I would of given these guys a 5 star review but I cannot. the gentlemen behind the counter were really nice but all they really did was adjust my laptop a bit and clean every compartment of dust and grime. I needed my GPU fan replaced and they did not do that all. My laptop still overheats and the GPU fan is still not spinning. I tried to tell them but it seemed like it went in one ear and out the other. Sorry guys you were nice and all but I will not be returning. I did however get a sweet new mouse for my laptop from them and it does work perfectly.

Person that answered the phone wasnt interested in helping. He just wanted to argue that you couldnt replace a power switch in a computer because it was part of the button on the outside of the computer and couldnt be replaced by itself. Funny ordered power switch WITHOUT button on Amazon and replaced the power switch WITHOUT replacing the button on my computer. I wouldnt go there if they were the only place that had the last part I needed to fix my computer.

Went there about two years ago, I dropped my desktop off to SCC for a week because it would not start up. In that whole week of them having it, the technicians came to the conclusion that my board and possibly most of my hardware was fried. I went home and opened it up for myself. All I had to do was rewire the power switch and it turned on with no other issues. Instead of fixing the blatant wiring, they marked it off as a computer that was fried and wanted to up sale a full hardware replacement. The technicians either failed to check simple wiring or they purposely did not fix it and wrote it off as a believable ‘computer that was fried’ scenario. I thought it was the latter and of course I found that out to be true. If you are looking for a place to get your computer repaired, I highly suggest you take a longer drive to a more professional and less cash hungry business that will be able to diagnose your computer properly.A user on Yelp has also had a very similar issue, this review can be found on Salem Computer Center’s Yelp page. A quote from his one- star review:“ In my opinion, it would appear the owner is more interested in taking advantage of customers who are computer illiterate than doing honest business. I would recommend steering clear of Salem Computer Center as they do not appear to be a reputable business. “TLDR (Too long didn’t read): This business is looking to make as much money off of you as they can. If you know next to nothing about computers, you’ll probably know just as much as the repair technicians and the Owner Frank Zamarelli. I can guarantee that a repair shop in a neighboring town would be more competent and cheaper than Salem Computer Center.

I cannot say enough good things about SCC. Frank and Anthony are AMAZING! They completed a complicated hardware and software overhaul for my business today with 9 networked computers and a main server - all of which must communicate with other equipment. They took great care and spent a lot of time with detailed preparation to make sure the job was smooth and flawless. I’ve been through this process in the past with other IT companies and it was a nightmare. With SCC, it was a DREAM. They are kind, efficient, and make sure every detail is as it should be. It was totally stress free for me. Thank you so much, guys! I’m thrilled!
