Tom Thumb is a favorite grocery of ours in Texas, we like Kroger as well. This particular store is a little far from our new location but offers gas and is in another county so price is lower even without the discount. The store has a good layout and remarkably friendly and helpful staff.

Love Tom Thumbs in general, great selection, good quality, and always some really good specials. They really commit to good customer service, and are always clean, and organized.

This store is so clean and bright. The produce is beautiful. It is not real close to my house so i dont visit real often, but always have a pleasant experience (even with my latest visit when they were out of both things i went to get)

Best Tom Thumb Ive ever been to!! Theres a lounge area by the restrooms, the employees are extremely friendly and the store was immaculate. No clutter, well stocked, incredible selection, and I always love the prices at any Tom Thumb. Highly recommend using them for all your grocery needs.

I just to the Quest Diagnostics inside the store. I have to have my blood checked frequently. The staff is always friendly & efficient. Schedule an appointment & it works out great. If you need blood work I recommend Quest. The store is nice & clean, I just dont grocery shop there.

Solid grocery store with good produce, a decent meat counter with prime beef selections. Wish they had a little more variety in the seafood, but they cover the standard bases. Very rarely do I come away without everything on my list crossed off which is the best you can expect from a grocery.

The prices here are good. I saved $12 using my club card which earns me points that then goes toward discounted gas prices. The store is clean and easy to access. The location is great and having the gas station makes it convenient.This location has an ice machine, coin machine, a lottery machine, a pharmacy, and a redbox machine. They also have self checkout lanes.The service is friendly and very helpful. I like shopping here.

Sorry, while the people are nice it is not well organized. There were shoppers, several people working but only one register open! It is ways like this at this location. I asked that they open a register, which they did, but I bagged my own. Employees should be proactive about opening new registers and managers should be aware. This is why I do most of my shopping at Kroger and Walmart.

The store is awesome and if you are OCD youre going to love this store because everything is so neat and tidy every time I go in there and the fresh fruit and vegetables look amazing! Although the bread from the bakery be careful last time we got a loaf and it was hard as hell. I think they may have overbaked it.

Tom thumb is a NICE atmosphere but the price of the goods just dont often make it worth coming here over going somewhere else.

Store is always clean and employees are helpful and courteous. Selection is a bit hit and miss since covid and the recent snow/ice storm but thats a problem for all grocery establishments. They do some fun holiday specials like chocolate dipped strawberries on Valentines day just as one example. The signature select private label offerings are as good as, or in many cases, better than, national brand equivalents. The produce aisle has a nice selection of regular and organic options and its normally of higher quality than most local competitors.

The bakery here is terrific!! Their cakes are definitely better than expected for a grocery store. They also have plenty of cupcakes in different varieties which are great when shopping for holidays and my sons class or other gatherings. The butter mini croissants can be perfectly paired with thier chicken salad in the deli for a nice dinner or lunch party as well.

I went in for the Monday chicken special and found only 1 piece of fried chicken and 4 very small roasted wings, also a thigh/leg combo. When I asked if there would be more, I was told that no, there would not be. Needless to say, upsetting to not be able to.gwt the fried chicken special at 6:30pm.

Always clean, usually well stocked. Can sometimes be a little pricey. Should try to buy your items when they go on sale.

I come to Thom Thumb for ingredients and specialty foods that I cant buy anywhere else. They can be a little pricey but what the heck its worth it when I can buy specialty items and ingredients from time to time. I come to expect the best from Thom Thumb. However, theres 1 store I visited in Desoto, TX that was a disappointment. Especially around the deli and prepared food area. No it had nothing to do with customer service or an unclean store. It was the lack of specialty items that Ive grown accustomed in other Thom Thumb stores. Even the meat in the lunchbox was cubed instead of shaved. It was different than what I usually buy in other Thom Thumbs. I was also looking for sushi rolls but none. Also the hot soups station was non-existent. I felt like I was in a glorified Walmart. Also I know it depends on what people buy in the area. I was a little disappointed in this Thom Thumb.

Ive filled out 20 request cards over the past year asking them to order the Ritter Sport Milk Chocolate Bar for my grandaughter. Every single night when I shop here I go check the shelf... its never there! THEY KEEP ORDERING EVERY FLAVOR EXCEPT MILK CHOCOLATE!

Produce! A grocery store is a grocery store, until you compare the meat and produce departments. This is where Tom Thumb shines. They have great produce that is normally fresh and taken care of. H.E.B is the best at it, with Tom Thumb and Kroger a really close second, Target is okay and Walmart is THE worst. The staff is friendly and helpful, so overall I really like Tom Thumb.

Almost everytime you go there someone in the entryway is trying to sell you something or trying to push injecting that havent even been properly tested its very annoying some people go there to get food not listen to salespeople .

Purchased a gift card and it was tampered with. My full amount I payed was gone and they said there was nothing they could do. UPDATE after being told to contact the store I was still given no resolution a number on the back of the card which I already called.

I just left tom thumb in Rowlett Texas -8805 Lakeview Pkwy around 4:30pm, I have lived in Rowlett for 25 years and have spent money over money at this store and in 25 years I have never had a complaint, but for some reason today I went in to the Deli and Andrew was working, their was a customer in front of me so of course you wait, once he was done I moved up to the window and Andrew walked off turned his back and started doing something different, he put up his hand and said hold on and went to wait on another customer down in the fried foods part, once he came back I asked him why would he help another customer after I have been waiting he said I did not see you standing there, you made eye contact with me so why did you not see me, I asked him was it because I am too dark he did not respond asked me what did I want, I told him I would report this to a manager and that better training needs to be done, no matter who I am you treat us all the same, so as I was telling him what lunch meat I wanted Shelia walks out from the back and tells him walk off, yes what do you need If he said he did not see you then he did not see you, I said all I am trying to do it get lunch meat are you serious right know, Sheila said what do you need I said dietz and watson turkey breast, which one which one their is a lot of them which one, she came from behind the counter and said point to it point which one are you talking about I said I am sorry I am uneducated and cant read or write it says turkey breast if I am reading it right, she went back behind the counter mumbling these people, people, Andrew came back to help another customer and she told him dont say anything to her just ignore her, what just happened I only came to buy lunch meat, I am a Nurse on the front line and I only treat you with respect when you are admitted, or when you need help, why am I subject to something that is so degrading, I am these people I am black I guess thats what she meant, I am just as much apart of this world as anyone else, so I should be treated as such, Shelia said she was a manager, I told her I have met the manager which was a black lady who worked here for years Shelia said yea call who you want to call and she is in the hospital ok ? Sheila was supposed to be professional, treat me like a customer come out put the fire out and just simply say I am sorry maam how can I help you instead you dummy me down IN front of other customers who walked up, I asked her what made her any different then me and, would you like it if people treat you bad It does not feel good what is your nationality she said Asian American ok so if you are judged by your race would you want this to happen to you for just simply going into the store to but lunch meat! this is unacceptable no matter who you are I am so so very disappointed in Tom Thumb!!!To follow up on my complaint, I received a call from the store manager Wayne The day after my experience, I called him back today 4/5/2021 and we spoke, Mr. Wayne assured me that he wanted me to have good experiences in Tom Thumb, he was very professional, caring, and empathetic, I no from the conversation that he will address the issues and make sure they dont repeat themselves. When someone in management reaches out to a customer and can have a calm assuring conversation it makes a brave statement that companies do care about customers. Thank you Mr. Wayne

Fresh nutritious food. Close proximity to Baylor hospital. Found everything we needed.

Only cause the parking lot is such a hassle. Id prefer a different grocery story.

Very clean. Light years better than getting groceries at any walmart. They carry cajun food and ingredients. You can tell how advanced they are by the fact that theres an EV charging station in front.

This location is very near my house, so I really tried to make it work. Unfortunately, it rarely has the grocery products that I needed in stock. If you need any dairy alternative products, they have little to none. Wine selection is ok, but just your basics.My biggest complaint is how difficult it is to find many products. Even asking the store associates takes me multiple tries. I dont have the time to do laid around the store looking for a jar of artichokes. Or on a wild goose chase for cream cheese alternative that the associates all say they have but after three different aisles, nobody can find it.Save your time and shop somewhere else.

I was in today to pick up something and there were three women hanging out without masks! They stood in a very high traffic area and stayed there for at least 15 minutes. Then I saw them go through the check out line, talk for a bit, and then go to the Starbucks in the store. No one employee or manager stopped them, and just let them just walk around maskless and feel empowered to do something so reckless. It was incredibly irresponsible of the management of this Tom Thumb to let these women do something that could put peoples lives at risk. I hope anyone who reads this review puts their health first and decides to not shop there. Aldi is cheaper anyways 🤷

I had horrendous service here.At first the cashier made a mistake -- no big deal, but when she sent me to customer service to have it fixed thats when things went south.They didnt know how to fix the problem so were little help at first, but I never got say much as a sorry for the inconvenience.I asked for a refund and the woman behind the counter was less than helpful, called me rude and made a scene while pointing her finger at me.Another associate, a manger or key employee took over (at her request) and he was helpful.But she continued to talk openly about me to other costumers and was unprofessional.She even made a remark previously about someone else who had just asked to speak to a manager.Sure Ill go back but Ill avoid her at all cost.

Disappointed to see only half of people wearing masks properly. Some had none at all and were not practicing social distancing. Really sad to see so many employees not wearing them or allowing them to only cover their chin, leaving the nose and mouth uncovered. Thats just pointless. Thankfully the 2 young men helping me check out and bag my things were wearing masks properly. Unfortunately I dont feel safe returning to this store.
