Great business, great people, great product. I often work with this company professionally, but recently had the chance to do so personally. Needed to pick some products for a new build and popped in to do so. They were quick to help me, explain options, and get everything in order. Super quick too - in total it took maybe 15 minutes?

I cant express enough how happy I am with their service can do attitude and how quickly my glass walls were installed. They saved my project when their competitor failed. The competitor had my tile guy groove channels into the rock and then a week later said sorry we cant proceed. So for those naysayers who are telling people to go elsewhere be warned...you might not get such great service. I needed one side of a shower door. They were able to take measurements that day. They ordered the glass and before I knew it they called and were ready to come out and install the new door. Very pleased.

Great quality. You get what you pay for and the team at South Town didnt disappoint. To maintain the integrity of my mid-century modern home, I had 5 glass pane window inserts replaced instead of using vinyl windows. The installers and estimator came out at different times to measure, just to be sure they got it right. The installation team did fantastic work and took great care with the carpentry to make the windows look original; they even repaired rot that was causing leaking. They will be installing an aluminum sliding door in the same area. Ill definitely use them for any other windows that need to be replaced with new insulated units!

After spending quite a long time making a large (33 x 68) stained glass piece to put in our bedroom window, men from Southtown Glass installed it for us. They called ahead, arrived on time, were professional and pleasant, and put it into place, although not without some difficulty. I really appreciate the great job they did.

Our house was broken into while we were out of town, and the perpetrator smashed through the sliding glass patio door on the back of our house. When we arrived home we called South Town Glass on the recommendation of a neighbor, and due to the circumstances they gave it top priority. They had someone out the same day to measure the door, and they took the frame (which was undamaged) back to the shop and ordered the replacement glass. Within a few days they delivered the frame with the new glass and installed it all within a few minutes. They were fast, friendly, reasonably price, and showed a great deal of empathy for our situation. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

Very professional and did a good clean job on my sun room window..But they didnt show up on time..

I called South Town Glass to get an estimate on screens for all my upstairs windows. The woman indicated it would be best to have someone come out and precisely measure the window frames as the window screens had no hardware and clamped into the frames. I agreed. A week later I returned to my house five minutes before the appointment time and someone from South Town Glass was on my porch looking clearly annoyed (to the point I needlessly apologized). He began measuring the frames and quickly said the screens would need hardware because they were old windows. I said if I would have known this I could have measured the windows myself and having been told the frames had to be measured exactly was misleading. He clearly became irritated and said they were not misleading and they couldnt have known the windows were old. I didnt say anything though South Town Glass has been in Salem for years and they clearly would know my street has nothing but very old houses. Next he refused to measure one window saying it was an odd size and they couldnt do it. As he was leaving I offered to pay for the service fee and he said it would be in the estimate and they would call me. He then stated We dont always take on all jobs. When he left I shook my head in utter amazement as he clearly acted like I should be so lucky to have them vs I was a customer. They never called back with an estimate and I waited nearly a month not getting the job done waiting for them. They didnt even have the decency to call to say they werent going to do the job! This place is WAY too exclusive for my taste!!

First, they screwed-up our original order for our new shower door, which put our bathroom being completed by 3 weeks. Then, when they had the glass and came out to install it, they didnt have all the hardware necessary to install it properly. When asked if they would be going to get the missing hardware, the indicated they would if they were paid an hourly rate of $100. Poor customer service.These people are scam artists because they are one of the only companies that sell custom glass in the city.My advise: Go with anyone else! Working with South Town has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Wow just some people cant be made happy I guess. I dont know what anyone is talking about with rudeness. I unknowingly called to see if they could cut a special piece of glass for a small project. Im making a memorial box for my friends husband who passed, and needed a really small piece cut for a shelf within it. Plexiglass was like $60 so I called them. They said absolutely! We custom cut and sand it down so its not sharp and can usually have it done same day. This was only a $10 order and they treated me like I ordered much more. I definitely will be using them when needed in the near future.

My first experiece with this place was awful. The lady behind the desk acted like if she did not have time to answer a couple of questions. When I finally got her to help me I scheduled an appointment for a technician to go over to my place and give me an appraisal on a glass door I needed replaced. The technician never showed up and they did not call me. I waited 2 hours after the time we agreed upon and called them again and they said they had not scheduled anything with me for that day. After two weeks I decided to give them a second chance and called again.This time the technician did show up and took a look at the door but after 15 minutes left without notice. Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere they actually care about you.

Great product and fast device but all the glass was given to us with smears and finger prints all over it.

I was rushed out rather rudely 5 minutes before closing time. When I showed them a simple window vinyl trim replacement that I needed, they wanted me to buy a whole new window. I then made the mistake of buying a few replacement window parts from this place. When I tried to return parts not needed, they would not take them back. Never did they inform that they would not. One of the times I was in there, a poor elderly woman came in asking for help taking down a mirror from a wall, they wanted to charge her like $150 for that. These guys are rude and they just want to screw anybody that allows it. I would not recommend anybody doing business here.

The Old lady on the phone is always rude everytime I call. I asked them for some help with some glass and she said their to busy for me. Their just in business to screw someone who is not looking or dont know their getting screwed. Just go somewhere else for better services.

The guy at the counter was really nice. The call I got from the office lady was border line rude. After the details were worked out she didnt apologize for being wrong. I guess Carl was too busy having a horrible radio show, yes horrible. Besides the office lady and Carl being full of himself I would still say the business is ok. Southtown glass refused to contact the tenant to make an appointment. Was very rude. We will be going with another company to replace the window.

I was treated well. I mean Noone like replacing a broken window. But they knew there stuff. I will use them again if I have to.
