My experience has always been unremarkable. They carry a large variety of foods to choose from. A deli and ready cooked foods, prepackage veggie packs, a bakery. I always find what I am looking for, They also have a pharmacy and a Quest lab, by appointment only. Safeway is my go to store because its convenient, only a block away.

Open until 2am….cant beat that. Cameron (I hope that’s who it actually is - going by name on receipt) the cashier is very nice & efficient. If you are there at 1am-2am as you exit get ready for the few weirdos in the parking lot. Nobody goes for a bicycle ride in the grocery store parking lot at 2am…..unless…..you’re up to no good. You could be just drunk & having fun that’s easy to spot.

Different layout than my usual store. But this one seems to be doing better at keeping items in stock.

Great products as Safeway has. Love this place. Im very grateful for the hours of closing on Friday until 2am, because everything on Friday nights closes at 9pm. However, this means thats the case for everyone else in Sacramento, I would exercise caution when going late. The staff was kind and helpful.

Store is small have to go to another store to finish a quick shopping trip. Also a lot of clutter everywhere as there seems no real place for products. Needs a remodel or change to like a quick stop type of store.

The whole experience i had shopping at Safeway was very enjoyable. The employees were all very friendly and I was able to get my food in a fairly reasonable ammount of time. I enjoy the club card. I find the bargains helpful in saving money.

This Safeway is half the size of others and has a poor selection of merchandise. This is the only Safeway Ive been to that doesnt sell cigarettes! They also only carry Lays potato chips (accept small lunch packs they carry for $1.99 each which is a rip off). Thats right, they dont carry Doritos, Pringles, ruffles, or Cheetos!. Their customer service is friendly but slow. I recommend shopping at other markets if your looking to stock up on normal lunch goods carried everywhere else.

Ive tried being patient with this Safeway but its just getting out of hand now. Everytime I come here, usually for just a few basic needs like bread, milk, sugar, theyre always out of one of the items. The milk fridge always stinks like old milk and every time I buy milk from them the milk goes bad before the sell by date! I have no issues with other perishable items in my fridge and when I buy from the Safeway on Arden there is also no issue with that milk. Seems like perishables, specifically milk, are not being stored appropriately.

This Safeway is a smaller one, but I like it. Its well stocked, the clerks and other employees are polite and helpful. Its clean and Im usually in and out.

Good selection of products and cheap prices, wish they had one in the hood, and i didnt have to take a bus 7 miles away to get basic necessities like organic pb and J and soap thats good for you 💀 lol did someone say systemic?

This place is a pretty typical Safeway, but the store layout is not accessible. Their automatic sliding doors were out of order, so the entrance and exit were two separate very narrow doors that had to be opened manually. The isles were very narrow, and some of them had metal posts in the middle, which completely blocked wheelchair or mobility aid access.

They have some of the best bagels and they cooking every morning.

Poor service. Cashier was sullen, unfriendly. Greeting was obnoxious, insincere. I had a small amount of items and chose to bag myself. He was impatiently shoving the items toward me. Dont need this after a long day of work. This store is close to home so Ill try again in a couple of months, in hopes that hes either gone or apparent corrective action had been taken.

Typical Safeway some things overpriced however they also had products I havent seen other places like white chocolate raspberry hagen dahss bars mmmmm and also they are open until 2 am so that there makes it an extra star

Ive been going all over town looking for sugar-free Jell-O ready to eat, it seems that Raleys and Safeway are completely out of stock of both ready to eat and sugar free Jell-O Mix.I thought it was Regional Supply Chain, but just found both available at Save Mart.

I transferred here from my hometown’s Safeway store.On my first day, I was disrespected, belittled, and harassed. They also have roaches. I quit before my second shift.If you’re looking to apply here, I advise that you think hard about what type of environment you prefer to work in before you do.If you’re looking to shop here, be informed that you may not find what you’re looking for.

They just need to put more than 1 person at customer service counter. They could also put a limit of transactions you could do at 1 time. I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes because an older lady was in front of me. She took her sweet time to get her card out of her wallet then her phone rang and she just forgot what she was doing. The cashier asked her to please put the phone away call them back. She proceeds to call them back while there is 12 people ate behind me waiting to get there money orders and other stuff. He finally got her to put the phone away. Then she took 15 minutes to get her money orders together then finally she was ready to pay for them. The cashier couldnt do nothing about it. He says that more people complain because it takes so long at the customer service line because people dont have consideration toward others. This pandemic is making it harder for everyone and having to spend more time in a store than you want to is frustrating. I appreciate all the essential workers for putting thier self at risk so we can still have a somewhat normal life. GOD BLESS MERRY CHRISTMAS

I always heard it was expensive so i never really went there. I went with $140 and got everything i wanted and a bunch more. 2 thumbs up safeway 👍👍

Safeway is always a safe bet for grocery shopping. This particular store I’ve frequently visited since moving to the area in 2018. Rarely do they have long lines due to lack of cashiers, and the store is usually neatly stocked. I’ve only had one poor experience with an employee here when I asked if they had anymore of a sale item in stock and he threw a fit befitting off a 3yo, throwing things around and saying “LEMME CHECK IN BACK UGH” as he stormed off. I worked in retail for the first 6 years of my working life (1999 to 2005) and this was just a bad apple. Doesn’t detest from my 5 star review though since it was just a one time thing.

Its a grocery store. Like most Safeways deli on the left side, and produce on the right. I like it cause they have a steady supply of Pepper Plant sauce. Both with and without garlic.... P.S. I like the garlic one.

I used the bathroom which really needs attention with cleaning. I purchased a floral arrangement of red roses and silver tip Christmas sprigs.

I like going there in the evening when theres not too many people because with this pandemic going on I still see a lot of people not wearing a mask and I like the people that work the night shift there theyre cool

We were in and out rather quickly. The customer service was great. The store was clean and stocked well. The sale prices were even better.

Easy in, easy out. Great selection of prepared foods. We were staying nearby from out of town so the convenience of shopping here was great. Clean store and helpful staff. There are larger Safeway stores with a larger selection, but this is adequate for its location.

Place was clean and well kept. Associates helped me find what I needed as soon as I came in the place. Just needed two things and took less than 5 minutes to finish.Lines were fast and the cashierers were friendly. They helped packed the two items even though it was that little. Appreciated the service even how small it was.

Over priced supermarket with a great selection, but often high prices. Nice, friendly staff. Very big beverage selection including alcohol.

Im happy with the service over at the University Safeway. The parking lot is a little challenging because of the high end eateries close by, but as far as the lines in Safeway, they dont allow people to stay in line very long. Nice people!
