I dont normally post stuff like this, but I feel like I need to give out a warning. On my way to work this morning, I stopped at the Shell station in West Salem. I paid cash and gave my money to the older man running the pumps. I wasnt paying much attention, and when he closed my gas tank and I told me I was okay to leave I never double-checked the pump. When I started my car and checked my gas gauge, no gas had been put into my vehicle. I reversed back to the same pump I had sat at and confronted the same attendant who had taken my money. He claimed not to know me, and to have never taken my money. We argued for a while, he denied ever seeing me and said he hadnt helped anyone at the pump I was at. He also told me he was the only attendant so it could not have been another employee who took my money. It wasnt until I told him to bring me his manager so we could check the cameras/count the till, and told him I would call the police that he agreed to pump my gas for the amount he took from me. If you ever stop at the Shell in West Salem, either pay inside or pay with a card. He showed no remorse, and although it may have been an accident, it felt intentional, and his denial of seeing me not even five minutes before leads me to believe it was on purpose. I highly encourage everyone to avoid this gas station.

Quik restroom stop also picked up gas and coffee while I was here. The gas jockey was quick and attentive to fill my tank and polite when I ask for the receipt. Inside the cashier was nice and friendly and my only disappointment was there was no hot case food for the weekend. Sometimes I just get those gas station hot dog Cravings. LOL

Rude staff and inaccurate hours. Staff members would rather be talking with each other or on their cell phones that helping customers. Hours indicate that they are open 24/7 (even posted on their doors) but this is not true.

Today me and my friend were screamed at my en employee at this location. My friend driving pointed out that they had left us waiting for a long time at an out of service pump, and he yelled at us thats not my problem so my friend replied Well it is, you work here. You could have told us. He continued to yell to we drove off and this full grown man yelled at us the ENTIRE time we were driving away. Ive never been so disrespected by a customer service person. Maybe dude was having a bad day, but that was SO out of pocket.

This gas station has really bad employees. Waited for 5 min for a pump guy just for him to throw the gas cap around scratching my car a bit. Employees dont pay attention inside, choosing to chat instead of helping customers.

I tried to get propane tank filled here, I was told the propane station was closed cuz it was dark! Only open from dawn till dusk... ended up getting it filled at the chevron station on 22! I’ll never go to this location again! Un helpfull rude employees!

Even tho we was there way before some of the others was waited on last if wasnt on Empty would have went somewhere else

Great fast service. Has a Porters market for quick stop shopping. Great customer service. Dont forget to tip your gas attendance. Its cold out there.

I dont know his name, but one of the employees ran inside for me and got me a Pepsi while I was filling up because my 3 month old was asleep in her car seat. The store itself is very nice too.

This Shell station was recently renovated to be the best station Ive ever been to as far as Shell goes. There arent a whole lot of pumps but its a small section of the town so that doesnt really matter. The station itself or you can go in and buy food and whatnot is very nice and has a lot of fridge and shelf space. They have some warm food options as well as a coffee and pre-made latte machine. For a Shell, or give them five stars.

I had to stop here for some gas at the time there was only one gas attendant working so did take a little bit of time for him to come over to start filling up my tank I only gave four stars because I feel if you get in a full tank they should at least wash your windows and they did not.

Would give this zero stars if it was an option. The gas attendant with the prosthetic leg is extremely rude. Will not go to this gas station solely because of him. I tell people to no longer go here as well. His attitude sucks. He also refuses to come to my window. He will knock on my passenger side window and yell thru the glass. If I was alone in the car, Id let it pass but when I have other people sitting in the passenger seat I dont appreciate him expecting for us to do our business across my passenger. When I didnt give him his way, he has come to the front of my car and yells at me thru my windshield before finally coming to my window. This was a reoccurring thing with him. Another time I was in my SUV, (which the passenger window is actually broken). He was forced to come to my window. Which of course pissed him off. I told him it didnt work and he just glares at me. On his way around the front of the car he grabbed my grill brush guard and swung around it like it was his own vehicle to use as his jungle gym. He not the least gentle with the gas nozzle slamming in it and out when pumping. Amazed that no one else has complained, and that he actually is still employed there. The guys is black cloud. Will not return until he is gone. Beware of this rude dude.

This is the perfect place to go I go here for my smokes all the time love the store and workers very chill place! Highly recommended

If theres no coffee, is it even a gas station? No hot food and no coffee. No deals on cold drinks in the fridge either. All full price.

Had no problem until I got way overcharged and was told to come in a 6am which I did and the manager was an HOUR late just to be told they can’t do anything until the investigate with the employee who closed at midnight the day before(who knows when they’ll wake up) which is absolutely ridiculous and has wasted my morning and is now keeping my entire day at a halt until I get my money refunded

Very nice place! A couple guy cashiers and a woman cashier very rude to customers. Also goes to one of the gas attendnts. There was a casher that was super friendly and always smiled. I asked for his name. His name is Walker. (He also pumped my gas) I will be back if hes working.....

Getting gas here takes 10 minutes before they come up to your window and and additional 10 minutes after getting the gas and the nozzle taken care of. On my last visit at this location, I actually saw 2 other customers remove the nozzle themselves because they were sick of waiting. Plus, they are very dry and lack costumer service skills. They always grab my money slow and say nothing as the walk away.I guess not properly trained or just slow employees. Its costing this location money.

Average shell station, but the Porters store on the same lot is great for a quick stop.

I requested 20 dollars cash (flashed my cash) and was in motion to handing it to him. The gas attendant replied and stated its busy, youre gonna have to run it inside.I compromised and stated thats ok I have my card, 20 please. At this point Im being very understanding. I sit in my car, doing some research on my phone while waiting to hear the gas pump click (waiting for it to finish pumping) when I noticed I was over charged 28 dollars. I explained that he over charged me, he said I will get that refunded to you. I didnt ask for one, I just more than anything wanted to express as a customer that you didnt listen to me. Now, due to your mistake my tight budget is even more tighter.Keep in mind we are ok at this point. Things went south when the manager (Brunet-tattooed forearm, light/pale complexion) Escalated the situation by insinuating its my fault I was over pumped. She and I quote said you should have monitored the machine. If I thought my simple direction was complex and someone that pumps gas for a living would not comprehend, I would have. I thought I was pretty clear when I flashed my 20 dollar bill and verbally said 20 dollars twice I was in the good. So when I asked for my refund (not that I originally asked for one the attendant told me I could get one.) Instead of the manager listening to me and hearing my concern, I get chewed out. The manager told me I wont get a refund because the gas is in my car and if I want one to siphon the gas out you tell me how that even comes close to being professional especially for a manger? At this point because Im being witch hunted and made to look like Im the bad one/its my fault I naturally lose it. I said a few things I wish I could take back, but anyone in their right mind will lash out if they are being attacked for mistakes that werent their fault to begin with. Especially when youre the customer!As I proceed to request the corporate number to file a complaint, Im told to wait because she doesnt get paid enough to be talked to like that (Again I lost it, guilty. You understand why). As we proceed to the store the gas attendant comes at me in a fury wanting to fight me. The manager holds him off. I didnt feed it, I just raised my hands and said Im not doing anything but requesting a number that is all. She calmed him down and I proceeded inside for the corporate number. To file a complaint. I was given a fake number I have my a sticky note to prove it. I was also told I will be trespassing if I pull up to that gas station for talking to her the way I did. Once more in case you cant follow simple directions, its my fault. Dont pump gas here! They lack simple comprehensive skills, and you will probably end up with a medical bill after their attendants assault you. I have the district managers phone and name, will be following up with my complaint. Hope she does better...will update on how my issue goes.Rated one star simply because I cant go into negative numbers.

Super aggressive fueling attendants. Dropped the fuel cap on the paint and inserted the fuel nozzle so hard it scared my wife. So sad when people fail at such basic tasks.
