Horrible customer service, few registers are open but i picked the wrong one who gave me attitudes today. She asked me twice in Spanish, I dont even know what she was asking. Then she asked do I want a bag. I told her YA while unloading my basket. Paid for my purchase, then waiting for a bag. She angrily said YOU SAID NO!. I told her I said YA, and maybe just one bag is enough. How did she heard NO instead YA. Is YA means No in Spanish? Im sorry during this pandemic we gotta cover up, even with a plastic shield wall between us, so be patient to listen whether loud talk in ur own language.Chance go again 2/10, 1 is the lowest. Some prices are good, but some are overpriced. See my receipt, 15¢ for a bag, everywhere else 10¢ or even free.

Big saving is something you wont be doing here. Many items are overpriced. For example: Donald Duck orange juice is 2 cartons for $5 at Food 4Less and theyre $5 for one here. Some items are actually a bargain and others are not at about a 50/50. I give the selection of products a 4/5 stars. Not a bad place to shop but make sure you are aware of prices.

I haaaaaaaate this market it is the worst. It is very difficult looking for parking and its called BIG SAVER but that is far from the truth it is a store that it was overpriced especially for brand name items like Kraft cheese or a packed of Farmer John lunch meat is at $8.99! It is ridiculous the only reason I come to this store is if Im running short on time and have to grab a handful of times thats it. Also, when you come here for poultry or meat in the meat section make sure your paying attention to how the employees handle your meat and chicken because some dont change gloves or will be using the same gloves they were cleaning to grab the meat. Just be aware when you come here.

In an area where there is mostly asian markets i am glad i was able to find a Hispanic market. Good selection of Hispanic groceries

Good market but the market and parking is sometimes crowded and packed there. Also there are sometimes homeless people around there too as well. Like this one crazy gray guy (with/without mask) always kept loitering outside the market and plaza there everyday (mostly shows up around in the evenings there), as well as wandering around in the parking lot, plaza, and market there. And this one guy with a hoodie always camps next to the market with his stuff there. Security guard never really did anything to them at all. This market and plaza need to hire a better security guard who can enforce and do their job right.

I used live at that area, haven’t been there after the remodeling, place looks clean and bright but customer service at the money order counter was horrible, not only she gave me attitude but she was mumbling about us making her busy, she didn’t hear the numbers correctly she mumbled again, obviously she has something against Asians

I hate the fact that they are so over priced! Being that We live in Monterey Park and Big Savers is the ONLY Mexican Grocery Store in an Asian/Chinese Community. It feels like they take advantage of the fact😵

The market is a bit dirty.

3000 N. Broadway store: Friendly and attentive staffs. Good prices, always had items in stock. Customers like fresh taco pack: chicken pork and beef. I like the marinated beef taco meat perfect seasoning, good with rice!!! The stores have great specials on Wed and Thu, sweet pineapples, oranges, and apples.

It’s a good low cost market. You can pay Your electric bill and pick up a lot of different cultures foods. It’s got a large fresh vegetable area. I found ripe mangoes there for .99 cents each. Big big mangoes 🥭. The parking can be a pain. But they have sufficient handicapped parking.

Jose Luis the store manager of this store location, is the worst manager. He got no education, he does not have any good manner in how to treat his customers.Dont ever go to this store, you will leave disappointed by the experience in thisstore

Good place to find Mexican produce or grocery items you cant find at big chain grocery stores. I wouldnt do my everyday shopping here because they can be a bit more expensive, anywhere from $0.50 to $2 more for certain basic items, like water, milk, cheese, cereal, frozen foods, canned goods, etc (basically everything).Also the lines can get long at times and they never open more than 3 lanes no matter how long the lines get. Today we spent around 30 minutes in line.

Quick but the cash register lady was a bit rude. Thankfully she was the only bad experience.

The store has mostly what you need. Freshness is ok. The service from the meat department NOT TOO GOOD. I went on a Sunday literally no people waiting and it took the butcher 8 minutes to help me. Mind you I was only going to get carne asada. No acknowledgement or a simple Thank you. Another, thing Ive noticed not so safe if you come here early in the morning to do grocery shopping.

Hadnt been in store in a while but was very impressed with the stores new look and Covid-19 safety practices.

I just purchased some food I Noticed the bananas were damaged. She already checked me out. She told me I chose the bananas and did not check if they were damaged And she refused to return it I had a talk to the supervisor What a day

And one time I was paying for our food, and I was short of cash, the amazingly kind cashier told me, here, I will help you because I believe in helping others, God is good all the time. And its the local Latino supermarket and there is always fresh fruits and vegetables.

I think this place is great I lived in Rosemead for 14 years and of all the Latino markets in the area that we got groceries from, this one was and is my favorite! I moved to El Monte recently and the buy low here is disgusting, there is a recycle center literally next to it and it’s always dirty around the store, and always a lot of men sitting around all days every day just staring at women of all ages, even young girls. Big Saver is cleaner, more strict with loitering, and has cheaper with better quality produce and meat. I definitely recommend Big Saver (:

The prices here are a bit high sometimes, for the quality of fruits & vegetables. You can get great deals on fresh produce on Wednesdays. The workers are friendly. They just need to make the store look a little more cleaned up..

The prices at Big Savers are over priced. I purchased 48 hour Degree Advanced protection. I did a quick online search of the average price. Target,Walmart,Rite Aid, and some small businesses 6.99 for a twin pack. Big Saver Sale it for 6.99 for a single deorent. I ask the supervisor at the moment if I get two for 6.99. He said no its a single deorent. The supervisor gave me the worst explanation to explain why its so high. People will catch on of the bad business they are doing to the community.

A typical Hispanic market, produce and fruits are fresh and good prices.

This market is convenient for me, is on my way to work, it has a big meat department. The only inconvenient is the parking with all the stores next too the market its hard to find a spot to park, but in the late afternoon is better.

Very crammed, I feel clausterphobic each time I go.

I love this place. They sell fresh food and the prices are very cheap. Also sell shampoos and laundry detergent at all cheap prices .

For being called Big saver you wont be saving much of anything, unfortunate that it seems to be the only grocery store in the neighborhood, as it seems to be the reason they stay in business.

I wish that you have a check out counter for people that have found food stamps on the days they received them. It would better for the customers that are inline and get inpatient like ME!!!

The big saver chain is ok ...however the overall cleaniness is some what suspect ...biggest problem I see is their patrons...on certain daysof sales patrons are very pushy, un sanitary, overwhelming rude. I have seen people litterally drop vegetables on the floor and THROW the item back onto its selling spaces..Ive seen asians put vegetablesIn their mouths and put food items back...your employees are quite responsible and caring to handle these kinds of problems.Good luck Big Saver I hope your administration understands this multitude of problems .I shop at Costco and Smart and Final,and I must admit your store cannot compete..Sincerely Vincent Lugo

When you go to a grocery store to buy groceries you normally dont think about the coupons printed on the weekly ad that you generally receive in the mail or even remember them so naturally when the cashier rings up, you pay whatever the price the scanned item is.Now tonight, my experience was completely different. My cashier her name is My Hang Hao. Immediately she racially profiled my mother and myself and proceeded to speak to me in the worst vietnamese Cantonese accent. She then continues to ask me about the coupon, on the weekly Im completely puzzled. I said well the price tag states by 2 cases for 11.99 or 1 case for 13.99. She said well the weekly ad has a coupon that says 2 cases for 9.99 now, she then continues to tell me that its completely my responsibility to bring in the coupon on the ad for that price. She stated Big Savers spends thousands on dollars putting those ads out. I responded with mam I have no coupon Ill pay the 11.99. Then she proceeds with you dont want the item? I am beyond feed up at this point, so no please dont let me spend 2 extra dollars. At this point I pay for my two items, vapor rub and a bag of apples. I then tell her hey next time when your speaking with customers, will you please try to be more professional and be more polite you spoke to me in a degrading manner in front of my child I dont appreciate that. I called the store took me 7 calls to get thru. I spoke with the closing assistant manager. Her name is Esmeralda Castillo. She was apologetic and ensured me this wont happen again. She handled the situation well. I will be sending a letter to Robert Ascencio (store manager) in the morning about this completely traumatizing experience in front of my child and my mother. I will never step foot in this store again unless this changes.

Its a no thrills Mexican supermarket. You can also pay your bills, but bring a chair and lots of time because the lines are long and they only have ONE employee for it all. Time stops here and flashbacks of the DMV cross the mind!
