When you get letters about them buying your car and you wait around so they can do an appraisal. I really didn’t have time but I did it anyways. And the say that they will email you or call you. I have tried to get ahold of them and they don’t return your phone calls. I am thinking about leaving Prime Toyota and looking else where when I buy my next car in the near future. They also charged me for an alignment and I didn’t get one. And when I asked for my money back they took for ever to reimburse me. I use to be a loyal customer here at this dealership. But my husband and I are thinking going else where. Prime don’t care about their customers once they buy a car from them. I am going to go somewhere else where I know that I will be appreciated

I just had a repair done on steering wheel telescopic lever clip. Repair was done quickly keeping the cost down to 1/2 of initial estimate. Great service that’s very professional with no push to sell extras. I highly recommend them.
Molly, my service advisor, was fantastic. She communicated all of my car’s needs very clearly to me. Time will tell how well the mechanic did. So far, I have no complaints. Everyone at Prime Toyota seemed very competent. And the waiting area was very spacious, which is nice during a pandemic. I will be returning to keep my car in top notch condition.

Not going to write a long drawn out review, just a waist of time. In short waited 2 1/2 for a free oil change and tire rotation. Spent $124 on a rodent nest in the filters (that’s fine) but I left with only a “free” tire rotation NO OIL CHANGE, and they are “booked at least 2 weeks out” another place I won’t be back…
I would have appreciated more timely service. However when I did get service it was satisfactory. Amy Dunn was very effective at making sure my extended warranty paid for the repairs needed. I like the texting service and online features so that I. An see what is needed and approve or say no to what I don’t need.

Had the honor of buying from Alexis and Prime Toyota. In these times of shortages and supply demand, Alexis and Prime Toyota worked with me through the whole ordeal. I have to go back to July 2021 when I first worked with Alexis. Walked in chatted for a bit and put a refundable deposit down on a 2021 4runner. Prime did not mark up the vehicle like most dealers in the Portsmouth NH area. I say this because I am currently serving in the USCG in Kittery. So I drove an hour away to purchase the 4runner. The communication and customer service provided by Alexis and Prime is nothing short of impressive. Alexis told me when the vehicle was being built, shipped, and of course delayed at the port. When the 4runner was set to arrive at the dealership at the end September, our Ship was getting underway for Patrol. I was devastated and told Alexis to sell it to someone else and put my deposit on a 2022. Alexis, went out of her way to have the Dealership hold the 4runner for 4 extra weeks. I cannot be more thankful for the wonderful experience I had working with them. If I ever need another vehicle I will definitely be buying from Alexis again. Extremely happy with our experience at Prime, mainly because of our salesman Eric. He was outstanding, never made us feel rushed (despite it being one of the only vehicles of its kind available anywhere) and was extremely great to work with. He’s the opposite of what you expect from your average car salesman who in my experience are just looking for a commission. I had a flat tire on my vehicle and David in service was able to get me the right tires at an affordable price. So affordable I ended up replacing all my tires not just the flat. They were able to fit me into the schedule and get my needs handled in a timely fashion on short notice. I would definitely recommend this service department to anyone.
Service at Prime has gone downhill.Last year the service tech broke my blue tooth mic. They promised to reimburse me for the replacement cost. I submitted the proof of the $15 cost for a new mic, which I replaced myself. I havet received any of the promised refund yet.I had my regular service done on Sept 7 and then drove to FL, at which time I noticed a leak. I called the Prime Service manager because a FL Toyota dealer wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee of $250 to id the leak. After some discussion about why I should pay to have one Toyota shop to look at why another Toyota missed a leak, he agreed to cover the cost if it was because of their mistake. The local Toyota shop said my transmission was leaking in several places and they couldnt understand how Prime missed it.On Monday I called the Prime service manager to advise him of this and what he would do about the $147 it cost me to discover their error. It is now Thursday and he has not returned my call.There appears to be a pattern here. Sloppy service work and poor customer service from management. Im done with Prime. Buyer beware.Update - Service Director posted a response to this....I have not heard back and left a voice mail for him again, which he didnt respond to.I called the GM before making a call to the Toyota rep. GM responded and had the SD call. He tried to say the tech would have caught the problem so it must have happened after the service. The problem is the problem was there before the leak and the noise I went in with was worse than before the service. He agreed to make me whole, which was the right thing to do.
Sales guy was nice, but they didnt have the title and basically ignored me foe a week and a half while I really needed a car. They didnt offer a rental, or even anything in the way of updates for over a week and a half. I called and it was pulling teeth to get any info. I dont recommend this place at all if you can. Not worth your effort
I have always felt that at car dealerships I may be taken advantage of to get my car serviced and pressure me to get more work done than had to actually be done. Today, David let me know all recommendations that they had for my car when I got my inspection sticker but did not pressure me to get work done today. I ended up getting one of two recommendations done today but he was honest enough to let me know the car could wait another month for the second recommendation and also let me know that there would be a sale on the service next month! I did not leave feeling I could have been taken advantage of! Il be back next month!
They were really great. Got me in for an appointment when nobody else could for a month out. I live 3 hours away so it’s kind of a big deal to me that they could at least squeeze me in. Phillip helped me, he was really nice too :)

I had a 1:30 appointment for my 10K service of my Camry. When I arrived I was told that they were at least 45 minutes behind. I was not happy. Michelle Matthau explained that 2 tech had to leave mid day. The problem with finding adequate staffing that has affected so many businesses had also affected them. Michelle was very calm, kind and helpful. Once I understood the situation I felt reassured.She did her best to try to expedite the process in a difficult situation. I appreciated her help and the way she handled it.
I had another great service appointment at Prime today. Dave Edwards has been my service advisor since I bought my 2011 Tacoma. His oustanding customer service is the only reason that I continue to bring my vehicle back for routine maintenance at this point. I am beyond the extended warranty period and live almost an hour away. While I have many options closer, I honestly feel that I will leave this dealership completely satisfied because of him!

First, tried to schedule the appointment on line. The rep took my information and told me I would be contacted. I waited two days with no call. Called directly and spoke to a live rep. Nothing was in the system. Next, dropped the vehicle off early as I was told I had an 8:30 time slot. Got a call at 9:30 asking what I needed. All that info had been provided when the appointment was scheduled and on the drop off envelope. At 4:00 I got to the shop and the service manager was just sending me the info on the diagnosis…they had indeed confirmed there was something wrong with the vehicle. It took them all day to confirm what I had told them and they didn’t even work on the repair portion as they had not contacted me yet. Now have to make another trip for the repair. If I had been contacted earlier, I would have authorized the repair to start immediately but instead, they waited and now I have to go back on Tuesday and leave the vehicle. Communication could have been better.
I was running behind schedule and they still allowed me to have my service even though I was almost a half an hour late. The service took longer than estimated, but that was probably just because I was late. Communication was good. Comfortable waiting area
First it took 3 times of me calling to finally get an appointment. Then I arrive for my appointment and due to circumstances ehicj we’re sn employee not showing up for work- construction in the service area/ finally got the car in. Very disappointing.

Delay in appointment time. Gave permission to do a CHECK on alignment and yet they completed an alignment anyway. Service advisor states he said they would complete it if it checked out as needing one. I did NOT hear him say it and AGAIN I had ONLY approved of a check. Would be nice for them to come and check with you before completing work you haven’t approved!

Arrived for appointment early. Took a lot of time for technician to take information. Close to a half hour for someone to check my vehicle in. 2 hours later I learn that car needs additional work. However; dealership does not have parts and it’s too late to get them from another Toyota dealership or third party, part supplier.I understand that parts are in short supply post Covid and back ordered but better communication over the 2 hour period would have alleviated a lot of frustrationLove Toyota products and maintenance department at Prime was always great. Not sure what went on today. Looked like too many vehicles scheduled given the amount of staff.

Top notch service and turn around time! Amy in the service department went above and beyond in working with my insurance and getting my truck back to me in literal showroom condition. Had a chance to speak to the tech working on my truck. He went through everything he had done AND pointed out all of my aftermarket modifications that he liked. It’s nice knowing my vehicles are in the hands of actual car/truck people when bringing them in to get worked on.
I LEFT A NEGATIVE REVIEW ON PRIME FORD AND THEY DELETED IT WITHOUT REPLYING!!! TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. THE REVIEWS ARW CULLED THEY ONLY PUT UP THE POSITIVE EXPEREINCES!!! I had to interact with John from prime Toyota and it was a disrespectful condescending experience the story is long but the had a sticker price that said $16000 and proceeded to tell me they would never sell the car for that price and I should’ve done research. Marked it up $2 grand I should’ve walked away I feel awful about the whole experience got duped wish I went online to find my own car instead of getting swindled by these men.

Second time due to lack of manpower. I live in Kennebunk. First time there was told it would be three hours for oil change or reschedule. I felt someone should have called me. Greeting area very disorganized. I stood waiting by my vehicle 15 minutes when when someone would be right with me. Today was very different all went well.
I purchased a new RAV4 and traded in another RAV4. It was a straight forward deal and no-fuss negotiation with Trevor and Jim Crocker sales manager. As opposed to other dealerships I dealt with in the past, I did not have to go into endless sessions about them pushing extended warranties etc.Overall, pleasant to deal with and great price in current corrupt market. Would definitely recommend Prime Toyota for new car purchases.
Ive been taking my 4Runners for service to Prime for 6 years. Had a couple of bad service experiences in the past but stuck with them and things improved.Today my service rep was Christina and she was amazing. Very professional, courteous and her follow up was impressive.Honestly the best auto service rep Ive dealt with and this is my 7th 4Runner!

Had an appointment at 3:30pm. Waited in my car 20 mins before someone checked me in. Asked for oil change and tire rotation and to check tire pressure. Waited over 3 hrs for a simple check.Very disappointed with staff. Will not be back.Tire pressure light was still on when left and didnt even look like they rotated the tires. Horrible service.

I always get the best deal here without too much haggling. The sales person (Alexis was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and patient, answering and explaining all questions that were thrown at her. Fast service, helpful and friendly staff. The only thing I wish would improve is their tracking system, files. In the last three times I have been in they have told me I needed spark plugs replaced despite my having them replaced at their facility in the past year and a half.
I have been doing business with Prime for over 30 years. I’ve always been treated fairly and received excellent service. A very professional company with capable people.
Car was their for 20 plus days, Brought it in for a undercarriage rattle and sunroof rattle. Was told I needed to replace the entire sunroof at a cost of 3200.00. They could not locate the undercarriage rattle. This is supposed to be a Toyota Dealership. I have another shop lined up to address the issues. Updated 10/8/21, turns out it was just the brakes making the noise. pretty bad a Totota dealership cant address brake issues. So i will NOT be going to prime Toyota for my RAV4 needs. i have a very goo shop now. Good riddance. dont ask me to call to address any issues you never pick up the phone
John Harmon is the man! Went to John at Prime because my brothers have been going to him for years. Called John and told him what we wanted. He got us into 2 brand new 2021 vehicles at a price point I liked. Very accessible by phone and text. He is funny and friendly. Then went to the finance guy, Dave, for all the paperwork. He was a riot!!! Really enjoyed working with him. I’ve been buying from a dealership closer to home for the last 12 years. Drove an hour to visit Prime Toyota in Saco. I would recommend Prime to all my friends! Great work guys!!!! 10 stars!!!

I’ve been a Prime customer at Hyannis Toyota and Hanover MA and Saco ME Mercedes I I Realize they were sold to new owners but the service waiting room at Toyota Saco was shabbyNo snacks (even for purchase .The worst part was the actual service itself.I was told that the tires were wearing unevenly and I needed an alignment, They couldn’t show me the degree. But THAT’S WHAT ROTATION IS FORThe tire manager told me Maine roads are banked such that they wear tires unevenly and that anyway myToyota required alignment (once a year standard —regardless of miles? )This a real scam

I recently bought a Tacoma and opted to pay for a protective coat on the underside. I was told Prime Toyota would soon contact me to schedule an appt. I waited a few weeks, heard nothing, and contacted them. I was told they forgot. I made an appt and made sure to select the option of having a rental car while mine was in the shop. I was told I could drop my truck off first thing in the morning and it would be ready in the evening.When I dropped off the truck, I was told there was no reservation made for a rental. Luckily another customer happened to drop off a Corolla.It takes over an hour to get back and forth to Prime, so I made arrangements with life/work to make it happen.By afternoon, I hadnt heard from Prime and called them up. They told me it would take longer than a day, making my work/life plans of no use.I tried to make new arrangements and was directed to the voice mail of a service manager. I still havent heard back, still havent received my truck, but I did receive a prompt request for this satisfaction survey...Without exception, everyone at prime was kind and personable, but the organization overall lacks a level of competence that provides me with any assurance as to the quality of their work or ability to operate with even minimal levels of professionalism.Toyotas are great vehicles & Prime is full of decent folks, I hope they improve their weaknesses to match their strengths.
Fantastic experience. Gwen and the whole team were wonderful to us. I called to schedule a test drive for a Rav4 Prime. They did not have one that day but let us test drive a hub due to it having similar features. We did not get pressured to buy a vehicle we did not want. Instead the Rav4 Prime was held for us so we could test drive it and buy.The whole process was so seamless that I didnt even realize we were going to be able to take it home the day we bought it. We scheduled the test drive for 6pm and had the vehicle by 8pm. I even got set up with new insurance that was much cheaper than my current insurance. O would recommend this dealership to anybody looking for a vehicle.
Brought my FJ Cruiser in for an oil change and inspection of a check-engine light today. Was told it would take an extra 30 minutes for analysis by Amy at the service center. After 2.5 hours with zero checking in by staff, I asked for my vehicle to be pulled out of queue so I could be on my way. At that point Amy verbatim said they just drained the car, which was a lie in an attempt to get me to stay I assume. Although generally courteous, didnt receive an actual apology and was on my way after nearly 3 hours. Will be bringing by business to Toyota of Portsmouth going forward (a dealership I relied on for great service in the past). I rarely leave reviews, but felt compelled to after todays treatment.

Not a good one. Got there and found out that my appointment that I scheduled wasnt correct. Took 5 hours longer than anticipated. The only thing that was good was the young lady in the rental dept that had an awesome personality and made my morning better. You need more people like her. Also my gas cap was snapped in 2 . Luckily I was able to fix it. Also did t get washed. Definitely thinking about shopping another dealer for my next vehicle.
