I normally wouldn’t write a review unless the place is spectacular or unless the place just doesn’t know what they’re doing. In this case this place just doesn’t know what they’re doing. Today marks the third time they messed up a simple sandwich. Every single time there were either things added to the sandwich or they flat out got the sandwich wrong, today marks the last day I’ll ever give my business to this place.

Where do I even begin? This place is better than a jimmy buffet concert. i mean wow. i could count everything that i liked about this place on all of my remaining fingers. The staff, polite. The prices, reasonable. The store, clean and organized. The food, incredible. And dont even get me started about the employee Michael. He was so nice and helpful, I thought he owned the place. Talk about a guy whos destined for greatness, someone give that young man a raise! I wish I was physically capable of reproducing because I am dead set on naming my first born son after him.

Got a 5 foot hero for our Halloween party and it was perfect!! It was neat, not soggy from wet lettuce like Ive had from other places. It was perfectly made and sliced to exactly the right sizes. Even amounts of all meats. All the guests were impressed. Ill definitely be ordering form here from now on!

I love Handy Pantry for its good delicatessen, especially their roast beef heros and German potato salad. My favorite Handy Pantry is near St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Portion Road, Lake Ronkonkoma.

This hp used to have some good soups. I would enjoy these soups on a cold day and they had a nice variety. I went to get soup the other day and was told they have discontinued the soup self-serve station due to covid. The management said they wouldnt be able to control the germs people spread when they help themselves to the soup...pick up ladle, pour in cup, cover cup with lid and go. Then why do they still have a self-serve coffee station and the bread cabinets where people help themselves to rolls and bagels? The act of touching the coffee pots and creamers, etc. and various bread items (some people touch a bagel or roll then drop it back down to choose a different one) is no different than touching a ladle and soup urn cover. Is management saying that covid germs DONT affect the coffee station items or bread cabinet rolls and bagels BUT covid germs DO affect the soup station items? Maybe someone could answer this question with clarity...

I took my pet in a stroller and I didnt know it was not allowed to do that (Im not from here). So I was about to pay my stuff and a lady started nagging me in a rude way so I said I was very sorry :( I had to take the stroller out and came back for paying my stuff and another employee just told me she was sorry cause the other woman was so rude. I am never going back there again :(

Only come here out of sheer desperation if I need milk or beer.

The worst eggs i ever had. Over priced.got a side of home fries not even cooked and very little. Was my 1st time going and will be my last 2/20/21

The worst bacons and eggs sandwiches. Two strips of bacon no cheese and the whole bottle of black pepper put inside the sandwiches. I noticed after walking away to pay. The mean red headed witch girl started to laugh. So i knew right away. That something was going to be wrong with my sandwiches when i got to my job🥵

If this review was based solely off the cashier it would be a 0 star but I give it 2 stars cuz the food is good and MOST of the staff is very nice and friendly.Unfortunately today I had experienced horrible customer service. The cashier with ginger hair was so rude. I came in and she was right off the bat rude to me. Demanded I either buy a mask or leave because the face mask I was wearing wasn’t good enough. I had told her I had been here just 2 days prior with the same exact mask, and that staff at the time had no problem and was so nice to me like usual but she had said no I had to leave or buy a new one. If she had worked at my establishment I would fire her as I would never want my customers to be treated with such attitude as she treated me.

Most all the clerks at this store are bottom feeders but one of them is a real piece of work. She always asks you personal questions and makes constant remarks about your personal appearance. What business is it of hers how you wear your hair or other parts of your physical features? She should mind her own business and just do her job! Why cant she just say hello or have a nice day and ring up your items without wanting to know your life story? I cringe whenever I shop at this Handy Pantry and shes working behind the counter. She should find another job where she can be as nosy as she wants. And the snide remarks she makes shows what an ignorant person she really is!

Worst BLT ever $8 for a sandwich with 3 slices of bacon and 2 thinly slices of tomato. During this shortage of money you would think they would serve their community and not take advantage.

The supervisor behind the deli counter helped me. He was rude and obnoxious. The rest of the staff was nice. But the service was slow, even though they werent busy. There are plenty of good Handy Pantry locations. This is not one of them.

Puchased surgical masks today. they were very friendly and nice. first time there defintetly recomend and will be going back!!!

I couldnt agree more with the poster that said the owner here, Dan, has mental problems. He seems to have a problem dealing with women in particular. I saw him get upset with a woman who accidentally dripped some coffee from the pot when pouring into a cup. Dan looked like he was going to lose it over his precious coffee drippings on the counter. He said something nasty to her and gave her a dirty look - I couldnt believe it. I was waiting on line for cold cuts and someone cut in front of me so I told the clerk about it and Dan rushed over telling me not to start trouble - Are you kidding me? I am a woman and was cut in front of by a man and Dan let the man go ahead of me. Then there was the time when I tried to use a coupon for one of my purchases and Dan came running over saying that they never take coupons at his Handy Pantry store. I seemed surprised not knowing this and Dan got angry and shouted No Coupons Here! Ive overheard him talk about his wife Debbie in a condescending manner with other male customers and it wasnt very nice actually it was quite embarrassing! Whenever hes talking with male customers in the store hes all happy and nice and respectful, but when he talks with women including myself hes condescending and disrespectful. Maybe Dan should start putting his organ inside the men to get his jollies off - dont think Debbie would even mind that! Been shopping here awhile now and Ive had enough. Only a few of the employees are friendly here - gotta laugh that they claim to be a friendly food store - thats a complete joke! Going to shop somewhere else that was recommended - take heed and dont shop here either!

These people are courteous and everything is fresh. We go there all the time. They even made a huge anti pasta, 16 pounds, delicious and reasonable. Would recommend them to everyone

Great selection & Boars head meats. A very nice local grocery store. The deli section is outstanding. I find everything Im looking for.

If I could give zero stars for this place, I definitely would! Where to begin? This HP claims to be a friendly food store - NOT!! The workers including the owners are extremely RUDE and NASTY and not just to me; Ive seen them treat others terribly too. They have always been way overpriced and their workers are extremely incompetent and NOT helpful at all! It seems like no one knows what they are or are supposed to be doing. Maybe thats why the owners are always frowning and looking like they wish they could run out of there! Seems like they are going out of business anyway. Their service behind the checkout counter is slow, and they look to over charge you whenever you are not looking. Their deli counter is a joke since you could be standing there waiting for someone to notice you to take your order for hours on end, even when there is no one else waiting or ordering deli stuff. Whats that all about? Their clerks are slacking off in the back and side of the store hoping they wont be noticed but its very noticeable! Their workers are very lazy and avoid helping you at all costs! Dont expect to see them around much longer - good riddance! I dont recommend you shop there for anything; plenty of other choices out there. I know I dont shop there anymore - not worth the waste of time and aggravation!

People are the best been coming here since I was six for last ten years theyre kind polite never had a problem here great place with great foods

I went and ordered two egg sandwichs with extra bacon. I guess 2 strips per sandwich is coincided extra. Ill go out of my way to avoid this place

This store is very unappealing to shop at.The food items in the deli do not look fresh and neither does the produce.The store is tight to shop in and the checkout area is too small.They also dont believe in lighting up the store at night in parking lot and entrance area.This creates a safety hazzard.I dont shop there at all anymore.

Hi asked for my cold cuts to be packed in quarter pd bags and instead of 4 bags Mike put in 2 bags. He seems not to respect or listen to customers.
