This place was out of this world. The reviews are true, the kindest people and best service AND incredible flavors with a generous price. We drove out of our way to get here and SO glad we did at our last stop from our week in HI before flying home. Worth the drive from Honolulu.

The shave ice was delicious! We had strawberry, blue Hawaii, and lemonade. We got a regular size and shared it between two people and couldnt even finish it. It was the only shaved ice we got while in Hawaii (so had nothing to compare it to) and we loved it, but the location was a bit out of the way, off the highway, and in a commercialized shopping area. Still great service and great shave ice if youre nearby!

Currently take out only. Really loved their shave ice and special flavor suggestions! My only qualm was that a special flavor came out to almost $12 with all the fixins! The special ice cream (anything besides vanilla) was worth it, but also would have been great as a stand-alone.Check them out for their yummy flavors, but also keep in mind other great shave ice places in the area for more every day grinds at more moderate prices.

When in Ewa Beach make sure you stop here! Yummy shaved ice, and ice cream, with very generous portions. The owner is there every day and will serve you himself. Make sure you get condensed milk and Li Hing powder.

I was hoping that I could find some shave ice on Oahu that was just as good as some of the places on Maui. I stumbled upon this place and it seemed really good so I wanted to give them a shot, only to be highly disappointed.I hate writing this, but I dont understand how this place has such great reviews. There really were no positive things I could recall from coming here. I ordered shave ice with tigers blood, vanilla ice cream on the bottom, and mochi balls, and in total me and my family got three shaved ice.First off, the texture and consistency of the ice was just alright, it was a bit too hard and chunky. But the main thing that did it for me were the flavors and the syrups.Every time I took a bite, it was just a mouthful of sweetness and sugar. Not only that but the syrups just tasted extremly fake and processed. In addition to that, each flavor did not taste even remotely close to what they were supposed to be. The syrups kind of tasted like nothing, and it was just sugar. I really wonder if the syrups were expired or old. However, it doesnt stop there, and this is probably the biggest turn-off for me and the shave ice. The huge turn-off was that every, single, flavor, tasted EXACTLY like bubble gum. Its so weird how literally every single flavor tasted just like bubble gum, as if all the syrups were mixed with bubble gum, and personally I am not a fan at all of bubble gum flavored things. The ice cream at the bottom of my bowl was just alright too, there was something of about it too. Same with the mochi, it was alright but something was off about it.Im not going to lie but I couldnt even finish the shave ice because of how revolting it was. Overall, I was very disappointed because all the reviews seems good but in reality it was not at all. It was just mouthfuls of sugar and fakeness. I really do wonder if everything was expired or gone bad, or if thats just how it always is. But I was just very dissatisfied and very disappointed.

Great ice cream with awesome flavors to choose from. They also sell shave ice and crepes, which we will come back to ry. Waffle bowl however, was stale and thin. Didnt go well with the ice cream as waffle bowls should when theyre fresh with a crunch. Staff manager and young girl was nice and friendly. Cashier doesnt smile and looks mad.

Absolutely delicious shave ice and ice cream. We stopped here after swimming at Koolina and we were very happy that we did. The atmosphere was excellent, even though we were unable to eat inside because of Covid restrictions. The people working the counter were courteous and helped us with deciding. The macadamia nut ice cream was especially yummy. Highly recommended!

One of our most favorite places while we were vacationing in Hawaii...Island Shave Ice was amazing! Pina Colada is a must have. And not just the shave ice, but the ice cream too, handmade flavors (made by the owners) including my favorite Chocolate Macadamia Nut. The owner Gary is one of the nicest people youll meet on the island. Fair price, amazing service, and yummiest shave ice and ice cream youll find in Oahu.

Nice place! My husband had the Kona ice cream and I had the Lava Flow shave ice with vanilla ice cream in the bottom.

Easily the best shave ice on the island, went to 5 others while I was here and this was the only one that was amazing. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near looking for shave ice. The lemonade was great, raspberry was good and the melon finally tasted different from the Hawaiian snow brand one they have at almost every other place.

Went there with my friend today as we were looking for something sweet to eat. We both got the lava and it was so good. The gentleman that helped us was super nice and the place smelled of delicious waffle cone. A must try!

Loved the mango cream, coconut cream, and ube ice creams!! Got the triple scoop for $7.84 to share with the husband and preschooler, and it was perfect! The flavors were sweet and creamy and fresh. They have crepes and shave ice as well, but Im an ice cream girl, through and through! Clean dining area, lots of seating, and even a bench outside.

Shave ice was ok I ordered the mango/ banana with condensed milk topping my son went in and bought for me while I wait in the car. When I got it didnt have any condensed milk topping and when I ate it the shave ice the center didnt have any syrup just ice. So I was very disappointed but because it was such a hot day instead of taking back to make a complaint I just ate it to cool off. Hope this doesnt happen again if I do decide to go back. I will bring it back to complain if it happens again! So I hope they read this so they can correct their mistake.

I have traveled around the island for 3 weeks visiting many of the top shave ice spots and this one has become one of my favorite. The ice here is good and not as grainy as Matsumotos in the north shore. And the flavors here are very light and rich. The best part though was the ice cream in the middle. They use a local Hawaiian made ice cream for the center and you get to choose the flavors. Once you add some condensed milk on top, you end up with a quality shave ice.What makes this place extra special though is they actually make crepes and milkshakes too.

My family and I loved our visits to Island Shave Ice and Creamery. Their product is amazing (try the Sandy Beach!), and their customer service is top notch! I thought it was really good! My favorite I tried was Pina Colada. I also got lemonade and raspberry and it was so good! I liked the vanilla ice cream and sweetened condensed milk on it. I really enjoyed it!

Went to Island Creamery today 2/6/2021 P.M. to get shaved ice. We usually go there for shaved ice regularly. BUT today, my shaved ice was terrible! It appears that a young man was given the task to make my shaved ice. It became obvious that he had little experience in making shaved ice. On his first attempt, he tried to pack the ice with the spoon but instead was cutting and shoveling the ice out of the bowl. Realizing that about 1/3 of the ice was not in the bowl, he tried to fill the bowl again. Because he didnt want to dig into the ice, he never packed the ice into a ball. As a result, he didnt put too much syrup on the shaved ice because the ice was quickly melting when he poured the syrup onto the ice. When I told him that he needed to put more syrup because one side was not covered, he poured the syrup only to see the shaved ice lose its shape and resembled slush in a bowl. To make matters worse, a female coworker was watching the young man struggle and did nothing. This young female did my wifes shaved ice and it was properly done. I was totally disappointed that I wouldnt recommend people go there, if the employees dont take pride in the product they sell.

This place is AMAZING! Owner was so kind and helpful. We ordered crepes and shaved ice. Everything was spectacular. I highly recommend this shop. I recommend it for customer service and the product!

Closed right on our faces when we had been in line for 20 minutes waiting when they were supposed to be open another 15 minutes. Used to love this place but between the absurd lines these days and this type of service I’m done with them.

The shave ice is awesome!! On par with matsumotos. Ice is shaved very fine. Pictured is the regular size with azuki beans and condensed milk.

Arrived 5 minutes before closing. We were welcomed with the aloha spirit and enjoyed our conversation with the owner, Gary. Delicious cold snack that was well needed after a day of hiking and hanging out at the beach. Great prices as well!

Im from Kailua and I grew up with Island snow. I have to say this smokes Island snow. Im sorry Island snow but Island shave ice and Creamery got you beatMy son was able to put cookies and cream ice cream at the bottom of his rainbow Shave Ice.Their ice is shaved so fine like powder and their Sarah is not overpowering sugary. It tastes amazing me creamy. Unbelievable for Shave Ice.Better yet on the by a local family.

This is the 3rd or 4th best ice cream Ive ever had. Its better than anything I had in Japan and is of comparable quality to some of my favorite creamerys in Utah.I 100% reccomend going here. You will NOT be disappointed.

Does not compare to Matsumotos. My shave ice was pure ice at the bottom, no flavors, and it was very hard and chunky instead of soft and edible. That gets 1 star. The crepes were a 3 star. My kids loved them.
