I purchased several fixtures from Canada Lighting Experts, and the fixtures arrived fairly quickly in British Columbia. The fixtures were good quality, and I had no problems. I would buy from this outfit again. I hesitated to purchase from them because I had read a wide range of reviews, but I had a very pleasant shopping experience, and even spoke to someone to get some technical information about my fixtures who was very helpful. No complaints, and no problems.

Horrendous customer service. Also gives price in Canadian dollars but at the last step before purchase, says you will be charged in US dollars. I would recommend shopping elsewhere.

The product variety is great, which is why they get 2 stars, but the customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE. I had to contact their customer service a number of times, due to issues with my orders - mainly broken glass and items not having arrived by the guaranteed date (some of their products have this, but not all). The issues were dealt with quickly, but theres very little communication. They never respond within the 48-72 hours that they claim, if they respond at all. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone!

The absolute worst company Ive dealt with. Ordered lights in September, as Im writing this, it is Christmas. Lights have not arrived nor have they been refunded. Theyre absolutely impossible to reach. Forever on hold when you call them and the person never has a clue what is going on. Also never follow up like they say they will. Emails will go unresponded. No replies there whatsoever.Can only call this a scam and would recommend everyone to just go to your local home improvement store!

If I could leave less than a one star review, I would have. I ordered a beautiful, $300 sconce from them and it arrived in a box that was in perfect condition and was encased in Styrofoam that was also in perfect condition. The light itself, however, was cracked in 2 spots, thus obviously damaged by the manufacturer and not during shipping. Because Im in Canada, it would have cost me as much as the sconce to send it back and get a replacement, so I emailed Customer Service with photos of the damage and asked for a discount, since I now have to keep and hang a damaged light fixture. That was 2 weeks and 2 emails ago and I havent heard a thing. If you are looking for Customer Service, look elsewhere for your light fixtures.

Horrible after-sales service!! This company is quick to accept your purchase, but SLOW to ship and/or to accept your order cancellation. They do not respond to emails, basically, customer service is non-existent! I have requested for an order cancellation over a week ago because my order wasnt shipping out after over one week of ordering it, with zero response from customer service. They have my $$$ and Im having to chase them around for a refund (over $1000), its been over a week. So far NOTHING!! Say away from this company! Not to mention, theres absolutely nothing CANADIAN, or EXPERT about them!!!

This is NOT a Canadian company!! Do not be fooled - their service is terrible. In august I was interested in an item that was out of stock, I asked to be notified when it was back in. In November I received and email to say it was shipped!! I tried to stop it but they said it was too late. When I received it I asked for a return label and they said that was up to me - and I had to ship it to the US!!!!! Totally misleading - they shouldnt be allowed to operate under this name.

I would give them -5 stars if I could. Terrible service and products. Our mirror took 2 months to get delivered and it got damaged during shipping so it never arrived. It got replaced and took another month to get it shipped but at that point we requested a refund which we received. However, we still got the mirror delivered.....broken AGAIN. completely shuttered and we were left to clean up the pieces of glass that went everywhere when we opened it. The packaging was terrible for a mirror. No doubt it got shattered. So after 3 months we are back to square one and need to find another mirror.

I’d avoid them at all cost. I’d give negative stars if possible. You can wait on the phone for hours and no one will every pick up. They are neither Canadian nor experts. We ordered two lights. One arrived broken the other never arrived. They blamed covid even though the initial light was shipped out within 3 days. I’ve never had to many headaches to get a refund. It’s been a month and they’re impossible to reach. Terrible customer service. Terrible company.

Id give no stars if possible. Nothing Canada about this company. Nothing but rude unhelpful Americans answering, which is odd. The absolute worst support Ive ever encountered. They only answer the phone if youre ordering something new, otherwise they force help via email.

Despite having maple leaves all over the site, this us a US based company and all prices are in US dollars, but this is only disclosed once in fine print on the payment method page. Its not anywhere on the order confirmation, and its nowhere to be found during the shopping process. Imagine my surprise when my $2,000 lighting order (with prices that were ok, but not great) was actually $3,100 CAD. I am FURIOUS. Customer service was no help, so now I am waiting to hear back from a manager.Update: They got back to me and offered to split the difference. The site still has no indication that prices are in USD, and they have even added graphics to highlight that duties and fees are included which reads The Price You See Is The Price You Pay! which is technically true, but totally misleading. Updated from one star to two because they at least got back to me and tried to make it right.

Terrible customer service. I ordered online and realized immediately that I ordered wrong finish and spoke with them immediately on chat (which is the only customer service available) where they told me they couldnt change my order but would submit a cancellation request and it would take 1 to 2 business days. Instead after 2 business days, they denied my cancellation request, and when I talked to agent ON CHAT they said a case manager would call me within 24 hours. Guess what - no call received. In the meantime they charged my credit card and said my order already shipped even though Ive received no shipping information from them. They are crooked as they day is long and this will be the last they see of my business.

I was frustrated to find out that I was charged in US dollars. I called the company to ask why the charge on my credit card was higher than the final total on my invoice. It was explained to me that all their prices are in USD, and that it is very obvious that this is the case at the checkout. After the frustrating phone call and poor customer service, I went back to the website to try and order another item to see how clear it was that the item is in USD...it is NOT clear at all. NOWHERE on the page does it say anything about prices being in USD. Buyer beware.

SCAMMERSI placed an order for some exterior wall sconces. The site stipulated they were in stock. Once they processed my credit card, they send a notice that the product was back ordered 3 months! Lotsa luck cancelling the order. I waited on the phone for hours, no one ever answers. Sent emails, no answer.Finally found the obscure cancel button on a link they place on their order confirmation email. They respond by sending a notification that they will reimburse 246$ of the 546$ they stole from me. With no explanation.(still waiting for my card to be credited by the way!)Thank you, lesson learnedThey insinuate they are Canadian to prey on our sense of trust.They claim the product is in stockThey make it very difficult for you to cancel your order despite their fault.If all else fail they issue you less then half your money back.Do your self a favor and purchase from your local Canadian lighting store.

The customer service is terrible. No one there knows what they are doing. They promise a weeks delivery which is a complete joke. Waited twice now in Q for delivery answers since you can only contact these guys by their IM service. I would pay extra to deal with a company with actual customer service.

Canadian Lighting Experts are not experts in lighting and they are certainly not a Canadian company. Their real name is One Stop Lighting which is an American company. This is the name you see on your statement.They are clear about the fact they pay the customs and duty charges but not that the pricing you see is in American dollars. You dont find out until you see your credit card statement. No where on check out is there a US dollar sign next to the total.When I called to talk to a customer service rep to I was repeatedly talked over by her. She would not give me her name. I asked to speak to a manager. She told me I would get a call from her in 48 to 72 hours.I would not recommend this company, they are not transparent about their pricing and their customer service reps are rude.

This is an American company that serves the Canadian market. We were pleased with the selection and all-in pricing that is offered, but be advised that prices are shown in $USD. The shipments were prompt and we will continue visiting this site as we need more lighting.

I try and buy Canadian as much as I can, so I was surprised that the company was actually American! They convert everything for you etc..and make it easy for you with the duty etc...I bought two ceiling fans. They sent me the wrong colour, and did not return my phone calls about this. In fact, it was difficult to get through to them once I had placed the order.I found the experience frustrating and disappointing!

Company is terrible, even though it calls itself Canadian company. It charges you in US dollars which is in fine fine print. They will charge you even if they don’t have the item in stock so your credit card gets charged for US dollars. Then you get a e-mail saying the item is not in stock and your credit card charge is reversed but at the lower exchange rate so you lose out anywhere from $10-$30 per transaction. This, even though they never had the item to purchase in the first place. I finally got an item that they did have in stock, but it was wrong so I returned it and it took them over six weeks to return my money with the same exchange rate differential which cost me $50, plus over $100 to ship it back. They never respond to emails. I finally only got action to get my money back when I asked American Express to investigate. Stay away at all costs.

This is not a canadian company. Their name is very deceiving. They promised me 1 week delivery and it has been 12 days and I still have not received my lights. The tracking number they provided doesnt quite work. All I can see is that shipment was created but no other details such as an estimated delivery date.
