New owners as of August 2021! Stopped here and ordered two bagels sandwiches on our way home to CA. The new owners are so sweet and committed to serving the freshest bagels and eggs! Come support this new business. Homemade bagels we had were tasty and soft and chewy, eggs were cooked fresh in the back. Tomatoes were sweet! We’ll be back next time we’re passing through and you should too!

I’ve been here once before a few years back and the bagels were pretty good. I got a bacon egg and cheese today and the bagel isn’t fully cooked and it’s doughy. I moved here from NYC and know not to expect NYC type bagels out here; but i was just really disappointed that it was pretty much inedible. Maybe it was a bad batch? The people were nice and the soup was good though :)

My family and I were looking for a place for a quick breakfast and ended up going to the rolling bagel. They apparently are new owners and theyre definitely doing it right! The bagels were delicious and crazy fresh, and the sausage bagel sandwich was OUTRAGEOUSLY tasty. Honestly, I think it was the best bagel sandwich Ive had in a looong time. The carrot cake was also exceptional. We will DEFINITELY be coming back here

Very disappointed by this place. I honestly do not understand the 4 & 5 star reviews this place is getting. Coming from Corvallis, we had an amazing fresh-baked bagel/ sandwich shop there (New York Bagels), and this place just does not compare...The bagel itself was airy and bready. It wasnt dense or chewy or crusty on the outside like a real bagel-- it was comparable to the texture and quality of a bagel you get pre-made at the grocery store.I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast bagel (I uploaded a picture as well), and the quality was just awful. There was more CHEESE of a very strange texture than anything else, and the bacon for some reason was fused between the egg and the cheese making it chewy and stringy and ruining any crispy quality. The egg and bacon itself was basically nonexistent. Most importantly, the texture on the cheese is so freaking weird and it has a crust all around the outside that implies it was overheated, possibly microwaved??? All in all, it was very McDonalds fast-food quality breakfast bagel and NOT worth the money or the hype.

All the other 1 star reviews state my same thoughts. The tomato soup was the consistency of pudding. Not friendly and told they were out of chicken salad AGAIN. Take it off menu if you dont want to make it and sell it. I was there at lunchtime! Handed a bag with my food even though I initially intended to stay. Good thing I asked for a spoon, but on second thought I could have used a fork for the soup! And last, I got a warm soda, no ice available. Cream cheese tasted sour......

Drive all the way here and they are closed. Hours posted on for dont match reality. Severely disappointed. Bakeries should open earlier than 9 anyway. Waited for you to open and no one is here. Waste of time.

Ive been here a handful of times and the quality of food is really really good and worth the wait it takes for them to make your order. After today, I will be checking the food I get before leaving considering my order was wrong on 2 sandwiches. Im not super upset about it, its just something to be aware of.

The bagel itself was pretty good. The egg was overcooked, the cheese left something to be desired, the sausage was awfully strong. The woman working the counter was not wearing a mask, and seemed like she was in a bad mood. The place was not open for dine in due to COVID restrictions, but despite that was a mess. Tables covered in crust, the soup area looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a while, and the floor was dirty. The one good thing was the cashier wore gloves.

I have purchased bagels and they are excellent. Helen the owner has shared her high standards with me. Her prices are very fair especially given all of the work she and her staff go to. I recommend Rolling Bagels to everyone. Give Rolling Bagels a chance. You will not be disappointed.

This place is a hidden gem. I have grown up here in Salem and this is the first time i have been to this place. It sits back off the road in a small shopping center near D&D Satellite office and the Spa treatment place. The food was fresh and amazingly delicious. They have a variety of bagels to choose from and you can even have a sandwich made on one. There is regular bread too but why ise regular bread in a bagel shop. They also have a variety of 6 different types of soups to choose from and a small salad bar. Great food, great place. I will definitely be back.

I used to love this place. I came at least once a week! My husband and I came in March for my Birthday... my sandwich was wrong, no soup, and lots of sodas were out. I was hoping it was a fluke.Came back today with a friend and was hoping for the best! My sandwich was wrong (after it took a very long time to make), about half the sodas were out, and my friend ended up with an ant in her soda. Very disappointed. I have no intentions of coming back.

They were great. Ill hold my judgment until I try it a few more times under the new owners. Seems like the menu is the same but they are working out how to work it out.

You wont believe these bagels with their flavored and whipped cream cheese. Get them earlier because they sell out their popular choices. Cinnamon raisin is the most frequently purchased and they go fast.

Real food, for a fair price. Order at the counter, claim a table then dish up you choose of 5 different soups, our chili you plate from the salad bar. My half tuna sandwich and cup of chili with 12 oz soda was less than $9, tastes freshly made in a comfortable location.

Ive been looking for a good bagel since I moved back here from Washington, DC. Rolling Bagel definitely delivered. I wish there was a south Salem location, but its definitely worth the trip.

The bagels are okay but they are not New York bagels by any means. What is disgusting though, is the person who handles the cash uses a tissue to carry the bagel to the toasting station then uses her bare hands to cut the bagel and put it in the toaster without washing her hands. The real kicker was, she cut her finger and put a Band-Aid on without washing her hands. Then she was cleaning the corners of her eyes with her fingers and went on to help the next person and repeat the process. Disgusting. We will never be back.

The experience at Rolling Bagels can best be described as a serene and authentic rest. The portions were unexpectedly sizable, which came to a pleasant surprise. Their salads and soups came with a pleasing variety as the wait for the food took place. I ordered a turkey club sandwich, and when it came, the presentation of the sandwich was more than satisfactory. Never give this place a second thought - just go in and have a pleasant lunch.

Ive always loved the food but hadnt been in for awhile. Service was terrible, stood in line with my friend while the owner or manager sat at the table by the door and ignored us. She didnt even say someone will be with you or anything. We said pretty loudly guess well have to go somewhere else if they wont take our order button response. They need new management!!@

This place is really cute on the inside and I like the idea of the bagel, soup and salad menu. However being from the east coast I love bagels and Im used to eating them all the time. The bagels are okay. Just okay, nothing outstanding or exceptional. They were hard to chew and I ordered a breakfast bagel. I couldnt finish it because my jaw started hurting. The customer service is decent, the woman at the counter was very nice and friendly however the lady bringing the food was rude and offputting. I dont think Ill be returning.

The bagels are like no other bagels Ive ever had... not in a good way. They are undercooked piles of bread. The sandwich I had wasnt great and that started with their poorly made bagels. Im pretty sure the sandwich was microwaved, not toasted. The soup was good and they do have a decent selection. As far as the atmosphere, I felt like I was in a summer camp dining hall. Must have been the layout, tables, chairs and decoration.

Ive been coming here for a couple years and I love their bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Yesterday I came in with my fiancé (we are both women, I usually come in by myself and never had an issue) and I dont know if she was being rude and cold because she was having a bad day, or if we were two women obviously together. But she looked irritated when I corrected her saying we were paying together, she rushed us through our order, both our breakfasts were not up to Rolling Bagel standards - it wasnt even toasted like it normally is! - and when I was trying to bus our table (I could have sworn they used to have a place to put dirty dishes) she just stared at me while I aimlessly walked around with our plates. She acted like shed rather us not be there. Im giving 2 stars because the food is usually great, but because of the way we were treated we will not be going back.

Today I had the worst tasting bagel I have ever had. The bagel tasted like pasty bread dough. Seriously, just like paste. The woman working there was not friendly. Not at all. It felt like we were bothering her and she had something better to do. We paid $9.50 for two toasted bagels with cream cheese, one coffee, and one fountain drink. These pasty bagels were warm but not toasted. I think the bagels were microwaved. Now I didnt expect this to be Einsteins Bagels quality, but I expected way better than this. I just read some reviews and I see that other people have complained that their bagels tasted like paste, and of the unfriendly staff. I just wish I had read these reviews before wasting my money here. A One Star rating is too much. Never again.

My family and I love this place! Its a great local business with a homey, no frills atmosphere. I love the All-you-can-eat soup bar made from scratch! The sandwiches and pizzas made from their home-made bagels are amazing as well.

Use to love going here but they kind of gone down hill unfortunately. We had ants in our drinks the employee ringing us up was too focused on getting back to the computer then showing any customer service skills.

They always have good service and the food is hot and ready for you. Biscuit and gravy taste like grandma cooking.

Good, but very disappointing. Their bagels arent even bagels. They are basically focaccia or bread rolls. They are dense and do not have the beautiful shine and crunch on the outside like a bagel should. Baked, not done like a bagel is supposed to be. My egg sandwich was tasty and fresh, but again disappointing.

Truly enjoy the association with our brothers and sisters at this Establishment, the food is really good and baked fresh everyday, kinda of pricey but worth it!!! On those Cold and Rainy days, if you enjoy comfort foods that warm you up inside, I definitely would suggest Rolling Bagels Bakery. Plus they serve a Zero carb breakfast bowl Or Low carb breakfast bowl, either one is delicious.

Lady seemed annoyed about helping us. Another lady had to ask for her tomatoes and when the ohone rang she said really people come on??? Took over 30 minutes for microwaved biscuits and gravy and coffee. We came it was our first time and we were excited about a place serving bicuits and gravy. Everything was good coffee was bitter but i guess i need to ask for it extra sweet next time. Everyone has bad days i get it but it felt like we were unwelcomed and maybe play some music it was awkwardly quit.

Dont like the price hikes over the years and the reduction in portions but the food is great. Love it

While the new owner is very sweet and personable the old staff continue to struggle with customer service . My most recent and LAST visit the counter person was extremely rude when I requested a special order, then when we got our food my husbands was wrong and she argued with me about what we ordered . Owner offered to fix it but counter person made and brought something completely different . Problems the last three visits. No more chances- no thanks

Reliably good food day after day. Bagels are fresh and tasty, homemade soups are great on a cold day, salad bar is a nice alternative, although thier sandwiches are always really good.
