This is still one of my favorite golf facilities. How could it not be? They have everything right there. The course is pristine and well groomed, challenging, yet fair. The golf shop is first class. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The practice facilities are terrific. Since the put the computers in at the driving range, it has added a whole new analytical dimension to ones practice sessions. The only drawback is how crowded its become. Gone are the days when you could roll up and find an empty stall at any time. But that was the whole point...bringing more folks to the game. Good for the Mortons. What a great legacy to have attached to your name. (Bring back the Burger Dogs though!)
Huge range, practice holes behind the range you can rent hourly (150 yards), three practice greens, and two courses. Great facility. McKenzie is a nice course. There is no turn, you go out to 10 and come back. Greens consistently good.
The fees are reasonable. They just punched the greens when we played, but otherwise, the greens are good. They do have a great driving range, making me wish I lived closer.
New driving range is awesome. And you can buy drinks right there. Great bartender. Great smile and very friendly thanks for great service Megan
Its a beautiful course friendly people in the driving range is open till midnight they also do live concerts every other Friday and Saturday they also have put in the top Tracer new restroom facilities a bar Thursday Friday and Saturday nights fully stocked and we are having long drive competitions and ladies nights coming up soon
This was a cool place to come to. But not anymore. I stopped here in my RV one night around 8:30 pm. To eat dinner and plan my route. I have a 2018 43 foot Monaco, with a approx value of 850,000 dollars. The grounds keeper apparently thought it would be funny to to the sprinklers on and aim them towards the RV. What he should of done, was be professional and come talk to me. I know they are having problems with the homeless. If they want to drive there paying customers away. Well that just bad business.
Visited the Pro Shop and was assisted by Lane Walters. He is top notch and really knows his stuff.
Slowest round ever. Reserved a tee time riding yet there was no cart available until 15 min after my tee time had passed. Blame that on the Marshall, if there was one. We had 3 groups bottleneck at the 7th hole. Never laid eyes on a Marshall. But I did see, what Im guessing was a homeless man, taking advantage of the beautiful day on a leisurely ride on a moped around the cart path and through fairways.Aside from everything that made this one of the worst rounds and wasted money, the course was in really good shape. Fast greens and tough pin placement made it almost as challenging as keeping your focus during a 4hr 10 hole round. After all that I still gave it 3 stars because, its golf.
Has a very inexpensive driving range to have beers and chill.
Great addition to the driving range with top tracer technology.
😬It gets busy! so get there at least an hour or so before dark to make sure you get a lane. great night time driving range though! so much fun!
Everything about this place is on point very nice facility clean courteous people great layout easy to maneuver finally nice people to be around its refreshing good job haggin oaks two thumbs up in my book I love that golf course and the driving range the putter practice green could be maybe a little bigger other than that highly recommend even if you just want to get out and go hit some golf balls.
Took two group Golf Lessons! The instructor was great..We will be back. Lovely Golf Course.
Fun beautiful nice and relaxing ... I love the experience ....
What an amazing experience with my daughter and grandsons, Lo what a great teacher you are.i never have ⛳ golfed because but it those balls super fast and far thanks to Los teaching me what you need to do to get the ball in the Air.. Happy Mothers Day ever mom
Went to play on arcade side the course was in terrible conditions. The ground was hard wood tees broke off in the tee boxes we were there with spark Golf and with that many people paying to play after 5 pm YOU would think the management wouldnt shove us onto a COURSE that could ONLY be described as pitiful ??? If I were the management at Sparks Id definitely demand we only play on the Mackenzie side EVER as THAT course is only minimally maintained too WHEN compared to OTHER courses in the area ??? Pretty sad all the way around ???
Super wide open. Fast greens. Very enjoyable.
Friendly peeps and lots of fun energy.New outdoor bar for hard drinks too. 👍
Great place to golf, the pro shop has the best customer service.
Nice playing night ball at the driving range.
Got some new Golf Tracker technology going in. In June youll be able to track distance spin and other info from you ball strikes & be able to virtually be able to play lots of famous golf courses. Open till midnight for now be maybe even later as things open up!
The golf shop was a little crazy with post Christmas returns so it made paying for my round and getting a cart a 15 minute process. The course though was in great shape especially after that guy drove across all the greens a couple weeks ago and a couple solid days of rain. Ill be back soon because Haggin is still one of the most consistent and accessible golf courses in the Sacramento area.
Fun course. Absolutely beautiful landscape. Highly maintained.
Good enough for practice but no shade. You need strong sun block.
Fun golf courses
OMG you all need to have lunch at this restaurant. Great food, great presentation, great service.
Stopped in today for a couple small things and a new bag, great selection of bags and all accessories. Alysa was very knowledgeable and helpful on the bags, guided me to a nice ping bag that will fit needs perfectly. Prices in store were actually pretty competitive to what I saw on line. This will be my new go to place for golfing gear. Thanks!
Excellent people . Great facilities. Clean and very entertaining . I will be back!
Great place to play
I have bought my whole bag from them. Fittings are amazing and most recently they stunned me with the customer service. I had a driver shaft break four days before a tournament I had been looking forward to. Being from out of the area with no retailers nearby and the manufacturer back ordered on that shaft, I thought I was out of luck. I called David in the pro shop to see if they could help in anyway as a last ditch effort and I was told he would see what he could do. Two days later the shaft showed up on my desk and I cannot say enough about the customer service experience I had with David and the whole crew at Haggin Oaks. Great courses, immaculate facilities, and even better customer service! Go see them!
Like the course, staff great
Bums frequent the space often, not only that the course was in poor shape last time and was still charged premium rates, wont be back for awhile. Driving range is another story l, fun times and pretty large, used to be better.
Love Arcade Creek... best place in Sac for newbie golfers like myself
The driving range is Kool as the hangout, the staff in the pro shop are helpful and friendly, and the course I still have yet to play is kept nicely. I love this place, and for a working class golfer this is the place to be.
My 1st time at Haggin Oaks and it was a very nice experience ....... If you get the chance I strongly recommend it, I played the MacKenzie course which is an excellent flat course ..... if you are a beginner to intermediate the Arcade Creek course is better .
Great place for golf shopping and eating
Went to the golf shop to buy a new golf glove. Found an abundance of gloves varying in price.
Grass starting to emerge, should be nice in late Feb.
Went as an 80 yr old (< 10 hip )to assess club distance AND swingTwo hr session concluded early ; did work many iron combos, but fewer driver optionsNo mention on swing; emailed later- no response.Bathrooms out of the center 😒Not worth the 2 hour drive for me, but have never seen SO much merchandise andSuch marginal genuine. customer concern
Great golf course
Went to the retail shop to look at putters today. Selection was so so, and other than a lady instructor that came by to do some shopping for her training needs, the other staff were useless. Its still a big store and they let you test equipment and accessories, so its not all bad.
Great shape great greens
I drive from S.Sac to hit the driving range, and its worth it
My first time playing here pretty cool track, shot a 84.
Typical muni course with heavy use. Winter conditions with little grass growth and some bare patches.
Greens were the quickest Ive seen in awhile. Rough not too tall but some bare spots like most munis, fairways in good conditions.
Spoke with a sales rep and he did a good job of giving exceptional advice about the purchase of my first golf set. After spending under 2 grand on clubs they had to special order, he informed me that he will be giving me a call the next day to give me the details on tracking and when I should be receiving them. He did not. I called 4 days later asking for the sales rep who helped me to help me out and they told me he wasnt available and that I should speak with their transactions department. I called their transactions department and they told me to call back the following day to receive the tracking number because my package wasnt placed on order yet even though its been 4 days. I called the following day for the tracking number and they informed me that their system is down again, so they told me they couldnt do anything for me until its back up. About 9 days after I purchased the clubs I called them back and asked for my tracking number and they once again told me their system was down. They called back an hour later that day, gave me my tracking number and told me that my order should be there in a couple of days. Still havent received my golf clubs yet. This shop needs to do a better job with their customer service and their sales reps need to follow through instead of treating them like used cars. Would not recommend special ordering or making large purchases at this shop.
Course was in great shape.
Great golf course! Fun to play!!
Awesome golf course.Mckenzie bar and grill has great food and beer.get the beer tower 👌
Old golf course but its in pretty good condition
What a great place to work on, try clubs and buy for your golf game!
Golfboards are a blast. The course was in good shape and beverage carts were everywhere. Got a great deal on a tee time also, so will definitely go back if the opportunity arises.
Ok municipal course
I want to thank Calvin for helping me with my club fitting at Haggin Oaks. He is very good at what he does and I couldn’t be happier with how good I felt after he got me all set up with the right clubs, excited for my new Titleist clubs to get delivered. Thanks guys
Its not REALLY a super shop if they dont carry clothing for ALL golfers including +size guys. One pair of shorts over size 42 waist in the whole store! An extensive big and tall section would really make it a super store or one stop shop for bigger golfers.
Ready to try out the new, ping 425 family, this spring.🏌️
Fun public course. Pace of play was too slow, but it was busy and all courses have this issue from time to time. Had a good time.
Good course....not hard just long
Good
Came here with my friends on a Monday night, not busy at all. It’s like 16 bucks for 150 balls. Not to expensive but packed on weekends so come at night on a weekday...
Excellent experience, friendly staff, course in great shape!
A fun place to play golf and great place to shop for golf equipment! Our SIR group plays here several times a year and we find it very enjoyable. I find the course(s) to be sometimes wet and mushy in spots depending on weather conditions.
I have to concur with one of the other folks who wrote a review -- this course is quickly dropping down farther and farther on my list. Ive played golf for 20 years, so I consider myself pretty knowledgable around what to expect from golf course management and staff on both private and public courses. That being said, the GM at this course is downright indignant. He has no concern for perception and no apparent concern for customer service. He never has a welcoming look on his face, and in fact, constantly looks smug.In fairness, the staff at the clubhouse/grill is wonderful. Ive also had more positive experiences in the Golf Super Shop than negative. The starters and marshals have also been quite pleasant. The primary problems with this course are the GM, the cost, pace of play with no enforcement from staff, and now the foot golf that is taking over the front nine of the Arcade course. My experience with the new golf carts they have is that they make a low grade high pitch sound, which is a piercing annoyance throughout the round.I have decided not to go back to Haggin Oaks and instead start exploring other courses in the Sacramento area. Ive been playing there consistently for the last two years and thats long enough to make an informed decision about moving on.
Not bad arcade side mackinze side is better
Fun course
Jenny arranged for me to buy a ScottyCameron Putter and she had it ready for me when I walked into the Haggin Oaks Super Store. This was first class service with a smile!
I love the whole experience. You have a practice course. 2 coyrses to play on and practice hitting the balls and a little mini course. I love this place
No Military discount. No senior discount. Most other courses have this. $61.00 on a non holiday Friday with torn up greens is too much.
Great customer service, both on the phone & in the golf shop. Store was easy to get to, nicely laid out, had a large selection of golf equipment & accessories. I really appreciated that the sales people were courteous, knowledgeable, & very helpful. I would definitely recommend Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop.
Now the weather is better plan to continue our Thursday range practice. Good food.
The course is in great shape following the Amateur State Fair Tournament
Its not Augusta or Cypress, but MacKenzie designed a nice Muni track here at Haggin Oaks. Bonus... The restaurant/bar has really good for and several beers on tap.
Ive been playing here since 1955 when I was 5 years old 😁
A very good golf range to practice ur golf swing. Very reasonable priced bucket especially if u get the Groupon deal. They also have a very good putting green to practice at as well as oversized chessboard for the people I bring in if they dont wish to practice golf.
Great shop. Awesome selection, very helpful staff. Taking lessons here with Shaun, hes done amazing things to my ball striking consistency.
Food was good.we all had either club sandwhich chicken sandwhich,or patty melts. They were all great. We sat out on the patio it is a sunny day and beautiful outside.
I would not recommend using the repair center here. I recently bought a new driver that has a shorter lighter shaft (60 grams) than my previous longer 70 gram, stiffed tip shaft.. My dispersion was all over the place with new driver shaft. Easy fix back to the old shaft. Wrong! The the guy in charge of the repair center spent 20 minutes trying to convince me the shaft would not change anything in my swing. I mean WTF!! He first said well it will take a few days to change out that shaft. Uh ok. Then he said well it is only a quarter inch difference in length it wont change anything. I said it is a heavier longer shaft that has the tip is stiffed. It feels way better for my swing. So he than put that shafts on the frequency machine. The new evenflow shaft freq was 240. My previous shaft freq was 280 he said that is not much difference, lol. I told the guy just to give me my club back and Ill go somewhere else. I have used this repair cent lots of times for grips, club repair, etc and this was by far my worst experience. I will never be using them again. Very disappointed.
Good driving range. Always open. Buckets not cheap but not overpriced either.
It has one of the best golf complexes Ive ever seen
Dont golf
Very given course
Great place lot of fun nice course good specials .
Dropped in to Haggin Oaks to get my clubs regripped by Don, who will have you out the door in FIFTEEN minutes and a hundred and something dollars. Great service...
Always in great condition.❤️
The golf course is in great shape. Taylor made my day with the excellent service she provided with a beautiful smile.
Has some age showing but still a nice place to play. The putting green is fun.
Great group of employees that work at the wedding hall..
Called this pro shop today, and was so impressed with the service, all attention was directed to my needs, and not to sell me something that I dont need, customer first looking forward to my appointment next week.
I just used the driving range today but everything was perfect no problems getting a slot no problems getting balls everybody was polite and helpful it was just too hot to do anymore than hit balls at the range............
The staff is over the top polite and helpful. Great prices, selection and overall great store.
Didnt realize they opened until 530 on Christmas! Super down to earth staff and the place is always clean.
Awesome golf course
Great range, big selection in golf shop. Good value on each of the courses.
Good Dudes in the food truck... Merry Christmas!
Decent 18 hole course. Fairways are mostly Bermuda grass, weeds and hard pan during summer months and could really benefit from seeding and more watering due to the hot temps. Tee boxes are ok and greens above average for a muni course that gets alot of play. The basic rule I was taught as a kid was to repair your ball mark and two others, which seems to ignored by the newer generation of golfers who also like to play loud music while golfing. Easy course to walk and not very long, even if played from the back tees. Close proximity to airport and train tracks is a bit annoying when hitting a shot or putting. There are homeless people that live in the bushes and adjacent creek that constantly walk or ride their bicycles on the course and take baths in the drinking water faucets.I have witnessed them almost getting hit by balls because they magically appear out of nowhere. I can just imagine the lawsuit & payout a personal injury attorney would fabricate should one of these bums get hit with a ball you hit. Fairways & Greens!
I used one of their clubs and it was already in terrible condition. The club broke after a few swings and they made me pay $25
