Hands down the best shop in the Downtown Salem area. They offer so much from rock to fossils to antique furniture. You have to really sort through all the different vendor areas. A place you can go multiple times and still not see all they have to offer. Just go down and check out for your self. I have found so many hidden gems in the here. Friendly staff and they will always help you find what your looking for. Great prices are a bonus!

This is the prime place to search for affordable antique & novelty treasures whether for someone as a gift or to treat yourself! I’ve been shopping at Engelbergs Antiks now for 7 years, and while I miss seeing Jeff & his curious corner of collections there is still so much so see!

This place is full of amazing vintage clothes, furniture and more! I cant speak highly enough on the people who work there!They are amazing through and through and there is always a special find for anybody :)

This place is huge! Antique mall is a perfect description! They rent spaces as well as owner collections for sale so the variety of items and prices as well as constant refresh and new is non stop! You can’t see it all on the first visit! Great staff and great prices. Very clean and welcoming was my first impression;) it’s a must see!

This is a fantastic Antiques Mall. A variety of vendors with something for everyone! From taxidermied turtles to retro radios and everything in between. Id highly recommend setting aside a few hours to brouse both levels of this place. Its amazing! The employees are also very polite and helpful!.

Took my daughter and was searching for vintage military items. Found that and so much more. Great variety, decent prices & super friendly staff. Just make sure you have a while to wander around and use facilities before you go. Like most places right now, bathrooms are closed and none nearby. We’ll be going back again soon!

I have been shopping here for years and just recently started buying fiestaware. I havent found any other place in the entire state that has such a great selection of FW! They have something here for everyone and the best part, you can browse for as long as you wish. Nobody harasses you or pushes you to buy anything! I always feel welcome and the staff are some of the most professional and polite people you will ever meet. Henri and her son Hank manage the entire store and trust me they know their stuff. They are extremely knowledgeable about all things collectable and they are always willing to take the time to answer your questions. I experience something new every time I come in. If you only visit one store in salem make sure its Engelberg Antiques!! You wont regret it!

If youve never been in Engelbergs you havent experienced one of the most fun and quirky antique/junk stores ever. I regularly browse the aisles and just as regularly come back with at least one thing. You never know what youre going to find, And thats the fun!

I would leave a zero star if it was possible but unfortunately it is not.I came all the way to Oregon from Washington state looking for antique stores in the hopes of coming to this place. Not even five minutes after arriving... I eyed a whole bunch of crystals(so happy... I already planned on buying.so many!!! My purse was filled with about $2900 cash by the way not to brag but I intended on coming home with a lot of stuff). Your employees informed me that my bag was too big because another customer had knocked over Crystal and didn’t give me much of a choice other than to leave with my purse filled with my money. So sorry it wasn’t up to your dress code. You lost out a lot of money and I’m not sorry

Tracy (an owner) is such a delight to talk to. She brightens my day each time I see her. They have such an eclectic collection of merchandise that youll always discover something new on each visit. They ARE open during the Quarantine. —[{Please be safe (and caring of others) by wearing a mask while visiting the store. Someones life may depend on it.} ]— They have such beautiful art and antiques, and everything seems so affordable. If youve not visited before, you must take the time to see all they have to offer.

Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass and saw the antique store was having an anniversary sale. They had lots of cool stuff. I even won a vintage mickey plush in the claw machine!! Super great experience, totally would reccomend.

Aloha from Hawaii! I visited this place many times while visiting my daughter in Salem. Its a hodge-podge of a variety of vintage items and you can find something/anything that you need to have :). The best part is the employees! Over-the-top helpful! I can go every few days and find something different to buy! I cant wait to go back!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I can always find some great treasures here. It is stuffed full of awesomeness, so it can be kind of cramped if they are really busy.. The staff is amazingly friendly, but not stalkerish. They are more than willing to carry your armloard of stuff up and hold it for you at the register so you have space to grab more.The owner is the cutest, sweetest, most fabulous lady! She gives off the fierce, old Hollywood vibe. I just want to bask in her awesomeness and hope some of it rubs off on me.

Sold me bootleg Legos and wont do a return after only 3 days. When I called to inquire about a refund, the man on the phone knew exactly what I was talking about and where they were in the store. So in my opinion, they KNOWINGLY sold counterfeit items. Never, ever shopping there again.

I had enjoyed this place in the past and have found a lot of good items here for decent prices, but my opinion changed this weekend. I was browsing through the store with a close friend and had a very pleasant time hanging out with him. Until the clerk glared at me and told me that he had camera footage of us shoplifting. He told us not to come back to that store again. I plainly explained we have never stolen anything. He showed me a grainy, small picture of the perpetrators he printed. The guy he thought I was clearly weighed more than me and barely even bore even a superficial resemblance. He accuses my friend too of having shoplifted. Same lack of resemblance in the picture of him. In fact, my friend wasn’t even the same race as the perpetrator in the picture. We both explain and then prove we didnt steal anything by pointing out the obvious differences. The manager concedes that the guys are not us and proceeds to say I am going to say I am sorry. He didnt even offer a proper and sincere apology to me and my friend. He justified it by saying that he has people who come in pairs and steal. The guy recognized me from other visits in which I had bought things in the past when I lived in Salem. You better be absolutely sure what the perpetrators look like before you start accusing innocent people of stealing!Why would I be stealing when I had bought several things there over a period of six years? And they recognized me! I wont go in there ever again for that accusation. They have lost a patron who even has brought friends and family there and gained this review.Edit: this both happened over four years ago and I wrote the review over 4 years ago as of October 2021. I felt like editing the review so bow it says this happened more recent than when I actually wrote the review.

Interesting collection of stuff, though not all of it is antique. Forgive me if I dont consider Cars (the Disney movie) old enough to be an antique. Other vintage items are impressive, though. Quite a varied selection.

Great antique store packed with little gems! This particular spot is more of a collective, featuring a number of individual peoples collections. This means items arent necessarily all grouped by category, but browsing is still easy and rewarding!

Haunted downstairs but very amazing store! Love it here. Feel at home in the store. Staff has always been welcoming. I was tempted to put it at one star so people wouldnt go to it so I could but more stuff, but I had to be honest. I love it here.(Be wary of the downstairs. If you hear her do NOT go to the back. Always go with someone else. Keep them next to you.)

Really cool, antique atmosphere. It has a really classic antique store feel and the owner shared cool building history. The sales item organization was a little random - overall great vibe though!

Sometimes I find a gem at a great price. The staff is hit or miss and that mostly depends on how I am dressed. If I am slumming it they give me the stink eye. If I clean myself up real pretty and they are not busy they will chat me up. Yet be careful because one the guys will turn snippy on a dime. Still a great place to browse. Sometimes the store smells like old people.

I love the selection of antiques that this store generally carries. I do not appreciate being followed around during my last visit. You guys lost a very good patron to your establishment. Ive got a bit of advice for you guys: dont treat your customers like criminals. Also, you guys could be a little kinder too.

Its a nice antique shop with quite a bit of variety! From tea sets to records to camping equipment and even furniture! The pricing doesnt seem outrageous either. Although some the downstairs area smells kinda weird.

Highly recommend. I would give 5 stars however, the manager acted all snooty, when I brought items to counter. Similar items had a sale going on. He acted as if I was trying to pass the other items as the same price. If that didnt occurr, I would have given 5 stars.

Even though this unique shop is in the midst of renovations, it is still a treasure trove of fine antiques.

Everyone is very helpful and everything is reasonably priced. One gentleman was kind enough to run to a stall to grab something they thought I might like as a gift for my mom.

True they are truly great folks who work there very helpful and love the shop so much to look at and decent prices we will be back and let others know about this place. Thank you!!!
