recommend bringing your car here for your repairs because if I ever need any more work done on my car again I know I will!!!

I brought my car in for an oil change and a check engine light. I was able to get the car looked at within the half hour that I called and asked for an available time. The price was way lower than I expected and I was genuinely happy with my experience. This place was recommended to me and Im glad I listened. Ill definitely be back and will be telling my family/friends to come here!

Very expensive 200.00 for 15 minutes labor no parts. Very nice people?

This shops always do good job but always charges so much money and they don’t take coupons I was there for small hole in my exhaust and it took Les then half hour to do the job they charged me for 1 hour Labor and adds all the other stuff that they put on the bill came out to more then 240$ for a very small job!

It was nice and quick took about 25 minutes.

Kenny and his team helped me get back on the road in a timely fashion and at a fair price.

Not good paid for what I thought was rotors and pads to find out they only did pads. I recommend pep boys or any other repair center. The manager got irate and told me if we went to court his lawyer would make me look foolish.

It’s fine. I’d appreciate if staff and patrons learned how to wear masks during a global pandemic . That’d be nice.

They broke my engine cover told me they would order new or used told them great, never ordered went back and said how about oil change, ends up the piece used cost 56$ and figured oil change and tire rotation would be equal in price as piece, he wanted to charge me for tire rotation been going their for more than 15 years, today was my last job to be done and said no and just left, very disappointed indeed

Vehicle inspection, professional, polite, honest

Last week I decided to try a new Meineke instead of the patchogue shop I had been using for years due to it being closer to my new house. After requesting my normal oil change with a tire rotation and balance which I do normally every oil change. I was talked out of doing the tire rotation and balance which I normally do and was advised it was not necessary. Due to it being early in the morning and not living far away I did the shop a favor and I told them to take their time and give me a call later when the oil change is done. Their second mechanic had not arrived and they had a previous appointment and the gentleman needed to wait for his car to be done with no other options.To my surprise on my 2019 car FWD mind you I recieved a call about 2 hours later asking if I had a pad slam done on my car as my REAR rotors were in horrible shape and I only had about 15% life left on my REAR pads, I was a bit taken back and said I never had any brake issues or brake replacement done since my car is about 1.5 years old with 90% highway miles on off peak hours so no stop and go traffic. I took the shops word for it and purchased my rear pads and rotors.Fast forward to today I went to one of my closest friends to change my pads and rotors (Master certified mechanic for Mercedes benz, Ford and Toyota). After removing the D/S rear tire we saw a normal looking rear rotor with no notable wear or anything out of the ordinary. We checked out the pad which looked new in terms of pad life with at least 80% pad depth compared to my newly purchased pads. Still not doubting the shop after using Meineke for years and years I didnt want to believe they had steered me wrong, so we checked the other side assuming maybe one of the pads or rotors were defective and had notable damage on one side. After removing the next tire these were the same as the D/S with no issues to note. Front pads and rotors were also fine.To top it off when I picked the car up the owner or at least who I believe is now the new owner of at least the patchogue shop and the ronkonkoma shop was there, he made it a point to reiterate to me how bad my brakes were and that it was very important that they get changed. This now being 2 separate shop workers including the mechanic who saw the brakes and rotors and decided that they needed to be changed immediately. Unfortunately now my trust in Meineke is lost. I never make reviews but I needed to make this known to hopefully at least save someone else some money look for yourself do some research and or get a second opinion always.-Shawn

Ive been a customer since 2007 and this particular location has always fulfilled my cars servicing needs. Kens a good manager who I enjoy conversing with when I take my car in for servicing. Meinekes the place for me for my exhaust system servicing and general repairs!

The oil change was quick enough but they left grease stains all over my passenger seat.

They were overbooked but still managed to get to my car quickly and identify that another mechanic hadnt put the bolts back in one of my calipers. As someone who doesnt know much about cars, I was worried that anywhere I went with my car trouble might try to rip me off but these guys were very generous and considerate. They were genuinely glad that they were able to help before something serious could have happened.

Had a bad grinding noise from my brakes. They were able to see me the same day and had it repaired quickly.

Went to replace my 2 mufflers in my challenger with 2 dynomax turbo mufflers I bought online. They did it pretty quickly as I had no appointment which was nice but they charged me $300

This place has terrible customer service. I called at around 10 AM and told them I had an exhaust leak and asked when I could come in for a free estimate. They told me to come in at 12:30. I get there at 12:30 and I tell him why I’m there and he says huh that’s not correct. Then says I don’t know who told you that you could come in now but it wasn’t me. (With a smirk on his face) Then he proceeds to say “you have to talk to me when you call” . Like what?? I’m calling your shop and I have to make sure I’m talking to the right person to make an appointment?? No dude you guys are just unorganized af and this is literally the second time I tried to get my car looked at by y’all and guess what it still hasn’t been looked at. Off to Midas it is I guess.... don’t waste your time here. Used to be a good place

One star because I cant give no stars. I scheduled an appointment for a state inspection this morning. When I arrived the man who runs the counter said that two people had called in sick and he only had one person working. While I was understanding of his situation, I kindly requested that I be seen first. I had a scheduled appointment, I had indicated that I needed to wait with the car, and there were clearly no other customers waiting. He stated that it wouldnt be fair to the other customers and that he couldnt accommodate. When I pointed out that no other customers were waiting he stated that he didnt know I was coming. When I reminded him that I had already indicated I had a previously scheduled appointment, he shrugged at me. I again pointed out that there were no other customers waiting for their vehicles, that they had all dropped them off and left, he again just shrugged his shoulders at me. I was a long standing customer of Meineke and have been to several locations across Long Island. It has been a while since I have needed a vehicle serviced but was optimistic in returning as a customer. I will never go to a Meineke again thanks to this incredible lack of service and clear display that this individual could not possibly care less about his customers and losing them.

Horrible customer service. I brought my car for a simple inspection. Even though I had an appointment at 10.00, they still haven’t even looked at my car an hour later. At 12.00 they call to let me know my rear window was too tinted. They haven’t even looked at my car (when I picked up my car it was parked on the same spot in the street plus they didn’t even ask where I parked it or what the number plate was) so it was pretty obvious they were just too busy and wanted to get rid of us. The tint of the rear window is actually in compliance with the NY State Law (as confirmed by the DMV website and other car shops).

I have been a customer for years with 3 cars in my household. With the new people in new management it’s a mess. I clearly told them not to rotate my tires twice because an issue with goodyear new tires were installed. I said leave them as is but unfortunately they don’t follow instructions and I am very upset with this management.

Made appointment for NY state inspection. They decided to not even look at my car until 2 hours after the appointment was supposed to be conducted. After those 2 hours they called and told me I could not have my vehicle inspected due to tint on the rear windows being to dark, even though they are within regulation and have passed previous inspections. The people working here are incompetent and I would not recommend their service to any one. They are lucky I do not report this behavior to the NY state DMV to revoke their license of inspection.

I made an appointment online at 7:30 am for same day service. I show up at 11:55 am and tell the manager Im here for my 12 oclock appointment. He asks me if I did the appointment online. I responded yes. He tells me that online appointments go to the North Carolina office and that there are a few cars ahead of me. When I ask how long? He tells me 30-45 minites. I was going to work and scheduled accordingly. Now you lost a customer and have another bad review. Way to take care of the customer.

Brought my car in for a simple oil change. Ever since everytime I start up my car it’s been making a loud sound. Took it to my mechanic and he said my oil was basically black and he doesn’t think they even changed the oil. Subpar service, don’t bring your vehicle here.

It took a little longer than I anticipated. In the past it was a much more speedy process. But in the end it was completed..

After a year of taking my car to this shop for oil changes and enjoying the nice people here- the love affair is over. I called two weeks ago asking how much it would cost to install some new brakes and rotors on my car, I made it explicitly clear that I wanted to install my own parts. The gentleman confirmed it would be $94.60 for each hour of labor and it would be one hour for the front and one hour for the back. I then called back once I got the parts and confirmed with the gentleman who answered that it would be 2 hours of labor at $94.60 per hour and $40 for an inspection. I go in this morning to confirm what I was there for and I handed the front desk person a coupon for $20 off a $200 service, he then tells me he cant honor the coupon because Im not buying my parts from him and I quote I cant let you take advantage of me, you already bought your parts now you want to use a coupon! So fine, I was still more than happy to pay full price, but then he tells me that it will be $125.00 per hour of labor instead of the $94.60 I was quoted!!! He then goes into an analogy telling me you wouldnt bring eggs to a restaurant and expect them to cook them for you! Wow, just wow. Im taking advantage of you by not paying mark up on parts because I wanted a better set of rotors and breaks on my new car???!!! I will never go back there. They have lost a customer for life.

Ive been coming here for my oil changes for a while, always had bad luck and been ripped off my other mechanics.. but not here. Any time I have an issue, I google and call here and they are always able to diagnose and fix the issue and for such a reasonable price. As a woman its especially important to have a trustworthy person to work on your car and Im glad I found this Meineke, plus its close to home and Buddy is the best.
