Purchased an expensive floor sweeper. It was delivered, literally dropped off in my warehouse with no training or anything. 6 months later the salesman is no longer with the company and we did not know how to change the blades properly(it is not covered in manual). They charged me $312 to come and train me on the maintenance even though they never supplied the training that was supposed to come with the unit. This was simply a very frustrating experience, as they acknowledge I did not receive what I ordered and paid for but there was apparently nothing they could do. I will not buy from them again.
I called in for service on one of my machines and they came to service it. Their servicemen are well trained and very polite. The tech determined that the ignition coil needed to be replaced. We had scheduled it several times and the tech kept missing the appointments. Once he came, he installed the ignition coil then stated that the fuel pump needed replacement. I asked for the work order to be closed. I get an invoice for $1,200, they charge $149 an hour, their tech worked on the machine for 3, and I was billed for 4. The most surprising charge was “Travel Time” for 2 hours at $149. If you want to pay for someone to sit in NYC traffic then call these people for service and don’t bother trying to speak with the service manager and everything is “policy”Horrible experience, wouldn’t recommend.
Hilo has some great technicians who really care about their customers, their salesmen are some of the more knowledgeable in their field. The ladies that work in the office are easy to speak to and isnt it great to call a place of business and get a live human being on the second ring!
These guys were really great went above and beyond for my parts I would highly recommend them
I took my Toyota forklift into HILO to get fixed because it wasn’t starting I towed it to there workshop, left it there for three days, I called one or two times and I was told there working on it. After 3 days they called me and said it’s good to go.At the time of pickup it was failing to start and the salesman who was assisting told me well it’s a old truck it will do that but it will work . After bringing it to my shop I only started it 3 times just to move it around and every time I would take about 5-15 mins of cranking and then would start . Now the Forth time trying to start I gave up after 20 mins . I callled and they said they could not assist me it’s a old truck I would have pay again. Now the salesman tryed to be nice a. Say he personally would come by and check it out for me . So he did . And he completely screwed up the whole machine now it does not start, crank, stay on, nothing the machine is completely screwed up and he left everything opened up and in parts laying around .Thanks to HILO my truck is worst than before . And I spend $700
Very nice company that gets there delivery drivers in and out keep up the good work
Hilo reminds me of back in the 70s when the innocent public took their cars to Sears Automotive. Hilo management seems to push unnecessary repairs upon the innocent customers just like Sears used to do. The management used to tell the supervisors this month every car that gets worked on will get a new water pump as well, next Month tie rods and the cycle continues to line someone elses pocket with your money. After dealing with these criminals for 2 years I dropped them entirely then watched my forklift repair bills get cut in half. I wish I could get my money back but thats too late. I can only hope I can save someone else the trouble. Sincerely. Rich K
Love this place.
Had the part 👍
