Stopped in for breakfast while my car was in for service across the street. I settled on a savory breakfast crepe and coffee. The service was excellent and the person at the counter helped with some suggestions. I did find the prices to be a little on the high side. My total bill for a coffee and crepe was $15 before tip. The atmosphere inside was very warm and comfortable.
This place deserve a five star for food . We were visiting silver falls and needed to get some good food . We ordered the veggie panini, spicy cowboy scramble and both tasted sooo good . I got the NW smoothie and it was great . Cold Brie was out so we opted for cold americano which was nice too . All in all the food was great . Wait time was around 10 minutes and we visited on a Thursday at 12 pm . The person taking order on the counter was very polite and helpful . I would definitely recommend this place
One of my new favorite places. I had the brioche french toast, and appreciated that it was actually made with brioche. My spouse got the madatarainian crepe. Both were spot on. Well prepared with quality ingredients and skill. The coffee was top quality, some of the best I have ever had, with a pleasant mouth feel and well rounded flavor.Everything was presented bueitifully, and the dining space was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.Over an excellent experience.
This place never disappoints. We recently discovered this place and its an hour away from where we stay in Corvallis. Yet, I always leave dreaming about what I’ll have when I come here the next time! Sooo in love with their coffee and crepes. The pictures shared here are of their famous sweet crepe Emilee’s Love, and Willamette latte. I have also tried their other signature lattes like Jay Brulee and grasshopper. Tasted really good! My friend ordered the savory crepe Veggie Medley, and it was super delicious.Best crepes I have tried in Oregon so far.
The drinks and crepes that I’ve tried here have been delicious. Good selection of teas as well as coffee. They specialize in sweet and savory crepes. Which if you haven’t tried them, you really should. The place is really cute with a fireplace to keep you cozy in the winter and a nice patio outside where you can enjoy your food on a nice warm day. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is for the customer service. It’s not bad per se, they just seem pretentious and indifferent. They seem to always ignore me when I’m standing at the counter waiting to order. They are usually busy making coffee and a quick smile and an “I’ll be right with you” would go a long way and earn 5 stars. But they never seem to acknowledge my existence. I would frequent this place way more often if they improved their service. Until then I will get my coffee from Starbucks where I am always welcomed with a big smile and cheery attitude. If you found my review helpful please like. 👍🏼
We are visiting and a local recommended this place and we were so impressed! We got various coffees, teas, and breakfast crepes and everything was delicious. Definitely stop here ASAP!
Why cant you have a menu at the drive thru? I dont want to take a picture of the code. Its not anymore french to not have a food menu at the drive thru.
Came here on Sunday and the coffee and food was absolutely delicious! But the reason I didnt give five stars is that the girl at the register got my order wrong I specifically said decaf very clear and she put it in as caffeinated. That could have been very bad for me.
Best coffee/latte in town. Always the same girl, and she is a true master.
Loved the crepes, they were very delicious. My husband had the Spicy Greek and I had the Black Forest crepe. The coffee was good but a little strong for my taste.
Worst french crepes ever. I ordered three crepes, each came on a separate plate. They were cold and leaden. These were certainly not like crepes eaten in France and England. The service was terribly slow, and we had difficulty conversing with the server. Ive never before had a crepe served in a style of this manner. However, if the crepes had been hot and light, as a crepe should be, I would have given this restaurant a good review. Coffee was great.
French press is always delicious. We enjoy their crepes everytime we go and I usually get a delicious, good quality coffee.
Super yummy food. Great coffee. Outdoor dining made it perfect for these times!
Love the food here, but the service is horrible. Every time I go it seems to get worse. This last time I waited about 40 min in the drive through, just for the food to taste mostly burnt and there was a hair in my food. Sucks because their food is great but pretty pricey to be disappointed more and more each time.
Always a great place to eat. Great breakfast menu
Wonderful lunch! Great customer service.
The food is good, but not all it was hyped up to be by other reviewers. Although, their dark chocolate and hazelnut latte was amazing, so much so, typing this is making my mouth water!
This place is very nice and clean. I came here to treat myself because I was having a horrible morning. I took my kids and mother in law. Were ordered our drinks which were delicious and we also ordered our food. Here comes the reason for the 3 star rating - while everyone received their order correct, mine was incorrect to make matters worse the chef had no idea of the special nor how to make it (they were discussing all this in front of me) by the time I received my food everyone had finished eating so I decided to take it home. By that point I was extremely annoyed, then I start eating my food which was still warm, but the bagel was so difficult to eat that I did not enjoy it. The flavor of the filling in the bagel was spot on but due to this experience, I just dont think I will be coming back. #annoyed
Weve been eating here for several years. We really enjoy the food. They offer a good variety so that we all can get something we want. We have been disappointed of late, with the service. It hasnt always been bad, but the last few times they cant seem to get my daughters order correct. She ordered Nutella crepes with custard on the side. Not a difficult order. Today was particularly disappointing. When they sent out a plain crepe, and my wife asked them to make it correctly, they told her the order was written as a plain crepe. They then told her they would have to make all the orders currently up before they would remake my daughters correctly. I am disappointed. They didnt even apologize. Bad form French Press.Changed to 1 star from 3. If you look at their response, I sent them an email for them to make it right. Crickets...
This place was so delicious. Definitely must try.
As a delivery driver, this place was awesome. Order was ready when I arrived and the staff was very friendly. The food I picked up sounded so good, but it wasnt for me (vicariously, I enjoyed it). Customer ordered crepes, americano, and smoothie.
Family often goes here on weekends and special occasions. Great food and coffee. Best thing Ive had there is the Prime Rib French Dip.
This spot simply knows how to satisfy their customers. Consistently with a kind mindset. The food is conveniently priced, always flavorful and neat.
Alright, rarely in Salem anymore. Jays Brulee Mocha. Wow. The coffee was amazing. Great service, great coffee, even the Italian soda was perfect. If I am in that neck of the woods again then Ill definitely be stopping by again.
They had oki crepes. Not the best we have had in Salem. The Starwberry with nutella crepe was excelent though. No complaints to this. Our savory crepe was not as hoped for, though im sure they tried to make it good. Not sure they focus as much on crepes as coffee.Great coffee, we had a dark chocolate mocca that looked good and tasted like french coffee should. If youd like the sharp coffee flavor instead of mild starbucks type of blend im sure this is right up your alley. This is worth a visit and I hope the owners gets a better look at their savory crepes. We loved what they served at Oregon Crepe Cafe i Salem, unfortunately they shut down...
Amazing food! Went through drive-thru and was as fast as you would expect it to be. Ive been in other fast lines longer. Food was worth the wait and tasted amazing. The coffee is seriously good. 🥰
I know we are coming out of a pandemic and I dont want to be unfair, I know its like to be short-staffed after everything. That being said, I did just try to go through the drive-thru for the first time and to notice there were a ton of people outside so I figured it would be busy, the pace of the drive-thru was about one car every 12 minutes. I had the time to play a 40 minute round of Bloons TD6 with three cars ahead of me. But like I said, I understand being short-staffed so that wasnt a big problem. My real complaint is that there isnt a menu or signage, you have to know what the menu is from memory if youve ever been inside which I have not. I would definitely wait around for a good coffee or pastry, but I had no idea what was on the menu or what was possible to order and asking would have just taken up more of the employees very limited time.Any kind of menu or signage would be nice, I have to come back someday and give it a shot so I can reevaluate my review.
Crepes are delicious, I love them. The caramel apple was more caramel than I expected BUT it was delicious and Im sure if enjoy it more if I liked the filling. Overall, a great place.
I love to stop by this Cafe. Delicious food and great customer service. A cozy place to relax and drink coffee ☕, tea 🍵.
Food was delish and service was fast and friendly! I ordered a strawberry crepe and large latte. Both were delish! Despite being pretty full, the service was fast and all the staff I interacted with were friendly and polite. I also love the unique atmosphere here. Its not your standard chain style cafe.
The food is awesome, yet just a regular cup of coffee was horrible! Im not a fan of French Press coffee either.
Best Chai Latte Ive ever had! And dont even get me started on the crepes.
Slowest drive-thru in Salem but, the food and coffee is above average. I would suggest taking a friend for company while you sit and wait for a while (or some good music).
When I come through Salem, I love to stop by this cafe. My favorite crepe is the chicken Cordon Bleu! I think the coffee is a bit expensive but everything is tasty.
This place is great for its crepes and coffee. They some other options, such as bagels, French dip sandwiches and a few other sandwiches. They are known for serving breakfast, lunch and desert style crepes though. My favorite crepe is the desert crepe with Nutella in it, I like to add bananas to it. The French dip sandwich I have pictured below and is delicious as well. Food can take a little while to get out especially when busy. They have sitting inside and outside. They also have a drive through. I would only recommend getting coffee in the drive through. Food can be ordered through the drive through but takes longer. The drive thru speaker is hard to hear because their speaker is next to the busy street, so you have to talk loud/ shout. The environment inside is Paris themed and cozy. They have high and low tables. They usually always make designs on speciality coffees and they are so beautiful and make me feel so special. Some of the designs I have received are pictured below. I recommend the Black Forest drink if you like cherry in your coffee. The Rico explorer drink has a banana flavor which makes it that unique. Many great features to this place.
The food is great but the wait times are ridiculous! I called in an order and by the time I showed up it was ready, but waited another 20 minutes in line just to get my food! They need to have a pick up only line or something, the drive through gets backed up super bad too so not any better there.
Mmmmm mmmmmm. I do love me some crepes. I called in a order for pick up and the person who took it was friendly and answered my questions. We picked up about 20 minutes later through the drive through and began drooling. No complaints here!
This is where Ill eat if Im feeling pretentious but lack the wallet power to back up that notion. Yes. I eat here often... Sweet and savory crepes as the French intended, and warm drinks for comfort. Ive never had a bad experience here but some menu shake-up or even specials would be nice for a change.I do like their in-house hot chocolate if youre inclined to try it.
A cozy place to relax and drink your tea (in my case) or coffee. In the south side of salem. I saw that the cook has a chef coat and food is tasty for a small place like this. If you like bagels for breakfast you will enjoy this. #foodcriticErrubiel. There is WiFi and is kid friendly. Also they have sitting outside.
Coffee drink that you can taste the coffee and not hyped up with sugar like somewhere places do. Let it bee it a great choice!
I was impressed that none of the staff were using their gloved hands to adjust their masks while making and serving food, as I have seen so many other restaurant staff doing at other places. Way to keep things sanitary French Press! They reopened with tables more spread out and their patio open for outdoor seating. Inside was pretty tight before though and now it just seems like a more normal amount of space. But the layout is also pretty strategic so you are much farther from the other tables. It was right at capacity at 10am this morning and right after we ordered a table came open outside, which was perfect. Great food, so many choices! They no longer have their menu posted so I highly recommend you look it up on your phone while waiting on line to order, which took us 10 minutes. Food comes fast though!
Amazing food and coffee!! Went through the drive thru and the wait was super short, price was perfect and Ive never had better crepes. Would love to stop and dine outside when the weather gets better.
Great food and drinks. Very busy.
The service used to be great but it has gone down hill recently. The food is still good, but you’ll probably wait 20-30 minutes to receive your order. I order a strawberry crepe and 16 oz coffee and it took 30 minutes for it to arrive. By the time I received my coffee it was like warm so it was sitting out for awhile before it was given to me.
Every time I go here the people are so rude. I walked in once and waited like 15 minutes just for someone to acknowledge me. The next time I went in again I waited like 10 minutes some door dash person walked in after me and she helped him before me. I had to literally be like “uhhh hello?” Until anyone helped me after she literally just helped someone in front of me that came in AFTER ME I don’t like any of the people that work here. Terrible customer service. I’m also less then 25 years old so I don’t leave these type of comments lightly this is the first time I have ever made one but this was extremely disappointing.
Good coffee and really well made food.
Yummy and gluten-free. The outdoor seating was delightful!
Such amazing food!! I have tried a little bit of everything and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend it to others.so yummy
The french toast was served a bit cool, but the crepes were delicious. I had the strawberry one and it could become a favorite treat.
I love their crepes, crescent rolls, and hot chocolate. Though I have had many experiences where they seem to be sold out of a lot of items early in the morning. But definitely worth a visit!
The crepes are really delicious, but the coffee is Heavenly
Yummy savory breakfast crepes and nice atmosphere. Few tables indoors due to covid
Best coffee. Food is very good as well.
We had a crepe and coffee ☕. The crepe was loaded with goodies and a large avocado 🥑 slice. Yum. Good coffee, great service 😋
Just stumbled on this place and it was delicious! Great coffee, I particularly liked the Willamette Mocha. The crepes were flavorful, generous servings, albeit difficult to eat while back on the road. We will definitely make this a regular stop when passing through.
The food was good but the crepes themselves were kind of flavorless. I got an order with a strawberry crepe and a california crepe (cant remember the exact name). Started eating the strawberry crepe, brushed aside the strawberries and the crepe had no flavor so I guess I paid like $8 for strawberries. The california crepe was much better though had chicken, sun dried tomatoes, spinach and a few other things.
This place is fantastic if you love coffee/tea and crepes! I have tried several of their crepes (Fresh Banana with Nutella added, Caramel Apple, and Chorizo Breakfast) and the Monte Cristo sandwich but keep going back to the Chorizo Breakfast Crepe with a Chai Tea Latte.
We love this place. The concept is great, the food is great, and having good coffee is the icing on the cake. The catch? They have the only drive through in America where you have to look up their menu on your phone in lieu of it being displayed in the drive through. (Why?)
Everytime I come by this place to pick up coffee it always tastes great and everything the only thing making the review sour is when they start charging different prices everytime kinda weird. Also almost every time we come the wait is way too long! Going to be getting my expresso else where.
Best scones in Salem. Good coffee and good crepes.
Amazing food! Best French Dip Ive had in a long time.
We were looking forward to trying this place for the first time for breakfast but unfortunately no one greeted us or took our order. After 10 minutes of being ignored, we left and ate at the Panera next door.
Coffee and crepes were wonderful as usual
Awesome crepes. Best Strawberry Banana smoothie Ive ever had!! Delicious. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The food and coffee here is great but just about everyone here service wise has an attitude. No one has been nice, girls will roll their eyes at you or walk away from you while you ask them why your drive through food is taking 20 minutes. Then the last time I came here they couldnt even get my coffee right while they act like Im an inconvenience to their day. Just dont expect anything nice other than the quality of the food and coffee.
Got a Signature Vanilla Latte with almond milk and I was super happy. Very delicious without adding too much vanilla. I will definitely be coming here again.
Always fantastic coffee, and great crepes. Favorites are the Let It Bee latte and California Chicken crepe!
This is a great coffee shop to go to for a caffeine fix and/or snack! Their french press coffee is excellent, as their name would suggest and theres plenty to eat from snacks to light meals. Good price, in my opinion. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and its not too expensive, and very worth it. Great first date spot, and also a good place to go for some alone time! I love to sit in the corner and drink coffee and be alone! And for us night owls, theyre opened a little later than the average coffee shop in the area.
Coffee and cocoa. Serv8ce is slow.
Definitely what you would call a boutique coffee shop. They roast their own coffee. They usually have beans from several different origins available to order a press pot if you desire. I prefer a dark roast for the less acid and usually smoother taste. Their dark roast is more medium certainly because they want to preserve the origin flavor notes of the bean. I did order a bagel. In my opinion, they carry the best available (sorry, I forget the name). I just wanted the bagel cold to take home. I didnt know they automatically toast it. I think the cream cheese they use is a whipped variety which to me seems to be diluted. Just not what Im used to. They have good service and the place is very nice looking inside and do have a selection of crepes or omelettes to have if you desire. Enjoy!
Service is very slow. Also, the people making the food are not efficient - multiple crepes were being burnt and the eggs were overcooked. The barista was good but falling short of help on a busy Sunday brunch. The Brioche french toast was sad. The California crepe didnt have a good flavor to it. The mango peach papaya smoothie didnt have the consistency of a smoothie but was more like that of a juice. It was an okay place to have food. I would recommend going there once to try out the menu and experience the place yourself, because after all it is in Salem, OR and not in Boston, MA.
Food wise basically a solid 3*. Nothing terrible, but the potato chips shouldnt have been the high point of our meals. Crepe and sandwich.Coffee more a 4*. Worth driving a little ways for.Service friendly but a bit vague. 3*.
