I just recently started to play the acoustic guitar and the guitar I bought had some issues. I appreciate the fact that I was able to return it and upgrade for a better guitar. I wanted to thank Kale and Marty for their professionalism and patience with me. Thank you for answering all my questions and all your help. For someone new to the music world, the staff at Guitar Center, have been helpful every step of the way. Thank you.

This happen about a year ago and I forgot about leaving a review. I went in just after the stores were opening back up. There was only 3 people in the store. I was looking at guitars and wanted a new one. I ended up buying a new Gretch. $500 But the guy was downright rude. Kept telling me to cover my nose. I get it but remember your still a business. There are ways to talk to people were they dont feel pressured or uncomfortable. Really there was 3 people in the store. I havent been back

I ordered a guitar on the 24th of the month. When I placed my order the confirmation said the guitar would be delivered in 3 to 5 business days. A couple days later a man from the local store called and said they had the same guitar on the floor and asked if I wanted it instead of a new guitar. I told them no the guitar was a gift and I would prefer a new one. Mind you they called me over and over one call right after the next. I was rejecting the call because I was at work but eventually answered. They were literally immediately calling back as soon as the call was sent to my voicemail. A week later I still hadn’t received the guitar or an email saying it had shipped so I called the 800 number and was told my order had been stopped because I was picking up the used one from the store. After explaining that no I wanted a new guitar they said a new guitar would ship out of Austin Texas on Monday. The following Friday I still hadn’t received an email saying the guitar had shipped so I emailed and received an auto response saying the email was full?!? Now I have no guitar and they have my money. This is very unexpected for such a big chain. I would not recommend buying anything online from here.

Mask patrol was too preoccupied with keeping my nose covered than selling me an amp. Will be taking my business elsewhere... Another $1000 purchase lost.

Kale was awesome and super knowledgeable with gear and drum sets. Not pushy and helped me buy my Gretsch kit with some good advice and suggestions :)Only gave a 4 star because they seem over price a bit compared to other stores in the area and the store is small with little drum set wise to choose from. They push their e-kits too much on the floor. Acoustic room is cool.

Bought a guitar that had a manufacturer issue. The guys chipped in and helped me get a new model and made it happen fast. I felt that they really cared that I get what I wanted.

Fast, professional, and affordable. had somebody there within minutes come and help me out and help me pick out everything for a kid. I have no knowledge of guitars but they were very helpful and explained everything.

Lots of string & pick options for guitarists, fast & friendly service ❤ they encourage donations to music programs for underprivileged children, love that!

Fantastic place, a great selection of both guitars, guitar amps, pedals, and other instruments. As a guitarist, its nice having guitarists hired on that knew what they were doing. I was very well taken care of, and was given a quick brief of what was going on. Absolutely loved it.

Thanks for tanking my info for the call back knowing I was outside. Confirming what the order was that said it was in stock and couldn’t be found. Happy I waited. Won’t be back.Company has a sign on the door about hiring just about every management position and below. My guess is it won’t be around much longer if all their employees are leaving.

WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM GC, Just had surgery 2 weeks ago and was wearing a oxygen mask temp for recovery, Walked into GC to be bombarded by 6 employees screaming at me for not wearing a face mask properly. I cannot wear it over my nose (oxygen nasal). after being scolded by the employees I left, Went online through a place I will not say by name but rhymes with Beauticians Friend. GC lost a $5000 sale.

Been coming here for years. They have helpful employees and a decent collection of guitars, pianos, and audio equipment.

I dont know........... I dont get excited about chain stores and this is no exception. I like the feel of the indie guitar stores. I guess its okay but it is the last guitar store on my list. Its all about the bottom line for a mega corporation that has no soul in my opinion. I would be happy for the independent stores if this place went out of business. If I need a bargain I will shop the internet. The other small stores need our support not these corporate giants.

I have had my order for a guitar and amp cancelled twice in 3 days. First time whatever I’ll pay and order it online again. Since the money got deposited back into my account. I get a call from Salem guitar center saying my order is ready for pick next day around noon. Go up there the guys starts pulling my order out then ask me to pay again because they decide to do a in store purchase instead of processing an online pick up like normal. Didn’t end up doing business with them at all because my money was pending on being transferred back in.

Great service with no pressure

I was very disappointed in ordering online. I ordered a gift certificate for a Christmas gift on Dec 9 and it said delivery was expected in 3-5 business days and they would notify me when it was mailed out... they never notified me, I doubt it shipped at all. I wanted the hard copy, not a printable one. It hasn’t arrived. I called customer service to learn they cannot put tracking on gift cards, and to expect it to take a month or more (this is NOT what they said on their website), so if it’s lost, there is no way of knowing (again we side said it was being shipped ground, which has tracking, so it’s very misleading).So now I have to replace a Christmas gift (the gift card was $50), and I am doubting it will come at all per their customer service rep who was less than accommodating.In person they are great, but their website sucks and really complicated Christmas... as far as I’m concerned, they stole $50 because it appears they never sent it. :(

Two of the workers were friendly and helpful. I got what I needed, and was almost ready to head out, and this woman working there asks if I needed help finding anything, and before I could finish saying, No, thank you, she looks down and says There you go! and moves on. It was weird and rude, like she was just trying to break off communication as soon as possible. I returned $300 of merchandise because of that. Not sure how others feel, but if I buy something the customer service experience colors it, I cant use these amps for years and decades with there you go! lady all over them. Now I have to spend my time finding them elsewhere. And I wont be back to this place. The other guys were good, and they gave me a refund with no hassle. So Ill give a 3 star review, even though I wish Id never set foot in the place. There you go!

We have a great Guitar Center location here in the Inland Empire compared to others. Its large with a ton of guitars, drums and other equipment. I wish they took care of the guitars a little better though. The strings on most are either old or dirty, or both. Hard to appreciate a guitar and size it up with poor strings.

We went in looking for guitar strings. The staff were helpful in not only finding what we needed for basic needs, but they also helped us find some specialty strings we needed. The helpful staff was happy to show us and demonstrate new instruments weve never seen. The bathroom was clean and easy to find. Parking was ample. Their inventory was amazing. Overall the feel and atmosphere was fun, uplifted and easygoing.

Great inventory, great sales people! My thirteen y/o son loves coming here to look at keyboards and microphones. I love their speaker demo wall!

The people are always so friendly here! Kale helped us pick the perfect electronic drum set for my husband to practice with but never pressured us to buy more or faster than we wanted. We recently moved here from Washington and were excited to know we were allowed to play anything in the shop! Playing the drums at most WA stores is frowned upon.

Extremely nice and helpful people! They give you enough space to check things out for yourself, but then are eager to help when asked.They also have varied price ranges to fit all budgets. I went in to fix my old ukulele, but they very helpfully told me that it would just be the same price to buy a new one.

Isaac was great and knowledgeable about high end acoustics and sound. Ask for him. They have a decent selection of acoustic guitars, but I was looking for a few they didnt stock.. which I understand they only have so much room.

Came in on black Friday not knowing exactly what my daughter wanted. The gentleman who helped me took the time to educate me on ukuleles. I would recommend this location for other parents with aspiring musicians. :)

It was a very friendly shop. I do not personally have a lot of experience with instrument shops, but it was a very fun experience. There was quite a variety of instruments there, not just guitars, but keyboards, drums, banjos, you name it. They allow you to try out the instruments, use amps for the electric guitars, etc. It is a very fun place just to visit even if you decide not to buy anything.

Super friendly people the instructors are awesome they are music people which make it even better. I would recommend this place for anybody thinking allot playing an instrument. They are tailored to rock and dj stuff. With other things as well.

Pretty clean store, decent selection. Employees are generally nice, not that helpful. Theres one employee who is pretty annoying. Prices are high but they price match to reputable online music retailers.

This place is outstanding. Its so hard to find a place that has absolutely awesome customer service, but this place does. Ive been there at least a half dozen times since my first visit when I bought my first guitar, and each and every time, whomever I have spoken to has been very polite, helpful, and welcoming. I havent always had the best experience at OTHER Guitar Center locations but this one is excellent. Josh the guitar tech was very professional, easy to talk to. He explained everything and made it easy to understand. He also did excellent work on a very old guitar that was in very poor condition. It now looks brand new. Really couldnt ask for a better experience having a guitar repaired.

I loved the help that was offered to me especially very helpful and patient, At least for the person that helped me out, His name is Jay and he helped me out for music productions he told me the the way i need to set up my stage and the softwares that are required, thank you so much I just hope this helps anyone who is into electronic as I am.

A great store to be in. They have nearly everything you need in stock except a few necessities like some Mic stands which I thought was a bummer. Other than that the staff is nice and they have plenty of stiff open for you to test and have fun with.

The customer service was excellent! The employee who helped me, answered all my questions. I was shopping for our son n laws birthday so I wasnt sure which music stand I wanted. Your employee made the effort of taking a music stand out of the box and demonstrating to me how it could be adjusted to meet his music needs!

The blond female associate never greet to us who are Asians. She greets to other customers of different races. We wont return to this store.

Great gear selection. Sky high prices.Major downfall is the employees. You get the notorious *look* from them constantly. Like youre burdening them by just being there. If the general attitude was better, it would be a much better place. Obviously some of them arent that way and are friendly. But most arent.

I have this store one star simply because I couldn’t give less.I recently purchased an amp from this dealer. Because I have been waiting on another manufacturer to send me equipment I was unable to plug in my guitar center purchase and really give it a work out. Come to find out the equipment I bought from guitar center has a manufacturer defect. Because I’m past the initial 45 days I’m out of luck on getting any help from guitar center regarding getting quality equipment that will work. Unlike other dealers in town who will provide customer service guitar center only want to take my money and run. I had issues with other equipment not working right and the second dealer went to bat for me and fixed the problem without issue with no additional charge or additional warranty. Guitar center has left me on the hook unless I want to spend additional money and buy additional coverage in the form of an extended warranty.Do yourself a favor and save the headaches. Go to a different dealer that want you to return by providing exceptional customer service.

The staff is truly knowledgeable and they arent just talking out their ass. The prices are fairly reasonable and they have a decent variety/selection of what ever you could need music wise.The fact they will buy your old gear off you and give you cash or trade it in and apply the amount to your purchase is also great and makes it over all a well rounded store and hits the needs of anything musical.

It is always a great experience going into this Guitar Center. The associates are friendly and not pushy. The place is clean and displays all the items well

Really terrible customer service. Had to track down help in the store and then they just pointed to an area but couldnt be bothered assisting us. We wont be back.

This location was suddenly closed to the public and only curbside delivery offered. Yet trying to put in an order from the app was frustrating and only offered notification of when to come and get your order. Not helpful when youre in the parking lot, the sign says order online for curbside, but you have no idea how long itll take. So, Ill order from Sweetwater from now on.

Let me start by saying that the value of the service that you get with the employees of this store is top notch. Even when these guys (and girls) get busy, they’re always ready to drop what they’re doing and get you the help you need.One of the hardest things about purchasing a large ticket item is the concern that it may not be what you expected. Rest assured these guys want you to be happy with your purchase. I purchased a large ticket item recently and when I got it home, I realized it was not going to work for our needs. GC Assistant MGR Jeremiah and the Store Manager Andrew went far above their normal customer service levels to make sure that the return happened quickly.The store in Keizer is the epitome of excellent customer service. Sam in pro audio is one of the most patient guys in the business. Trust me… I have high expectations when it comes to customer service, and all these guys far exceeded it.Great work you guys! I would recommend your store to anyone.

I always enjoy looking at all the beautiful guitars. Staff are helpful. They do what they can to match you up. I buy equipment here, enjoy it, learn what I like and then trade it in, and up.

I did most of my purchase online. That being said, when I went in to pick up my purchase, the store was in great shape, the staff were wonderful in helping get just what I needed (which wasnt much) and they were very considerate. I will purchase from GC again, after I go check the stock of in store instruments at this location first.

Always very helpful and they have a lot to choose from. We often come here to buy parts, guitars and other musical instruments.Its a fun place to go try out something new. The staff will always let you try before you buy. Sometimes we go here to just play with instruments and they have no issues with it at all.However their warranties have let me down. It isnt as easy to return something broken as they claim it is. Thats why they only get 4 stars.

The store was great as it always is, however... I found the help which in my area of interest being the drum/ percussion section. Luckily I know what the heck I wanted and knew the stores layout. I say that because the staff may as well had been mute and / or blind. MAYBE BOTH🤤. THE DRUM TECH or Silent cash register specialist was less than helpful, when I asked a question about drumsticks, they said they didnt have any chicken for sale, they are a musical instrument store. Well, not that last part, but they may off well said that. 😨😩 I asked one more simple question and got a really long sigh, that repeated not twice but thrice. Followed by a look like I fondled their pet cat so I proceeded buy my Extreme 5A Vic s and beat the @#$% out of the electronic drum sets which made our all worth while. Love the store, its always top notch, their gear is the best. Yoh cant let one bad egg ruin a whole carton.

The staff here is always really helpful. The last time I went in just kind of browsing around looking at new PA speakers and I found out from one of the salesman that there was some kind of a big sale going on. I honestly cant think of the last time I went to Guitar Center and didnt save several hundred dollars because of some random sale they were having. They have a great selection of all kinds of guitars, drums, audio gear, and really any thing else you would need to make music. Plus, most of these guys and gals have expertise in their own music making and often share that as part of the sales experience. Pretty awesome being able to ask other musicians their opinion on instruments Im looking at buying.

The store is clean with nice selection. The staff seems knowledgeable. However a little bit of attitude. When we bought my husbands les Paul there about 6 or 7 years ago, they were very nice, all smiles, how is it going?, how can we help you?. We have been buying online for the last few years. Exception, when he runs out of strings, and he dosent want to wait 2 days. We do not get acknowledgement, no eye contact, or convo. Just that it and maybe a bye it feels very cold. Maybe he would buy a guitar there again, but its so uncomfortable, we just want to get in and out.

The staff are all great to deal with. Everyone is happy to be working and a great help.

Heres what bugs the HECK out of me with GC. Great place and all but why make me jump through hoops like Im a security risk to buy guitar strings? I get a simple set of strings and the lady says, your phone number? I give it to her. I dont see your number in our system. Can I get your ZIP Code? I answer, no thats OK Im just getting some guitar strings thanks. She follows up with, we need your ZIP Code. Oh the heck you do. I do business with my debit card all around town and no one ever asks me for my ZIP Code. OK never mind then. I figured Id just text my wife and ask her to order from Amazon and it will be at my door tomorrow and because Ive got Amazon prime I wont have to pay a dime to have it delivered. GC this should be a simple transaction. Dont chase your business off.
