A cheese lovers must visit place while anywhere near Salem, Oregon. The tastings are free, and once you have sampled the over 30 varieties, you will end up buying at least one. Smoked garlic in cheddar was delicious as was the aged chive &a pepper Gouda.The guide for the tasting, Jan Marie, was really knowledgeable about the surrounding area and gave a compelling story about the cheeses and where they came from.Cumin Gouda, chipotle cheddar and coffee cheddar were also very good but the Boerenkaas is the most popular as it pairs with numerous wines. Would have loved a tour set up..but the counter guy was very friendly and you could sample any of their cheeses.

This is the cleanest dairy Ive ever been to. Usually these types of businesses smell terrible but this place is outstandingly clean, odor free.... Great Owners

We sampled quite a few cheeses. All very good. Decided the garlic pepper cheese curds would be the perfect snack for our journey. We will definitely return.

Delicious cheese and TONS of samples. The lady giving out samples and cashiering at the same time was very friendly and informative. They could definitely use an expansion of the tasting room, the small little room for both tasting and purchasing cheese was packed with people and got very hot. Plus there wasn’t a lot of counter space for the amount of people in there. It’s a cute little place though and well worth the visit! You can walk near the cows and goats & visit with them too.

I am giving this place 4 stars because of the service that I received during my visit. The lady who was there when I visited was just a superstar. She was patient, she knew their product line like the back of her hands and she truly seems to enjoy what she was doing.I didnt know about this joint, I saw the street sign on my way to Salem. So, I took a detour. Some of their cheeses were good. They also had some funky combinations, which is a testament to their willingness to take risks and experiment. I like that. I am absolutely recommending this place.

This place on Wallace Road, north of West Salem, has a delightful assortment of cheeses. After several mouth-watering samples we purchase 2 or 3 to take home. They go wonderfully with crackers and wine tasting!

Wonderful artisan cheese maker. Several different styles, ALL great. Happy cows and happy customers. Flavor profiles are expertly controlled. Gouda styles well crafted, smoked was alder wood for a local nod. Try samples of the day, youll be taking some home!

I was introduced to a lot of different cheeses and everyone was wonderful, okay actually all but one. The food was great and it was just a lot of fun and a great experience. The person serving the cheese though needs to be a little bit more knowledgeable.

Its the best artisan cheese that I have ever eaten! ! I would highly recommend that you try it if you enjoy the best cheese you have ever had in your life.

Enjoyed the tasting room, its like going wine tasting, but with cheese! We loved nearly every cheese we tried, and there were so many. Came home with a batch to savor. Good place to visit with out-of-town guests wanting a taste of Oregon. Definitely recommend!

If you love cheese, come out to see a local cheese factory. Its not a tourist attraction like the one in tillamook: Willamette Valley Cheese Company makes specialty cheeses for purchase in small pouches. When you enter the small store, someone will greet you and offer to let you taste their different cheeses. Unique flavors like chili garlic and coffee are available for tasting and all of them are high quality and delicious.Unfortunately we couldnt stay long because we had brought four little children and they couldnt sit still through the presentation. The kids enjoyed seeing the cows at feeding time, though!

Small and simple, but so many delicious cheeses to try. Many of which were wonderfully unique. The staff was kind and very helpful as well. I would recomend everyone go and experience this little bit of local flavor.

Award-winning cheese, mostly made from their own cows so they can have control over quality and content. Asiago is delightful, as is smoked Gouda. Also have Havarti and various Cheddars. Smallish tasting room, but adequate for its purpose. Normally closed Mondays.

Really good cheese, and the lady that helped us gave us huge chunks of every flavor. We had to seriously narrow down our favorites but bought the extra aged cheddar and chive and pepper gouda! Fair prices and a big variety too.

We tasted about 20 different cheeses! What a great selection. There are new options from time to time and lots of old favorites. Highly recommended!

Great cheeses, lady working the tasting room was very nice and helpful. Small room, but great cheese. We were hoping for a dairy tour to be available, but thats not something they offer. Maybe were just weird for wishing for that.

If your interested in buying cheese, be sure to bring an ice/cooler chest for it. Enjoy.

Delicious cheese but such a hot tasting room. Very nice workers. And again such delicious cheese. I bought each one I tried.

They have amazing cheeses here. Many of which they make with milk from their own cows. They dont have added coloring so are more natural. They have interesting flavors like cumin gouda and coffee flavored cheeses. Great for gifts. They do a cheese tasting if you just drop in.

This is a wonderful place to visit as you travel through Oregon. They make a variety of cheese that you can sample at their counter and their team made some wonderful recommendations for wine and food pairings. The Greek cheddar and smoked gouda were favorites of ours and I encourage you to stop by and give them a try.

As we were driving from Dundee to Salem we saw the sign for Willamette Valley Cheese and decided we would stop on our way back. What a treat! Excellent cheese, generous samples, helpful and eager to please sales people. We came back with our entire RV Club the next day and we all sampled to our hearts content.Dont expect a big commercial facility like Tillamook. Its small and rather rustic and the cheese is unforgettable!

Taste the best cheese right on the premises where they were made. Then purchase same from the shop, then drive to a local winery for a bottle of local Pinto Noir and have a snack at one of the outdoor tables b provided. Dont forget to bring a loaf of bread to enjoy with the cheese.

I absolutely love their Cranberry and Blueberry Havarti. Im a huge cheese guy and they are fantastic! I picked mine up at the Beaverton Farmers Market and Ill go every week to pick some up!

The person who helped us stayed open 25 minutes past closing to ensure that my group all got tasters of all the cheese. We all ended up buying cheese (which was SO delicious).

Wunderbar! What a great little find on our way to McMinnville! An unplanned stop netted us a comprehensive cheese tasting and some morsels to take home. So many delectable cheeses, it was hard to narrow it down.
