It pains me to leave a 2 star. It really does. I’ve been a regular at this place for some time. Firstly I’ll start off with the positives. The space. This place is massive and is about to be getting even bigger. Which is awesome because even on busy event days, there is still ample room to just play some board or card games with your friends. Secondly, the selection. They have a wide range of products that can accommodate every level of experience. From simple and easy to pick up family games for all ages, to more advanced games for the older more experienced crowds. There is something for everyone. And they also have a great in-house library of games you can play without need of purchase. Thirdly, food and drink. If your looking for a light snack and some coffee or a burger and a beer to wash it down, they got you covered. Not much else to say about that. But sadly this is where I come to the one negative, and I’m sad to say it’s the service. While everyone employed is EXTREMELY friendly and kind and knowledgeable about the products, the service can still be lacking. Even on slower days where it’s my group and maybe 2-3 others it can take quite a while for a brat even. I’ve also been given wrong drinks several times, and due to regulations, they must open cans and bottles before serving. so if you aren’t paying attention you might get the wrong thing opened. Again everyone is super nice and helpful, my low rating is not reflective of them, but of the service my group and I have been given the past few times we’ve been there. I love this place, but the service is making my group wanting to look elsewhere, which really pains me.
Visiting the mothership after years of playing FFG games. Spacious and designed by and for gamer, I had a blast during Con of the Rings 2021. There is something universal about game stores/game cafes but at the same time, the proximity to the FFG and Asmodee offices give the Gamezenter something else.
I was impressed with the bright inviting look. Even at 9:30pm it was busy! Lots of items to buy, room to play, and a great place to paint. Even have great hot foods and cold drinks to eat while you play. Definitely going back soon.
Great shop! Great variety of games and good food in a comfortable and welcoming setting. We love visiting to try out new games from their game wall. We always find something new! Gamers, check it out!
Its got a good selection of games, food, and drink to supply for an evening. Alcohol is served if you want it too. While just a bit pricy in all regards, its certainly worth your time if you need that table space for a special game or two.
Great place to meet friends or join a pickup board game. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food is excellent as well with a variety of delicious options.
Great place, with a good selection of products and nice employees. Can’t wait to see the finished addition :)
They have an excellent selection of games available to play, including plenty of games made by other brands. Their food and drinks are pretty cheap too. The only thing I wish they did differently was install some noise proof panels in the ceiling because it gets loud and it is hard to hear what is going on at your table/in your game. When I used to visit years ago they would be pretty full on weekend nights but during the week there were usually several tables open.
Massive tabletop game center with its own grill and a small bar. What more could a nerd want?
DISAPPOINTED!! No free games! My friend highly recommended this place and it sounded perfect for a date. And Im guessing it would have been prepandemic.Because of Covid restrictions I made sure to do my research. No where on their website did it indicate their library of games was not available right now. Isnt that the point of this place...try out a game, buy some food and drinks, and maybe buy a game to bring home.I was also put off when I asked about games and the staff member was not apologetic at all. Just, Oh, we dont have our demo games right now, maybe in a couple months. But you can bring your own games. Well that would have been helpful to know beforehand! The food was good but overpriced, which would have been fine if there were free games to play. My husband and I both wish we would have canceled our food order and gone somewhere else to eat where we would have gotten more for our money.
Lovely open, clean, friendly space to hang out and play stuff with friends! Stopped in for the first time yesterday and have already planned more meet ups for the future :)
Im from out of town, stopped by to visit and it was really cool getting to look through the selection of games!
Staff, game selection, and game play area are good. But game prices tend to be over MSRP.
First off, this place is very clean, this goes a long way for me. Also, theres loads of space to play and a huge selection of games. The food selections are great and much better than a bag of chips or some Twizzlers. I highly recommend this place. The only negative that I can think of is that parking can be very rough. They need to have more parking available.
Fantastic people every one is very accepting of everyone very comfortable place to bring your friends and play board games they also do some magic the gathering. They sell board games and do warhammer 40k and its open till 11 pm which is SOOO NICE
Great place to just come and play games... Tons of demo games to try and just hangout. They have a small counter deli with coffees, snacks, burgers, dogs, chili, beer, and more. A little quiet right now with Covid stuff, but still a fun place to go.
Great place to get your game on. Whether board gaming, miniatures, or just finding new stuff for your game shelf. Even a kitchen and barista for sustenance and caffeination.
Lots of game tables to play any games you want, or use their tables with war gaming cover for you to use. Bring your own or use one of their board games off of their game library shelves.
Ordered through their online store, fast shipping and excellent customer service. Would recommend!
Great place to gather and play board or cards games. Facility is always clean and staff are friendly. Wide selection of games to purchase, did and drink is a little overpriced but its worth it to use the area they have setup for gaming.
Beer & Wine. Snacks. And board games. If you D&D this place is perfect. Or if you want a drink while you shop for someones gift! Like I just did!
I love this place. During non-covid times, its a great place to meet up with friends and play some table top games. Theres usually a bustle of energy and all the newest releases or expansions to favorites on the shelves. They serve beer, coffee, pastries, and some decent grill food. Definitely worth a visit, especially if youre a fan of the hobby board game world.
Stupid name but still great place have some poutine!
Provides a great atmosphere for casual board and card gameplay with your friends.
Whats to say love great game center experiences
Amazing game store with a restaurant with plant based options, coffee and gaming tables. Cant confirm if vegan or only vegetarian, but will my next visit.
Good games, good beer, and plenty of space to enjoy them. Get the burger and onion rings.
Decent selection, great space for gaming. Kind, knowledgeable staff was helpful, unfortunately the product we were looking for they did not have in stock...
Destination for all board gamers, ttrpgs and card game players. Love spending hours here.
Great place for gaming, and great food! Bar none!
Excellent selection, knowledgeable staff
It was awesome, great staff, plenty of space and a wide selection of miniatures and hobby stuff.
Great location with friendly staff, lots of room and games. They even have food and drinks.
Place was nice. The guy working was great to converse with. Sad to see a store like this be so dead because of covid (being in such a largely populated area). Much bigger play area compared to similar stores where I live in Oregon. Hopefully its more lively next time we go there.
Very friendly atmosphere. Chatted games with the staff. Very knowledgeable.
A permanent board game convention in your backyard, FF has everything youve ever dreamed of. Full game library available to play for free? Sure. Food and beer? You got it. That one obscure Warhammer figurine? No problem. Seriously, if youre even remotely into tabletop gaming come check these folks out!
Very kind staff and great food when playing
Fantasy Flight Game Center is a great place to bring a group to try out new games. There is a whole wall of boxed games to try. The food was very good that our group had and that included rice bowls, Pizza, veggies and hummus, and french fries. We had a birthday celebration there and everyone enjoyed their time. I especially liked the natural light coming into the room. You can also purchase a huge variety of games. Do be careful where you park as there are some parking places that are by permit only.
It is the the best place for gaming.
Helpful staff, good selection, room to play games in the back (not during a Pandemic) I highly recommend checking it out.
Fantasy Flight is one of the best gaming stores Ive been to. It is clean, organized, and has a great selection. There is also food available.
Always love going to Fantasy Flight! I love that theres a place to go where you can try out board games before you buy them. There have definitely been a few games that looked really fun and interested but I didnt really enjoy playing, so o was glad I didnt spend the money on it. There have also been those gone I try once and know that I have to buy it! The food is delicious as well; the gourmet fries are to die for and they always have an excellent selection of drinks.
A truly unique spot where gaming culture feels embraced and mainstream. This place is part restaurant, part gaming hall, and part gaming shop. However the space is dedicated mostly to the gaming hall aspect with approximately 20-30 tables set up and a large, high ceiling space to accommodate a literal horde of dice throwing, card laying, miniature battling gamers. As such, its selection of games and accessories for sale is more limited/curated than a typical store but still... Has a great selection.
Obviously the majority of games stocked were asmodee, but that covers a lot of ground. There was a small offering from other publishers though.I thought it was very cool to see all the LCG content, but was disappointed that their key forge selection was minimal.Unfortunately I was only able to visit midweek. Had there been more people or opportunities to take advantage of the space, I would have stayed longer, but... there was a pandemic going on after all.Cool experience.
Amazing place. Cant wait for them to fully open when this pandemic is over. Staff are friendly too!
Got a burger and o rings. Close to work so why not!?
The pull here is for the gaming atmosphere and options. The retail selection is sparse compared to some others in the area, and ffgcs menu options offsets that. Would give 5 stars but have had issues with ordering items through here.
Great gaming environment.
Fun place to hang out with a group of friends and play some board games. We always bring our own games, but if you have never been here there is a wall of games that you can play. The food has gotten better since the last time I was there. Prices have gotten better as well.
2nd time here & this is a place to enjoy family & friends with what I believe to be over a 1,000 games to play & purchase. We are from SD, Ca, moved here a year ago. Didnt play board games there but meet church friends that became family & now my wife & I have fun playing games. Family came in for the holidays, from Seattle, SD, & North Carolina plus our church family & had a blast laughing & notice that there are a lot of people have a good time. So we recommend this place for getting to know each other, meet new people & the food here is fast food but pretty tasty. Plus the staff seemed to like their job which made it nice for us. Restrooms are clean. Plus it keeps people engaged instead of isolated with video gaming, if you understand what I mean. Have a peaceful Christmas & a New new year.
Love this place! Great games, pretty decent food & drinks, friendly staff...but the main reason I give this place 5 stars is the womens bathroom. Seriously. It always smells nice, is super clean, and they always have free feminine products in a cute little basket in each stall. Its THE BEST.
I love fantasy flight games. They offer great prices and a wonderful space for playing games, testing new games I might want to buy and an expanding food library. They also publish great games. Im so excited for legend of the five stars!
Very helpful staff, game I wanted was locked in warehouse across parking lot. Lots of different games not found elsewhere.
This was my first time here and I had so much fun! My three year old and I got to try out so many games. The food was delicious. The coffee was awesome. The staff was super helpful. Added bonus: there are a supply of feminine products available for emergencies in the bathroom free of charge. Cant wait to come back!
I absolutely love this place to get board games! They have such a fantastic collection of games to buy
Great place to play games! They have a ton of games to try and a ton of tables to play at. They even have pretty good food so you dont have to leave to take a food break from having. Finally they also have a great selection of games to purchase, by far the best game store Ive ever been to. I highly recommend checking it out!!
I love this place. Such a treasure to have a great gaming space with solid food options. And its obviously a well stocked game store with knowledgeable staff.
The Fantasy Flight Games Center is a wonderful place. I would imagine most people dont know what it is, or where it is. Across the Roseville Post Office, the GC isnt just a normal store. Yes, you can purchase or special order your games here. You can also order food, drinks, and most anything that could catch your fancy. You can ask any of the seasoned staff questions about new releases. There is a wall of demo games that you can play at any time. There is also a ton of seating and tables - bring your own games and play, or hang out with your guild and play some roll playing games. The GC offers support for casual gaming, new gamers, and tournaments.Stop in and see what they have to offer and you may find your new favorite regular hangout.
Friendly staff. They lots of products and if they dont have it they are willing to order for you or set aside the item. They also offer a military discount of 10%.
Another awesome Feel place for people to hang out and play games and socialize. Theyre selection of games and product isnt as large as nearby The Sources but what they do have is excellent. Where they go above and beyond though is the staff and gaming area. Staff are great and they have a full service food counter that people can order from while playing. Great atmosphere and people here!
Love beaing able to get out here. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they have a hige selection of tabletop games. The food is also pretty good and fairly priced.
Theres so many games! Games for sale, even games to try! Something for everyone, even if youre not playing a game (good food and drinks). We love coming here to try out new games, and its where we go to buy games. Definitely worth the trip!
Nice location and food, but dont buy any games. Company policy disallows return of defective merchandise, even 5 minutes after purchase. Chess board came with 2 white queens and 1 knight. Was told they cant do anything about it, directing you to the website for support. Complete bull.
Fantasy Flight Games Center is a fantastic game store! What really puts them over the top is the large game spaces and huge selection of demo games where you can meet up with people and try new games in a fun and welcoming space. They have onsite food and beverages to help with your gaming experience, too!
Its so much fun I’ve only been there once but I already am going to get rides there more regularly!
What an amazing place! You can go in and play a huge wall of games for free! They have food that you can buy and a huge selection of games for sale. We went there with a group and had no trouble finding a game we all wanted to play, and there were plenty of places to sit. The play wall even has the kid versions of some games. This may be our new family game night location!
Oh my goodness I was so blown away! The food is awesome and big portions and they have both main fountain soda brands as well as a local brand. They were super spacious and clean and the bathrooms were even pretty clean and they provided womens feminine products in case you didnt have any on you! Staff was amazing and overall I am super impressed! Will certainly be back with more friends!
Its a great hidden gem! If we hadnt gotten a gift card from a coworker for Christmas we probably would have never known about this place. We bought a game, ordered some gourmet fries (SUPER GOOD!), got a couple drinks then sat down and played our new game. We had a great night and will be returning to try out some new games in the back room :)
Great place to hang out. You can bring in your own board games and grab some food, or play one of the many demo games. Good selection of board games for sale, and they have coffee/pop/tap beer!
What is not to say? Some could argue that it is almost, maybe, slightly, expensive food; well thats because its good food. Not top of the line but it is far better than fast food and better than the 85% of diners! The space is beyond outrageous, the amount of available terrain for games is expansive. What could you expect from a store known for making top tier Games? This year I think is the first year its world tournaments wont be held on grounds!
Great food, lots of room for open play, particularly in the back room, wide selection of games in the game wall, and lots of gaming events. I run a regular game there, and while it is loud, thats because they do a good job. Clean and comfortable facility, with a variety of table setups. Unlike a lot of game stores, they dont let you bring food because they have a restaurant. However, they do have beer and wine and fresh food with a variety of dietary options available, so theres a benefit to that policy.
Tons of fun here, lots of free games to hang out and play. We went on a weeknight and it was busy so I cant imagine how bad a weekend would be so plan ahead. Food was expensive but surprisingly good, beer was best priced in a combo with food. Overall a good experience!
Employees are kind and helpful. Bathrooms very well kept with extra supplies available and ladies sanitary items available also. Clean and large space to play games and meet friends. Very large selection of board games to try before you buy. Well organized and prices easily found on the boxes. Full menu of grill dinner and lunch items, full coffee and espresso bar, sweets and snacks, candy/chips/pop, I mean the place has everything. I visit many game stores and I have never been as impressed with one as I am with Fantasy Flight. Very well done, and I plan to visit again soon and make it a regular hangout and gaming stop. I forgot to mention it is also very family friendly, but not overrun by kids.
Good game selection and knowledgeable employees to provide references!
I absolutely love this place. Huge menu of good food, drinks and even alcohol. Even bigger play area with 100s of free to play games to try out, paint areas to work on your miniatures and many many tables to grab for your own games. Cant say enough great things about Fantasy Flight
Love it. Great place to meet to play games. Food is very good as well. Large library of games that you can play at no cost. Nice to be able to see if you like a game before you buy it. Good selection of games for sale. Staff are very friendly and go out of there way to make your visit a good one. Bathrooms are clean. Lighting is great for gaming. The only negative thing I could say is that it can get pretty loud at times.
Great food. Had the BLT and the Classic Canadian Poutine. Prices are a little high but considering that you can play any game in their library and use any open table for free (theres plenty of space for tons of groups), the trade off seemed worth it.Their library of available games in very comprehensive, nicely organized and labelled for casual and serious players. Its very easy to hang out here for hours playing a new game with your friends.
Amazing staff, amazing selection, and tons of room. We happen to go on leap year day and amazingly everything was 29% off, so I went nuts. Wonderful selection of kids games as well. Also, if something is not available at fantasy flight website it might be available in their store. If you are a gamer and your in in the Twin City area, do not miss this. Zman, Asmodee, and Chip Theory games are also in the area. Enjoy.
Always enjoy going here to play D&D, also to sometimes just relax and play board games that i dont own, honestly was the place where i first found betrayal and fell in love with it, also enjoyed other games and hope to find more that speak out to me that i enjoy. The only issue Ive ever had is wishing that the food wasnt as expensive and tasted a bit better since the last time i purchased food there it was a major let down and its understandable that they let us use there space for playing games but the food needs to be way more worth the price since you cant bring food from other places in. Still will always recommended going here to play games and discover new games if you enjoy board games.
The staff here are amazing, and this really is a self-contained gaming space. Complete with a restaurant in the center, a huge board game library you can borrow from, and a great gaming area. I was here about every day for a week, and loved it.
I love this place. Such a treasure to have a great gaming space with solid food options. And its obviously a well stocked game store with knowledgeable staff.
This is a wonderland of gaming, with a great selection of games, food and drink for sale. The best feature is their extensive board game library, all playable for free on site. Theres a game for everyone here. Trust me.
A wide variety of games, knowledgeable staff, a common area for public gaming and a well stocked snack bar make this a must visit for any sort of tabletop enthusiast. As a native Minnesotan Im proud to support this local company making a worldwide impact with their in-house products.
This has a great facility for playing games. They have a great selection of games to play in shop and also to buy. The tables are cleaned and well maintained and there are plenty of them. During peak times (such as evenings), the tables can fill up, but one can usually still join a group or get a table pretty quickly. The food is better than one would expect from a game store and is about the quality of a middle class dine in restaurant, but its prices are still lower. Overall, it is a place any game enthusiast should try to visit and be involved with.
I love this place! Such a great selection of games and you can even spend all night here without spending a penny. But theres snacks and booze if you want, too.
