Only cold water in the shower and good luck to find any parking spot.

Stopped in to get a few things, parked at fuel island behind another truck that had pulled up & was Stopped like they normally do. Went in got what we needed come back out & that same truck was still parked in front of us. We have already been on the fuel island for over 30 minutes waiting. Called inside & the person that finally answered after us calling 3 times didnt seem to concerned about it, was rude & had actually hung up on us while we was talking. This location will be lucky to get any kind of business from myself or my fiance in the future. Itll be a last resort with employees like that. I wouldnt of gave any stars at all but Google requires at least the one.

Cashier told our family to go to the back of the line. The line was over by the restrooms instead of behind a cash register. We were waiting next in line behind someone that was checking out. The guy behind us complained to her while we were checking out. She was rude and didnt apologize. We and the guy behind us agreed the whole setup with the line was ridiculous. Other people were also confused on why they were getting sent to the middle of an isle to be in line instead of the register.

This is only the 2nd time we stopped here. We had such wonderful service the first time that we went 30 miles out of the way for a pleasant place to park. We had been there several hours before we discovered we were in the ONLY reserved spot on the outside row. When I went in to pay (which I would have done earlier had we realized it, last week we DID park in reserved & paid as soon as we parked), the guy at the counter was extremely rude about them being sold out. I tried to explain & he wouldnt stop talking, sounding like a nagging wife who didnt want to hear what I had to say. The last thing you need when youve been 2400 miles in a short period of time is a nag! When I threw a little sarcasm back at him, he said he couldnt wait on me if I was going to be rude. Soooo, its OK if you are rude to me?!?! I ended up telling him to stop talking b/c he was the rude one.. We will NOT be back.

Its not as large as the other pilot pumps, but it is the busiest one for sure. The staff tackles with customer needs very well. The coffee and cinnabons are fresh and delicious. They have some reserved stops which you can pay for. Or they have free truck parking for several semi truck n trailers as well. They have 2 CAT scales. The washrooms are not the best you have seen but considering the number of customers using it, they are clean.

This is definitely one of the worst pilots out there. Employees have time to stand around doing nothing while the restroom is absolutely disgusting, no soap, no paper towels, no toilet paper, and no coffee. Not to mention the completley inadequate size for the amount of traffic that goes through here.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Homeless people always sleep in bathroom stalls also stalls are always disgusting. This store needs security I dont feel safe here. Showers are always closed and when open not properly cleaned 😒

Parked there at 10 pm to try and get some sleep after driving 23 hrs for a delivery n had guy nocking at my window at 12 am, got asked to leave. Do not plan to get any real rest here.

Closed the restroom for cleaning, refused to provide proper alternatives for the duration of the cleaning. Most truck stops with only one bathroom will make a couple showers available for their deep-cleans where they have to close the restroom. For quick cleans, they tend to not close them and work around people.This is a truck stop. This is literally the only place I have to use the restroom when I pull in or wake up in the morning. Not having it available is simply unacceptable.

Needs to really be cleaned up, come on pilot you can do better.

Super clean. Johnny and manager made a positive impact on my kids during a road trip through California Dec 21, 2020. The place is clean, gas prices are reasonable. This was a great place to fill up.

Who would have ever thought. That Truckers, had the Best coffee served to them, at a Pilot gas station. I stopped for my regular coffee, and got this surprise. I dont know how to use it, but thats my Next Cup of Coffee. Enjoy Truckers of The World.

Showers are not open. Its Friday. They said maybe Monday. A boiler problem with hot water. How are you serving food then? Probably a hundred plus plumbing companies in this town. Management needs to get a grip and fix your problems.

Nice people and probably best travel stop in the area. Restrooms could use more attention.

Pulled in for fuel and some food. Kept getting pestered from beggers in the lot waiting to fuel up. One lady marked my truck with a marker when I wouldnt roll down the window. Needless to say I didnt go in for food.

It takes FOREVER to get a shower ... Even if there is no waiting line. Do yourself a favor drive on.By the time youre in the next state fueled up and ready to with a shower, you would still be here waiting in comparison... Dont waste your time.

Came here with no gas to pick up a Western Union, but the Western Union wasnt working. (I was told its often not working, so beware if youre coming for that). The reason for 5 Stars is the manager gave me a couple of bucks worth of gas to get to another Western Union. What a great gesture, and a wonderful example of superior customer service. Kudos.

The showers are a joke even when it was slow it takes hours to get in I cant wait for loves to open up here to give them some competition.

Well this isn’t your regular Pilot one finds on all of the interstates across the country. First it is located in a highly populated area (Salinas has a population of more than 150000 people) so it’s not really a route stop for drivers and truckers. Showers were closed and car parking is for 2 hours or less (so don’t think of catching a few hours of sleep to continue your route safely; it may be different for big rigs, I’d hope). Super busy... felt more like a 7-11 than a Pilot Travel Stop.

What kind of a travel center doesnt allow overnight parking and doesnt have laundry? For a gas station with a shower Id give 4 stars, but as a travel center, and the only one in the area, I dont believe they deserve more than 2 stars

This update is for management to be careful with people they hires there. They keep customers change of customers not paying attention.. But one of the employee who works their is very shady. He kept my change of $5. When I came I for a shower of $15. I gave the guy $20. I should get back $5.. But in the receipt the guy enter only $15 .. And he didnt give my change back. I wasnt paying attention until after taking a shower that I look at it. I came to realized that he put in the system $15 when I gave him $20 .. So that the system doesnt register him a short at the end of the day... Which he will keep my $5 if I didnt pay attention.. This just an alert out there to customers when getting your change back.. But the manager was very nice, he able to help me with my problem.. Overall, I like the showers services.. Im very thankful..

Its the people. They seem to like their job. This particular store is in a trucking mecca(Salad Bowl of America) and its the only one. They could make it a total pay lot but they havent. My last visit was just for coffee and a 30 min break. But it was a friendly greeting and a drive safely. And a Subway sandwich. It would be popular even if it was in a bunch of parking.

Total cluster!!! unless you have ab hour to waste in the fuel line or just to scale... that is right.. 45 min to scale... just keep going

Busiest gas station in Salinas Ive seen so far. Prices are the best around. They also have showers there that can be purchased for discounts online if your traveling in need of washing up. Friendly, professional staff.

Pilot, this is a very, very busy place. As I understand it this is the only truck stop in the area you know this so why not invest in this store? Make the showers cleaner, the restrooms are nasty. A lot of truckers go thru there so you are making the money. Im not going to stop here if I can help it. I will plan to go to the next town with a better, cleaner restroom! Pilot you can do better than that!

Horrible. The staff was slow and rude. Say their committed to the safety of themselves and others but isnt true.Today I saw them tell a little kid no older than 8 be turned away from using the restroom because of no mask. SMH. I look around the store and there are over 5 other adults in the store (one of which was coughing) without masks and theyre told nothing what so ever.i will never come back to this gas station and the pathetic work ethic that these so called employees have.

It is open 24/7, with some of the best gas prices around and a Subway inside. The staff are for the most part friendly and helpful, even when overrun with customers, and yes it does get busy. The facility does have showers available, which can be handy if you have been on the road for days. As with any 24hr location, Be Aware of your surroundings, and lock your vehicle if leaving unattended please.Truck driver took out the hydrant the other day.

Always has the best gas prices. Clean bathrooms and a plus a subway connect to get a quick snack. Only down side is line get crazy its always packed. And hard to find a place to pump that doesnt have 2 card behind each other already.

Literally the best chain of gas station/pit stops. You can take a shower if needed and they are always super clean restrooms and facilities. Great prices and being a rewarded member gives you 3c off each gallon... it adds up when your always on the road!

It was easy to get into with our F350 truck pulling our brand new fifth wheel. Its a long one at 41 ft 4 inches. We had no difficulty getting deisel for the truck. Everyone we met was helpful and polite. The womens room was ok and smelled like citrus. It was fairly easy to get out as well and back on the road. 3 stars

They don’t have a dump station for RVs

This place used to be one of my favorite places to stop for coffee, shower and a bite to eat, but lately I cant make it out of my door, because of all these homeless, scary, drug addicts, lpeople there. They are just walking around waiting to ask you for money. A young man came to the passengers side of my door trying to open it as I parked. I had to leave. This place needs a security guard out there patrolling the parking and the front door where some of these scary looking people stand around waiting to ask for money.

Small truck stop cant handle the volume of trucks it gets its a nut house. Salinas has completely failed to expand to meet the needs of the trucking industry. Theres 2 small truck stops once they fill up good luck trying to find a place to park.

Craziest Pilot I have ever run across. Small not a lot of parking. Double and triple parked in fire lane. If your parked in a spot and something bad happens... like a fire. Your not getting out. Amazed fire marshall has not hammered this place

Its usually pretty good.. always packed but runs smoothly but today our lovely military got in the furthest lane, in one line and curved to block every fuel lane.. I respect our military but we have jobs to do also

Pilot was so clean and the aisles are clearly marked. There happened to be a really nice guy on the floor stocking. My grand daughter and I ask for cookies and he showed me everyone in the place. Lol. What a nice guy.

Great place. Parking lot appeared to be clean. Finding parking here is super simple. They have sensors in the parking spaces which when logged into the pilot mobile app allows you to see available parking in real time.

As a professional driver, if I get there a morning hours, if I find a ONE parking spot! Im very lucky. A later in a day just forget about any spots. If you want to use a mens bathroom in the morning, better go somewhere else. People there instead of taking a s..t and go, they must be doing something, else like surfing their phones. 15-25 minutes thats the average of the waiting there. But maybe thats my experience only..

The bathrooms did not get restocked for 12 hours, I got stuck in the stall with no toilet paper and had to call the front desk. Took over 10 minutes for them to send an employee in. Pretty sure pilot policy is hourly bathroom checks.

Usually the cheapest fuel in town, except for a few stations that offer cheap cash prices. My go to spot for fuel as it is open 24 hours, and generally clean. Parking lot lighting needs improvement and Salinas Police Department needs to deal with the large number of homeless that frequents the store as they beg from the customers getting fuel.

This pilot in Salinas California is not bad. I did have an issue with the shower person, the young man had a attitude like no tomorrow. I spoke with Johnny the manager and he handled the issues and later as we were leaving he comped me and my wifes drink, unexpected but very welcome.

Worst pilot in north America

Crazy buzy. Capacity does not handle traffic well. Long lines at pumps, and unenthusiastic staff. Best part was an almost party atmosphere at the pumps since were all in the same situation. An example of good people being good to good people.

The male management lacks morals, but actually the female clerks do a good job. Dishonesty and slander are always a sign of weak professional leadership. Be safe.

Too small. Always crowded. Drivers park wherever they want. This place is a nightmare. Three stars because the staff is great.

Very busy Pilot. Staff are nice, but a lot of the time theyre playing catch up because of how busy it is. Parking is quite scarce because of the number of trucks in the area, but reasonably well laid out. Getting in and out can be difficult because of the amount of traffic and people parking where they arent supposed to be. They do have 2 scales to make it quicker.

Dirty!!!! Shower dirty without paper and soap.... Even after waiting Moore than 1h and 3 people before me. The public restroom are VERY VERY dirty... a lot of cooler in salinas.... just this pilot... so no choice.. but it s one of the wrost!!!!

Not a had place to stop in a semi to fuel up. From November to about April you can usually pull right up to a pump. Pretty clean inside and out. Can usually find what you need in the store, pay for it, and be on your way out in minutes. Thats what you want. Fast, clean, decent service. Only drawback? From April to October it can occasionally be a madhouse due to all the agriculture in the area. They have two scales that unfortunately bookend the fuel pumps. The lines from the scales routinely block access to the pumps, or they block you leaving the pumps. Other times the lines cause gridlock in the small truck stop, because drivers in line wont move up or get in a consistent line, this keeping everyone else from entering and/or exciting the truck stop in a timely manner. More than once I fueled in about ten minutes -- but it took me five minutes to into the lot, fifteen minutes to get up to the pumps and than another fifteen to get out of the lot. Pilot needs to either expand their facility and move the scales or hire someone to keep trucks in line and keep gridlock from setting in. I tried mentioning this to the manager inside (could have been an assistant manager or just supervisor) -- but promptly was chewed out by the employee who kept saying you drivers cause all the problems, as if were all one amorphous group with a hive mind. Sad really.

Needs to be better run. High traffic location frequently has backups at the pumps b/c cash users must go inside to lone cashier, which doubles wait time in gas lines. Pump wait lines block through traffic. Large vehicles like rental vans and motor homes have trouble turning around. Pumps have no paper receipts. 1 of 3 sinks in Mens toilet not working. Staff are pleasant.

Gas, snacks and you can go in and out fast. They got plenty of pumps. Good prizes and friendly staff.

Only one gas pump per side, they have a line of about 7 but its low price on gas causes a traffic jam when wanting to pump. A direction to aid drivers line up for pump use would be useful. It does have enough space for cars to move around and drive around the line of cars and has several exits to access Sanborn St.

The place is really clean and nice.if you want to park here make sure u come early Parking is a pain in the butt and the fuel lines are always busy. The restrooms are super clean though. And if you want food theres a little mexican restaurant on the other side of the pilot that sells amazing tacos.

Its okay. Not the nicest one. The washrooms were unkept and the disabled stall is out of order. Staff are lovely though. For wifi premium one pays.

Entirely too small. Needs more parking for big trucks. But the management is awesome and handled any problems weve had here.The bread at Subway never tastes fresh. You would think that this store being as busy as it is they would invest in having a better and bigger location.

This gas station has it all. It has the most creative as seen on tv type products for your cars or trucks like portable warmers and different types of toasters and microwaves and so many different snakes and drinks. They have showers and awesome pastrys. This place is a very cool gas station slash rest stop slash truck stop.

Older Pilot in a pretty sketchy neighborhood. Showers were clean. First time we ever reserved a spot and $15 should have a shower included considering the $ truckers spend at truck stops. Nice staff.

I had a very poor experience the place was so busy I could not even get in with my RV also there is only a single pump per isle. Thats good for parallel processing of cars.I circled around a few times after about 15 minutes I went to a competitor across the street

A bit off the freeway. But easy access. Big trucks have a sperate entrance and exit. Traffic is well separated. Gas is freeway prices no surprise there.Restrooms are clean and well stocked.

Couldnt shower or shave in peace because employee kept knocking on door claiming I took too long. I checked my e-log, I was in there for just over 45 minutes counting the walk from the truck and the wait. Go take out the trash and let me enjoy the one shower I get this week.

Good place to stop for diesel on your easy to Pismo. Safeway points and Good Sam points work here.

Well its another busy pilot. This place is much like most other pilot truck stops. I hope you have time to burn. There is always a line to get in the place. When you finally get in prepare to stand in long lines to purchase anything. If you need a shower prepare to wait a couple of hours. The good part is if you need a quick fix on your truck they have guys there standing by. Parking is like winning the lotto. Your better off parking by one of the many coolers in town.

Regularly among the most affordable stations in town. Big store with a great coffee bar. And Cinnabons! Half of the store is food/drinks, half is handy stuff you might need to pick up on the road.

Shower girl was rude to everyone waiting for a shower. I heard her talk to a full grown man like he was a 10 year old child then be rude to me. The ONLY reason we stop here is because our. company only uses pilot. I cant express how much i DONT like this location!

Always one of the greatest gas prices in Salinas. Snack selection is outstanding and restrooms are always clean. Theres only a few gas pumps so theres always a weight. But its worth it.

The pilot was not that great. The female lady who ringed the product up was nice. That was the best part, she had a beautiful smile. The bathrooms were disgusting. I was going to get a shower but didnt want to waste a shower credit. If they dont take care of the bathrooms then the showers will be worse.

I got here at 10am on a Sunday & was lucky to get a spot to park. I found the shower was very clean but I got hotter water out of the sink than the shower. But all around, Id say it is a nice place.😊👍

Very clean showers well kept location great attendy help from staff and employees. The out side and parking lot was orderly ketp up not trashy like others ive been to. Minimul homeless and beggers. All is well just need to add more parking.

Best price in gas around Plus fast and efficient food Subway, showers clean and spacious, always the best price in cigarettes and gas, with Western Union available dear. I think thats enough for a great place to stop get what you need and get back on the road

Honestly the interactions with the employees was great. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because the parking is terrible for trucks. Kinda seems like they cramped the idea of a truck parking lot in at the last second. But I have seen worse. So if it aint a problem for you 5 stars all the way.

Its a pretty great place to go after a long trip. You can go inside and find some great food plus equipment.
