I took my modified Viper in for a fuel leak issue. Great customer service from start to finish. Nick treated me well and was very communicative throughout the entire repair. My car is running amazing and I plan use and refer them in the future.

Best place in town. Ive never had to take my vehicle back for the same issue twice.

Horrible service by the owner himself. My 80 year old friend took her car for repair of the AC unit. He kept it a week and when she picked it up, found the knob to regulate the heat/fan/ac was broken. She was also having electrical problems. The owner was nasty to her, talked down to her, and she left in tears. She spent money she didnt have to spend, to fix something that still is not working. It appears he is only rude and ugly to females...especially the elderly. His behavior was disgusting. He took advantage of her so just beware!!! I had to pick one star, but he deserves NO stars. Kind and friendly staff that are knowledgeable. This shop has been a staple in Salem for decades! Dan and his team has come to the rescue of my family many times. I am proud to recommend his shop.

Im torn here. 5 star work, 2 star service and communication. I used them for years and have recently seen a decline in customer service and communication.

Solid Mechanics at a very reasonable price. Rory takes pride in this business and will do a great job for you. Ive seen them working on commuter cars and race cars alike.Hes done several projects on my Mustang built for track racing.The only thing to be aware of is they arent the best at having a predictable schedule so I wouldnt expect immediate turn around on your car even if you schedule it in for an appointment.Edit 1/2/2020:Editing my review because Rory is no longer there. The guys now are basically line mechanics. In other words, if its not in the books they learned from at school, they arent real sure what to do. Theyre better than dealing with dealerships, but there are plenty of good shops out there.

DO NOT take your car here until they replace the current mechanic (sign posted says theyre looking for a new one). A simple replacement of the starter in my Honda resulted in TWO tows due to silly/stupid and dangerous mistakes including NOT re-hooking up the ground wires after the replacement of the starter, AND not replacing the throttle cable in its original position which almost killed me on the freeway when the throttle became stuck. BOTH mess ups were verified by non-competing shops with no stake in the repair. The current mechanic needs to LEAVE and get into another line of work. This was a terrifying experience. DO NOT GO HERE.

Had a clutch issue diagnosed and repaired same day. Fair pricing,local company will use them again when needed.

They got my car done but it took 3x longer then quoted. When I got it back the transmission seemed to be worse than before, and I did not have them work on the transmission. I will now be bringing it to another shop because I do not trust them. My car was also dirtier than what I gave them, there was grease and grime on the carpet. They used to be a quality shop, but the quality has gone down greatly. Do not go here!

Always nice to have a local dyno thats easy to schedule you in. Scott is always super cool to work with and they are all pretty friendly.

I called the shop looking for help, the only thing I got was talked down to. nothing but bad language and a big huge ego.. wouldnt recommend to anybody..... if I could rate this place a -5 stars I would.

I didnt enjoy my experience at this mechanic. The staff, with the exception of Rory, was incredibly unfriendly.Their attention to detail was lacking, especially when it came to my requests for service. I had asked twice (once on the phone and once in person) for a full inspection of a car that I had already purchased and they gave it a pre-purchase inspection anyway. My plan is to fix everything that it needed before a big cross-country drive, which I mentioned upon dropping it off. When I picked it up I learned that they hadnt even pulled a spark plug to see if it needed a tune up.The car was returned to me very dirty with grease on the interior handles and on the floor mats from neglecting to put down any type of protection. It was also returned with the check engine light still on, something that I had specifically asked for them to address and would hope they would have noticed during their inspection.This last bit is my fault for not being brave enough to say anything, but they had quoted me $65 for the service when I scheduled the appointment on the phone and charged $80 when I came to pick it up.

Wow, terrible job diagnosing my car, I drove it in and towed it home. Horrible service and resolution. I have referred business there for 220 years. Fixed it myself.
